Video average for day and night vision. Could not link indoor bell. Motion sometimes fails but at least it works with wifi.

I love this doorbell camera. I’d been looking around for one of these for a really long time. I’ve looked at the Ring doorbells, and various other high end doorbell cameras, but i always resisted getting them because you had to pay a monthly charge in order for them to be effective. This one doesn’t cost you anything monthly.
It comes with a 4gb SD card which honestly is perfect for us. The battery on this doorbell camera lasts about a month and a half give or take how often it is triggered by the motion detection. At the time i remove this to charge it, i take the SD card out and wipe all the videos i don’t want to keep from it. Which for the most part is always a clean wipe. It take a few hours to fully charge back to full. then i put it back up and i am good to go for another month and a half at least.

I like that the app tells you how low your battery is, so you know when you need to charge it up. so there is no guessing, it always tells you. I also like that when someone rings the doorbell it alerts you on your phone that you have a visitor, so you can drop into the camera to see who it is, and you can even talk to them, if you aren’t at home, or even if you are, and just don’t want to get up and go to the door.

My one main complaint is that for the first 3 months i had this i was not getting the notifications on my phone when it detected movement. i had restarted it, re-downloaded the app. I did everything i could think of to fix it. Then just about a week ago, a firmware update popped up on my phone. I downloaded the update, restarted the app and voila! i had the working notifications.

So i love this thing, after we’ve had items stolen out of our yard several times now, this gives me peace of mind that if it does happen again, we’ll have some evidence to finally hand over to the police.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersOverall, I really like this doorbell camera. It was easy to install and easy to set up. It does alert you to motion, but sometimes I will look of the picture of what was moving and there is nothing. I’ve noticed that some times the actual picture it takes and the time my phone gets an alert is about 30 seconds later than any motion. I’ve also noticed that when someone like Amazon rings the bell and then walks away, I am only getting pictures of their backs. My kids do come and go, so I know it does catch movement as someone is walking up the walkway and it does take pictures. I’m was only going to give 3 stars because of the annoying times it detects motion, but nothing is there. I’m wondering if it is a kid riding their bike and they are out of range before a picture is taken.
Also, I will mention, I do like that it is obviously a camera doorbell and that there is no way that someone could easily steal it without the special tool to take it out or a crow bar to get the entire mounting bracket off of my house.

~ Easy to install. (You will need a drill though, which I had to borrow.)
    ~ Easy to set up.
~ You can tell it is a doorbell camera when you approach my door.
~ Would not be easily removed by anyone.
~ Keeps track of when my kids leave and when they get back.
~ If someone stays at your door waiting for you to answer, you can communicate with them with your phone, even if you are not home.
~ I know when packages have arrived and can grab them off the porch before anyone has a chance to steal them.
~ It is mounted by my door with screws, rather than double sided foam tape, like other doorbell cameras I looked at.

So I’ll bump it up to 5 starts just for those reasons.

Arrived in mint condition. Simple installation. You charge up the camera, then connect the app (android and iOS), then the app walks you through setup of your camera. Total time about 10 minutes. Don’t lose the tiny screwdriver because the screw to hold the camera into the base NEEDS that particular shape.

When someone rings the bell you can speak with them through the connected app. Also, the auto alert has a “human only” mode. Will update if we have any issues or concerns but as of today (just received it and installed it) we love it. Will most likely be getting another.

Camera quality is amazing. Easy set up

This wireless doorbell works with 2.4 GHz wifi signal, and like most or any other wireless doorbells, your home router needs to be close to where this doorbell is installed to avoid any delays in notifications, voice and audio lag, even if the wifi signal bars show as high.

The doorbell comes with wall screws and anchors, a tool to remove the doorbell from its mount, a 4 GB microSD installed, the charging cable and wall adapter plus the instructions.

Setting up the doorbell via de G-Homa+ app is very easy and straightforward.

The chime box is small and connects directly to a power outlet, and it has a nice volume.

Now, my router being somewhat far from the doorbell causes a delay from the time when the button is pressed to when I receive a notification on my phone. Usually this also affects the motion sensor notification, causing both the motion sensor and doorbell button notification to arrive at the same time a few seconds later. When it comes to video, because of this same issue of having the wifi router kind of far, the video freezes most of the time and there is a big delay between the movement of the person outside and when the movement is seen in the app.

Solving this connectivity issue makes the doorbell a great tool for when you’re not home or unable to come answer the door.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersBeing a gadgetaholic for decades means I’ve always wanted the newest and best tech devices. Lately I have been obsessed with video doorbells. Started with Ring but didn’t like the viewing angle or having to pay for services. Tried Remo, Morecam, Gbasics, ETSROW and chose EZVIZ because it has the widest/best vertical coverage that lets me see packages left on my front doormat. However, when I’m upstairs, I don’t always hear the mechanical doorbell downstairs> I also wish it had built-in battery so it could still record events during a power failure.
    G-Homa to the rescue.
    PRO
    1. Built-in battery, can be wired to existing doorbell wiring and has a USB charger port too.
    2. Good wide horizontal and vertical coverage
    3. Good HD image quality
    4. Includes remote ringer/chime that you simply plug into any electrical outlet and it’s plenty loud.
    5. You can move the ringer/chime instantly by simply plugging it into another electrical outlet in your home. It automatically reconnects to doorbell.
    6. Four mounting screws for more secure wall/door attachment (others use only 2 screws)
    CON
    1. If you want the grid to select detection zones, you have to pay extra. That feature is free with EZVIZ. However, EZVIZ frequently loses WiFi connection and sometimes stops communicating with a wired chime which requires deleting and reinstalling the device. That’s why I switched to this G-Homa.
    2. Vertical (head to toe) viewing angle is not as good as EZVIZ or LaView DB7 (I will be reviewing DB7 in 2022)
I hope this review helps at least ONE person because I’m a big believer in “what goes around, comes around.”

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersThis product performs exactly as advertised.
    Setup was super easy:
    – charge the camera
    – plug in the chime
    – Install the bracket
    – download the software from the App Store
    – pair
    – configure
    => done
The whole setup including drilling 3 holes for the installation, pairing to the wireless network and setup up the camera to my preferences took less than 5 minutes! No wires or cables required!
The chime product a loud (configurable) sound when the button is pressed.
The camera is activated when the button is pressed and a notification is send to my phone.
The can also be triggered by a motion sensor. Or you can activate the camera at any time from your phone.
Photos and Videos can be stored on the SD card in the camera, or on the phone.
I really like that no subscription or external services are required.
This is about s easy and straightforward as a Video Doorbell Camera can be
