I use this Anker cable in my car – it usually gets quite a lot of punishment (thrown around on the seat/floor, curled up into a circle, stitched out in awkward angles), and its stood up much better than other cables. I always try to use Anker as they always seem to outlive their competitors. Recommended.
I bought this cable for use in the car. It works and appears to be quite sturdy. My previous charger cable was a genuine Apple cable and cost a small fortune. It broke in the usual place. This one cost less than half the price and appears to be much stronger. Time will tell and I will update in due course.
So those white cables finally split and showed their coloured insides and I wanted something robust, technically sound but still reasonably priced- thank you Anker great product and your earbuds and Bluetooth speaker are still serving me well after many years.
Got the 6ft one because I tend to move around with my iPad and my plug socket is quite a bit further than where I’m sitting so it’s ideal for me. Thick, sturdy and i like the colour too. So far, so good.
Honestly, for the last 10 years I’ve not used any other brand of cable. I still have the first Micro USB ones to this day. This is no different, feels good quality and the braiding is a nice touch as always Anker is the best OEM replacement brand without a doubt! Will likely use for the next 10 years aswell

My Anker cable just died and I have worked out it lasted nearly 4 years, which is phenomenal for the price. Suffice to say I’m buying another now to replace it. Braiding is much stronger, so has never unravelled despite it being taken away travelling and coiled up many a time. Also feels nicer to touch. It seems it was just the connector pins that gave up in the end. My boyfriend is always stealing this charger cable because the length means you can plug it in and still use it on the sofa / bed etc.

The cable has fully stopped working after only 6 weeks – just after the return period – for what it is this is poor value for money – I “overpaid” assuming great quality – would not recommend.

I have bought several of these since my first purchase my first purchase which I was very happy with. They are good quality and durable and a decent length. I much prefer the cord covered cables as they don’t break. No complaints either about their charging performance.
At first great, had this charger for about 1 year. To my suprise my iphone started ghosting only when on charge. I looked online and found a few things out. One of the causes is the charging cable. I unpluged my charger from the laptop. Only to find this is true NOT GOOD.
Haven’t used it long enough to know if it is gonna last longer than my previous one’s but I will gladly try it out and update this review once I know. So far so good, it seems to have a good sturdiness to the cable and it’s length is good enough so that it doesn’t get constantly bent or twisted.
My last charging cable twisted and buckled along its full length and snapped at the joint after only a few months use. This charging/data cable appears strong and well made. I’ve used Anker products before and have not been let down either by incompatibility or breakages. This cable is nicely made, corded and feels substantial. It works on my iPad and iPhone, syncs and charges well.
Got it as a main charger as i broke my last one. This one is fairly longer. Has a sturdy soft wire and its true about the charging charges a full battery in like 30 mins or so.
Packed really well, in plastic free packaging. I highly recommend Anker products. Last USB lasted a very long time and their customer service is really good. The usb does the job required to do. Length is great, and the reason I went for this product is the way the cord is wrapped in material that makes it highly durable. Charging time hasn’t changed and love the velcro strap to wrap around cable when not in use.
Daughter has had about 6 cheap no name cables for apple products, most don’t last long. So this time I decided to get a named one and amazing enough it’s still going strong. So don’t waste you money on “cheaper ones” just get an anker one and stop having to replace them all the time. I’ve leaned my lesson.

