XENYX Q1202USBThe compact Q1202USB mixer allows you to effortlessly achieve premium- quality sound, thanks to its 4 onboard studio-grade XENYX Mic Preamps and ultra-musical âBritishâ channel EQs. And our easy-to-use âone-knobâ compressors provide total dynamic control for the ultimate in punch and clarity, while respecting all the power and emotion you pack into every note. Add to this, the sweet forgiveness of our British-style EQs and and +48 V Phantom Power for use with studio- grade condenser microphones â and the Q1202USB becomes an incredibly versatile mixer for your live performances. But the XENYX Q1202USB isnât just designed to handle your live gigs; it also provides the state-of-the-art tools you need to make stunning, professional-quality recordings. Along with its built-in USB/audio interface, the Q1202USB mixer comes with all the recording and editing software needed to turn your computer system into your own personal high-performance home recording studio. | Sonically Superior Mic PreampsThe XENYX Q1202USB gets its name from our legendary, high headroom XENYX mic preamps, which have been praised by audio engineers all over the world. These state-of-the-art mic pres represent a major step in the evolution of audio technology â and they can easily hold their own, even when compared to the most expensive stand-alone mic preamps. XENYX preamps offer a staggering 130 dB of dynamic range, with a bandwidth that extends from below 10 Hz to well above 200 kHz. Armed with these outstanding mic preamps, the XENYX Q1202USB provides such transparent, crystal- clear performance you just might think someone upgraded your mics while you werenât looking. | One-Knob CompressionAsk professional sound engineers what their favorite piece of external processing gear is and the majority response will be virtually unanimous â dynamic compression. What is compression? Weâre glad you asked. Compression essentially limits the dynamic range of a signal, lowering the level of loud sounds and turning up softer sounds, to achieve sonic balance. But applying compression is a delicate art that many novice, and even intermediate, sound techs find challenging. Our âone-knobâ compression is available on all mono channels and is easy to operate, even for entry-level users. With this one knob, you can easily dial in the perfect amount of compression for instruments and vocals, creating powerful mixes with punch and clarity. This is indeed a rare feature for products in this class â but standard on the XENYX Q1202USB mixer. | Sublimely Musical British EQThe British consoles of the 1960s and â70s changed the sound of rock and roll â without them the British Invasion might not have happened. Those legendary mixing desks soon became the envy of engineers and producers all over the world. The channel EQ on our XENYX Q1202USB is based on that very same circuitry, allowing you to imbue signals with incredible warmth and detailed musical character. Even when applied generously, these equalizers exhibit sweet forgiveness and superb audio quality. |

Great for the price. Lasts about three years before it needs to be replaced.
Entry level mixer. Should imagine this would be 1st class for podcasts and such. As a musician, its ideal for a budget studio.
A good little mixer , 4 stereo 4 mono XLR , with 100 onboard effects , I got wrong list in the manual , so can’t identify the names , but on unit itself 00-39 is reverbs, 40-59 delays ,60-73 mod (modulation presumably )
74-79 pitch , ( squeaky alien voices, robots etc.) 80-99 multi , flangers , etc.
No complaints , phantom power on/off .
I did wonder if that would affect keyboards & stuff in other channels , where I don’t need it , but I learned that it doesn’t , Only the condensers that require it will recognise it .
clever stuff ,
I’m learning everyday & very happy with this mixer .
well made , good price .
The mixer itself is fine, no real surprises. The DAC is unexpectly weak but does the job. Mixer is decently built. Power-plug is among the most stupid things in the universe, it’s impossible to plug it in right until you’ve tried at least four times. Power-supply is a black hole of awfulness, it hums and vibrates excessively. Can only return the whole unit with everything, not just the PSU so everything sucks. Behringer owes me a new PSU in my opinion.
So in essence it’s a decent product that’s completely sabotaged by braindead cheap garbage powersupply.
It works wonderfully! The audio is amazing! The output of my mic is even better especially being able to control the highs, mids, and lows.
The only problem is there is a constant buzzing coming from the USB. I thought it was the cord, great, I already had another USB cord like it. Switched it out. Same thing.
Thought it was my computer. Took it to my laptop, same thing.
It only goes away if there is constant audio coming out through the USB. Music, youtube, whatever. It has to interference when recording or even live streaming. So thats a good thing! But 4 stars because of the buzzing issue.
