Her favourite birthday present by far! A great toy which even the adults have enjoyed having a go at! Good range of music on there and tools to use. Plus not too annoying for the adults!
Such a great first music DJ set for my disabled boy it’s absolutely perfect for sensory & easy play he will enjoy this so much especially as his initials are D J for the reason that his daddy was a well known DJ so he can now be like his daddy !
Having got one via Amazon, we were not disappointed. Its a really really good and all in the house enjoy it. The scratch wheel is hit and miss but as a sum of its parts, well worth it. Music and music creation offers so much and this is a great way to start to play. Create some beats, rhymes and baselines in seconds.

This was a Christmas present for my 8 year old music mad son and he loved it. Great fun creating different songs and mixing beats in. We also hooked it up to our own music with the Bluetooth which is very easy. Vtech products are really well made and this is no exception. A toy that will last for a while!
It’s great kids love it. Only thing is it doesn’t come with a charger/power. Lasted about 4days of good use. Luckily I have a charger and some rechargeable batteries. But not everyone will have these so might burn through batteries quickly
Great keeps kids entertained for hours only issues it could come with a plug for the price rather than batteries.. you can buy ac adapter but will cost you extra 10 to 15 pounds
Brilliant toy. This was a whim buy and turned out to be one of the best Christmas presents we got this year. Daughter loves it and loves the record own voice function to then put on a loop and add music too. Esp her fave songs from mummies phone!

This isn’t mentioned anywhere in the small booklet that comes with the toy, nor the instructions they direct you to download, nor on the box, nor on the screen of the device itself. Initially the Line In is inaudible and the Bluetooth option just appears on screen and immediately disappears. The toy also starts playing as soon as you turn it on, and powers off after only a few seconds idle. It turns out all these things are features of Demo Mode.
To take the toy out of demo mode you have to hold down the ‘5’ numbered sample button for three seconds. Once you do this, it should operate normally.
It’s a nice little musical toy. It’s fun making your own music, even at a basic level. The game mode is also fun and challenging for kids. Generally well-featured and enjoyable. Just a shame it has a really large flaw in the instructions!
This is a lovely item. Purchased for a 7 year olds birthday, she has had great fun testing out all of the features. Everything works well and there are a lot of sound options to choose from, meaning you can mix sounds in many different ways. The object seems sturdy and is easy to carry. We haven’t yet had to replace the batteries it came with, which are said to be for demo purposes, and its been 2 weeks.
There is a power socket so you could attach a power supply. There is also a socket for headphones.
He loves it, plays all sorts of tunes. Lights up it’s a good toy.
Bought for my 6 year old son who loves music. He loves this toy, it is sturdy and after a quick read of instructions it is easy to use. We found connecting to Bluetooth a bit tricky but once we found a YouTube video to help us we worked it all out. Definitely recommend it!

I got this for my 7 year old, and as he is practising and trying to listen back to his beats, it turns its self off?? At the moment he’s tolerating it, because he loves it! this keeps him happy for some time. Sound is good and lights are an added extra!

My son 7 loves this device and so does his siblings 6. It had good sound quality and the children can make all kinds of mixes. Only problem is I’m finding it hard to connect the Bluetooth but I’m sure I will accomplish this when I give more time to it.

My 8 year old got this for Christmas and she loves it. You need to make sure you are out of demo mode and then let them play. There are bits she hasn’t worked out now to do yet but we can help her with that – I’d prefer that to her knowing everything in one day and then getting bored of it. Great for older children she will get lots of play out of this. My ten year old also enjoys it. And they enjoy teaching their grandparents to play it too! Entertaining for the whole family!
This is the best Christmas present we got the kids. Bought for one but both love it, seriously impressive bit of kit for a toy. Our youngest has picked it up very easily, creating their own samples, mixing riffs together and scratching to their hearts content. Only thing I would have would be the ability to output to a Bluetooth device, everything else is absolutely amazing, as stated, for a toy. Highly recommended

It’s portable, robust, and full of features. The buttons are nicely laid out and simple to navigate, and the interface is simple enough for children to get the hang of quickly – but still complicated enough to keep them intrigued and learning.
The build quality is great and will most likely withstand the rough handling of little ones. i I don’t have to worry about having to replace it if it ever gets knocked over.
The music can become very loud and the LED colours look excellent in a dark room. The Bluetooth connection worked seamlessly and was very easy to set up.
The mic also picked up voices and tunes very easily when recording own tracks. The fact that there are many features and customisations makes this a good value toy likely to last a long while of good use. The build quality helps it to do that too.

If you want to make the most out of this then you do need to spend a little bit of time understanding how to use it so you can help your children enjoy it. Hey I would say this will be really well suited to any parents they do have a love of electronic music and have a basic understanding of mixing. Hey you can even connect a Bluetooth audio source like an iPhone or iPad to allow an additional input.
The built in disco light is a nice touch and due to the level of interactivity and stimulation this is pretty much a surefire hit for any child that wants to enjoy.
We have an 8-year-old who is into Dj sampling and drum pads and he has wanted to try a mixing desk for a while, the trouble is most systems out there are aimed at pros or teenagers and can be a bit complex to use with the PC etc.
This set gives a great introduction and even has a set of tables on it for mixing tracks. The kit is very well made and sounds good.

When you switch it on there are lights flashing from the built in disco ball and music playing. You have the option to record your own sound track as well as sound effects, and then save them to memory to playback. Connect your own devices using Bluetooth — quick and easy to connect. There are 3 modes of play, built in tracks and various music styles — this would be suitable and loved by both boys and girls and the Age recommendation is 6+ which I would agree with, perhaps even a tad older as some of the functions are not so straightforward. I especially loved the DJ turntable and recorded my own soundtrack to playback — I have some ways to go to become my inner DJ but just packed full of creativity and independent play that my grandkids will love to play with.
Takes 4 AA batteries (which are included but for demo purpose only, so will need to soon be replaced) but yes, I do absolutely recommend.