This is to replace a 3.5 year old Ankher cable. The cable looked fine but I was having trouble charging the iPad and it was so slow, stopping often saying it wasn’t charging. I thought the iPad was at fault, but I decided to buy a new cable and it’s charging perfectly and faster than I remembered for a long time. I guess the old one got damaged inside, it sometimes got abuse from dogs getting caught up in in or people.
Purchased my cable in Nov 20 but had issues by Dec 21. The lightning connector end was not connecting properly. Got in touch with the team at Anker and they were absolutely superb. Very thorough, asked me lots of questions and wanted photographic proof before shipping out a replacement (and rightly so).
Yes, I was disappointed to have had issues after just one year but brilliant product support has left me with a brand new working and effective cable. Thanks Anker team.
Anker cables and adapters are exceptionally good. However, the people who sold this particular item provided incorrect information. The description says the cable is 3.3 feet or 1 meter long. Not half, or I should say it was exactly half that measurement.
Get it correct please. This cable was not 3.3 feet. It was 18 inches.
It works great other than the length
Anker bucks the trend for imported electronic products. They offer well priced, good quality and innovative items. I bought this after an unlabelled product from the same country of origin snapped in my iPhone blocking the charging port. From bitter experience I will not buy goods that do not carry the makers name, and certainly the Anker products I have are robust and reliable. They come at a higher price, but carry a written guarantee, one which I have never has cause to use.
I have not given 5 stars to the features simply as this is a new purchase.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this cable. Not only is it long, but, instead of the usual plastic coating which eventually peels off, it has a corded covering which seems as if it must be more durable. I can’t comment on the actual durability, because I have not had it long, but if it proves to be disappointing I will edit my review to relfect that. It was no more expensive than other charging cords. I use it every day for my i-phone
After being disappointed with a couple of cheap cables and having to send them back for only charging slowly and with the ltghnjng cable one way around the cables I bought on this order we’re a breath of fresh air. They work well, charge reasonably quickly and connect in either orientation. They appear well built and fit nicely. All in all it’s a good illustration of “you get what you pay for”. They aren’t as cheap as some of the no name Far East cables but they are far far better quality. I would recommend these especially for those that travel since the braded cables seem to take the abuse of travelling far better than the standard Apple plastic ones
Impressive length, I have one plugged in at the wall by my sofa and I’m never awkwardly contorting myself to use my phone like you end up doing with some charger cables. Another is plugged in in the bedroom, there’s about 80cm between the plug and the bed due to positioning, and again I can comfortably use my phone in bed while plugged in.
The material is good quality and robust, so it should have a long life. These cables are the best of both worlds, affordable price and long-lasting so you don’t need to constantly replace them!
I bought about 15 of these to charge a set of school iPads. The original leads had ‘walked’. The reviews for these were mixed and I was concerned one or two might not work. However I’m pleased to report that they all worked perfectly out of their boxes and show no signs of deteriorating even in the short time I’ve had them. I am concerned about them as others reported broken ends and th see are being handled regularly by young children. Time will tell if they last I guess but for now I am very pleased and can recommend them.
I’ve never had any issues with Anker products. The battery packs I have are still going strong after so many years.
I bought these because I was having issues with my Chinese made cables taking a long time to charge my sons IPad Pro. They’re fine for phones but for iPads they seemed to take ages. I bought this to make sure it wasn’t an issue with the iPad. I was surprised how much difference the make of the cable makes. Soon as we started using the Anker cable the iPad was charging much faster.
They are slightly more dearer than the other cable but the price is worth it.
This is the best quality cable you can buy for this price point and I would highly recommend it.
If you wanted to spend a little more money then I would also highly recommend the Powerline+ II cables which are also an excellent choice and come with a lifetime worry free guarantee.
For me, the main differences between the ANKER Powerline+ II and Powerline+ III cables are that the Powerline+ II are tested to 30 000 bends and the Powerline+ III are tested to 35 000 bends so are a little more durable and are also smaller in diameter. However the Powerline+ II cables do come with a nice zip pouch whereas the Powerline+ III cables only come in the box.
That said, I would highly recommend ANKERs range of charging cables.

I’ve only had a problem with one of them and the Anker Customer Support Team dealt with it by email much much quicker than I expected. Within a few hours of letting them know of the fault and the serial number a replacement was in the post and it arrived the next day.
I’m very happy. I trust the Anker brand and this is precisely why I usually buy Anker as a substitute for my Apple cables.
Amazon sent me an offer 2 months ago, 5 a cable so I bought 10 as our house eats through Apple lightning cables, especially during the COV19 pandemic as we are all using our devices 24/7. Opened 3, 1 is near failing with constant warnings from the iPad and the Apple charger is getting hot now with this cable.

Needed longer charging cables for iPhone products as provided ones from Apple are too short causing you to sit on the floor next to the power sockets and the annoyance of your children having tantrums because their iPad turned off as they pulled out the wire from the adapter was driving me up the wall.
Now I have 2 not so miserable children as now they can sit on the sofa or bed without pulling the cable out thus making them even more like zombies.

Quality great and look robust. Price reasonable but not cheapest but I know I’m paying for quality.
I have Anker cables, chargers, sockets and power banks. They just work, have a solid construction and good guarantees.
I bought several of these cables, eventually, one in a heavy use environment started to show signs of wear at the cable junction. It had not failed, but I wanted to remove from that position to prevent further wear. As the warranty is great on these, I contacted Anker through their customer services. When it was established which cable it was (I have many similar styles), the replacement was with me within two days.
I didn’t expect to have to fall back on the Guarantee process, however Anker Customer Services and Amazon History provided the response any customer would be pleased to receive. It just adds to the positive experiences I have had with Anker, and why I recommend them to others.

