The notification alarms are a bit of a pain to set up the wind sets them off… And it doesn’t have a WiFi connection that would be nice you need to hardwire or get a WiFi bridge / dongle..
Impressive night vision and a very quiet hdd however, it has an annoying flash g light so is a pain as its in the bedroom.

Very happy with this system very good clear cameras, very easy to install at a price anyone can afford.
Well after buying igeek rechargeable cameras which were not bad but when they detected motion they switched on but they took around 4 seconds to record which was annoying as you would miss people walking up the drive.. So all 4 cameras are in the garden filming wide life.. So I ummed and arhhed and read reviews and opted for these. I was originally thinking of having the recording until downstairs as was worried about noise such as bleeping and noisy hard drive, but as I had a hole in the wall in our bedroom from a previous sky installation I used that .. I did have to make the hole bigger as the more cameras you have( 4 so far) the tighter the hole was getting every cable that went through as the cables have 2 connections on each camera (video and power). I got all 4 through just!.. Please to say the hard drive was soundless, the only time it makes a beep is when you use the mouse if you do something wrong.. (as far as I know) but once all set up you can adjust sensitivity on motion detection ect.. We have ours set up 24 hrs a day recording and I must say we’ll worth it you can review every camera on your mobile phone or on TV.. It has taken a few weeks tweecking to how sensitive and positioning of the cameras but would 100% recommend.. I have wondered though to make it easier to feed the cables through a smaller hole in the wall if you could cut the cables and then rejoin them? Would it affect the quality of the video?
I thought I’d wait to review this once I had it for a while. Bought early 2016 and been operating since. We had not attempted remote internet view before this week (Aug 2021). It took about 30minutes to set up remote access (adding password and username for our Virgin hub, downloading the app onto tablet and two Android mobiles, plus pc android ’emulator’ to use on pc. (Bluestacks for anyone interested). Clearly the App setup and use is much easier and functional than 2016 (with same kit). For example, early reviews point to lack of zoom. Aint so on remote.
The main story here is that the kit lasts. Most reviewers have covered adequately the good and less good points (quality is not top drawer, car numbers – not really at distance, better modern cameras, non wireless cameras) but the price and advantages – esp. with the modern remote App, email alert, etc, continue to make this a bargain. Extremely good value and anyone buying 2nd hand need not fear.
Can view cameras on i-phone or other portable device from anywhere or live feed on TV – instant playback available – great product at even great price – bought the one that records so data can be viewed, downloaded, as evidence if anything happens.

My partner and I found this system easy to install and setup. Nice quality of picture. Pretty much plug and play with everthing. Found it eally easy to set up on our android devices too.
The night vision can be a little dark in places but it works well for the distance we need.
I recommend getting longer cables as one was a couple of metres short from reaching the camera at the back of our house.
The motion detection can be a little over sensitive, although better to have it than not.
Over all it is pretty good quality for the price.
We had a limited budget and needed a decent system to moitor our home. We went by the reviews on amazon for the Annke make and we am not disappointed.
I defnitely recommend this sytem if you are on a limited budget and need to get some security fast.
I bought one of these 7 years ago and it has been working fine, but I decided to upgrade finally and take advantage of the larger disks and higher quality compression video standards used now. The new software is excellent, especially the phone app. As I had the same CCTV system the cables plugged in easily, same power supply too. Great value system, cameras are great plus you get long cables included. It’s a bargain really!
I bought a wireless cctv system and long story short it was rubbish. Packed it back up, sent it back and bought this wired system. I am very happy with this product and would definitely recommend. It was 50 cheaper than the wireless system. I would say that although the cameras are made of plastic this doesn’t affect the picture quality. They just dont feel as sturdy as the metal cameras I originally had up.
I got this to replace an old Swann system which was very difficult to use and had very poor night vision., I was able to use the existing cables which saved a lot of time and effort. The day vision is very clear, the night vision is acceptable and very good close to the camera. The user interface is also very good, it took me a while to get it to work on my home computer network and I still haven’t managed to get it working on my smartphone. All in all a very good system.
Picture quality is top notch and I have bought two additional cameras to expand my system. Best of all is that the cost is only half of that paid for the system it replaces. Highly recommended!
The resolution of the video is incredibly good and overall the entire system was pretty painless to set up (after crawling around the attic running cables)
Word of warning – make sure that you’re using the correct cable for the HDD unit – I couldn’t get the HDD to mount but it turned out that I had the power cables the wrong way round, using the camera power lead to power the HDD unit. Once I swapped them around it worked perfectly. Clearly user error 🙂
Instructions could be clearer on how to set up cameras ie motion only. Took a few hours to get this right. Otherwise easy to install. Disappointed that amazon reduced the price by 20 the day after we ordered i
Came well packed easy to install cams for a diy person, took 2 days weather permitting easy to connect to dvr. configuration easy enough following prompts. Picture quality good day and night, motion detection very responsive, very easy to add and use the app to view camera footage, overall very good kit for the price
Easy to set up compared to my previous system. Picture quality seems to be good so far. Only been set up for a day.
I have upgraded to this system, and it’s a huge improvement with HD recordings, motion sensor works, and easy to alter where to have the sensor, to stop false activations, quality of the cameras they give a good image, but plastic outer shell that looks and feels cheap, cables supplied are thick and good quality, I even ordered extra cables to replace my old ones, they improved the image greatly. Phone app is good easy to hook up and you can even playback recorded footage through it, instead on faffing around with the DVR, still getting to know all the features, very happy, recommended purchase.
A all round great CCTV system. I have not had any issues at all and the remote monitoring works a treat. Picture is clear for both Day and Night Capture. Easy to set up. For the price I feel you can not go wrong..

