This thing is amazing, I needed it to cut down a very old metal frame at the allotment that can’t be unbolted because of rust, and of course being an allotment we don’t have any mains power.
Paired with Bosch cutting discs (you don’t get any cutting discs in the box) it had no issues getting through the metal bars.
It does chew through batteries, I haven’t had to change the cutting disc at all yet after 12 different cuts but I have gone through at least 4 5aH batteries so far. Not a massive issue because I have a lot of batteries but something to be aware of.
Only rating 4 stars purely because it only comes with one grinding disc, it would be great to be given at least one cutting disc in the box. But it’s pretty standard of Worx to give the bare minimum in the box, sadly.
Also the instructions are quite difficult to make sense of if it’s your first time using an angle grinder.
This is one of those tools that once you have it you’ll probably find lots of odd little jobs that it’s useful for, especially if you’re somewhere that doesn’t have any mains power like an allotment or renovating a house.
I bought this because I have other good worx tools. They do the job well and batteries interchange. cuts Ok but don’t push it, it will stop.
-Have to add in 3 months the switch has stopped working. Only light and very occasional use. Been handy, but disappointing..
Good battery. Easy to use . Arrived as expected . Used to cut granite
Great product. So portable good battery life and at good price
I thought that I would only use it where a corded tool was impractical, but I doubt that the corded grinders will get used in the future!
Works well for flap discs, cutting with battery powered tools is always a slower process but overall top quality from a good brand
I just love Worx tools and now have a great range. This is a superb addition.
Useful when working remotely in the field. Battery ought to be the 4 Ah though
Tries to cut 20mm mild steel.bar a it just kept dying out, no torque at all, only good for light sanding
Easy to use. Speedy delivery. Does the job. People need to remember the discs are 115 mm and not 125 mm size as there are two sizes that look similar. I find Worxs brand are good and a few other brands are compatible
Easy to use one handed if required, quick change of disks, cutters etc, plenty of power for most jobs, good tool kit investme
Great piece of kit. Compact and light to use. But powerful enough to do the business.
Well made, easy to use and operate, pretty powerful and lasts quite well even on a 2 amph battery!
Great bit if kit but would recommend 4ah batteries or higher for use as the standard 2ah PowerShare battery is not man enough !!
a very good sturdy well built grinder at a fair price used it all ready
tried it out cut and ground 8mm angle iron with ease
Absolute beast of a tool.
Cut through concrete slabs like butter.
Also used to carve out a tree stump with ease.
Built in safety feature, motor will cut out when disk jamming is detected.
As annoying as this feature is….It’s for a reason..SAFETY!!
Highly recommend!!!
Brilliant just what I was looking for.. now I can do work at their homes Thank you for getting this to me so fast…
The courier was very nice which always helps
just got half decent day to use this tool to cut down my tv ariel and mast as fixing bracket towall had broken due to rust and high gust of wind during the last couple of gales we have had ten minutes work without the hassle of trailing leads in wet weather .very handy and worth the money
Great to have a cordless grinder, already had spare batteries from drills of the same brand. Battery doesn’t last too long though, good to have a couple ready.
Good for cutting off nuts and bolts,a bit gutless for more sustained work.
Nice little grinder that is useful for all sorts of jobs. Not quite the grinding strength of my mains grinder but I can take this one anywhere so it is a useful addition to the tool kit. I wouldn’t like this to be my only grinder. The disks are smaller than normal (115mm rather than 125mm) and the torque doesn’t allow you to get some of the larger jobs done.
Excellent cordless grinder! Good amount of power from it only slight thing is that batteries don’t last long when using it so really is recommend that you buy two 4ah batteries with it then you should have no worries.
Have a large supply of batteries ready. Then it is super convenient, powerful, overall great.
This is a brilliant little grinder and great battery life and ligh
his is a brilliant tool more powerful than I expected
I was a little dubious about this before my purchase but having just used it for the first time on a steel boat I must say it works as well as my corded mains grinder. I didn’t time how long the batteries lasted but I only had to use the second one briefly, one battery did nearly all the work I wanted to do today, I had taken a Third battery from another Worx tool expecting to need that too but that came home untouched.
Comfortable to hold and use and plenty of power, so glad i bought i
As I’ve approached middle age, the urge to buy power tools has become hard to resist. The Worx brand has interchangeable batteries so as the power tool collection builds up, the number of spare batteries increases. I used this to cut some 50mm paving slabs. I needed to buy a better cutting disk but the grinder did the job fine and the batteries work with both my drill and my recip saw.
Love it cord free grinder and cutter makes life so much easier usually cords never long enough got a big kick and great speed with 20v off power top class tool
yeah got it ok works fine thanks for the fast pos
Brilliant price of kit. Don’t use it very often but when I need to iv never felt any issues. I use it to cut down a 4 inch flue for boilers. I have a cutting disk to cut it (obviously) and the grinding disk that comes with it does it’s job of smoothing the rough cut. Worked with people that use Makita or other big named brands and this holds up against them. This one is comfier to grip and just seems much easier to use. Not much differences except the price. Oh and the batteries. No more fumbling with 6 different batteries of different shapes, sizes and makes.
Good bit of kit for light jobs. Batteries only last a short time so good to have a spare. I also bought a saw blade for it, which worked well on woods and plastic.
Great grinder, complete with 2 batteries so no fear of running out of powe