A few reviewers mention getting “device not supported” messages when using this and other non-Apple cables. However I have experienced the same problem with original Apple Lighting cables so I wasn’t put off buying this product. It’s odd that only Apple devices produce such messages. I’ve had many micro USB connected devices and never had “device not supported” messages. A cynic might suggest that it’s a ruse perpetrated by Apple to coerce you into buying their cable at three times the price. Heaven forbid!
This product seems well made with a braided cable and a strengthened connections at each end. The lightning pin fits snuggly in the iPad/iPhone socket. So far it’s working well.
To provide empirical evidence, I have run some tests with a USB volt/amp meter at the charger end and a charger testing App on my iPad. This 1.8 metre Anker cable showed the amps out of the charger barely changed at the iPad. However two different 1 metre Apple original cables showed a 65% loss. I rest my case.
I bought the cable for my iPad and have not had any issues with it whatsoever, it charges well. However, 18 months on, the cable came away from the connecter and although it continued to work, I was concerned of the implications.
I contacted ANKER and explained the issue and supplied photos, they immediately apologised and arranged for a brand new cable to be sent. I received it within two days and have since had follow up emails to ensure I was happy. That is what you call customer service. Well done and thank you ANKER.
I have been using Anker products for years now. I have their cables and their chargers. The quality is solid and the effectiveness, ie. charge speeds are the best, super fast.
I had to drop one star, but I am not sure it’s their fault, but Apple’s. I had a lifetime cable that worked fine, then started only working intermittently, with the usual Apple “not supported” error message. But this is why I only dropped one star, because they replaced it, no quibble and with a friendly attitude and great communications (via email).
They are LIFETIME cables – and the company who seem to genuinely be dedicated to excellence, are happy to honour this (presumably as long as you’re being honest with them too and haven’t accidentally sawn it in half or anything!)

People talk about Anker charging cables like they’re hewn out of spun gold.
But don’t get too excited – they work, like pretty much every other charging cable, and they DO break, like every other charging cable. Expect the ‘this accessory is not supported’ message that you fear. It’s about a 90% success rate after a couple of months.
More chance of it working long term than your cheapo brands – but not perfect.
I’m sure that everyone has had an Apple lightning cable have its outer casing split over time with exposed wiring at the lightening connector end. That’s exactly what happened to mine and one day the cable no longer sent a charge to my iPad mini.
Anker are a known brand so it was easy to go with them. The braided cable won’t suffer the same problems as Apple’s rubber casing and the connection between cable and lighting connector is very sturdy indeed.

I have had many charger leads over the years which have been described as of high quality etc etc and paid top money for them only for them to take ages to arrive and be as durable as a chocolate fireguard!! This item however was despatched quickly, and upon receipt and opening the package, I found the cable has an excellent feel to it and the braiding is definately of high quality. I would certainly rate this alongside any other premium brand out there for sure and I would expect this to last a considerable amount of time. Not a lot else to say except it charges my iPhone and does exactly what I bought it to do!! Excellent value for money product.
I have used these cables from Anker for 2 years or more. I was loving them until after 2 years (very recently (feb 2020), a couple started pinging randomly when being plugged in and a pop up saying not compatible with my phone. This peed me off and i had another read of what other people had said since on the reviews, as i needed to buy others again (so i though)..I read other reviews saying that Anker would help so i emailed them on their website. Well..it amazed me as to how they quickly replied and sent me replacements for both! One from 2 years ago and another from 1 year ago! They are brilliant cables and am astonished as to having replacements sent after that long! My normal iphone chargers were rubbish compared to these! The nylon coating and extra length is the best, they don’t split at the base at all. Anker kept in contact all the time, wanting to check up on how they were doing and were really great! Edit 10/02: Well Anker do stand by their warranty with this product. Contacted Anker via their website and submitted a warranty request. 4 days laters a new cable arrived. Great customer service. Hence I have changed my rating from 2 to 4 stars.
This is my third cable of this type purchased from Anker. Unfortunately this cable has broken after two months use. The contacts on the plug appear to have burnt out.
Shame as my other two cables are still going strong.
I have bought cheaper cables but due to them breaking after a week I thought I would pay more and get an Anker cable. Unfortunately it didn’t work but after contacting Anker support they replaced it and shipped immediately.
The replacement arrived and is sturdy, the cable is very good quality and you can tell it will stand the test of time.
I shouldn’t have gone anywhere else for a cable as I have several Anker Power banks, mini Bluetooth speakers and also Souncore headphones.

