I know Weber products are expensive but they last ,after burning nearly every piece of food on my traditional charcoal BBQ I decided to get a portable gas one.
We have managed to feed 6 people from this BBQ,it cooks not burns food ,it’s wonderful.
Bought this for camping ! Great mobile bbq does the job ! Cooks everything well . Was sold on this as used one in Australia and they are a lot cheaper out there !!
I was looking for a quality portable gas bbq and the Q1000 ticked most boxes.
The improvements that could be made are a replaceable foil liner to make internal cleaning easier and a little more distance between the burner and grill plates to allow fat deflector plates to be fitted to reduce flame flare ups.
Overall it’s a good item at an excellent price.
I love this BBQ. It’s super easy to assemble. Super easy to ignite. Super easy to get to temp. Super easy to control the temperature. Super easy to cook food. Super easy to clean and super easy to put away.
Like I said, I love this BBQ.
The BBQ is a good one. Looks the part. Isn’t too heavy, so can be easily transported. The stand is light-weight and slightly wobbly if on uneven ground. The only issue we had was with connecting a gas canister. The bbq is designed to have Weber’s own tiny cannisters, but I had a slightly bigger cannister (with a different cap) that I wanted to use instead. So I ordered a new, longer hose, together with a Jubilee Clamp and attached it to my own cannister. Problem solved 🙂
Pure quality and well worth the money and Should last for a long time!!!!!
This little guy did our Christmas dinner this year providing some delicious venison for 4 adults. Beef burgers and chicken breasts come out delicious too!
Assembly, usage and cleaning are trivial.
Despite other review, it DOES support non-original cartridges. I use GoSystems PowerSource cartridges which are sold in almost every single hardware store here in Ireland. JUST make sure the cartridge complies with EN417 standard with a screw on top of the cartridge ‘cos you’ll have to screw regulator to the cartridge.
I’m a female who’s is completely useless at setting anything up. I have no patience for instructions and I break everything.
This is quite frankly brilliant. Easy to set up, easy to use. In love with it. I bought a small metal smoke box & hickory chips which worked really well to add smoky flavour to the gas grill. Bye bye charcoal hello wood smoking. I feel very American now yeeehaw cowboys! Such a great buy. You need one in your life. Just press order, it won’t disappoint. In fact.. I feel like I’m in Texas rather than Cumbria! Hastag Weber club, hastag little pops of sausage, hastag outdoor life, hastag capsule cooking, hastag get someone else to clean it.
This is a really great barbecue. Easy to lift, easy to operate and it cooks impressively.
Great portable gas bbq for home, holiday house or or camping. Very easy to set up. I used some colman c500 (EN417) gas canisters which work perfectly. Good quality, heavy enamel cooking grill, gives those flame grilled stripes. Plenty of space for 4 burgers and courgette slices. It comes with one tin foil tray which is easily washed so no need to buy a pack of those. I’m a gas fan to be honest, the days of charcoal, zip fire lighters, 30 minute wait and a pile of ash the next morning are long gone. This is so easy.
Love the size of it and the ease of cleaning the plates which went into the dishwasher. I would have liked a non stick finish to the inside of the cover but as long as you clean it as soon as possible after cooking, then it’s not too bad. The other thing I would have liked is a temperature gauge which I had on my last bbq. Weber isn’t cheap by any means, but so far I’m happy with the quality. We rest the BBQ on an old camping shelving unit which is perfect. You definitely need somewhere to put it so that it’s at your eye level or you’ll have backache bending down!
I’ve had the Q100 version for almost 10 years, its been lugged about the place and used camping for over a month in France a couple of times.
Even after 10 years it’s almost as good as new.
All my friends have this version and they have lasted….
This BBQ will outlast and pay for itself multiple times over.
Handy size that fits in the boot of the car, which means on a bright evening after work its straight to the beach for a bbq…!
got fed up of having to replace my Cadac BBQ when the performance dropped off. Watched several reviews on Youtube and decided to go for it despite the high price.
The Weber ouses quality in its materials and finish. Gets very hot quickly but will turn down in steps. perfect for stakes and sausages and i’m about to try fish.
Another big like is the large drip tray which uses a foil dish and goes into bib and the ease of cleaning of the rest. and it comes with a good guarantee.