Best investment I ever made thanks to you the youtubers
Pros:
0. Great preamp sound
1. Includes compression
2. Very quiet
3. Works to spec
Cons:
1. No power button
2. Effects sends but no effect in – you have to dedicate a channel to that
3. Spacing of controls is tight.
4. The 4 stereo line in pairs are in a row, left to right, but the level and balance/pan for them are a 2×2 grid — very unintuitive.
Fantastic mixer I have tried several mixers including more expensive ones. This is the one that came out tops for me. I use it for radio broadcasts. It’s a truly great mixer, well pleased. BUT only one big drawback, there is no on/off switch. A big mistake in the design stage.
I can’t say anything bad about this product, which is why my review is like it is. But, it should be noted by the manufacturer that this is NOT for DJ use.
This is a great little mixer. I’m taking away one star because the power wire connects to the mixer with a connector like an old PS2 mouse connector. It isn’t a very tight connector and easily comes out if you move the mixer while plugging and unplugging stuff. Also, this thing has no power switch so you have to plug and unplug this crappy connector every time you use it. I anticipate that the power wire connector will fail long before the mixer… I was really considering one star because the power wire connector is just that bad. On my way to see if I can still return this thing…
great mixer for starting with , easy to use . great price .
Super Gert!
Keine Treiber o. ntig. Tut, was es soll.
Sweet sound, easy to use and a great price .. Oh yes, don’t believe what people say about Behringer products, the quality is good!
Had the non usb version and used it for ten years as a family band.
Worked great and still does.
Upgraded to this for my office podcast. Only difference is it connects with USB and it has compression knobs for the 4 mics. It helps give rich tones to the voice.
My only complaint ever was about this unit and the older version is No power button. But you can’t do that easily as the power supply has a power transformer literally a half brick size. New one is even slighly larger and weighs it to. So it will be heating up.
Always plug into the mixer first and power second as you can short the mixer if you don’t. I’ve sent sparks before by trying to plug the live wire into the back of the mixer.
It is a very versatile little beast.
So the only problem is that it has only one output for a head set. Other than that it’s great, very easy to use.
Absolutely amazing for its price, I did owed Yamaha mixers and some mackie ones but this is really nice sturdy mixer and with compression on 4 channels! Love it, also it looks nice. Have to say that after decade and some I did take plunge and bought another behringer product but boy they definitely stepped up in quality ten fold! Now I got their synths and behringer keeps impressing me in every way!
Great little recording mixer, small form factor makes it easy to bring on travels!
I bought this to be able to jam with my friends in my apartment at school while all listening through headphones (I bought a mini headphone amp that connected to the PHONES out on this mixer.) It works great! With 12 inputs, it’s enough for multiple instruments and microphones. I am not an audio engineer or some professional recordist, but I really like the quality of it, and let’s be real, if you’re shopping in this price range, you probably couldn’t notice the difference in sound between this and one many times more expensive. The other reviews are true when they say it wobbles in place a BIT (it’s really barely noticeable), but that’s an easy fix, and it doesn’t matter a whole lot in the grand scheme of things since this is about what you’re hearing.
I get it, you want to save some money since you don’t have an infinite budget and you’re not a professional who’s getting this on a company card. This is definitely the best option (in my opinion). After using it, I feel like I have no complaints about it, and it gets the job done. I’m sure the bit rate or something is lower than some higher end devices, but for getting this around 110 bucks, I really won’t be upgrading any time soon, unless my music makes it big enough to call for it…. if only :’)
It also has an interface built in so you can record your jam or whatever straight to the computer so that’s cool!
already using Q802USB, this one is bug brother with more of the same.
Easy to use, no unwanted noises or effects
recommended
Loved that it was so easy to use, the input for speakers was different than what I’m used to so I had to buy different leads (jack to xlr instead of xlr to xlr) but other than that brilliant 🙂
This is a brilliant unit. Easy to use. Great effects. And a USB port!!
Love the product, especially for the price. Takes some messing around with the knobs if you’re not super familiar with boards like me but it was easy to figure out.
This review has been a long time coming. However, I wanted to put this mixer to use a few times before giving a review. I’m no audiophile, by any means. But I have to say that this mixer is a great product for a low price. The podcast I started involves several individuals (shameless plug: check out “A Night Out With Microphones” on Spotify, Souncloud and iTunes) and I needed to be able to control volumes, equalization and levels of all parties involved. This unit is perfect and I have been so pleased by the ease of use. I would like to note that a big part of my decision to buy this is how simple it was to plug-n-play to my older MacBook Pro. Garage Band recognized it immediately and I was able to get recording in no time. There are a lot of features to this that someone with more experience in audio setup and design could probably share with you. But as a somewhat novice, this is a fantastic entry level to mid level (probably even professional level) entry mixer for podcasting needs with multiple parties.