I buy these leads time and again. I’ve never had one break or stop working. I have them in car, by sofa, teenagers rooms, everywhere. I would definitely recommend and this is my “trusted brand”. Bought this as changed phone and fed up of kids borrowing my charger. I will go back to android agsin soon and i have Anker chargers for that too.
It is worth the extra couple of quid rather than buy a cheap charger as these chargers last. In the past i have bought more expensive chargers from apple shop that have broken! These are EXCELLENT VALUE for money and very good quality chargers. They don’t disappoint!
I bought this product to replace an iPhone 8 charger and also because I wanted something a little longer that would give me a little bit more leeway when my phone was on charge. This works brilliantly. As with all anker products The build and quality is exceptional, especially around the joints where the charger is plugged in and unplugged from the iPhone itself. This cable does not tangle and is absolutely perfect for my needs. If I were going to give this item one criticism, it would be that, unlike the USB cables which are similar, it does not have a permanent velcro cable tie to enable me to shorten my cable for those times when I don’t need all the length. I believe it did come with one, but because it was not affixed to the cable, it got lost. If they would just add this item, I would give this cable five stars.
Firstly, I really like Anker products on the whole and their customer service have always been helpful if queries have arisen.
With regard to this lightning cable, it seems sturdy enough the only issue I have is that although it charges both my iPad and iPhone I have to remove the back from my protective case when wanting to charge the iPhone, this is something I don’t have to do with the Apple cable, so the part that goes into the phone is either slightly smaller than the genuine charger, or the outer casing which holds this in place is thicker and therefore it does not charge the phone without case being removed. It’s a pain to keep removing the case each time I want to charge the phone and for this reason I’ve knocked down the 5* rating on the product. However, when the case is removed it charges perfectly and no issues with charging the iPad in its case.
I can’t comment on longevity at the moment because I’ve only had the cable a few days.
There are no doubt some negative reviews on here about the Anker iPhone charger, and I’m not belittling their experience of this product at all but I have been buying Anker products for a while- from charging cables to powerbanks. Despite that, this isn’t a biased review of this cable at all.
I bought this cable as a friend’s iPhone’s previous cable wouldn’t adequately charge their phone. I would pop their phone on charge at 16% and after an hour would find it at 21%.
After buying this product, the same phone went from 21% to 74% in an hour. Therefore it did the trick and there are no signs that the cable will stop working any time soon. But see later about this comment.
As mentioned, my experience with Anker has been stellar and they’re a well known and respected company. You can be rest assured that in 90% of the time you’re buying a fully functioning product.

A cable is a cable – right? Not this cable. This is pure quality. When I work in coffee shops on my laptop, sometimes their wifi fails, so I need to use my iPhone for the connection, that’s fine but it rapidly depletes the battery, using this cable I charge the iPhone while using it’s connection. Previously I had an unreliable cable, that was also unsightly; thin and short. I felt self conscious getting it out in coffee shops. The original apple chargers are 19 but theses are so much better and cheaper.
First of all I have been using this for more than I year now, every day and I call tell you that there is NO scratches and NO of signs of wear. The normal apple chargers last me 3-4 months but these anker ones are SO DURABLE!!!
Also they come packaged so nicely and professionally.
Overall I definitely recommend 100% because these are the best chargers ever.

