I decided on the 13.3inch screen as I intend to use this on my lap, and anything bigger would be unweildy, but I wanted something large enough to see clearly. There is a lot of bezzle on this, even more than the glass of the screen, so there is quite a bit of wasted space and added bulk, but I see most of this sort of tablet is the same, so Im sure there must be a reason for it?
I havent had much chance to play with this yet, but so far I really like it, the pen isnt too bulky like Ive struggled with in the past, and the screen is nice and sharp and responsive.
The wheel and buttons on the side are very useful and Ive already bound them to undo, copy, paste, delete etc. The software you download to go with it is very easy to use, and the instructions tell you exactly how to get it.
The feel on the nib is very nice, no gritty feeling that can sometimes happen and it glides smoothly.
As a lefty with quite large hands, I wasnt expecting the glove to be of any use to me, but it does actualy fit ok, well enough to use anyway.
Over all a very nice display tablet considering how much cheaper it is compared to others of a similar nature and the buttons and wheel are an almost required feature. So far, I highly recomend.
Works great haven’t had any problems, came with everything. Looked at the reviews of people that had an error pop up on the tablet when they bought it which showed up on mine as well but with further analysing it wasn’t an actual problem just needed another wire plugged in simple problem really so keep that in mind when you come across those reviews.
My Daughter is over the moon with her Christmas Present. Draws all the time, hoping this is going to help when she gets to college.
I have software for embroidery design doodler. The XP-Pen is fantastic to use and gives good results.
This tablets is awesome, I don’t have a single complaint. I use it both for professional and personal work projects, it’s incredibly easy to use and accurate.
My only suggestion is to also buy a high speed usbc cable along side it as the cable is incredibly short. This isn’t an issue in 99% of cases as you’ll be using at a desk, but I wanted to connect mine to my desktop and use it in bed.
I wholeheartedly recommend this to anyone who wants a graphics tablet, though maybe consider if you NEED a screen, as ones without screens are far far cheaper and work just as well.
But if a screen is preferred, this is an amazing tablet to suit your needs. I’d rate it even higher if I could.

This is my first tablet with a screen in it, and it’s so much easier to work with. It’s a big jump from the XP Pen Deco Pro I was using, and it’s easily felt in the build quality – it’s plastic, but has a real heft to it and doesn’t feel cheap. The scroll wheel was really loose and easy to nudge on the Deco Pro, but the Artist 15.6 Pro has a clicky wheel with tactile bumps on every notch that is near-impossible to nudge accidentally, while still being responsive and easy to move when you want to use it. The buttons along the side have notches in them so you can feel your way to them – I like this, but I wish the notches were a little bigger and easier to feel.
The screen quality is fantastic with bright colours and a fast response, and I haven’t had any problems with the pen. The driver software is easy to use and customise per application, which I find really handy. It took some getting used to, but I’ve got my buttons set up with shortcut keys and macros on all my most used applications, which has come in pretty handy.
My only wish is that it had mounting holes on it! It would be great to have it on an arm.

La tavoletta molto ben fatta e la penna comoda, ho preso la versione 15.6 pollici full HD e forse un po’ grande per me; installare il software facile, per configurarlo invece ci ho messo un po’ ma una volta fatto mi trovo benissimo e si pu personalizzare tutto a seconda dell’app che si usa; si connette anche a dispositivi Android con otg, utile per esempio perch su Android c’ ibis Paint che un’app di disegno favolosa ma che non si trova per Mac/PC. In definitiva un ottima tavoletta, se avesse avuto anche la penna con la gomma posteriore sarebbe stata perfetta.

Bought it for my 8 year old daughter, she loves it and spends an hour or two every day drawing. Shortcuts are easy to use and installation is simple. You can choose the corresponding painting software according to your computer configuration. My daughter is using sai2. I have tried it with Photoshop, and it is very comfortable. The price and quality of this product should be very cost-effective compared with other brands. My daughter is very satisfied.
This product does everything is says it will and more! Have been away from art for about a decade and wanted to try my hand at digital art, so I shoppped around and this was an excellent price for what you actually get. Would recommend also purchasing Clip Studio Pro as it does not have a built in art programme.