My Swann CCTV packed up so I went for Annke. Camera’s are really small but the picture is fantastic and really wide angled, so they cover a much larger area than my previous one’s. The app is so much better than the Swann app. Would definitely recommend.

* Quirky, hard-to-use interface; inadequate documentation. Some features don’t work.
* Exported files will not play on a PC: you need a special Annke player. Useless as evidence for Police, etc.
Had this system a few years now and for the price, you really can’t complain! Of course it’s not going to be of ‘Ring’ quality but 4 cameras for 170 is a good price! Mobile app is a little tricky to get configured but works perfectly fine once you get it setup. All in all, I would recommend this product for the price.
After weeks of deliberating and reading through all the options, reviews and questions I decided to take the plunge. I cannot believe how simple it is to connect up and get it running. It is simply plug and play from a system point of view. I connected it all up on the dining room table first and used an old pc monitor to set up and check all worked ok. The challenging bit was planning the location for the dvr, cable routing and camera positions. I decided to locate the dvr in the loft space and feed cables through the back of soffits where possible and through cavity walls as a last resort. I had to spur off an electrical feed from the bedroom below to give a socket outlet in the loft which worked well to also plug in a network power plug for the iPhone app to work. Overall very impressed with the features and options especially the email notification showing stills of the motion detection. Annke Vision is the easiest App to set up and use on iPhones and iPads to view live feed and playback motion detection. I cannot recommend this system highly enough. I will keep on playing and update you later.
The footage is very good on these cameras, the night vision is rather good also. My only downfall to this is that it doesnt have wifi and needs an ethernet cable to link to our phones. One of the four cables did break whilst installing, however the seller replaced this for no additional cost and was very speedy with sorting the issue- despite the order being placed months ago.
All round good entry level system leads can be a bit awkward to run through walls as large Connections but found a converter to use cat5 cable with makes it a lot simple
I installed this security system on the relevant corners of my house and it is all covered. The system works very well and the recordings can be searched and played back up to 30 days later. It has never failed and has been in place well over a year now.
Excellent value for money too, I had someone try to sell me an upgrade and their prices were just ridiculous.
I would definitely recommend this and intend to buy more myself as we have had an extension built.
I have recently purchased this, set it all up in lounge to make sure it was all working before installing, had a few technical issues getting it to work on the iPhone app, however emailed tech support @ Annke. Within a couple of emails this was resolved! A special thank you to Tim at Annke for your time.
As for the quality of the kit, it is robust and all cameras are easy to install. Cable length for the BNC/Power connectors are very long so no issues there. Quality of picture on remote iPhone isn’t too great, but clear on TV which is connected via HDMI.
Night vision is good. I haven’t set up motion detection yet.
So far so good.
This was a replacement for and older unit from a different manufacturer. Overall it works well and the remote access is especially useful. Recent had a display problem but it was solved very easily with the help of the Annke online suppo
Great kit for general home security. I have had this in use for over two years without issues.
Don’t put your cameras high up away from the target area as the playback can be grainy if you need close ups.
The main box gets hot so I would suggest sitting on a laptop cooler. Maybe a built in fan would be an idea?
Reasonably easy to set up motion email alerts, but worth checking online for instructions/how to.
Great support from Annke agents, Annke view and Annke Nova apps for your phone to keep a view while your out.
Overall a great bit of kit.
My problem was with vandals. Since this system has been installed I have had no more problems! It’s brilliant. I’d buy it again! Great picture, easy to use, not expensive to run. I’m using 4 cameras but can run 8. Peace of mind at last.
Had some issue with the cameras, however Annke happy to replace the cameras and I am hoping to receive the replacement next week, thank you
This is a very good CCTV system for the price. I found it very easy to install and the quality of the CCTV images in HD is very good including at night. The recording and playback work well using the Annke View App on my IPad and IPhone.
The only negative point is I found the instruction manual which came with the kit difficult to follow and a simpler booklet is needed with the basic information for setting up and adjusting the DVR. Annke Customer Service are quite good at resolving problems and usually reply to any queries I have had with advice, by return e mail allowing for the time change between their and my location.
Love how easy these cameras are to install and setup. The pictures are very clear and quality is better than I expected. Originally purchased for extra security around the house but the added bonus is watching wildlife coming into my garden during the hours of darkness.
The units don’t appears to consume too much electricity
I use the app on my phone while I am out which does the job nicely.
Hi the only thing that stops me giving 5 across the board is that I find the software confusing, despite this I have it up and running. As for the teck support I asked a question still not had an answer.

Fitting the system was pretty straightforward however connecting to it was a whole different matter. After a frustrating day of numerous attempts to connect my phone, I read on a forum to connect a monitor and set it up there. It was so easy then. IF YOU BUY ONE, USE A TV MONITOR TO SET IT UP or you waste hours pointlessly messing about. You also CAN NOT use a laptop as a monitor. As I found out. With a TV, it’s really quite straightforward to set it up along with your mobile device. The system itself is great for the money

I download the Annke Vision App (I was recommended this from a friend, rather than Annke View) and have it running on my Samsung phone and my laptop. It has an easy to use interface. I also have the pictures available on my Samsung smart TV.

Easy to install (once we found the BT Ethernet extension hub). Great picture quality. Sadly one of the cameras was cracked on arrival but we’ve installed anyway as we couldn’t face returning the whole lot and needed the system up and running asap. Fairly easy to work once you find your way around the icons etc.