I have bought many anker cables and found them to be durable and reliable – so much so that I recommend them to anyone who expresses they’re looking.
But I bought this cable twice over the space of a month. One stopped working almost immediately which I just didn’t worry about as everything is normally so good. But now the second one has stopped working. They were bought in December and Januart so have lasted a couple of months maximum. It’s just so odd that they are both this particular one as I have some other anker shorter, white plastic type that are still going strong .
This is not what I have come to expect of anker and now I’m hoping it doesn’t happen to other people after I’ve recommended them – making me look foolish!
I believe I’m outside of the window to return them so I guess I just swallow this bitter pill and consider trying another brand that is also mfi certified.
My iPhone charge kept breaking so had to buy a new one. I had previously bought this one but in pink and the older version. However that sadly broke due to me dropping my phone with the charger in it resulting in the chip breaking off the wire and getting stuck in my iPhone. This new and improved Anker wire however has been a godsend. Initially I thought it was too long but it’s been so good as I can extend the wire from the plug and use it in longer distances rather than the standard 3ft. It charges really quick. Due to the way they’ve coated the wire it’s efficiency is kept leaving a good value for money product. A must buy charger!
Great product, durable and looks cool! However the KEY reason for 5* review is the LIFETIME warranty. Too often Anker CS just go about dealing great CS. Received my replacement cable today and works first time (so unfortunately does mean the old one had failed- think maybe my device wore out the contacts) . BUT knowing anker is there to support me means I have never bought another cable brand since and recommend you to ALL my family and friends. NO QUIBBLE replacement- just sent a pic and the serial number. Done in 5 mins and a new cable 2 days later. I am really impressed with Anker products. As well as these cables, I have a wireless iPhone charging pad, Bluetooth earphones and an iPhone car holder. Got the 6ft one because I tend to move around with my iPad and my plug socket is quite a bit further than where I’m sitting so it’s ideal for me. Thick, sturdy and i like the colour too. So far, so good.
Honestly, for the last 10 years I’ve not used any other brand of cable. I still have the first Micro USB ones to this day. This is no different, feels good quality and the braiding is a nice touch as always Anker is the best OEM replacement brand without a doubt! Will likely use for the next 10 years aswell

This is by far the best charger lead I’ve ever had. I’ve had quite a few of the original Apple lead’s which after a time, split at the connection point then stop working altogether. I’ve had this one for more than a year now and it shows no signs of wear. Would definitely recommend!

The cable has fully stopped working after only 6 weeks – just after the return period – for what it is this is poor value for money – I “overpaid” assuming great quality – would not recommend.
This is the 2nd one of these chargers that I’ve bought. Always sturdy & reliable. Lasts longer than the conventional iPhone charging wires.
I am amazed at how long this cable has lasted. Featured in the pictures is the cable that I bought 2 years ago and has only just stopped working after 2 years worth of heavy usage! The cable itself was still fine and actually lasted so long that the contacts on the connector wore away. I have bought several of these since my first purchase my first purchase which I was very happy with. They are good quality and durable and a decent length. I much prefer the cord covered cables as they don’t break. No complaints either about their charging performance.
At first great, had this charger for about 1 year. To my suprise my iphone started ghosting only when on charge. I looked online and found a few things out. One of the causes is the charging cable. I unpluged my charger from the laptop. Only to find this is true NOT GOOD.
Haven’t used it long enough to know if it is gonna last longer than my previous one’s but I will gladly try it out and update this review once I know. So far so good, it seems to have a good sturdiness to the cable and it’s length is good enough so that it doesn’t get constantly bent or twisted.
My last charging cable twisted and buckled along its full length and snapped at the joint after only a few months use. This charging/data cable appears strong and well made. I’ve used Anker products before and have not been let down either by incompatibility or breakages. I have the same confidence in this item and should have bought one of these at the outset but chose to go for a ‘deal’ on a cheaper plastic coated cable. My mistake! I’ve ended up paying twice.
This cable is nicely made, corded and feels substantial. It works on my iPad and iPhone, syncs and charges well.
Got it as a main charger as i broke my last one. This one is fairly longer. Has a sturdy soft wire and its true about the charging charges a full battery in like 30 mins or so.
Packed really well, in plastic free packaging. I highly recommend Anker products. Last USB lasted a very long time and their customer service is really good. The usb does the job required to do. Length is great, and the reason I went for this product is the way the cord is wrapped in material that makes it highly durable. Charging time hasn’t changed and love the velcro strap to wrap around cable when not in use.
Daughter has had about 6 cheap no name cables for apple products, most don’t last long. So this time I decided to get a named one and amazing enough it’s still going strong. So don’t waste you money on “cheaper ones” just get an anker one and stop having to replace them all the time. I’ve leaned my lesson.
Cable works as it should, is really long and upto now has out lasted all the other cables I have bought.
It will last longer than the original apple cables, as has a nice nylon cover.
Unlike the original wires, it won’t twist. The attaching to the device and the computer looks solid and sturdy.
I am sure the existence of gateways to other dimensions can be found somewhere in my house!
It is the only explanation left as to why my USB and iphone cables seem to disappear with alarming regularity!

