I am currently cladding the outside of our house with Larch panelling. To be more accurate, I have employed a joiner and his apprentice to do it for me, as there is so much to do. Our existing walls were white pebbledash , as the house was built between the wars and our architect came up with a scheme to modernise the property while extending it. The first job was to batten the walls and then to staple on a dampproof membrane and finally nailing on the 1000 x 4,8 m lengths of Larch. My carpenters Pa sloe Nailer packed up before he stared on the felt or the Larch, so to help him out, as I already have over 30 WORX tools I bought this DIY tool to help. Well to his absolute delight it has performed as well as any 2nd fix gun he has used. It has been non stop for about 10 days, that is about 50 hours of use.. To be honest the first one came with a broken spring, which was an assembly/testing error, but the replacement has been 100%.

I was looking for something to replace an old manual stapler which was very stiff to operate. I already have some Worx tools to this without the battery seemed the obvious choice. It works well with the added benefit of being able to fire brad nails as well – I’ve not used that function yet. Staples fire Ok with plenty of depth adjustment. You can even use the staples in a “cage” mode to clip wiring to a surface. The only downside is that my old staples don’t fit this new tool requiring me to buy more of the correct size. Apart from that it’s performed well so far.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOnly just got this, and seen it mentioned its for US market, but thats incorrect because this uses UK batteries as the US version uses a slightly different battery. First thought quite powerful certainly makes lite work of staples, it also takes small bard nails up to 15mm. It comes with staples and brad nails

This takes Tackwise 53 series 53/14mm 9/16″ staples okay and Tackwise 18G/15mm 5/8″ brad nails

Update used it other day to put in around 150 staples. Still using same 2 mAh battery. I used tackwise staples as mentioned above. I did on quite a few occasions have to remove a staple that wouldn’t come out but it was easy to remove

Takes UK batteries this is for uk market see worx battery that works on it (WA3551.1)
