    Guter Werkzeugrucksack

This is great except that as a contractor I have to carry around contracts. So, on the the large pockets (6×7 & 6×9) I cut the stitching to make pockets 12×7 and 12×18.

Value for money for its sturdiness.
But there is no space left rather than tools.

I’ve been using this backpack for work. I’m a HVAC technician and have used it for my main tool bag. Probably 40 pounds loaded. Up ladders in attics. Have roped it up and down from roofs. I throw it im the floorboard in the back of the van. Never had a zipper bust or a strap break. I’d buy it again if it breaks though.
UPDATED: Zippers have finally busted just 3 months short of 2 years! The worst thing about that is when the zippers go…the backpack flops open spilling tools everywhere. I started putting to carbiners on the top handles so the weight wouldn’t constantly pull on the zippers. Maybe if that was done sooner it would have lasted longer. I’d buy it again, but I’m going with a smaller one that can’t get so heavy.

This bag has done well enough in its first 3 months of use, no signs of stitching coming loose. It’s got a good array of pockets so I can keep my tools in an organised state while working through my day. When carrying it on my back, for some reason the left strap tends to slip off my shoulder. I’ve tried using the adjoining strap across my chest but that’s a little short for comfort, and as I tend to move quickly from job to job its impractical, so i either carry it one shouldered or hold the left in place. I’ve put a carabina on the top handles. This is because on several occasions the zips haven’t held and the whole lot opens up spilling stuff everywhere. Despite this I do like the bag as it frees up my hands to carry other stuff, and the contents are easy to get to on the fly. I would improve it with better zips or a wrap around strap. Cant argue with the price though, as it’s great value for the money so far.

I have this bag over a year and I have to say I am surprised how good it is. I use it everyday mostly for carrying electrical tools such as drivers ,snips multi-meter and paper work and find it excellent to use with plenty of space and pockets for tools. The straps are strong and comfortable and the chest clip secures the bag nicely. I was using an over the shoulder bag and was cautious to switch to the backpack style but so glad I did. The tool bag is great quality , comfortable to use with plenty of space. I would highly recommend this bag and plan on buying it again.

Spacious for daily tool carrying, can fit combi drill and testers and hand tools not really good room for a hammer but it fits, it’s sturdy and durable. There the good points and there’s a few bad points, the bag is fairly heavy to start with so the more tools you put in it’s going to get heavy, it’s uncomfortable and the straps dig in your shoulders, and it digs in your lower back, the strap tighteners work to a point then they just slip back so it doesn’t sit right when wearing it as a rucksack, but above all it’s heavy. I’ve brought a lighter 2nd one when I don’t need to carry everything

Had daily in the field for 4 months, has held up very well. No rips or tears, and the zippers have held up. I am very pleased with the bag as a whole. It accommodates most any tool I need for service/install, including impact driver and hammer drill. My only gripe is that the way the bag is sized or designed, the hard plastic bottom digs into my back on longer walks. With some strap adjustment I can alleviate this somewhat but never completely be rid of it.

I work as a technician at the airport so I needed something sturdy and big enough that can hold all my tools. Its pretty big and holds most of my tools. I wanted a tool backpack that can hold my tools to free up my hands so I can climb up ladders and go thru crawl spaces. Stands up right so nothing tips over. It is also slim to it still fits in my locker.

Golden Review Award: 18 From Our UsersPRO’s
    Very roomey
very accessible and easier to keep tools tidy and in there place than other tool rucs that i have used and i have used quite a few over the last 20 or so years.
Infact typically i empty the tool sac out at the end of the week to tidy through it and sort the tools out into their correct location. Definitely did this with my old stanley. Had this a while now and I think i have only tidied it up once, shows how easy it is to keep it tidier
Seems to be holding up to the job, i carry a fairly full and heavy load in it
    Great bang for buck value

    CONS
If you don’t quite zip the large inner pouches fully up they can come undone while walking from the van to the job, especially when trying to climb over things or be in weird postures. You can hear the zip starting to unwind and then have to act quickly to stop one of the main pouches opening. Or at least until you get in the habit of fully zipping them closed. (The stanley zip was stiffer so did not do this).
I intend sewing a velcro tab onto the zip this would easily solve the issue
It doesn’t have a solid flat base so it doesn’t sit upright, tends to lean forward for me, however I don’t really find this an issue.
The outside side storage is small and pretty much useless. Yes you could put some small screwdrivers in there, maybe a utility knife but most likely they would fall out. A much bigger side pouch with a velcro fastening cover would be a great improvement here. Something big enough to put say some leak detector fluid in or a manometer or a small tub of screws.
Overall the build quality is not as good as the stanley but its good enough

    ———————————————————————————-
I’m a gas/white goods field service engineer. So I carry a large selection of screwdrivers, torx, spanners, test meters, sockets, oddball tools, electrical crimps, insulation tape, plumbers adjustable spanner, a large 12″ adjustable spanner, fuses, and a couple of tubs of screws, washers, nuts, bolts leak detection fluid, a large rolled up protection sheet.. the list goes on and I get it all in and not quite bursting at the seams.
If i want too, i can also get a decent 18v drill in there but don’t normally carry it, too much weight
Previous to this had a stanley tool rucsac.

