I liked it for the challenge it presents to would-be thieves.
Got two to secure a gate and a shed – after several months they’ve booth been fantastic – no signs of wear or any issues occurring.
I use this lock for my locker in the gym. I was looking for a lock that looks sturdy, isn’t easy to cut with small boltcutters and isn’t too easy to pick. This lock satisfies those needs. The shackle is hardened and not so easy accessable due to the plastic casing. I looked up some picking video’s of this model, and it was a bit challenging for experienced pickers. That leads me to think that the average gymthief will have a challenge with this lock. Last but not least this lock stands out of the other locks in the gym and looks robust and sturdy. I hope that’s enough for potential thiefs to leave my locker alone.
For people who want to use this lock outdoors, I don’t think this is the best choice. It’s just a normal padlock with a plastic casing. The only hint it gives for outside use, is that there’s a little hole next to the keyhole so the rainwater can get out.

Had this around a month now. Its gone through wind rain frost and snow, and its stood up well. Will give it an oil every now and again but so far very happy.
Very sturdy, very thick clasp, stronger than the shed door it’s securing!
It’s a secure padlock at a good price. Not sure if the plastic coating makes a difference. It’s essentially a brass padlock with a hardened steel shackle.
It is a well made lock and feels strong and reliable, only point that I didn’t realise when buying it was that the shackle cover is plastic, not sure how much extra benefit it would provide against someone trying to open it with snips.
Maybe there are better locks out there for a similar price but I was tired of comparing them and even finding locks that appear similar that are 3+ times the price of this one.

I used this for a BDSM project and even though its’ heavy, she didn’t’ manage to escape, which is great! Almost lost the keys though. Still, a good lock 🙂
A good chunky padlock. The shorter shank is a strong one. The only downside is there is a little discolouration where it fixes into the lock probably because it hasn’t really been taken off very often. This doesn’t seem to detract the use. It’s a heavy weight and certainly seems well made.
Highly recommended, please ignore the Negative reviews it does have a STRONG Plastic casing unless you’re going to drop it on Hard Ground every time then yes it may? crack.this Yale padlock should last for many years I’ve had many Yale Padlocks in the past ALL VERY GOOD and Reliable.
Sehr schwer und bestimmt auch schwer zu knacken… Bisher hat es noch keiner versucht.
A little smaller then I expected but it does the job.
The lock seems sturdy and the metal sides protect from brute attack with spanners or the like. Weather protection is not clear yet. Sometimes tricky to get to latch fully and needs a couple of goes.
Like this padlock. It looks tough and seems to stand up to the Scottish weather. Good size key; not one of those tiny ones Taft could easily break.
The quality and build looks good although not happy that it can’t handle being waterproof lock as weather proof these sorts of padlocks are normally used outside mine used on garage door locks. I had to imprivise create little shields out soda bottles to cover the padlock so it is kinda rain proof.
A bit bigger than expected, however it’s a very substantial lock. Quite heavy (which isn’t bad in my opinion). Can’t imagine anyone to be able to cut through it.
I will definitely buy more when needed.
Not a hope. I made a good impression on the shackle but not enough to damage the lock. My wife arrived with the keys (which she moved for safekeeping) just as I was about to cut my way in.

Decent lock, easy to get on and off, lets you close the padlock without needing the key inside still which I find quite handy. Recommended!
Otherwise it feels very sturdy, strong and has two keys included.