I was looking for a replacement Wacom tablet but tried this as it was a lot cheaper, so pleased I did, works a treat, I use it when using Photoshop, Illustrator and Blender, works so well and the sensitivity feels very much like a real pen/brush.

J’ai achet cette tablette, car elle a un trs bon niveau qualit/taille de l’cran/prix. J’avais une Wacom intuos sans cran, mais j’ai beaucoup de misre avec la coordination cran/main, j’avais donc besoin de quelque chose que je peux voir et a peut couter assez cher. Cette tablette est trs efficace et je l’utilise quotidiennement (mme comme 2e cran d’ordinateur pour l’affichage haha)! Je la recommande tous! 🙂
The Zoom feature is also very handy for those of us with older eyes, so I don’t need to wear two pairs of glasses to get the details right anymore!
I’ve always dreamed of owning a monitor type tablet but back in the day Wacom was the only brand you could buy and it was something like 2000+ AUD.
This xp pen tab is gorgeous and does what the bigger brand tab does at a very low cost with many extras, like pen nibs, glove, stand and even a free premium app to start your drawing journey. ( I can’t believe this isn’t advertised )
If you ain’t a high roller this is a great option.

I will be honest, before I purchase this I was a Wacom tablet user. Even though I purchase one of these I wasn’t expecting all that much. Because it is so much cheaper than a Wacom drawing tablet I just assumed it wouldn’t be all that good. But boy was I wrong, this tablet is fantastic. I use it with Photoshop and clip Studio. And I have zero complaints. It is fantastic I highly recommend this produc
Great product, had some trouble setting it up but now everything runs smoothly. If you have a mac book pro m1 you’ll need to buy an adapter but other than that it comes with everything you’ll need.
The XP-PEN Artist 15.6 Pro is by far the best purchase decision I’ve ever made as a digital illustrator. If you are in the market for a screen drawing tablet, I really recommend this product. At the very least you should include this in your research for drawing hardware.
This tablet is as advertised and set up is easy, plug-n-play for the most part though I really recommend downloading the driver software so you can customize your buttons and work area. The cables they provide takes into consideration what you’ll need; HDMI, USB for the tablet functions itself, and a USB for power if it is necessary. It connects to the tablet via USB-C so no worries about figuring out which way you need to stick the cable in. There are 8 buttons on the side that can be programmed using the driver software. There is also a dial that you can program to fit whatever you need a dial for (size, zoom, or rotation, etc). On the side where the USB-C goes in are buttons for monitor brightness and power to turn it on and off.
The SCREEN size is in the name, 15.6 inches diagonally from one corner to another. The size of the product itself exceeds this though (11″X16″ according to one user), so if you have some size constraints, keep that in mind. It’s profile is slim, 11 mm according to the product description, +/- 2mm, so it’s travel friendly in my opinion. You should use a case for transport since it is a monitor (or just be really gentle and pad it, I guess).
The pen it comes with is cordless/batteryless and has a brush-handle shape to it. The pen case has a cap that doubles as a pen holder for when you put it down. On the other end of the pen case is the spare nibs. The pen has what I would assume is a rubber grip. No eraser side for those that are used to that on a pen. It has tilt functions which, while I don’t use often, is useful for those that have creative uses for that kind of function. It also has the 2 standard buttons on the handle that can be reprogrammed to whatever you need them to do.
Photos included has my (temporary) setup with the tablet. It’s seated on a laptop tray that is held up by a basic monitor joint mount. Keep in mind that, I don’t usually use this as my main monitor.
One thing I will note is that the tablet will make an audible buzz if you turn the brightness up all the way. The red USB cable that is used for extra power should be plugged in to get rid of this buzz. If you don’t have the USB ports for this, you can simply turn the brightness down to 60-70.
As always, don’t rely on my review alone because while I’m satisfied with what I got, I may have overlooked or just imply did not notice any flaws that may be important to you.
I’m relatively new to the hobby of digital drawing so by no means an expert. But I love this tablet. The pen feels comfortable in my hand and effortly glides across the screen. I am using it with Sketchbook (free) on my macbook pro (2015).