The layout is better than the stanley, I didnt like the pull out tool holder in the stanley, it just seemed to get clogged up when i threw stuff in and could never easily see what i had in there. This is much more accessible, easier to keep tidy and much easier to put the tool back into its place.
Just above the outer lower pouch at the back is an expandable pouch, its not really obviousd in the photo, I usae this to hold my meters, megger and multimeter which it does nicely. This is the only toolsac i have used that can store the meters safely on the outside making much easier access to them. I store the meter test leads in one of the outer upper velcro fastened pouches
I use the main rear storage pouch for my goto tools and the other section closer to my back for sundries and oddball tools
I dont use the side storage at all, seems pretty useless to me

My one suggestion for improvement is to add straps or something to keep tools in their pockets. I can’t tell you how many times my backpack has fallen over or been not right side up in my car and everything comes out of the pockets to spill out when you unzip. Sturdy though, and lots of pockets. Comfortable to wear, works well.

I have been looking for a tough pack to hold all my gardening tools while I’m roaming around the property, and this backpack is just perfect for the job. It is very tough, has lots of pockets and dividers for tools of all sizes, and can really take a licking. I have been weeding and cutting back plants due to the rainy weather we’ve had here on the East Coast, and this pack holds all of my stuff, including trash bags I need to put all the cuttings into. I toss this backpack onto the ground and drag it around, and it really takes punishment. Mud and dirt wipes right off and the zips are sturdy.

My husband and I are always going to our car/scrap salvage yard searching for parts, lead and treasures. We have always take a variety of tools with us since we never know what we will need. We would carry everything in a small duffel bag which was cumbersome and hard to carry.

This backpack has surely made things easier for us. The different compartments allows us to organize the tools and even carry our cell phones safely. The padded shoulder pads and backing makes it comfortable to carry. Of course depending on what and how many tools you put in it will make an impact on the weight and comfort level.

I definitely can see it this bag being used for more than just tools. It would be perfect for IT personnel, teachers, crafters, or anyone who wants a nicely size backpack to keep things organized in.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGreat for work, college and/or an airline carry on. Has a solid rubber bottom that resists moister. Sturdy handles. Plenty of pockets. Comfortable, adjustable straps. A really nice resilient material. Don’t have tools? Use it for your blow dryer, makeup bag, brushes etc. Plenty of space in the compartment and plenty of uses for all those deep pockets! I can also see it as a useful horse brush holder in the barn. Can easily hold my separate brushes, hoofpick, leather cleaner, fly spray bottles and even fit my mares halter in there. My laptop also easily fits into this with compartments for phone, pens, etc. As a tool bag, it is awesome for neatly separating hammers, screwdrivers etc.

Keeping one’s tools in a backpack seems odd, at first, but makes more sense after you have used it for a repair job or two. You do not have to keep returning to the tool bench for just the right size screwdriver, for example, as it is already in the backpack.

The backpack itself is very well made with lots and lots of pockets, straps, and other ways to organize your hand tools. I was also able to fit in a power drill and bits, but it is not really big enough to carry multiple power tools. It is, however, a great size for carrying a useful assortment of dozens of hand tools.

  82. SamGilmersfbqta says:

This is a unique and very cleverly designed backpack. It has two main sections, each with approximately 20 pockets of varying sizes. There are small loops along the sides and several wider pockets secured with Velcro across the front. You can carry it as a backpack or with two handle-type straps.

This is designed for tools and is big enough and varied enough in storage to accommodate many different kinds (one side of each main section has small long vertical pockets that could hold various tool handles of different sizes.

We may use it for tools–it would be a convenient organizer. But we’re also thinking of using this as a very well designed backpack for an emergency kit, something we don’t have. The different sections would be easy to separate survival tools, medical emergency supplies, dried food and emergency drinks, plastic ware, mylar blanket, etc. The pockets on the outside could quickly store a tablet, smart phone, chargers, camera, and other things you’d grab in an emergency. I couldn’t figure out what use the two clips on the front were but actually, they’d be good for an umbrella.

This is a very cleverly designed bag and very useful.