Does the job, the usb port is pretty much useless for everyone who need to do a mix/minus setup. If you do, just buy the regular one and some bucks.
It’s a good piece of kit with good value for money for beginners. I’m very happy so fa
As a beginner in podcasting and record music as I’m a guitar player on the side this thing works wonders and captures everything I need. I don’t much about mixer nor have I ever purchessed one before but this is a great starter if you just looking to get your feet wet worth the money and it’s not gonna break the bank too. Plugs directly in to my computer and connects immediately no problems so far and I’ve had a total of 4 people on microphones before everything works great highly recommended
Works really well for podcasting. I’m not taking it all over the place so not dealing with the durability of it as it’s stationary. No complaints, easy to set up and use.
An excellent mixer, perfect for recording a podcast with 3 hosts.
My only complaint is that the mixer wobbles a bit when placed on a flat surface
I’m 100% a novice when it comes to channel mixers, but I had no problem setting up and using this mixer. I have had the product for almost a year now and it works great. Its small, but packs a big punch with all the features. We have had great success in using it for our webinars.
So far this is a very versatile device. It will accept sound from nearly anything, except a usb mic.
Great value ,performs as expected, fully satisfied with the product!
After receiving, I realized I purchased the wrong unit but it’s not an issue. I basically plugged this thing up, hooked up the ports I planned on using and this thing is great for someone like me who doing in house music. Only drawback is that there is no on/off power switch for the mixer but it’s not a big deal for me
Haven’t used much, but the mixed sound quality is great.
Very good mixer, able to adjust and work things well on it.
This mixer is a fantastic starting point for a budding musician and has both the portability and feature set to be very useful in a variety of situations.
Be aware, this is a 2-bus mixer, hooking it up you will get stereo in and out, not individual outputs for each channel, this was a known quantity for me and I would be very surprised to see anything other than this at this price point. The DAC is passable, a dedicated audio interface might do better, but honestly I was able to get some very clean pickup from a variety of microphones. I would have liked an EQ on one of the stereo channels but having chosen this model over others which had this, I am happy with it.
Another nice addition would have been an XLR out for the main mix for live audio, but a phono to XLR is easily acquirable. The potentiometers are nice to the touch, time will tell if they last. I will say the pan control was questionable, leaving it turned 70% towards the desired channel resulted in decent separation but any further actually resulted in some heightened cross-talk, something I would have to think twice about when using the unit with live audio. But at any rate for 75 it was phenomenal value and I am continually impressed by the quality of Behringer’s analogue instruments recently.
This is a very, very good buy. But be warned that there is a really high potential for defects out of the box. My first one had a really bad buzzing sound coming from the mixer itself somewhere around where the power adapter enters the mixer. I received a replacement and the new one had a drop of sound from the phones/ctrl room knob between the 8 and 9 o’clock positions. From what I can tell, the service quality of the company is great (as I expected). However, things like that shouldn’t happen. In general though I love, love, love the mixer especially for the price. But I suppose you get what you pay for. But it’s worth the try and if you get a defective one, they seem to be good about getting it fixed for you under the warranty.
Works great. No issues with it what so ever. Gets a little hot at times so I propped it up to improve the airflow (not enough to raise a real concern).
I have no complaints with my new Behringer mixer. The s/n ratio is great. The phantom power is adequate for my mics. The built in FX are good, but should be used minimally. The best deal for the money and functions on this mix console.
I had a Behringer mixer for the last 12 years but the issue was the 3.5mm jack! It caused the audio to be warped and often distorted. Now that I have this model, I can tell the audio quality difference and I love it! I am SO THANKFUL to have found this item!
Great little mixer, all the functions of a bigger unit and to my ears it is great quality of audio.
So far I’m giving this 4/5 stars. I will update as time and use go on.
Positive:
Affordable
USB Interface
Lots or channels for home studio
Heavy duty
Negative:
Included users guide is very vague.
You are going to have to learn this mixer by playing with it a whole lot.
I will update again in a short while.
