This is a great knife. Cuts thru fresh bread without clumping and slices tomatoes with mushing.
This is a Xmas gift for my son who is a chef. It looks great I’m sure ge will be pleased.
Very pleased with my order. Great quality at a fantastic price.
Nice can not go wrong with this brand
Excellent costumer service
Best knives I’ve ever owned, working on getting a full set as well as a set for my niece. They are so sharp and hold the edge, a joy to use.
This is a very nice knife. It is also a very expensive bread knife. I have a bread knife that cost less than a third of the price of this and it is just as effective (maybe more so as it has a longer blade). So why did I get this? Not sure….but I wanted it and so far (3 months later) I still don’t regret it. I can only fault it on cost – and that is no small consideration but if you can afford it then treat yourself – if you can’t then console yourself that a cheaper knife does the job just as well (although looks a little plainer).
High quality knife with beautiful craftsmanship and materials which will last for a lifetime.
I bought this serrated knife to use for more than just bread. It’s heavier than many bread knives, which makes it perfect for produce with tough exteriors and soft interiors, such as pineapples and winter squash. It also slices crusty bread thin without crushing it. It’s a good size for larger/round loaves and fits easily in my drawer knife holder. The only thing it was too heavy for, and as a consequence crushed, was a round sweet Hawaiian loaf with a very soft crust. It seems to be of good quality, cleans up nicely, and is attractive, too. I recommend this knife as a useful addition to standard kitchen chef, paring, and slicing knives (of which I have a variety).
Beautifully balanced, very comfortable and extemely sharp.
It cuts through a tough crust on freshly baked bread without squishing and surprisingly few crumbs.
I’ve tried a few ‘high end’ knives costing twice as much but this one takes the crown.
I’ll probably invest in some of their other knifes.
Absolutely Gorgeous! So nice to have a knife that doesn’t squish the bread!
This knife actually gave me chill bumps when I opened its box!! Completely lives up to expectations, very well balanced and comfortable in arthritic hands!! I bought it for homemade bread and cakes and it will get its first opportunity today to please me even more. I’ll update this review after I have used it for awhile. Extremely sharp!!
I started baking bread and wanted a knife that would cut without much effort. This knife is great, it’s got a good weight on the handle , good teeth that have lasted now for at least 8 months. The added bonus was the presentation, as I like to keep the packing and re-use it if I can. It’s really easy to wash as the steel is of real good quality and I place it back in the box it arrived in for storage. It’s a beautiful instrument – thank you!
I have owned this knife for two years, and every time I use it, I remind myself to write a review. I bought this knife to use with the sourdough bread I bake, and it has been the perfect knife for slicing this wonderfully crusty, chewy bread. Other knives tear the bread, which is heart-breaking after all the time and effort that goes into baking sourdough bread. It’s a labor of love for me, and this beautiful knife is perfect for the task of cutting even slices. In addition, this knife is well-balanced and therefore easy to hold. One caution: the knife is fairly heavy…a good thing, I think. The beauty of this knife, including the design on the blade, makes it a lovely gift for the bread bakers in your midst. Glad to be able to finally write this review…the manufacturer has made an excellent product, so the least I can do is say so and encourage others seeking a good bread knife to look here too.
I now own six of Zelite’s knives ,need I say more .Excellent produc
” This is a very expensive knife but you get what you pay for, the presentation is excellent, the knife is very well balanced, and it looks the part. however, BEWARE THIS IS A VERY SHARP IMPLEMENT AND IS NOT SUITABLE FOR YOUNGER PEOPLE WITHOUT CLOSE SUPERVISION. I will certainly be buying more Zelite infinity equipment. Thank you “.
The knife is a bit heavy, but that’s just because it’s so solid. It’s beautifully balanced between the blade and the handle, and it’s very comfortable to use. The blade is extremely sharp, and the knife is very effective in cutting any type of bread. No regrets at all.
” Very pleased with this bread knife! Good quality knife. I recommend it. “
Most pleased with my purchase and worth every cent spent on it; an extremely sharp knife so use it with care.
I haven’t researched knife purchases very much, but I know what I like when I get it. Beautiful knife, great balance and heft. We like it so much we will probably get the chef’s knife and utility knife in the near future.
I was worried about spending so much on a bread knife – but now I know what I paid for! It cuts so cleanly through home made crusty bread. I assume it will last for life.
