Easy to use, and I did not find the smell unpleasant though I did make sure area was well ventilated.
I have stopped seeing brown moths around house so think it must be working. Bottle size means I can go around all my rooms and treat the edge of carpets at least once.
At first it seems a bit expensive, but it’s a big bottle and you use very little when it’s on mist spray. It works very quickly when sprayed directly on moths and because it’s based on a flower, smells quite nice too. Would definitely recommend.
I definitely had some success with the spray (for 2 different types of moth), which killed off some moths. Not sure about the hanging Cassettes, but I have left them up.
If you ave found moths in your wardrobe, I recommend these. You need to check for moths every few days, and change the ‘tablets’ in the hangers to keep them working.
Brilliant! So much better than moth balls! And the bottle is large so good value for money. Now I can just go around and spray the corners of the wardrobes every now and again. Highly recommend.
This is basically made for moths as if used on other insect may not be as effective as you expect it but if use on moths, it kills them with immediate effect.
This is does the expected job and I am pleased with the package aswell.
I keep finding moths in my lounge and especially on my washing rack lately so thought I’d give this a go.
The bottle is an impressive 1L in size so will last a long time.
There’s a gentle fragrance to it which is nice.
It’s safe to use around pets.
Easy to spray and doesn’t stain fabric and carpet.
I’ve noticed slight decrease in moths so this works over time.
This moth killing spray is very useful as I have quite a few small grey moths in my home. I use this on my curtains and net curtains. It doesn’t stain and provides long lasting protection from moths. I have really noticed a decline in their numbers in my home recently, although I do think that almost 13 is quite a steep price to pay for getting rid of moths.
This is a really effective spray to be used directly on moth infestations. Ever since experiencing a moth infestation years ago where moths ate the carpet underneath my sofa, I have been incredibly worried about moths and have invested in a lot of preventative products, including lavender and cedar items, to ward off clothes moths.
This spray is idea when you have a problem and need a topical solution for moths. I found a small patch of carpet with some moths, sprayed the area and repeated again after two weeks and the moths have died and/or moved on. The spray is water based so dries relatively quickly and doesn’t mark or stain the carpet. The spray is easy to use and has a pleasant aroma.
This is essential if you have recurring issues with moths, it will certainly make your carpets and fabrics less appealing and, hopefully, save your clothes!
Easy to apply. Bigger container than I expected. I am using this more to prevent, so I can’t be 100% sure of its effectiveness, but it appears to be working well.
With us being in the depths off winter at the moment I haven’t had the oppotunity to use this spray as of yet but as we get lots of moths flying about during the summer this will come in handy especially we’ve recently made the switch to LED lights throughout the house which are brighter than our ancient bulb fittings so I’m expecting more visitation from moths during the late warm evenings.
The scent is quite strong so you’d think this stuff would work, but after a couple of weeks the smell appears to be greatly reduced.
Animal’s sense of smell is greater than human’s, so I’d believe it is still working though especially as since spraying around I’ve not seen one moth.
Unlike some of the other reviewers, I don’t think it has a bad smell, it is certainly fine for a wardrobe etc. I would however recommend you wash your hands after using it.
Clearly it keeps the moths away from nibbling wholes in my clothes that’s fantastic and leaves the room or cupboard, wardrobe with a pleasant scent. Would recommend.
So I’ve sprayed this in areas where it was needed the pesky moths like a bit of wool carpet that’s for sure.
It doesn’t have much of an aroma to it then again I’m not a moth. So not sure how it works with them
A big spray bottle that you don’t need to dilute it’s ready to use right away. Best to make sure no damaged areas though before using it. I did a patch behind long curtains to make sure no colour change in carpet as a one colour one.
Are there any moths back eating the carpet and laying their horrid egg things? At the moment no but maybe just the wrong time of year for them to be doing just so.
Does it work? In all honesty I can’t say for sure until later in the year and any more nibbles on the carpet.
For now though haven’t seen any fly around and land on carpet but may be time of year for that not to happen anyway. I’d get this if on offer then if not much luck wouldn’t be disappointed can be used on other insects and bugs too though so any spiders out there you have been warned.
Downside I suppose is the fact I can’t blame moths for eating clothes and needing a new wardrobe if it does indeed work when sprayed in wardrobes.
Saying four stars right now until a few months pass then will look at it again I think
Good value product, although I haven’t had time to assess just how good it is on moths, which is what I really need it for. Important point – this product is designed to be sprayed on to hard surfaces, the clothes themselves. So far so good.