This is to replace a 3.5 year old Ankher cable. The cable looked fine but I was having trouble charging the iPad and it was so slow, stopping often saying it wasn’t charging. I thought the iPad was at fault, but I decided to buy a new cable and it’s charging perfectly and faster than I remembered for a long time. I guess the old one got damaged inside, it sometimes got abuse from dogs getting caught up in in or people.
Purchased my cable in Nov 20 but had issues by Dec 21. The lightning connector end was not connecting properly. Got in touch with the team at Anker and they were absolutely superb. Very thorough, asked me lots of questions and wanted photographic proof before shipping out a replacement (and rightly so).
Yes, I was disappointed to have had issues after just one year but brilliant product support has left me with a brand new working and effective cable. Thanks Anker team.
Anker cables and adapters are exceptionally good. However, the people who sold this particular item provided incorrect information. The description says the cable is 3.3 feet or 1 meter long. Not half, or I should say it was exactly half that measurement.
Get it correct please. This cable was not 3.3 feet. It was 18 inches.
It works great other than the length
Anker bucks the trend for imported electronic products. They offer well priced, good quality and innovative items. I bought this after an unlabelled product from the same country of origin snapped in my iPhone blocking the charging port. From bitter experience I will not buy goods that do not carry the makers name, and certainly the Anker products I have are robust and reliable. They come at a higher price, but carry a written guarantee, one which I have never has cause to use.
I have not given 5 stars to the features simply as this is a new purchase.
I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this cable. Not only is it long, but, instead of the usual plastic coating which eventually peels off, it has a corded covering which seems as if it must be more durable. I can’t comment on the actual durability, because I have not had it long, but if it proves to be disappointing I will edit my review to relfect that. It was no more expensive than other charging cords. I use it every day for my i-phone
After being disappointed with a couple of cheap cables and having to send them back for only charging slowly and with the ltghnjng cable one way around the cables I bought on this order we’re a breath of fresh air. They work well, charge reasonably quickly and connect in either orientation. They appear well built and fit nicely. All in all it’s a good illustration of “you get what you pay for”. They aren’t as cheap as some of the no name Far East cables but they are far far better quality. I would recommend these especially for those that travel since the braded cables seem to take the abuse of travelling far better than the standard Apple plastic ones
Impressive length, I have one plugged in at the wall by my sofa and I’m never awkwardly contorting myself to use my phone like you end up doing with some charger cables. Another is plugged in in the bedroom, there’s about 80cm between the plug and the bed due to positioning, and again I can comfortably use my phone in bed while plugged in.
The material is good quality and robust, so it should have a long life. These cables are the best of both worlds, affordable price and long-lasting so you don’t need to constantly replace them!
I bought about 15 of these to charge a set of school iPads. The original leads had ‘walked’. The reviews for these were mixed and I was concerned one or two might not work. However I’m pleased to report that they all worked perfectly out of their boxes and show no signs of deteriorating even in the short time I’ve had them. I am concerned about them as others reported broken ends and th see are being handled regularly by young children. Time will tell if they last I guess but for now I am very pleased and can recommend them.
I’ve never had any issues with Anker products. The battery packs I have are still going strong after so many years.
I bought these because I was having issues with my Chinese made cables taking a long time to charge my sons IPad Pro. They’re fine for phones but for iPads they seemed to take ages. I bought this to make sure it wasn’t an issue with the iPad. I was surprised how much difference the make of the cable makes. Soon as we started using the Anker cable the iPad was charging much faster.
They are slightly more dearer than the other cable but the price is worth it.
This is the best quality cable you can buy for this price point and I would highly recommend it.
If you wanted to spend a little more money then I would also highly recommend the Powerline+ II cables which are also an excellent choice and come with a lifetime worry free guarantee.
For me, the main differences between the ANKER Powerline+ II and Powerline+ III cables are that the Powerline+ II are tested to 30 000 bends and the Powerline+ III are tested to 35 000 bends so are a little more durable and are also smaller in diameter. However the Powerline+ II cables do come with a nice zip pouch whereas the Powerline+ III cables only come in the box.
That said, I would highly recommend ANKERs range of charging cables.