I recently decided to upgrade my knife set for work and searched around for a quality set to purchase. Zelite don’t do a set of knives as far as I can tell so I had to order them individually…no great hardship. These are superb knives, well made, sturdy, nicely packaged and beautifully balanced; and incredibly sharp, requiring very little honing to keep them that way. I’ve had a selection of these knives for nearly a month now and couldn’t be more pleased with them…they’re not the cheapest in the world (nor the most expensive either), but you’re paying for professional quality and I can see no reason why these knives will not last me the rest of my career.

I love this knife! This is the fourth Zelite knife I have purchased (I already own the Chef, Santoku, and Pairing) and every one has been exceptional.
The knife has a comfortable heft to it that I was surprised to find in bread knife. It works quite well with warm and cooled bread and is sturdy enough for denser items, like roast, as well.
This is an outstanding and high-quality bread knife. Sturdy, substantial and rounded handle that feels great when you grip it. Super-sharp blade and elegant design make this a must-have for all cooks, from the casual meal-preparer to the gourmet chef
Anthony Bourdain wrote in Kitchen Confidential that every cook needs a go-to offset serrated knife, so I went in search of the very best. Honestly, for a knife this good, it’s a bargain. Slices through hot bread and soft tomatoes alike without leaving the slightest hint of a depression in the surface, and the Japanese steel promises to make it last the rest of my lifetime. I have another go-to Japanese blade my son brought me from Tokyo, and my only problem now is decided which one to grab!
I’ve recently bought a Yaxell Ran chefs knife. I wanted the same in a bread knife.
However with none available I found the Zelite infinity which is a lot cheaper and does the job perfect
Good produc
This is more than a simple bread knife, it is, in its way, a work of art, quite beautifully crafted. We bake our own bread and now, after a lot of frustration with inferior knives, finally have a knife that I am sure we will enjoy using for many, many years.
I have been slowly assembling a selection of high quality kitchen knives (mostly Japanese, or a least Japanese steel). I was lacking a bread knife, and once you begin wanting to cleanly slice through some of the artisan breads now easily available, it becomes important to have a knife up to the task…I think I’ve found it in the Zelite I just got. First of all, it’s just a beautiful piece of workmanship…right from the really nice, solid packaging to the knife itself, tip-to-end…everything just “reeks” (sorry!) of quality, quality, quality. Even before using it, you can see the robustness of the build quality, the heavy duty blade, its unique shape (overall and the cuting edge itself), and the damascus layering; wow! It’s SHARP…it’s going to “glide” through tough breads, and I’m going to try it on some delicate veggies just for fun…”experiment” a bit. Anyway, it arrived quickly, was at a VERY good price point on Amazon, and I would recommend this knife to anyone needing or looking for that “last addition” to an otherwise pretty complete set of good quality knives…next step will be to purchase a knife “guard” or sleeve to protect the blade when I store it!
Absolutely one of the best knives I have ever owned. This is the real deal; 67 layered blade 33 layers Damascus on each side of single layer ultra hard stainless steel. You will not be disappointed with these knives !!
This bread knife is brilliant.
I’m not a fan of sliced bread. I find it goes stale quickly. Unsliced bread lasts a lot longer and I can slice it to the thickness I want – thick for toast and thin for sandwiches. New bread is no problem to it but you have to let the knife do the work… don’t force it.
I reckon that I could slice the bread that thin you could read a paper thru it… useful when you get a lot of visitors.
These knives are excellent. Very sharp and durable. Can’t wait to finish out the set.
guys I am left handed and have struggled for years to find a knife I can use , this is like slicing through butter , not a loaf of bread , my bread cutting has left more crumbs on the board then what you get to eat, but with this knife every slice is perfection , hubby is right handed and can also use this knife in fact we now squabble as to who is going to cut the bread . although not cheap to buy , if i added up how many knives i had brought over the years , if I had brought this knife to start with , its cheep, i urge you to buy and try, love i
We bake a lot of bread in our home and we needed (kneaded?) a really good knife to slice through the thick & chewy crusts that artisan breads have. I priced the Shui and at $149 it was just too expensive. Took a chance on the Zelite Infinity based on reviews and am very satisfied with the product. The knife is well balanced and the handle is perfectly shaped giving the knife a perfect balance in my hand. And yes – I would recommend this knife to my friends!
