It’s featuring a 24-hr timer which allows you to turn it on for a couple of hours during the night. It takes 10-15mins to heat up a room that is good enough as a radiator. The temperature can be adjusted so that the heater will not output much more than enough heat.

A nice looking radiator that is not too big and clumsy, but which provides good heat.
It’s super easy to set and it has an easy to read display at the front as well as a simple remote.
There are 3 settings to choose from and you can time it or set it to a specific target temperature at which point it will switch on and off as required to keep that
It will keep the heat a while afterwards as it is oil heated.
It increases the electricity bill, but it really helps to feel more comfortable in our small living room as autumn and winter sets in.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI couldn’t find anything bad about this heater. When it arrives you need to put the two feet brackets on that just use wing nuts. The wheels use a bolt and roundhead nut. I just used my hand to tighten it as there didn’t seem to be any sort of spanner included.

The remote works fine but requires two AAA batteries which aren’t included.

It’s fairly compact and since it stands up it uses a fairly small footprint relative to the heat it can put out. I think it heats up fairly quickly but as it’s a convection heater it will take a while to heat up a room and you can’t just point it at you as you would a fan heater. You could of course use a separate fan if you wished!

In operation it’s pretty much completely silent but I did hear the odd “tick” here and there. I don’t know if this will happen long term or if it depends on which heat setting you use.

I noticed the lowest setting you can use is 15. It would be nice if this was closer to zero so you could use this to prevent freezing when you’re not in there but I guess you shouldn’t ever leave a heater unattended anyway!

The buttons on the panel are a bit crude but they work fine. Build quality is also fine, nothing special and doesn’t scream quality.

In our house, we normally use the fan heaters for places where the radiators dont work. These are readily available in supermarkets and are very cheap in price but they also flow air and leaves a burnt smell in the air. When I saw this, I thought i should give an oil based radiator a chance as it is supposed to be less noisy and does not leave the burning smell.

When the box arrived from amazon, I was a bit worried as the box was a bit sunk from one side. I immediately opened it and found that the radiator itself was undamaged. I guess the packaging inside is not really full proof to protect against bumps during transportation.

I immediately wanted to test it out and plugged it in. The heater didnt turn it on which had me worried but they I remembered that there is a switch on the side which needs to be turned on. I turned it on and voila, it started working. It was really quite compared to the fan heaters but I could hear a low buzzing noise to show that it has started.

I left it for a few minutes in the living room and it heated up quite quickly. I had to switch it off after around half an hour and the room was quite warm.

I am also really pleased that it came with the remote so that I don’t have to always get up to switch it off and on. It just felt like air-conditioning as I could set it at a comfortable temperature and it would shut off by itself when the temperature was reached.

We have been using it for a few days now and it has been performing well. I am not too worried about my electric bills as it is the same rating as my fan heaters but it heats up the room faster so its a bit more efficient.

    Pros
    Fast heating performance
    Inbuilt temperature control
    Remote is a great addition
Portable so can be easily rolled to another room

    Cons
the wire is a bit short so its better to use an extension

Overall, i am really happy with this radiator and would highly recommend it. 5 stars.

Very quick initial heating up and very easy to use.

Very easy to attach wheels – comes with everything you need to get the radiator fully assembled.

Relatively lightweight and compact in size.

Well made and glossy black finish is stylish.

Remote control has a very good range and is responsive.

The LED screen is clear and large enough to read properly.

The cable is not an long as I had hoped, but this also means that it sits closer to the wall plug and so is safer to use in preventing tripping over.

The wheels roll and swerve smoothly.

Has three settings with 800w being the lowest and 2000w being the highest — I used it mostly on 800w and it’s very effective in warming a 4m x 4m bedroom.

    Reputable brand with sturdy construction.

Overall, an excellent radiator that I would be happy to recommend.

    Heats up very quickly.