I bought this Behringer mixer to use for karaoke singing at home. I didn’t want to spend a lot of money and this seemed to fit the bill. My original thinking was that I only needed two mic inputs. As it turns out I now have three mics, so the extra inputs proved useful, although not essential (yet).
I find the performance to be very good. The sound is clean, with no noticeable noise. When first testing I heard a hiss coming out of the main mix, but after investigating, I realized that the hiss was actually from the computer audio out. In fact all of my computers had a noticeable hiss, but only at the highest levels. Interestingly, the microphones, a Shure SM48 and Nady dual UHF-24 wireless were all very clean even with the gain turned up to maximum. Watch out for feedback! I thought the microphones were far enough away from the speakers, but not with surround sound. A horrible squeal came out. I was afraid I had blown my amp and/or speakers, but fortunately not.
It seemed I would not need the four stereo line level inputs since I wasn’t planning on connecting a lot of instruments, but I found that I could connect all of my computers as well as an analog synth into the mixer using a mix of RCA, USB, and line-level inputs. Incidentally, the digital I/O eliminates the computer hiss. Right now I have four computers and a tablet hooked up to the mixer. This has the added benefit that my computers are all connected to one audio system and I can either playback or record from my choice of computer. I have the mixer’s main outputs plugged into a 2×2 USB audio interface that I connect to one of the computers and to an amplifier.
The downsides for me are more what the mixer can’t do. It’s not an audio interface, the USB notwithstanding, but it can act very similarly. It connects to a computer via USB or RCA and then sends everything out through the main mix. I would have liked if it could send each channel individually, but that requires a device for more money. The four mono pre-amp channels have gain, level, pan,and 3 band equalizers. The 4 stereo inputs have only level and stereo balance. Mute and solo switches would be convenient, but I guess I’m not paying for convenience.
I read in some of the comments that a reviewer found that the mixer doesn’t sit flush to his desk and rocks when pushed. My unit does the same thing. One foot seems to sit about a millimeter high. Annoying, so I put a business card underneath. That stops the rocking, but if the unit moves, the card can slip out. I ended up attaching four square vinyl bumpers onto the bottom. That not only gets rid of the rocking but also movement. One of the bumpers covers a half inch of a ventilation opening. Hopefully that doesn’t cause a problem.
I read that another reviewer dislikes the DIN power plug and I also hate it. The plug can slip out if the unit is lifted. It only happened once to me, but if you are gong to move the mixer around, or even re-position it, first unplug it. I also find the DIN connector difficult to attach . I rarely get it on the first try, even if I’m looking straight at the arrow. I never had this problem with DIN connectors before, so it could be my eyesight is failing. I also don’t see why Behringer couldn’t add an on/off power switch. Rubber feet and a switch – that might cost the company fifty cents. Their margins can’t be that thin.
I was able to buy the mixer for less than $75 which seems to be a bargain since the price jumped $25 immediately after the purchase. For a hundred dollars, I might not have bought it. If I were willing to spend more I would have looked at a Mackie or Yamaha or a better Behringer, If I kept at a similar price point, I would have considered the Q802 or Q1002, but value for the price drove the sale. My price was actually less than the smaller Behringer mixers. Otherwise, for a bare-bones analog mixer at a reasonable price, this unit gets the job done.
I can’t say enough great things about this mixer. Simple to use, but loaded with all the features you could need as a live performer, or bedroom producer like myself. It worked from the moment I plugged it in, and has worked in every DAW I have tried. The free software is pretty simple to use as well, with plenty of information and tutorials available from beginner all the way to a professional level. Keep up the great work Behringer, I can’t wait to get another product from you.
The Behringer Q1202 is great for a small recording studio or mixing live. It’s easy to use with a bunch of different instruments, this just works.
I bought this for the podcast I’m starting and this works great with 4 xlr mics. It does create warmth so use it on a table not the floor.
I was able to podcast with a little experimentation with the settings, as the manual isn’t very helpful on which each setting does. Plug and play, right into my PC, built in compression.
The biggest con, other than the manual’s essential uselessness though, is that the gain on each channel is worthless, you’re better off adding it in post processing or between your source and the mixer if needed.
Serves me well after figuring out how to use it.
Nice Product, good seller and fastest shipping ever..the best…good job guys. I appreciate it.
Only thing missing is a mute button for channels. Great for twitch or podcasts.