During the warmer months I always get an average of 10 moths a week around the house and even if it if far from an infestation I have never understood where these are coming from. Currently I can not judge the product to solve that issue but I have already tested it on more year round creepy crawly and surely works well.
I have also sprayed a thin layer on the mattress and let it fully dry before making the bed to create a shield from any possible nasties lurking there.
So far I really like the product, it is fairly priced and appear to be very effective. Shame it is apparently so harmful to the aquatic environment but I assume it is the nature of the beas
We had a problem with carpet moth a few years ago so every year when we spring clean we spray the carpets as we move furniture and beds around for access to the skirting board areas. We have not used this moth killer spray by AVIRO before so I will return to this review later in the year when we can tell how effective it has been, but for now this seems to be a powerful water-based formula that is made in the UK to professional standards. This formula is said to work against a range of other insects including bed bugs, fleas, carpet beetles and silverfish, as well as moths, while meeting the relevant safety standards. We have used it on various types of carpet to make sure there were no adverse effects and all good so far — we are not over bothered by creepy-crawlies at this time of year so are unable to comment on the overall effectiveness of the product until later. At around twelve pounds for a one litre spray this AVIRO product is half the price of our usual moth spray so if it proves to be as effective we shall continue to use it — a tentative five stars for quality and value for now.
We had issues with moths this summer, particularly in the living room carpet. So this spray will be ideal if the problem occurs again this year. It’s a decent sized bottle with the spray nozzle able to be set in two ways. We’ve tested it out in our green living room carpet and no issues with discolouring the carpet. Hopefully this will help us in the warmer weather if the moths return again!
First off I really do not like killing anything (not even moths) so for me prevention is better than cure. I had a moth or moths in my wardrobe because when I put my wool jumper on there were two lovely little holes in the sleeve. I sent for this and invested in some moth proof cashmere storage bags from Amazon and then took everything out of the wardrobe and sprayed it thoroughly.
My cashmere are now in moth proof bags and all my woolens have been checked and sprayed. This seems highly effective and I have had no recurrence of the dreaded little fiends. I recommend and still have half left of this spray but will redo and rebuy as needed.
It says its for bed bugs as well as keeping moths off your cloths but you can’t spray directly on them so I dont see how effective it can be though its ok to spray directly on carpets so giving that a god to see what happens as I have lost a lot of clothing through moth attacks in the pas
Out of all anti-moth products I find the sprays to be the most effective. I spray all wardrobe walls and doors.
I would be very careful using on clothes as some fabric may disagree with it.
I just do few sprays on the outside of the wardrobe and let it fall onto the top of the clothes lightly.
The fragrance is not like a perfume but it is not unpleasant.
In addition of working for moths it also keeps bed bags, fleas, ants and wasps.
Product is toxic to aquatic life.
The bottle contains 1 l – that will last at least a year for whole household.
I’ve tried this out and it sprays well.
I’ve treated an area of carpet with it and it was easy to use.
I can’t tell if it has killed/ prevented moths yet.
It does seem a good idea though.
Excellent product, got rid of all visible spiders almost immediately and even continued to work for weeks because I found several dead ones which must have come out of hiding and it still managed to kill them weeks later, great for older people as unused rooms just get taken over with spiders which go and hide as soon as a hoover approaches, you can spray behind furniture, radiators, under beds etc, no hiding place, also around outside of windows, jet has 2 positions, spray and stream, press trigger hard for best effect. I first bought the single bottle then later bought twin packs as much better value, also no noticeable smell etc.
No other product worked for me. I tried this stuff and spiders now all gone. worked great for me, saves me a lot of work and stress.
Easy to use, follow instruction.I was unaware of any scent which I found positive, personal preference .

Waiting for few days to kill moth Looking it worked

Excellent product, worked very well at getting rid of a moth infestation.
It was a great thing to buy old cottages, with moths, should all be equipped with it!
Easy to apply and haven’t seen a moth since using the spray and hangers together.

Expensive but 1 litre and will last
Good packaging and spray nozzle.
Clearing warnings and instructions – hard to confuse with other products.
Non staining – tested fine!
Very easy to use.

This bottle of Moth Killer was much bigger than I was expecting, so should be good for treating quite an area.
Our dining room carpet has be ruined by moths, hopefully this will stop them spreading.
Time will tell if it is effective.