Unfortunately the default shortcuts for the buttons don’t seem to be consistent with the mapping. There are 8 buttons on the left and a circular twirly thing. Some of them function as stated. The brush size up and down works, the zoom functions just make the laptop do the horrible “DEHN” noise when something isn’t available. The twirly wheel makes my itunes volume go up and down (even though I don’t use itunes). The rest of the buttons function as expected. I’m not sure if this is because of Sketchbook or my mac. You do have to download an app from their website for the computer to map the tablet keys and functions.
The glove is absolutely essential. So don’t lose it.
The resolution is pretty great. It does start to pixelate when you zoom so far in to see nose hairs but you can still work in this mode if you have a fairly steady hand. The tablet follows the pen pretty well. There is no detectable lag.
I do keep accidentally pressing the button on the pen which (in default) brings up an option box or toggles between eraser/pen. Lucky there is an undo button and it could just be the way I hold the pen.
I spent 7 hours drawing on it today and my eyes don’t hurt at all. But you can adjust the brightness up or down to suit yourself with a simple click of a button on the side. It feels like a pretty solid unit without being too heavy. The only downside (and this ia true of most graphics tablets) is it has to be plugged in to a power supply so you can’t just go sit in a park somewhere and draw. And it needs a free HDMI AND USB port on your computer. I will get myself a USB hub so i can have a mouse and keyboard. But with the MacBook you can only use the HDMI port OR the dual thunderbolt ports, so I have to unplug my huge 32 inch monitors to be able to use the device.
Overall, i give this a solid 5 because I am pretty sure the button functionality isn’t the fault of the tablet. I am a pretty happy amateu
Great tablet, pen feels good to hold but rolls in the hand a bit. I accidentally press buttons quite a bit.
Need to calibrate the pen/screen a couple times a day it seems. Screen looks great, get a screen protector though.
I’ve enjoyed the tablet as it is way better than my previous tablets at an affordable price. The only problem I seem to have faced was when I used Krita, the key binds would often switch up on me mid-use, and I’d have to restart everything to fix the problem. I’m unsure if this is a device problem or a software issue as I’ve only come across this problem when I use this tablet with Krita. With my 6-year-old Wacom, I did not face this problem. When I use Metabang, I have yet to come across this issue, but Metabang isn’t my go-to program. Ultimately, this tablet retired my old Wacom and certainly replaced my Ugee because of the quality this tablet possesses. The tablet is lightweight and allows me to rearrange my workspace as needed. I like the design of the cables, but the placement is a little awkward for me. If the connection were on the same side as the keybinds, it would be a lot easier for me to organize my setup to have my laptop and keybinds to be on the same side; this would allow my less dominant hand to easily access keybinds and keyboard while my dominant hand continues to draw. The tablet is comfortable to draw on, and the colors are highly accurate to where it’s hard to notice a difference between monitor and tablet. The stand was a nice add-in, but I had to get a different one to suit my workspace because it only had one angle. I also appreciate the careful consideration of the different outlet adapters as I won’t have to buy a separate adapter for this tablet when I travel.
This is exactly what I needed to get started!
I love that you can change the sensitivity in the UI, I love how responsive the tablet is and the pen, the buttons are a life saver.
As someone trying to make the switch from paper to digital, this is absolutely perfect. My friend even wants to upgrade his drawing tablet to this one when he gets the money.
I personally didn’t like the stand very much, it only has one angle. So you may May have to get a new stand.
The cons here are not bad but worth pointing out
I have 2 little issue.
1 – The driver when using it as external display the tablet works fine. But should your computer go to sleep the pen will map out the Xpen and your monitor as one screen. A simple unplug and plug back fix the issue but it is worth pointing out. I run Windows 10 Os with this tablet.
2- the screen cover will start to show some lines after like 18 months. But you can’t see it unless the screen off and you shine a light on it. It is not visible when you draw. See picture above.
Should this tablet ever die on me, I will order the same unit again. Great job XPen.