I’ve only had a problem with one of them and the Anker Customer Support Team dealt with it by email much much quicker than I expected. Within a few hours of letting them know of the fault and the serial number a replacement was in the post and it arrived the next day.
I’m very happy. I trust the Anker brand and this is precisely why I usually buy Anker as a substitute for my Apple cables.
Amazon sent me an offer 2 months ago, 5 a cable so I bought 10 as our house eats through Apple lightning cables, especially during the COV19 pandemic as we are all using our devices 24/7. Opened 3, 1 is near failing with constant warnings from the iPad and the Apple charger is getting hot now with this cable.
I’ve paid as much as 40 for a special cable from the Apple store and as low as 99p from a 1 shop, the latter die within a few days; they all ultimately fail for devices that gets plugged in/out a lot or stay on charge when you use it within 2-3 months; the cable I use for my wireless charger for my phone has lasted over 2 years…

Needed longer charging cables for iPhone products as provided ones from Apple are too short causing you to sit on the floor next to the power sockets and the annoyance of your children having tantrums because their iPad turned off as they pulled out the wire from the adapter was driving me up the wall.
Now I have 2 not so miserable children as now they can sit on the sofa or bed without pulling the cable out thus making them even more like zombies.

Quality great and look robust. Price reasonable but not cheapest but I know I’m paying for quality.
I have Anker cables, chargers, sockets and power banks. They just work, have a solid construction and good guarantees.
I bought several of these cables, eventually, one in a heavy use environment started to show signs of wear at the cable junction. It had not failed, but I wanted to remove from that position to prevent further wear. As the warranty is great on these, I contacted Anker through their customer services. When it was established which cable it was (I have many similar styles), the replacement was with me within two days.
I didn’t expect to have to fall back on the Guarantee process, however Anker Customer Services and Amazon History provided the response any customer would be pleased to receive. It just adds to the positive experiences I have had with Anker, and why I recommend them to others.

This product seems well made with a braided cable and a strengthened connections at each end. The lightning pin fits snuggly in the iPad/iPhone socket. So far it’s working well.
To provide empirical evidence, I have run some tests with a USB volt/amp meter at the charger end and a charger testing App on my iPad. This 1.8 metre Anker cable showed the amps out of the charger barely changed at the iPad. However two different 1 metre Apple original cables showed a 65% loss. I rest my case.
I bought the cable for my iPad and have not had any issues with it whatsoever, it charges well. However, 18 months on, the cable came away from the connecter and although it continued to work, I was concerned of the implications.
I contacted ANKER and explained the issue and supplied photos, they immediately apologised and arranged for a brand new cable to be sent. I received it within two days and have since had follow up emails to ensure I was happy. That is what you call customer service. Well done and thank you ANKER.
I had to drop one star, but I am not sure it’s their fault, but Apple’s. I had a lifetime cable that worked fine, then started only working intermittently, with the usual Apple “not supported” error message. But this is why I only dropped one star, because they replaced it, no quibble and with a friendly attitude and great communications (via email).
They are LIFETIME cables – and the company who seem to genuinely be dedicated to excellence, are happy to honour this (presumably as long as you’re being honest with them too and haven’t accidentally sawn it in half or anything!)
They are a genuine brand and genuinely happy to help.
I have had Apple products, including iPhones for ages – currently on an iPhone 8 and I will always use Anker products and have given them glowing reviews before.

But don’t get too excited – they work, like pretty much every other charging cable, and they DO break, like every other charging cable. Expect the ‘this accessory is not supported’ message that you fear. It’s about a 90% success rate after a couple of months.
More chance of it working long term than your cheapo brands – but not perfect.
I’m sure that everyone has had an Apple lightning cable have its outer casing split over time with exposed wiring at the lightening connector end. That’s exactly what happened to mine and one day the cable no longer sent a charge to my iPad mini.
Anker are a known brand so it was easy to go with them. The braided cable won’t suffer the same problems as Apple’s rubber casing and the connection between cable and lighting connector is very sturdy indeed.
I’ve had the cable several months now and it’s been holding up perfectly.

I have had many charger leads over the years which have been described as of high quality etc etc and paid top money for them only for them to take ages to arrive and be as durable as a chocolate fireguard!! This item however was despatched quickly, and upon receipt and opening the package, I found the cable has an excellent feel to it and the braiding is definately of high quality. I would certainly rate this alongside any other premium brand out there for sure and I would expect this to last a considerable amount of time. Not a lot else to say except it charges my iPhone and does exactly what I bought it to do!! Excellent value for money product.
This is my third cable of this type purchased from Anker. Unfortunately this cable has broken after two months use. The contacts on the plug appear to have burnt out.
Shame as my other two cables are still going strong.
I have bought cheaper cables but due to them breaking after a week I thought I would pay more and get an Anker cable. Unfortunately it didn’t work but after contacting Anker support they replaced it and shipped immediately.
The replacement arrived and is sturdy, the cable is very good quality and you can tell it will stand the test of time.
I shouldn’t have gone anywhere else for a cable as I have several Anker Power banks, mini Bluetooth speakers and also Souncore headphones.

