My bf previously bought one from a different brand for his car but ended up returning it as he could hear static in the background but with this one it was easy to instal and works perfectly for his car. Very pleased. I will see how it progresses in the long run.

    My bf loved it.

Awesome bit of kit. There’s so many to choose from but I went with this one, and I don’t regret it one bit. Totally worth it! Well made and great value.

Much better than other BT transmitters out there, no fuzzy noise when listening to music.Would definitely recommend to anyone with an older car w/o BT capabilities. A much more cost effective option than a whole new sound system!

one one negitive point for this device – if it could have been a bit smaller it would be perfect.
We have always had brand new cars so are used to having mobile connected to the onboard computer system and listening to our own music streamed off our phones and answering phone calls, so when we just bought a 17 year old Z4 that has no onboard computer system and no way of connecting phone or music as no jack point I soon started looking into what I could buy to get these features working.
At first I got one that clips onto the sunvisor and allows you to call out and receive calls, that was great but if you wanted music to play from your phone it played via the devices speaker rather than the car speakers so sounded rubbish, then looked at other options and saw this.
So easy to set up just set your radio to the same number as whats on the device and save it on a station number on your radio, I have saved it to staion number 6 on 107.5 and your instantly connected, what ever you put on your mobile plays via the car speakers which is so much better than the first one i tried. not sure how i make a call out but i have easily answered incoming calls and can hear both ways perfectly. As I say the only downside is that its rather chunky and doesn’t fit well in the Z4 socket as its within a flip up lidded area and is such a tight fit it pushed the tray out thats under the lidded area, i also have to pull it out every time I turn the car off as the older cars keep it connected and it will drain my battery if I just permanently leave it plugged in. great device and highly recommend to anyone wanting to get phone connected to an older vechile.

so easy to set up with your mobile - great device - shame it isnt a bit smaller though

I wasn’t sure whether to buy this item or not, but having taken a chance, all I can say is what a fantastic choice I made.
Once connected to my phones bluetooth and tuning the stereo to the frequency indicated on the display the transmitter works perfectly. Not only for music but answer your phone is really easy. You can also pop a micro sd card into the slot and immediately the transmitter switches to SD mode and any music or books you have loaded onto the SD card play faultlessly.
I recommend this piece of kit.

For 12.99 at the time of writing this you really can’t complain. This small little unit is perfect if you are in someone else’s car and don’t want to pair your phone up to it or if the vehicle doesn’t have BT connectivity.

I haven’t use it for a call so I cannot comment however for music play it’s fine. There is some FM drift now again, not the unit’s fault – just because the FM frequency is just so cluttered these days.

Once connected to your phone you can stream audio to the unit which in turn broadcasts it via a FM signal your car stereo.

Nothing new and it just works.

I ordered it for a company van, as it is an old Ford Transit, and does not have Bluetooth connectivity to pair with the phone.
Using this FM transmitter, you can make phone calls and listen to music hands-free.
All you have to do is to plug the transmitter in into the cigarette lighter port, and set up the same radio frequency on both: the car’s radio and the transmitter. You can do it both ways – adjusting the radio frequency to match the transmitter, or adjusting it on the transmitter itself.
Once there is a frequency match, the connection will be established.
The next step is to open your phone’s Bluetooth settings and connect to a device described as “BC57″( you can rename it as you wish).
Once the phone is connected to the transmitter, you will hear the “bip” and the verbal announcement through the car’s speakers.
From now on you can initiate, and pick up a phone call, or listen to your favorite music from your phone.
And all of this while being able to charge( RED USB port) your phone or any other device, at the same time 🙂
The transmitter also supports an USB drive( BLUE USB port ), and a micro SD card( hidden at the bottom front part, just below and LCD display.

The quality of music played is very good, as is a phone call conversation. Loud and clear. You will have to increase the volume a bit compared to when listening to the radio.

I found one downside during my tests:
Bluetooth connectivity is good but the phone does not connect back automatically. It might be different in your case. I’ve been using the Samsung S9 for my tests. Each time I turned the ignition off or entered a van, I had to connect manually, pulling out a Bluetooth menu on my phone.
It’s not a big deal but it would be great if the phone could reconnect automatically.

Overall great product, well made and working well. For 12.99( as of today ) it’s definitely worth buying.

Good FM transmitter for music and calls.