I have used my share of graphics tablets, and with every other brand, there has always been a fix for driver mishaps. Even the notorious mess of dysfunction that was intuos 4 random spikes of no pen pressure incidents, there was a failsafe in using tablet preference file utility. No such failsafe with this product.
I bought this for use in sai 1 specifically, as sai 2 is hard to convert brushes into and I didn’t want to spend hours and hours trying to figure out something I can simply open sai 1 for. Well, the tablet won’t work inside sai, and has VERY LIMITING issues navigating around adobe photoshop CC 2018 (all pen pressure related). Every outside fix suggested I tried until realizing it was the drivers all along. Response from the company about the matter of their driver quality taken from their very own website is: use newer programs, like sai 2. Not a great response when other tablets made within the same time frame don’t experience the same issues navigating sai 1 or photoshop. This isn’t going to be the tablet for you if you are expecting multi program versatility. No issues in clip studio paint/sai 2 and that is the only 2 programs that do not seem to be experiencing any driver interaction hiccups.
I’m going to be less drawn out with the good qualities:
It’s an excellent budget screen tablet. I don’t feel like the colours out of the box were that off from my main monitor, barely any adjustments needed to be made for my needs.
Big enough to have the space to get things done without feeling like my wrist was being strained at all.
Responsiveness and pressure were a breeze with very little delay in response.
Doesn’t have a high learning margin, very easy for beginners and veterans to enjoy alike.
If I had to go back and decide again, I would have gone with a competitor instead simply based on very blas replies to driver issues and the shifting blame on to the consumer instead of creating a fully competant product. As it stands, it’s too late for that and I’m trying my best to work around it. Recommended only if you are willing to use recent (within the last 2 years) released programs or recently updated versions of programs.
I bought this for online teaching, allowing me to draw and annotation PowerPoint presentations and it works great. I tried using the Wacom Intuos Graphics Drawing tablet (without a screen) and it just didn’t work out well for me. I need a screen to actually draw on, so I know where I’m drawing and writing. For the price, you can beat the XP-Pen. I picked mine up for $280 on sale on Amazon, which is an amazing deal. Before buying this, I bought the Gaomon 15.6″ Pro, but it had issues right out of the box, so I returned it and got this, and couldn’t be happier. The only downside is the stand. I replaced it with one that is adjustable to multiple levels.
The item is exactly as pictured and works well out the box! I already had a different XP-Pen model so I already had the drivers installed, all I did was plug it in and went from there. The screen resolution was weird at first but that’s because it by default chose to have 150% resolution zoomed in, as opposed to 100%, that can be fixed easy by going into the Windows display settings. The tablet is sturdy and comes with a stand that also feels sturdy!
I am IN LOVE with this product! There is barely any lag while doing strokes, and no parallax. The screen feels hella smooth, the colors look very vivid, and due to having a higher color gamut than my laptop, I can see the variety of colors waaayy better. The express keys make my workflow seamless and are an ease to use. The glove that it includes also feels very good quality, plus the stand is really sturdy. I love that the pen case’s lid that also stores nibs can double as a pen stand.
Now fair warning, if you guys owned a wacom or any other tablet before and still have their drivers, uninstall them or else you will have issues with the xp-pen’s drivers. Also make sure to connect the usb from the display (not the red one, that one is for power) to a direct port in your pc, not external extra usb ports, I found that doing so avoids driver issues. I also contacted customer service to help me along with my now solved driver issues and they replied very fast, so that’s also a huuuge plus.
All in all, this display makes my heart sing. I have been using it in substance painter, photoshop (although I prefer my ipad pro for 2d drawing) and zbrush, they have all been a breeze and a bliss to use with this tablet! It’s definitely a great alternative if you cannot afford a Cintiq. It really barely has anything to envy from Wacom.
I will later on update on durability, so I’ll be back in a few months!
1. When installing the drivers, use the NEW UI DRIVER. I did not have success getting the “classic” driver working, however, recent updates may have alleviated some of the issues.
2. When connecting the cables: the extension cable shipped in the package DOES NOT WORK with the “data” USB connection. It is labeled for use with the power cord, and please do not use it for any other purpose. There is no clear labeling, but the data cable is not compatible with all USB extension cords. I believe you need one rated for a minimum of USB 3.0. Luckily, I had one on hand already and was able to complete the installation after some trial and error.
