I purchased this wired controller to replace a similar wireless controller I had been using with my PC. Sometimes the wireless controller would lose connection for a few seconds which isn’t ideal when I play a lot of motor racing games.
So far I have been very pleased with this contoller. Build quality seems very good and overall feel of the controller is nice. Also the cable is a good length
Very good controller for the money
It arrived quickly thanks amazon
Works very well
Well built can handle the pace of driving and golf games
Not tryd it with football yet
But I think it could handle that to.
I’m happy anyway .
It works pretty well except some very occasional connection issues which are easily fixed. The material on the joysticks have be worn away a bit after a lot of use. However, for the price, I would definitely recommend this as a budget controller.
Bought to replace my drifting ‘real’ one, this ticks the boxes pretty well.
Decent resolution.
Marginally more comfortable to hold than the old one.
The only (minor) issue I’ve found is that it cuts out after a few minutes when run through an extension, so I’ve had to go back to hot-seating when we’re having a group session, rather than passing it around the room.
Works pretty well feels comfortable and good price I found it can be difficult if you want to control something and make small movements it’s a little jerky and can fail to stop exactly where you want i
If you are a casula gamer, like me. This is more than suitable for all games, just plug and play. Good build quality for the price and worked straight out of the box.
We’ve been using this for several weeks and it’s still great.
I struggle to tell the difference from the original, other than the big centre button doesn’t have an Xbox logo on.
Cable is very long. Brilliant replacement. Game on!!
The controller works exactly as described and I was able to easily set it up with my Xbox 360 and use it comfortably. My only complaint is that the joysticks aren’t as precise as with an official controller, making it slightly harder to aim accurately at long distances in FPS games. For the price I am not that bothered.
This game controller is working absolutely perfectly in both the Xbox 360 and PC. My son prefers it over his wireless Xbox One controller for PC gaming, since Bluetooth can sometimes be hit and miss. We do recommend this controller foot also accept the fact that it has so many reviews and some are negative, meaning some are probably a bit broken. I guess we got lucky then.
Does the job, but the range of movement on the triggers is a little shorter than my previous controller and there’s a noticeable difference in some of the switches with some being quite spongy and others being much more clicky (Left and right shoulder buttons feel very different, as does the click on the 2 sticks) None of this is really a problem but if you plan on spending a lot of time using this you may want to look elsewhere.
For starters, this is a solid controller. It feels like a 360 controller, Windows recognizes it as such, you can even activate the Windows Game Bar by hitting the function key (the big silver bit in the middle). At first, I thought this was actually a perfect controller. However, after a very brief test, I found the right bumper is stiff. And I don’t just mean “Oh, it’s a bit hard to push”, I mean I need to squeeze down on it like I’m trying to crush coal into diamond to make it work. It does activate, yeah, but it’s CRIPPLING to use and renders a bunch of games completely unplayable due to their reliance on it (other games that use it aren’t as difficult to play, provided it’s not something important like “shoot gun”).
Secondly, something I discovered today that slipped my notice in the past: You can’t use BOTH triggers at once. You can use both bumpers at once, two buttons, buttons and directions, trigger and directions, etc etc, but for some reason pressing both triggers at once causes the controller to do a big messy and negate both entirely. I only found this out after I played a second game which needed both to be pressed down to activate a first person mode: once is probably the game I’m playing, but twice is no coincidence. It’s thankfully not a huge deal, hence why the rating isn’t lower, as I can’t think of many times I actually need to use both triggers.
I can’t say this will be the same for all controllers, I mean I’ve not suffered drift or anything else like other people, but these two flaws have spoiled a few too many possible fun times to not mention it. I can live with them due to what I use this controller for, but for others out there it could be a deal breaker.
Edit: Okay, so my rating will stay the same as the bumper button problem shouldn’t have even been a thing, but I have at least found a good bit of advice. By holding down the trigger and blowing into the gap it causes (or using compressed air to do so), it seems to have fixed the issue for the most part (it still glitches out, but now only about 5% of the time rather than 100%). So if anyone has a similar problem, do this and you might get lucky. Just remember, blowing into it yourself may cause the circuit inside to rust in the future like an old game cartridge, so be aware.
Used for a few days now and it is really good.
Comfortable to hold and use.
Quite accurate.
Doesn’t feel cheap, although it is.
Cable is not so long, but I don’t care.
So far I recommend. Now let’s see if it’s going to last long and working well.
Got this for playing through MGS 3, worked like a charm. Then when Elden Ring came out I used it to play that, and about 175 hours later the left trigger started malfunctioning. It started “pressing” the trigger when I wasn’t even touching it, I tested it and it wasn’t any physical feedback causing it to trigger so I’m not sure what was (maybe faulty or broken circuitry?).
I have taken it apart to try and figure out what’s wrong but due to my lack of knowledge abut circuitry I couldn’t diagnose an issue, I then put everything back and it functioned exactly the same.
Seems to have decent longevity, and I didn’t have any issues until recently, so it’s decently worth the money, but I would recommend the warranty, for which I’m regretting not getting.
Very easy to use on a pc with no setup required. Bought to play online with the kids as keyboard controls for racing games are next to useless. Was able to use with no problems. Like other reviews the force feedback was weak and hardly noticed during game sessions. You get what you pay for. If you are a serious gamer get a high quality controller.
I use these for Forza on my gaming laptop and these make the experience so much better than mouse and keyboard. What you get for the price is fantastic.
I wouldn’t recommend these for games like shooters though. They don’t feel as good as a standard Xbox controller for those types of games. I stick with mouse and keyboard for shooters but use this controller for racing games.
This is a good alternative to the genuine controller. The button action is not as fluid, but it’s a quarter of the price. Unless you are a true gamer you will not tell the difference.
Prior to buying this I read some reviews about dead spots on the joysticks. I’ve been using this controller for a few months and agree that there are times where I’ve experienced stuttering or dead spots, particularly on the right stick.
Am I bothered?
Nope.
These are still excellent value for money imo for people who don’t take their gaming too seriously. If you’re serious I could see how it would be annoying.
I don’t notice the difference between this and the official pad. Having previously worked in a video game store I was wary of buying an unknown 3rd party pad but I wanted to have one my kid could use so he wouldn’t break my official ones. I was pleasantly surprised that it actually works well so far. Will be getting another.
After some bad experiences with cheap wireless controllers, I decided to go with this wired one. Can’t complain. This works perfectly. Well done
First off, I did not receive an “invite” in the box to write a positive review as some have mentioned they had (maybe this was changed)’
A point that a lot of people have mentioned is the “dead zones”. There are small dead zones as in the majority of controllers, especially at this price point. I have tried it with several racing games, and it is usable in all of them, including a fast paced F1 game,
I have also played Jedi:Fallen Order with it, however, I do prefer mouse & keyboard with this type of game as I do with 1st person shooters too. If you have a PC, WHY would you use a controller for this type of game anyway?
If you are an avid racing gamer and worry about dead zones, then you should not be looking at budget controllers anyway, get high-end kit instead. I play a lot of FPS games & personally have a very decent keyboard & mouse combo (would not dream of using a controller for these)
So in conclusion, I would recommend this controller due to its “price vs performance”, and do not take too much heed of the nay-sayers telling otherwise.
It is also very comfortable to hold.
If you are unsure, try it, you can always return it if you are not happy.
Enjoy 🙂
Is what it’s supposed to be does what it’s supposed to do. Happy
Really good well made and have found no faults at all. Recommended.
Used for PC, plug in and go. Easy to connect and use.
