Ordered dash cam as a gift, the picture quality is completely 1080p you also have option for 720p if you wanted too also. It’s got instructions included which allows installing the dash cam easy. Night time quality is also excellent overall this dashcam is suitable for anything.

Too many buttons. Setup can be complicated you doing have patience. Once setup it records and I have tested the playback. The night vision is not great, but maybe that is a setting thing. I would probably look for a simpler dashcam not this one.

UPDATE:: After using it for a few months now the camera is constantly slipping off of the mount on the windshield! It is very annoying. The camera quality is still really good and no other issues thusly.
1. It needs a long power cable with a USB-A end. I have to remove my car charger from the power port to plug this in which is inconvenient. If it came with a long USB-A to Mini USB cable it would have plugged right into my charger and integrated into my system seamlessly.
Mine shipped with a long cable that plugs into the cigarette lighter receptacle.
The Picture quality is crisp and used with a class10 card the recording is smooth and not choppy. Camera is holding up well in the Hot Temperatures.
The customer service was quick to respond and deal with any issues I had.
Set it up and forgot about it, small enough to fit behind the rear view mirror.

I bought this to replace a Nextbase camera that died after about 3 years. It was easy to install (compatible with the Nextbase wiring kit). The picture quality is good and it has a nice wide-angle view. The menu is basic and easy to follow. The only slight annoyance is the chime it makes when it powers on, which isn’t a problem until you have the G-sensor recording feature enabled. It’s very sensitive (even set to low) so every time you open/close a door it sets it off. Overall, I can’t fault it for the price I paid and would recommend it.
Good clear picture and quick delivery. Screen Icons and buttons are a bit small and had to refer to the small instructions booklet to find out what these were for but so far all good.
Update:
The free Amazon gift card offer for a good review has been reported to Amazon and being investigated as review manipulation. Also having problems with recording now.

***UPDATE*** After 2 days use the dash cam has decided to fail to power up. I have discovered the car cable is faulty. I have sent a message to the seller and so far had no response. Amazon are no help to replace the cable.
***UPDATE*** seller supplied a new cable and has been working fine. One comment I feel worth adding though, is that the camera works itself loose from its fixing whilst driving, which is very annoying having to continuously re-mount it.
This camera was easy to set up and use. Good quality. Very happy with it all in.
I had this installed so the camera comes on as soon as the engine turns on. It works great the layout of the keys could be better as up and down is one the left and ok is on the right side.
I have marked this down to 4 stars as it does not constantly recording and when you click save it saves the last few mins of record time.
This camera will record for 3 mins then start another recording for 3 minutes which means you evidence could be in 2 sections. Really weird why you would do that. But for the price its an average range dashcam.

Interferes with the radio in the car so that no stations can be picked up. Makes the camera useless unless I want to drive in silence. Have moved the camera to all different positions and same issue occurs.

Prefer a USB to mini USB instead as there what most modern cars use now. Picture quality fades after a while once vehicles get more then 3 car distances away. I believe this is down to the camera being less then 12m in video mode. Other then that has saved myself and others on insurance claims.

First thing that impressed me, was how much is included for the price – full HD camera, 2x mounts (suction cup & sticky pad), car power adaptor & also a USB wire… all for just 40!
It’s simple to use, you just plug the USB end of the power adaptor into the camera, then the bulkier end into your car’s cigarette lighter port, and it will turn on & start recording automatically (your car’s ignition will likely need to be on, in order for the port to be powered).
I then used the sticky mount adaptor (I find these more robust, than suction cup), and pressed it firmly into my windscreen, high up & just to the left of the rear-view mirror, then slotted the camera into the mount.
Some specs on the dash cam’s video recording;
– Resolution = Full HD, 1920 x 1080 p
– Bitrate = around 25,000 kbps
– Audio Bitrate = 256 kbps
All in all, this makes for a clear recording, with good quality pictures.
I’m particularly impressed by how high the audio bitrate is, which makes hearing sounds, voices, etc very clear – past dash cams I’ve owned have had very low bit rates, which resulted in very muffled audio.

The video quality is good, audio is fine. The suction mount works well to hold the camera, but there is also a adhesive mount if you want to go that route.
They advertise it as a 170 view, without measuring it I believe it. The view covers almost from one side of the windshield to the other.
Overall I’m very happy with the camera, and would recommend it as cheap insurance/entertainment.