Once installation is complete, I also recommend optionally running a screen calibration. (On Windows 10, Win-R to open Run, type in control.exe; search for or navigate to Color Management within Control Panel; go to the Advanced tab, and click Calibrate Display and follow the on-screen instructions.) The screen’s color fidelity is on par with my expensive gaming monitors, but the default profile is… a little bit wonky. The calibration just gets it looking a little more like you’d expect before you go off on your art adventures.
I have not tested the tablet with a variety of art programs– I usually perform my art in Krita, and the compatibility there seems just as good as my old Wacom.
This has got to be the best gadget I have ever purchased.

I’ve been looking to upgrade from my 7 year old Bamboo Splash for a long time now and after reading and watching lots of reviews I settled on this one and I’m very glad I did! This was my first time using a screen tablet and I was overjoyed with how simple and sleek it was to set up and use for the first time, compatible with Paint Tool Sai and ClipStudio and easy to configure button shortcuts, I was able to start drawing immediately with no issue. Great colours, brilliant screen size and sturdy, I’d recommend this to anyone looking to upgrade who may not be able to shell out for higher prices of other brands!
Wanted to get some use for a couple of months before giving a review. I think I can confidently say that I made the right choice with this one! This is my first tablet monitor and so far it’s been a very smooth transition from my Wacom Intuos. There was a hiccup in the first week where the pen was having issues with picking up full pressure while just hovering over the screen. I was able to fix this myself however with a little tweaking of the pen parts. Since then it’s been smooth sailing.
I was first drawn to this model because the shortcut keys on the side are almost identical to the Intuos and so my workflow wouldn’t be changed all the much. I’m sad there is no “eraser” on the end of the stylus but the button on the side of it works just as well and might honestly be faster than flipping my pen. I haven’t been able to 100% sync the colors to my main monitor which is an IPS but was able to get it close enough that it’s not drastic.
The pre-installed screen protector has a really nice feel, like right in between being matte and still feeling very smooth to draw on. I’ve been using the same nib the whole time and it barely has any wear on it.
The stand that comes with it is alright but only has one angle which was not steep enough for my needs, I recommend finding one with multiple angles.
I am really impressed with this tablet. The operating and technical side of this I’d say is a 6 out of 10 in tech savvy. I didn’t really have any issues with the drivers or screen setup with my laptop. However. I wouldn’t suggest using an HDMI adapter with an older laptop. You NEED a USB3 I/O and HDMI. Also the setup info included with the tablet is minimal at best. You need to download the PDF manual from XP XPEN’s site when you Download the drivers. Other than that I love it. The size is really good and the quality seems there. I don’t regret this purchase at all
Okay, I did a LOT of research for pen displays because it was all new to me & I didn’t want to waste $$ on an mediocre product or spend too much $$$ and find out, I didn’t like it. Well, I love it. Just the right size, easy to connect to laptop (a little more complicated for me with my computer/monitor), easy to install drivers & get it working. I wanted to use GIMP, but my pen was offset from the curser on the screen. (Tried to troubleshoot. Many ppl have the issue, but others do not. Not a reproducible problem, random.) But I use Krita, which is more beginner friendly anyway! Digital art just upgraded my life!
Love it so far, the screen is sharp with good colour accuracy, and has just the right size with plenty of space to play with without having to zoom in too much on drawings. The wheel is very useful for that. The pen it comes with is fine, I noticed the buttons on it are a little too sensitive for my liking but they do the job and I managed to get just the right pressure curve after some fiddling. When you get this tablet, I do highly recommned that you calibrate your pointer first so that it isn’t slightly off where your pen lands. The unbox eperience of this whole package was pleasant and exciting with lots of things to uncover and all well presented. This tablet also comes with a stand which has made a lot of difference because you don’t want to be bent right over the screen when working for your posture’s sake.
I bought this as my first drawing tablet. It’s working pretty alright, although sometimes with extended display the pointer can be a bit funky but overall nothing major affects me. I created my first digital painting with this, tho not finished yet, still pretty satisfied with the overall result.