Had a few Bluetooth transmitters however this is the best. It’s not static sounds at all, like some transmitters. It’s got easy access to skip songs too. Which I think is way better. The sound is very clear and so easy to set up. 10/10, would 100% recommend this product if you want something easy and straight forward.

This is brilliant! I recently bought a new car and unfortunately the in-car bluetooth won’t connect to my phones current software. Saw one of these advertised and decided to try it. It is brilliant. Was very easy to connect to my current phone and I can now answer calls as well as listen to music from my own playlist. It also has the option to add a USB or flash card if you want to listen to music.

For the current price of 12.99 I think it is great value.

    Good transmitter for that price.
Works great and easy to use it.
Can play radio or music. And talk handsfree to.
Worth to buy it for such price.
    Recommending.

Primarily, I was after a 12V – 5V USB adaptor for charging but this has several other useful features added on – primarily the short range stereo FM transmitter to connect to the car radio, which on older cars like mine may not have bluetooth or an auxiliary input for connecting a phone or music player for example. In addition it can play music via the USB or uSD card (slot integrated) and allows hands free functions such as voice control. The unit is nicely designed with a fairly neat finish all round.

Connecting to the phone is simple, search for BT devices (once plugged into the cigarette lighter) and it shows as BC57 – easy enough – the phone treats it as a ‘speaker’ and will transmit audio to it. It then takes the audio and transmits it on an FM frequency to the radio (this was made legal in 2006 by Ofcom in the UK with certain power limits) – the default is 87.5MHz which is only really used by restricted service licences (student stations etc) so may be a safe bet – the other end of the spectrum is 108.0MHz which may work better depending on other local stations. Changing the frequency can be done (shown on display) using the >> key – long press and then back and forth in 0.1MHz increments. Both 87.5MHz and 108MHz worked well but I noticed that when I had the USB cable plugged in to my wireless charging cradle there was noticeable switching noise from the electronics coming through on the radio – it seemed worse on 87.5 but it’s easy enough to change. Once the music is playing however it’s hardy noticeable at higher volumes. The play/pause and forward/back buttons all work nicely with the BT function, although if like me the cigarette lighter is very low down behind the gearstick then it can be tricky to reach them.

Charging works well, there are 2 USB ports, one is the lower current one which also supports USB keys for music (mp3, wav, flac etc) whilst the other is QC3.0 up to 3A@5V, 2A@9V and 1.5A@12V if your device supports it. The hands-free function essentially works like a car kit and hence the unit has a built-in microphone – again depending on your lighter position this may not be ideal and may result in a quiet voice input or potentially feedback. Another added feature is that when first plugged in, it shows the car’s battery voltage which is handy to know if you don’t have access to a multimeter.

For me however, the two most used functions will be the charge ports and the FM connectivity meaning I can ditch the scratched CDs and listen to music from my phone via the car’s audio system. Great little gadget for around 13.

A great replacement if your vehicle does not have Bluetooth. This also has a fast usb port which can charge your phone very fast while usage. The material is also very good as it does not break from accidental drops and will not have scuffs. I would definitely recommend this.

The package is very good, plug and play, and easy to configure. Transmission is very effective, and great for old cars which have no Bluetooth. Recommend if you are driving those classic cars which are appeared in InitialD.

Part of the fun of having a CD player in the car is/was putting together compilations to suit a mood etc but once I hopped on the bluetooth player bandwagon (I have an old car) I was hooked.

    This is a great version.

As with them all it plugs into what you used to call the “cigarette lighter” port. What’s great about this is the versatility of it. The few I’ve used before are either plug in USB or TF card (or similar). This is both. So you can use it as bluetooth as well as these other methods. There’s two charging ports too (one exclusive for that) so you can charge and listen at the same time.

It’s easy to set up and as long as you get as clear an FM frequency to hitch on to the sound quality is great.

Can also be used as hands free kit for your phone etc but personally I wouldn’t use it for that as driving is a good excuse not to take any calls!

    Great value for it’s versatility.

I have an old car with a CD player in it. I plug this car audio FM transmitter into the cigarette lighter socket and now I can play music and listen to audible stories and still use the sat-nav. It pauses the radio when giving directions or answering a phone call. It is easy to set up. As long as you have reasonable speakers I would definitely recommend older cars with cassette or CD players.

Great if you have an older car without Bluetooth