Behringer Q1202USB Premium 12-Input 2-Bus Mixer
Produces clean sound that is simply perfect. Both use it for recording and small live performance. A must have mixer! For effects, works well with Behringer Ultra-Compact Stereo Multi-FX Processor.
Some people complained in the past about the build quality of Behringer products but I own quite a few and not a problem with any so far and this little mixer is no exception. Works very well, it may be small but with plenty of facilities for a band not putting a large drum kit through the PA and most importantly – the sound is really good.
Very good for the money
I’m using it with a PC to record and monitor audio.
I’ve used Behringer gear for many years – and it’s always been very reliable.
The packaging was nice and the product looked amazing except:
1. I ordered a Q1202USB and received an H1204USB and
2. The plug was a 2-pronged euro-style one and I live in England.
Fantastic price and a replacement for existing (2 mic input) Behringer mixer. Need more mics.
Facile mettre en uvre. Complet mais sans superflu
agrable utiliser.
This works a treat. My son loves it. I don’t know much about these things but it my son uses it everyday and it does everything it’s meant to do. Highly recommended product.
Behringer have always provided good value for money. My previous 1202FX had noise on it’s output and needed replacing. This was the perfect solution with the option integrate the USB output with Sonar X3. The only negative is the mono FX send. Stereo would have been better since the majority of effects and dynamic processors are stereo / dual mono. Otherwise the multitude of inputs are great. I have a 10-2FX mixer connecting into this 12-2 through the TAPE IN and use the MAIN OUT to supply my BR900CD 8 track. It is this versatility that makes this mixer such good value.
Great piece of kit for the price recommend to anyone.
ice compact mixer has all the inputs outputs you need to start your home setup/small gig the one knob compressors on each channel are pretty decent too. be warned tho this is a TWO bus mixer, it may have 12 channels but you can only record to two tracks at a time (left and right) to record say a bass and guitar into two separate tracks on logic/garageband at once you can to pan each channel left and right so the audio can be recorded individually. i didn’t read the fine print and i’m having to use this as a workaround until i can afford a decent interface.
Arrives as expected. I like it because it is affordable and recorded just perfectly. This is a gift to myself and Will recommend it to my friends.
I was looking for a small mixing table for 3 condenser microphones with a low noise preamplifier. For a reasonable price, I got 4 microphone phantom-powered preamps, plus several line inputs and an USB interface. The sound quality is quite good. Unbeatable for the price and works perfectly too! Minor point: the quality of the case and no support rubber pads.
Arrived in the predicted time window. Packaged adequately so no issues there.
I have to confess I bought the kit purely on price (very reasonable indeed) for an unforeseen drama production and my main desk was being used elsewhere…not because I am a huge fan of Behringer kit. It was the cheapest buy to resolve the problem.
There used to be a “thing” about some items of Behringer kit but I gather those days are long gone…Behringer saw the problem (some folks point at a less than perfect quality control in the Chinese factories…), resolved the issues and moved on.
Now they have acquired Midas and Klark Teknik it is probably fair to say the actual tech design is as good as any…whether or not the physical construction matches the technology inside only time will tell. Hence my decision to take a punt on this desk…as in how bad could it be?
If you insist on touring with it for live events (and bear in mind is it NOT a touring desk unless you are truly skint or just setting out on a gigging career) then you deserve everything you get but if you have it sitting in a “bedroom” sound studio then it will enjoy a much less harsh life and probably live for a very long time.
I would suggest that if you can stretch the budget then a “Gator” type padded case is a good buy (and can be found on Amazon)…dust and dirt are the other killers of this sort of kit so it pays to protect your investment, big or small.
It is as well to understand too that these items are built down to a price so it would be unrealistic to expect Midas or KT build quality…but that said read on.
I was pleasantly surprised to find this desk does feel quite chunky, even without an onboard PSU, so perhaps the metalwork IS a gauge or two thicker than hitherto? The actual footprint is only 10″ or so square so you aren’t going to be taking up acres of real estate in the studio.
The jacks and XLR connectors all have a “solid” feel when plugging in. Close inspection of the mic’ input XLRs reveals them as made by “Rean”, which is a subsidiary outfit attached to Neutrik. (I don’t know exactly how Rean stacks against Neutrik for quality but it can’t be far behind.) In other words Behringer are not being that stingy at all.
All the pots feel smooth and appeared to be noiseless. Naturally they will get noisier over time but that is probably a few years away, with any luck that is…
The desk boasts a standard size type B usb connector so you can plug in a laptop, say, without using up two desk channels. The laptop I used runs a Linux distro and recognised the desk instantly without the need for any drivers to be installed.