A great graphics tablet in every way but one thing. I like the scroll wheel at the side but it would be so much better if they added some grip to the side of the wheel as you need to push on it more than I like to just to get some purchase on it as my fingers seem to just slide along the sides of the wheel.
When you set this up, be careful to enable the right settings! I use Windows Ink to increase my productivity with the stylus (being able to handwrite text inputs, drag scroll regions, etc). Some people recommend disabling this, but I have found it to work well.
IMPORTANT: For me, I was experiencing some heavy and frustrating input lag on the tablet when I had it set up as an extension of my existing screens. When I reverted to “Duplicating” my main screen on the drawing tablet and restarting my computer, the input lag disappeared! There will obviously still be a monitor response time associated with hardware delay, but previously my pen input was messed up severely by this lag. After this change, every minute motion of my pen is captured properly on the screen and it works wonderfully! (Note: I have a 144 hz monitor and have set up my drawing programs and OneNote to behave properly at this refresh rate, so things are very smooth for me).
Overall, wonderful product. It’s a shame it took me this long to figure out the solution to my input lag problem, and that I can’t use this as an additional screen space (without duplicating my main screen) without getting that input lag. Would definitely recommend, especially for the price.
PROS:
– Good screen quality (definition/color) [If you have NVIDIA, be sure to change a setting in the Control panel described at the end of this post to get the screen to look right]
– Excellent pen behavior (pressure sens/screen calibration/tilt sensitivity/feel)
– comes with a drawing glove
– no perceptible input lag (when duplicating monitor)

CONS
– The cable is a bit short, so you are limited with how far away your PC tower/laptop can be from the tablet. Mine in the picture is at its limit without pulling tight (my PC is to the left of my desk on the floor)
– Input lag (at least on my PC) when extending display instead of duplicating
– The stand it comes with is nice, but only tilts ~20 degrees or so, meaning you have to hover over the display to get the best viewing angle. This makes the most sense for most drawing applications, though, so it’s not a huge downside.
**NVIDIA CONTROL PANEL NOTE: In the NVIDIA Control panel, navigate to “Adjust desktop size and position”, click on the “Artisr 15.6 Pro” display, and change “Perform scaling on” from GPU to Display. Before doing this, my screen was a bit blurry, and this helped sharpen it up.
100% recommend this I had the Artist 12 which was great but found the screen a bit small. The Artist 15 is exactly what I need. Amazing value for money. Love the quick keys and dial on the left side. The stand it comes with is great. I’m now creating art faster and easier than ever! The fact it takes more from my laptop makes it more portable as I don’t need another plug.
My daughter (14) has had a lot of practice using Procreate on her ipad, so she’s familiar with art programs. She LOVES this tablet, which is large and sensitive and has a lightly textured surface for drawing. We’ve had it for a few weeks and it’s working great. It’s worth every penny if you have a very artistic kid! She feels like a professional artist now and it’s a huge mental boost to her creativity.
I have an older Macbook Pro that I use to run it, and I was worried that it wouldn’t be powerful enough to support the tablet, but it runs fine. (It is from 2016 and is still running OS Sierra.) I did need to purchase an HDMI to Thunderbolt port adapter to connect the tablet. I wanted to let you know that if you’re getting serious lag issues when you use the tablet, try a new art program! I spent an hour troubleshooting with Apple before trying something other than Corel Painter. I am totally not a technical person so I wanted to put this out there for other Mac users to benefit from! 🙂
One thing this listing doesn’t mention is that with the purchase and registration of the tablet, you get free access to one of two art programs. We chose ArtRage, which is actually very intuitive to use. My older Macbook runs it with zero problems and my daughter picked it up quickly.
I tried a few other pen displays before i settled on this one and i was quite impressed with the build quality and attention to detail in the design, here’s a comprehensive list of pros and cons from my use of the device thus far with a 2021 production unit, there’s a lot to like. 🙂
Pros
– Pen cursor tracking is very good, not perfect but quite usable after calibration. You may notice a bit of drift on the edges of the screen but i’ve seen MUCH WORSE on other brands. I’m quite happy with it for the price.