This powerful radiator works really well for a room with a size of 20m. I have been using it in my bedroom at night time and honestly it warms up the room really quick. It’s a 2kw radiator, so you should expect a rise in the electricity bills. The good part is that it has three heat settings. I normally run it at 800w, which uses the optimum level of energy. It can also be run at 1.2kw and 2kw. It comes with a digital display and timer. If you turn on this radiator for 1 hour, it keeps the room warm for a long time, unless you open the windows. The radiator itself is sleek and can easily be carried around.

well packaged and easy to assemble (only need to attach the wheels). works like any other oil filled radiator except that it has a built in thermostat and remote control. the remote is great and works as it should. the Thermostat is nice as you won’t end up sweating since it’ll turn itself off when it the room reaches your desired temperature.

This radiator looks great and is simple and elegant. It’s not too bulky and sits unobtrusively in any room. It warms up really fast and does a great job of heating a room. I used it for an hour and my smart meter barely registered it. Will be great when working from home in winter, as its gonna be cheaper than heating the whole house with central heating. It’s quite lightweight too so I can move it from room to room.

I was very pleased to receive this item. We live in a very cold old house which needs extra heaters set up in cold weather and this is so much better than the fan heaters we have.
It is Suitable for room sizes up to 20m And has 2kW heat output and 9 fins. There are 3 heat settings (800W, 1.2kW & 2kW) and a digital display and timer. It has an adjustable thermostat and the power cord Is 1.45m long which is a little short in my opinion as annoyingly our plug points are few and far between so we have had to use an extension with it. It has overheat and tip over protection so I feel safe leaving it on for long periods of time.
It also comes with a handy remote control. Works very well and would buy again.

This is an excellent oil filled heater that is replacing my oil free radiator. Firstly it looks extremely sleek in any room due to its unique colour. This is staying in my grey/black themed living room so blends in perfectly. It is much smaller and compact to my previous heater however i love that it takes up less space. It was packaged very securely and setting up it up was very quick (took about 10 mins) as i just had to screw the legs on.

    Positives
    * Looks great
    * Clear digital heat display and timer
    * Comes with a remote (aaa batteries required but not included)
    * Retains heat even when turned off
    * Automatic cut out function

    Negatives
    * Very short cable so limited as to where you can have it (might need an extension lead)

Overall it is a very good radiator that keeps a smaller room warm. Its looks amazing and its digital features and timer makes it very east to monitor the heat and usage. I love that it is remote controlled so that it can be turned on and controlled regardless of where you are in the room. It has a automatic cut out feature which is great to avoid crazy energy costs in the winter. I would definitely recommend!

    Heats up quick!

Very well-made oil filled radiator from Zanussi. It’s a bit expensive to use it constantly just like the storage heating but it can be a life saver if you don’t have a radiator in your garage or if your boiler gave up the ghost. When I turned it on it took around 10 minutes to reach the temperature. Once my room warmed up, I’ve adjusted the settings to low and the room stayed warm for a couple of hours. It works on 2000W which is a bit higher than the ceramic heater, but I think this is a lot safer to use and also the oil takes longer to cool down so even when I turn it off will still be worm enough for about 30 min to heat the room. An extra safety feature is the auto shut off; it will turn off once it reaches the preferred temperature set on the thermostat. Zanussi added some extra good features to this oil heater like 3 heat settings, timer, digital display but they kept it simple, very user friendly easy to use. It comes with a remote control which is very unusual for an oil filter but actually I really like it, I do not need to wake up from the bed if I want to turn it off.

  41. AleciaHutchins says:

This Zanussi heater is smart, well-made, and sits somewhere between average and above average compared to the variety of other very similarly-designed oil heaters available.

For its size it’s quite lightweight, and basic operation is very straightforward. It heats up quite rapidly and keeps its temperature in a well-behaved fashion. The digital display is extremely clear. Functionally there’s nothing about it that raises any eyebrows, but equally there’s no “ooh that’s a good feature” aspects to comment on either.

As a black heater it’s a bit of a monolith, and could certainly be described as a bit ugly- the combination of mostly black with just a bit of red LCD is oddly Knight Rider-ish, albeit far less exciting- but in the corner of the right room, it blends in alright.

If you want a reliable and effective no-frills heater from an extremely reliable brand- and if specifically you fancy getting one in black- then there’s nothing really to say against this at all.