Older, domestic sound kit can be attached via a set of RCA or phono sockets but not at the same instant as a laptop.
As said earlier it’s not a proper touring desk, not just because of the pots instead of linear faders, because there’s no provision for PFL (pre fade listen) on a channel.
The onboard compressors are fine up to a point, but, inadvertently applying too much compression does not do you any favours if you encounter feedback problems. (Google for why as it would take too long here.)
Another thing I am not that keen about is that it has an external PSU. Not the fact it has an external PSU per se but it might have been better engineered with a locking low voltage plug to the desk itself? Those acquainted with Zero 88 kit will know that on a Jester desk, for example, they use a locking 4pin XLR plug.
And finally the round up; would I buy another desk? Perhaps.
Will I buy another desk? No, but only on the grounds that with the rate of Behringer improvements and innovations there is bound to be something more interesting around the corner.
(At the risk of straying off topic…what would be nice is an onboard mp3 player ((already on Chinese domestic market))…goodbye CD player/laptop or smart phone.
And optical SPDIF connectors so if you have to use a laptop then straight out of the SPDIF optical socket into the desk…goodbye ground loops.)
This thing works perfectly and for the money you aren’t going to get much better.
It doesn’t have sliders for each channel, which would be nice, but the phantom power looks after my Behringer C3 Mic and the USB connections make it simple to wire up to my PC.
My only gripe is that it doesn’t have a power switch, so I either have to unplug it each time (something I don’t want to do as the power connector looks quite delicate) or run it from a separate power source that I can switch on and off as needed)
You aren’t going to get away using this for larger setups (live music recording etc) but for my uses (podcasting and twitch streaming) it’s a fantastic little bit of kit!
Bought this mixer to replace a larger one that wasn’t needed.. Just me and one other musician needed something to run through for basic mixing at small gigs and at parties where I DJ from time to time to use multiple input sources for music.. Received this one today (two days earlier than expected) and hooked it up immediately.. Ran a few different line sources through it, and flexed it a little bit, also hooked it to the computer after downloading and installing Audacity.. Was able to accomplish this task within a matter of minutes and was recording tracks to my computer with NO HASSLE whatsoever.. Very little to no unwanted noise and my SM58 sounded spectacular on it..It doesn’t have all the bells and whistles , but it has it where it counts..For a hundred bucks, it was the perfect solution for me…
I love that Behringer is putting 1-knob compressors on all the XLR inputs these days. I do depositions, and I hoped compressing each channel before final mixing would be better than a compressor on the output, since a loud speaker talking at the same time as a quieter one can mask the quieter one. It turns out compressing the output leads to better volume regulation, but this mixer is small and light, so for a minimal kit, I think it’s a great candidate.
Additionally, the compressors don’t seem to bring up the background noise much. I don’t know if it’s because there isn’t much compression to them (a limit to the max ratio the dial will bring in?), or they are noise-gated, or what, but cranking the compression up pretty high wasn’t nearly as noise-inducing as I expected. I also didn’t notice any “pumping” except at the very very highest compression settings, so for vocal work (interviews), the compressors seem to do a very nice transparent job at 85% and under on the knob. I have no idea what ratio that is though. It would be nice if Behringer would list the range of compression ratios available in the specs for the unit.
The weight is good, and I’m glad to have tone and balance controls again (as compared to my older Shure mixer that is mono and no EQ controls).
Only a few complaints about this mixer:
1) AC adapter with non-standard plug. Replacements are likely to be expensive and/or hard to find?
2) The LED meter isn’t long enough. For good control over the audio, you need to see what it’s doing. 4 LEDs including CLIP isn’t really a meter, it’s an activity light.
3) The adapter is a heavy AC adapter, not DC. (see next paragraph)
I’d really prefer that the adapter be a transformerless DC adapter. Those AC adapters with transformers in them make such a huge magnetic field, that 60hz gets into anything within a couple of feet. This means the adapter can’t be pre-wired into a field kit like all the other wall warts – it has to sit on the floor several feet away to keep the hum out. A DC adapter could be bundled inside the equipment rack, tacked down, and not have to be plugged and unplugged every day.
I’ve had many Behringer products over the years and never had any problems with any of them. This one was no exception. Works and does what it was designed to do and at a very reasonable price. Well worth the money.