– Very little parallax, not really noticeable once you get used to the monitor.
– Physical buttons and dial, they feel nice and responsive without the frustration of a touch pad, never liked the touch ring on my old intuos 4.
– The screen is very nice and the colors looked great out of the box, required very little calibration, compared favorably to my VA monitors after setting a color profile to take into account the wider color gamut.
– The USB-C hydra cable is fairly long and easily reaches all the way to my workspace across a pretty massive desk. You can use a USB-C 3.0 Female>Male extension to make it longer though BE CAREFUL what cable you use as it may not fit into the tablet’s port and be rated for a video signal. USB 2.0 cables will not work.
– The drivers are great as of 2021, they allow you to calibrate your display without messing with buttons, you can also set custom shortcut button functions per application.
– The pen is light and comfortable to use, very reminiscent of my old intuos 4. Buttons are easy to press and the pressure tracking works quite well in most applications.
– Pen storage tube is pretty sturdy, would have no issues traveling with it
– Mirroring a 4k monitor as your reference and using the tablet as a visual drawing aid is a good compromise to a more expensive UHD or 4K pen display.
Cons
– Screen protector is not the best feel to draw on, it has some resistance but it’s not as nice as a matte screen protector. You should really clean it out of the box and use the included glove as skin oil will affect your drawing surface texture.
– The pen supports tilt functions but your on screen cursor will not adjust to take into account the change of position of the pen tip like it would with a Wacom tablet. This doesn’t particularly bother me as i rarely use this feature and it doesn’t seem to matter too much once you get the brush going.
– The screen colors can get distorted around the pen tip when you use higher pressure levels, like if you press your finger to an LCD display, i doubt this will cause any damage but it’s a little distracting.
Other thoughts
– The stock stand leaves a lot to be desired, it’s not adjustable and not at an angle i particularly enjoy drawing with, but it’s “free” i can always get something more versatile. By contrast the Huion adjustable metal stand was a lot more useful.
– Do not forget to plug in the red connector cable into a power outlet, the tablet will not have enough power to run correctly and you may get some severe electrical noise from the tablet at higher brightness.
– I wish XP-Pen offered different types of pen nibs, hard felt tips like what Wacom offers would go a long way to adding some resistance when drawing without needing to rely on a matte screen protector.
Update
– There seems to be something odd going on with my unit, after drawing for a while or perhaps by leaving a still image on screen for some time, you can notice some visible line artifacts where the black outlines of a drawing were, it goes away after a while though. i’m not sure if this is an issue with the display or my computer but it can be a little distracting, see attached photo.

I had a hard time choosing which tablet to use for illustration but I guess this one is good enough for people who use tablet for the first time! Wacom tablet might be expensive for new users. I think Xp-pen tablet is a good replacement!

One thing that I don’t like about this tablet is a thin tablet stand that has just one angle. After using it for a while, I have to order another tablet stand that is more sturdy and has more angles. I need a tablet cover too!

Como la3 pantalla estaba conectada al equipo mediante USB, mi tarjeta grfica no lo reconoca, solo reconoca las 2 pantallas conectadas a ella.
SOLUCIN:
-Hay que conectar la 3 pantalla a la tarjeta grfica y no via USB-HDM, as que he comprado este Adaptador HDMI a DVI-D, que me funciono de maravilla, despus de probar varios que no funcionaban:

I bought my first tablet in about 1992. I’ve owned 3 in my life, all frustrating and annoying, non with a display. I decided to give this a whirl now that I’m painting a ton on an ipad with apple pencil and the work flow includes my PC. I was hoping it would be a good move, but had no experience with current tablets. I more or less fell in love with this when I opened the shipping box, seriously, from that point on it was an entirely positive experience. I think I chose well… I bought this size so I could use it on a stand or on my lap or wherever. That plan has gone nicely, but I admit to now wanting to try the larger & higher resolution ones because they must be killer fun.
You can mod this tablet’s pen and display to get a very similar grip and feel as a cintiq.