These are the sharpest knives you will ever own. Aesthetically pleasing on the eye. Heavy, yet well balanced at the same time. Bought the 8″ chef knife, 6″ utility knife, 4″ paring knife and the 8″ bread knife. The all arrived in nice presentation boxes. As already stated they are razor sharp. Fresh Tiger loaf and the bread knife cut it perfectly as thick or thin as you like with the loaf staying as it was bought – no squashing of the loaf. Absolutely delighted with them. Yes they are not cheap, but then again they don’t slice or chop like a cheap imitation either. Perfection!!!!!!!!!!
A beautiful knife and it cuts very well. Very good for cutting bread.
There’s a lot like about Zelite knives, balance, heft, edge retention, shape but they really have to look at the statement “Visually stunning”. I took this to include their distinctive wavy-patterned multi-layer blades but none of the 6 Zelite knives I own come close to what’s depicted in the image on the product description. The bread knife and the latest addition to my collection, hardly has any lines unless you look at it under bright light. Everything else about the knife is great but slightly disappointed in Zelite’s QA dept.
Thanks to Amazon for introducing me to Zelite knives through their Lightning Deals. Zelite Infinity knives are beyond a doubt the best knives I have ever owned. They cut beautifully, no tugging – just like cutting through butter every time. From turnips to cantaloupes to nice garden ripe tomatoes, Zelite knives are amazing. Arthritic hands need help when challenged with cutting some foods and these knives answer the call. I own several and buy them as gifts for my family. You will be delighted with the weight, sharpness and cutting ability of Zelite products. Thank you, Zelite for manufacturing such a beautiful product.
All of these knives are great! I have purchased several different sizes and styles of this brand and they are all wonderful!
This is a fantastic serrated knife. It’s heavy, extremely well-made, and works like a dream! We received it promptly and in great packaging. I highly recommend!
Very Sharp, Feels nice to work with, A bread knife and more. Very good.
I am not a professional cook, but I do love cooking. Till now I have made do with a long series of “Really good knives!” none of which really suited me. Either they were clumsy, or they didn’t keep an edge, or they just didn’t do the job. I was particularly aggrieved with the bread knives I’ve had. They are all of similar construction, but they just won’t do what I want. Either they can’t go through an artisan crust or they crush the bread as they slice through. UNTIL NOW. From the moment I opened the Zelite Infinity box, I knew I had found my new best friend. This is no Big Box Store knife. This isn’t even a Kitchen Gadget Specialty Store knife that costs twice as much.
This is a real, honest, hefty, does-what-it’s-made-for knife! I’m female, 65, with rather large hands but starting to feel the effects of age. Yet this knife felt like it was part of my hand as I used it. The weight was noticeably more substantial than other knives I have, but it was balanced so beautifully it actually was easier to use than the others, by far. It just sort of slides through the bread with no effort from me. And let me just say, for fun, that something about the squiggly pattern all over the blade (from multiple foldings of the steel) gives me such aesthetic satisfaction!
I am now planning to replace all my knives with products from this manufacturer. The price-point is, I believe, quite reasonable for the quality. Some have complained that this was made in China, but I can only respond that the company must be exercising amazing quality control. Do I like it? You bet!!!
I have bought 5 knives from Zelite, I am very satisfied. Great product!
This knife cuts through our thick-crust bread like it’s butter. The handle’s comfortable and the whole knife feels solid to use, no wobbling in the blade.
Great knife, does just what it is supposed to – cuts home made bread with ease. First class delivery and packaging from Zelite Infinity. Highly recommend.
As expected, received the delivery on time. Very well packaged product.
Couldn’t wait to try it out on the loaf of bread I had baked earlier.
Perfectly balanced knife, comfortable to hold; and my o my ! What a joy to have a proper slice after slice. For all you home bakers, it’s a must have bread knife. Wow!
Fantastic quality, bought the utility knife first- now have another 5 knives in the range. Previously had global knives and these are far superior in my opinion. Highly recommended.
My initial reaction is one of amazement. The quality of the knife has to be seen to be believed. It is so, so sharp, and the overall feel in use is so comfortable. Very highly recommended, and I shall certainly be purchasing further knives in the range.
“Bought two kitchen knives, bread and paring. Both arrived earlier than expected, contained in brilliant box type packaging with magnetic closures. Both knives are extremely well built and perform better than any knives I have ever had.”