I buy these leads time and again. I’ve never had one break or stop working. I have them in car, by sofa, teenagers rooms, everywhere. I would definitely recommend and this is my “trusted brand”. Bought this as changed phone and fed up of kids borrowing my charger. I will go back to android agsin soon and i have Anker chargers for that too.
It is worth the extra couple of quid rather than buy a cheap charger as these chargers last. In the past i have bought more expensive chargers from apple shop that have broken! These are EXCELLENT VALUE for money and very good quality chargers. They don’t disappoint!
I bought this product to replace an iPhone 8 charger and also because I wanted something a little longer that would give me a little bit more leeway when my phone was on charge. This works brilliantly. As with all anker products The build and quality is exceptional, especially around the joints where the charger is plugged in and unplugged from the iPhone itself. This cable does not tangle and is absolutely perfect for my needs. If I were going to give this item one criticism, it would be that, unlike the USB cables which are similar, it does not have a permanent velcro cable tie to enable me to shorten my cable for those times when I don’t need all the length. I believe it did come with one, but because it was not affixed to the cable, it got lost. If they would just add this item, I would give this cable five stars.
Firstly, I really like Anker products on the whole and their customer service have always been helpful if queries have arisen.
With regard to this lightning cable, it seems sturdy enough the only issue I have is that although it charges both my iPad and iPhone I have to remove the back from my protective case when wanting to charge the iPhone, this is something I don’t have to do with the Apple cable, so the part that goes into the phone is either slightly smaller than the genuine charger, or the outer casing which holds this in place is thicker and therefore it does not charge the phone without case being removed. It’s a pain to keep removing the case each time I want to charge the phone and for this reason I’ve knocked down the 5* rating on the product. However, when the case is removed it charges perfectly and no issues with charging the iPad in its case.
I can’t comment on longevity at the moment because I’ve only had the cable a few days.

I bought this cable as a friend’s iPhone’s previous cable wouldn’t adequately charge their phone. I would pop their phone on charge at 16% and after an hour would find it at 21%.
After buying this product, the same phone went from 21% to 74% in an hour. Therefore it did the trick and there are no signs that the cable will stop working any time soon. But see later about this comment.
As mentioned, my experience with Anker has been stellar and they’re a well known and respected company. You can be rest assured that in 90% of the time you’re buying a fully functioning product.

A cable is a cable – right? Not this cable. This is pure quality. When I work in coffee shops on my laptop, sometimes their wifi fails, so I need to use my iPhone for the connection, that’s fine but it rapidly depletes the battery, using this cable I charge the iPhone while using it’s connection. Previously I had an unreliable cable, that was also unsightly; thin and short. I felt self conscious getting it out in coffee shops. The original apple chargers are 19 but theses are so much better and cheaper.
First of all I have been using this for more than I year now, every day and I call tell you that there is NO scratches and NO of signs of wear. The normal apple chargers last me 3-4 months but these anker ones are SO DURABLE!!!
Also they come packaged so nicely and professionally.
Overall I definitely recommend 100% because these are the best chargers ever.

The charge rate doesn’t drop. Even on the longer 2-3m cables I have bought from them..
They do also have lifetime warranty on some of there cables. Which is what I used to replace one in the past..

I have bought many anker cables and found them to be durable and reliable – so much so that I recommend them to anyone who expresses they’re looking.
But I bought this cable twice over the space of a month. One stopped working almost immediately which I just didn’t worry about as everything is normally so good. But now the second one has stopped working. They were bought in December and Januart so have lasted a couple of months maximum. It’s just so odd that they are both this particular one as I have some other anker shorter, white plastic type that are still going strong .
This is not what I have come to expect of anker and now I’m hoping it doesn’t happen to other people after I’ve recommended them – making me look foolish!
I believe I’m outside of the window to return them so I guess I just swallow this bitter pill and consider trying another brand that is also mfi certified.
My iPhone charge kept breaking so had to buy a new one. I had previously bought this one but in pink and the older version. However that sadly broke due to me dropping my phone with the charger in it resulting in the chip breaking off the wire and getting stuck in my iPhone. This new and improved Anker wire however has been a godsend. Initially I thought it was too long but it’s been so good as I can extend the wire from the plug and use it in longer distances rather than the standard 3ft. It charges really quick. Due to the way they’ve coated the wire it’s efficiency is kept leaving a good value for money product. A must buy charger!