With a pack of rubber cintiq pen nibs – model ACK20004, cut the bottom trunk in half width (see pic) so it’ll fit within the tip.
Pressure sentivity and tracking both work perfectly and you get extra grip on the screen! No more plastic nibs!
Get this 2 pack matte 15.6 screen protector for additional grip. This plus the rubber nibs really feels exactly like my old cintiq 13hd. But the protector does degrade screen quality with the rainbow effect, so if you’re peeling off the original protector beware.

I bought this tablet due to the considerable value compared to the price of similar products on the market. After using it for Blender and Photoshop for a few months I can say that it works exceptionally well for line-art. My only complaint is that the cable set-up attaches the HDMI cable to 2 other cables, making it awkward for laptop set-up. I would also recommend buying a carrying case if you expect to move it regularly.

I liked the colors on this device. I would have liked two rows of “hot” buttons, ie 16 instead of eight.
I absolutely love my XP Pen tablet. It’s so easy to set up on my computer compared to other drawing tablets I have used. The accuracy of the pen on screen is great and feels very natural for drawing. It’s pricey but you definitely get what you pay for which is a high quality drawing tablet that is easy to use and with a sturdy screen that responds perfectly with the pen. I was not disappointed in the slightest.
I have a traditional art background and I wanted to use one of these to experiment with. The Wacom ones are eye wateringly expensive so read up and these got a lot of good reviews. It is a really nice product, well put together and supports every painting and drawing app I have thrown at it. It has a great range of pressure sensitivity, responds well to your drawing style and gestures, My only gripe is that I didn’t get a bigger one…
Once it’s setup to my computer as a second screen and as a duplicate of the computers screen, I then just launched a drawing program of choice (I used Gimp & Blender which are free to download and use) where it will be duplicated to the XP-Artist screen. The touch pen is then used for drawing. I found accuracy very good. Brightness excellent as is the colour gradients. Would definitely recommend this for anyone considering a graphic artists tablet.
I wanted to upgrade to my first graphic drawing display and I was looking around for one and this seemed to fit the bill! So I ordered it for Cyber Monday, received it, tried it and immediately sent it back. It wouldn’t draw on my main program Clip Studio Paint at all, but it would paint on Krita. It wouldn’t draw a straight line without artifacts though. I spent 4-5 hours looking up troubleshooting guides and forums to fix it.
So I got a replacement from Amazon, thinking it was broken. Turns out when I got the second one…it wasn’t! That’s just how it worked with my programs, so I spent another 1-2 hours looking at forums when I finally figured out it was the settings features for the tablet itself (window ink) and the software (set to wintab) causing issues. After I changed it worked fine! I was in awe of this beautiful piece of hardware, until I actually tried adjusting the pen pressure to my liking. Then the pen pressure stopped working altogether. I rebooted my computer. I restored the settings to default. I looked up more forums and spent another hour looking for a solution. It is now 3 in the morning and I wanted to celebrate finishing one of my finals with this.
“Did you look for support?” Yes, sort of? The online support feature I have tried before, but it doesn’t seem to be functioning? I tried to during the day it didn’t work. I tried their night service it didn’t work. (They have an online service where you can connect to an operator.) The only way to contact them for support is through email.
I am not a very patient person, I buy my thing and I expect to work pretty much out of the box. Some tweaking needed? Sure. I’m cool with that. But the fact of the matter is I don’t know what I AS THE CONSUMER can do to make this work properly! It worked for 5 mins in the 7+ hours I’ve been trying to use it.
EDIT: I have been able to get it working. It was a pen pal situation over email (their online call service doesn’t work regardless of hour it seems). After 10+ hours over the course of several emails it just started working. I didn’t do anything different that I hadn’t tried before and it just worked. I have no problems now. I really, really like it! You do have to press down a little hard to get the pen to pick up but other than that. I don’t regret getting this.
EDIT 2 Electric Boogaloo: I’ve had this for almost a year now, and it is still going strong. It was worth every penny for me and I honestly recommend for anyone wanting a reliable but affordable pen display tablet for art. Also, this was my first time having a scroll wheel, and I’m never going back to a tablet without a scroll wheel if I can.
