Like the fact it’s an easy-to-use saw, keyboard tool for easy blade changes, good clean cuts with plenty of power at your fingertips when needed as it’s brushless motor pushes thru your cuts with good speed just let the saw do the work just as you would do with any hand saw . Highly recommended
This is a good cordless saw. Accurate and powerful. Always use a thin kerf blade that is sharp. However it will eat through the battery’s quickly when ripping timber. A 4Ah battery is really the minimum which Worx sold me with the saw. It really should be sold with a 6AH battery or more. 8AH Battery for some reason are not available in the UK but this saw could do with it. If you expect to use a2AH battery the saw will not have enough power.
I went for this model because I needed a replacement 190mm circular saw, and wanted a better brand than my two previous budget models which burned out. I also went for cordless for ease of use, and opted for WORX to use the same batteries as for my chainsaw.
I’ve only had it a month and used it a couple of times, but initial thoughts are that it works well, is easy to use, and though not used yet for anything precise, seems to do what’s needed. There are two limitations experienced so far:
– battery life is okay but I’m glad that I have a spare. I was through both in well under an hour of intermittent cutting, so either need to get another battery or plan my day around recharging.
– torque is okay, but not as good as my previous mains models. I definitely had to get the saw up to full speed before engaging the timber, and to move the saw more slowly through the timber than on my mains models.
Overall the two limitations are down to it being a bettery machine, but I think that they’re outweighed by the advantages of a battery machine.
Great product, I have a combi drill and multi saw, but they are not light. For me, not a problem, but for some, it could be an issue
Great as a grab and go saw I do property maintenance and find this perfect to trim door bottems or cut up a floorboard yes it does stall if you push hard but it is battery not mains
Again another Wrox item purchased. Lightweight strong and sturdy cordless circular saw. I highly recommend this circular saw
Had my WX520 since jsut after christmas. Its a bit of a beast but for its size of blade its lighter than my older 165mm Makita. Only think Id have liked to see was the EXACTRACK on this one too.