I decided to time how long it took from turning on, to the fins getting too hot to touch whilst on high heat setting. It took 2 – 3 minutes, 2 minutes for inner fins to feel too hot to touch and 3 minutes for the outer fins. The instructions say 5 – 10 minutes to fully heat and i believe this is accurate, i’d say closer to 5 minutes in our case. I find heat up time important since some oil radiators, especially very old ones seem to take forever which when you’re freezing your cockles off isn’t good. Whilst the fins get very hot, the digital display does not, it feels warm but not hot.

The remote is an excellent addition and whilst it feels and looks pretty basic it does a great job and has good range, With the radiator in standby mode i can turn the radiator on or off ( back to standby ) and i can also easily change the mode, increase or lower the temperture and set the timer from the comfort of our sofa. the remote takes two AAA batteries which are not included.

The wheels were a litte fiddly but easy enough to attach with the clear instructions. The wheels make it easy to manovere without having to lift it. I really love the look of this oil radiator, it’s built well without being too big and bulky and is stylish but most importantly it heats up relatively fast and is simple and easy to use.

I couldn’t want for more from an oil radiator, absolutely love it, the best part is oil radiators are one of the most cost effective ways of heating a room with electric.

Love the look of it, the simplicity in using it and the remote is an excellent addition.

A great oil filled radiator with remote.

An excellent heater with a few minor design niggles. Here are the pros and cons:

    Pros:
    * It heats quickly and is powerful for its compact size
    * It’s lightweight and compact
    * Controls are easy to operate, including via the remote control
    * Display is easy to see (useful if you’re controlling it from other side of room e.g. from bed)
    * Thermostat works effectively

    Cons:
    * Power cable isn’t very long, limiting how far it can be placed from a plug without resorting to an extension lead
    * The one handle at the top of the control panel is very small and not easy to use – and I wouldn’t say my hands are large either
    * The bottom wheel nuts are unusually thin and quite fiddly to grip while you tighten the top nuts

    Excellent heater with design niggles

We got this oil filled radiator to use in our conservatory. It replaced an old style convection electric radiator that wasn’t very pleasant to have on as it would make the room very stuffy very quickly. The first thing I noticed with this unit that as well as heating up incredibly quickly it radiates heat exactly like a normal radiator would do and instead create a warm pleasant atmosphere. I like the timer function as this enables me to put the heater on for say 20 minutes knowing that if I forget the worst thing that will happen is the room will just cool down again with the previous heater if you put it on and forgot about it not only will it use a lot of electricity but you could walk into a stiflingly hot room. The adjustable power levels make it easy to keep the radiator on relatively low and just keep the room topped up with heat. There is no way that this radiator could fall or tape although I did read in instructions that it does have a safety mechanism if that occurs but still it would seem impossible for that to happen unless it was pushed ove

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is smaller than I was expecting, it’s slim profile makes it very easy to move around and it looks really nice. This is replacing an older oil filled radiator. For the price is a good reliable purchase. It says it can heat rooms up to 20m squared however I would only use it for a smaller room as I think it would struggled to get up to temperature in a much larger room. It has 9 fins and it has good heat output once it gets up to temperature. I will use it in the hallway where there is no radiator to take the edge off in the winter. The power is 2kw. My electric is about 17p per kw so when this is on then it is costing me about 34p an hour which seems a lot but once the room hits the right temperature the thermostat will click on and off to keep it at that so it wont be using a full 2kw all the time. You can also change the settings (3 altogether) which means it will use less electric if you don’t need to heat so much.

As it is oil it takes longer to cool down and holds the heat so it’s more efficient that an electric bar heater. The timer is useful as you can get it to heat up and switch off when you are not in the house and the safety protection built in means it won’t over heat. The wheels on it work really well so you can wheel this from room to room, it is heavy so if going upstairs then you may need someone to help carry it up. The cord is about 1.5 meters but I wish it was longer as the socket is in the corner and I wanted the radiator closer to the door. Being black it looks ok and won’t be something that stands out too much. I recommend it if you are after a new oil filled radiator.
