Our first one died, the switch broke and would not start.
This one seems to be stronger and works better than the last, the battery compartment is a better fit and the height adjustment is also better. The power cut off is also better situated. A very good lawnmower and NO electrical cable to drag around Being battery run means you can use anywhere on any garden.
Beim auspacken des Mhers fiel auf, dass die am Gestnge bentigten Klemmhebel (zur Befestigung der unteren und oberen Stangen) und der Leitungshalter fehlten.
Eine Anfrage direkt beim Bosch Support, ob man die fehlenden Ersatzteil liefern knne, endete mit:
Wir knnen nicht auf Ihre Bestellung zugreifen, um den Sachverhalt zu berprfen. Handelt es sich jedoch um einen falschen oder fehlerhaften Lieferumfang, ist es notwendig, die Reklamation direkt bei Amazon vorzunehmen.”
Schade, dass der Bosch Service hier seine Chance verspielt. Rechnung und sogar Seriennummer htte ich liefern knnen.
Kleinteile fr insgesamt weniger als 10 Euro die man unkompliziert und kulant htte verschicken knnen.
Ich hoffe der Mher hlt lange, denn wer wei was Bosch innerhalb der Garantiezeit macht, wenn ein echter Schaden vorliegen wrde.
Jedenfalls wendete ich mich an Amazon. Klar, Ersatzteile hat Amazon nicht auf Lager, aber es wurde mir zuvorkommend und direkt geholfen!
Fr die fehlenden Teile blieb danach somit eine Bestellung im Ersatzteilshop fr Bosch.
Daher 5 Sterne fr den Amazon Support und nur 2 Sterne fr den Bosch Support!
Der Mher an sich ist top. Im Vergleich zum zehn Jahre alten Vorgngermodell (welches bei mir lange problemlos lief) ist er wesentlich leiser und leistungsstrker. Bei hherem Gras dreht der Elektromotor stabil weiter, wo meinem alten Bosch schonmal die Kraft ausging.
Der alte 4Ah Akku hlt gefhlt gleich lang wie beim Vorgnger.
Die Hhenverstellung gelinkt mit nur einer Hand.
Fr Menschen ber 190cm auch gut zu schieben, ohne gebckt laufen zu mssen. Dazu gibt es an Gestnge zwei einstellbare Hhen.
Add on: Mit dem optionalen Multkit erweitert kann man den Schnitt auch gleich auf dem Rasen belassen. Auch hier ist der Neue besser als der Alte.
Bought this one to replace a corded mower. Already had a lot of Bosch kit from which I could reuse the batteries. Love the device, rides very easily, relatively quiet, nice cut quality and the bin is large enough so that you don’t have to empty it every 2 feet.
I am very pleased with this mower. I am a pensioner, but can use it easily and one charge does my whole lawn, which is quite large. I can find no fault with it and would not hesitate to recommend it to others.
Type of quality you would expect from bosch. Great product all round.

overall a good mower…but dislike the collapsible grass box
This is a review for Bosch UniversalRotak 36-550. This lawnmower is so easy to use it actually makes me look forward to mowing the lawn(!). The garden is 30m x 15m and it does it all on a single charge of the battery. Light to lift and light to push around, it is also, to my ears anyway, not at all noisy. Recommended.
Ersatzartikel fr den 10 Jahre alten Bosch Rotak 43. Der alte war besser: Schnittbreite und fester Fangkorb.
I bought the larger battery and it lasts long enough to cut my 30m2 lawn three times. It’s easy to use, light to carry and manoeuvre and cuts beautifully. It’s much quieter than my previous wired mower, and so much easier without a cable in the way.
The only assembly required is to put the handle on, and the plastic brackets split. Thankfully the handle stays on.
I bought this mower after an earlier model stopped working after 8 years. The new model is much easier to use and the new design of the grass box and the height adjustment are notable improvements. I am very happy with my purchase.
Gros avantages : modle lger et facile transporter avec sa poigne bien place. Le bac de 40l est lui aussi facile manipuler.
Inconvnients : on passe presque plus de temps vider le bac qu’ tondre. Consommation assez importante. J’ai bien fait d’acheter une batterie de 6Ah, a me suffit tout juste pour 400 m.

Great lawnmower, would probably have liked it to have a cutting range of 15 – 70mm rather than 25 – 75mm, however, other than that, I’m very happy with the lawnmower.
Had this number for a few years now, and it has always stepped up to the plate, and dealt with everything its pushed-towards; tall grass, leaves, weeds, thistles, vines, sticks and even the mother-in-laws garden aka mini jungle.
It’s very practical, sturdy and also very quiet in comparison to the power it has. Easy to manoeuvre even in higher grass, and very reliable, the two-speed mode works like a charm, only time I’ve pushed the button and it hasn’t turned on was when I didn’t slot the battery in properly, other than that when you push the button, it’s show-time.
Nice lightweight design and ergonomic comfortable Raleigh bike style handle and controls, the safety controls are very good especially with kids present. I have a number of Bosch products simply because they always get the job done, are well built and have a practical ecosystem e.g. pull the battery out of the lawnmower and slot the same battery into the trimmer to finish any edging.
Efficient, practical, strong, durable, reliable.
Good delivery as promised, mower is easy to assemble, light and manouverable to use, good clean cut. Mowed my lawn twice, about 250m sq before I had to recharge battery for nextusage. Value and quality as you expect from Bosch.
Brought to cut councils grass verge that they only cut every 5 weeks.

Cut the grass well and so much easier not having to worry about the trailing cable. I was not wildly impressed with the collapsible grass collector though. Great for storing if you have limited space but a bit flimsy in use. Other than that a great mower so far.
Good product, just need to make it cut shorter would then make this a great product.
I had looked at other options, but an awful lot of the (highly recommended) alternatives were brand names that I didn’t recognise – I had actually ordered a ‘best cordless mower’, before reading reviews that said you couldn’t source spares, including a replacement blade. Needless to say, I cancelled the order, and decided to go for my third Bosch mower – more expensive, but at least I know it will be reliable and I’ll be able to replace the blade if necessary!
The Bosch UniversalRotak 36-550 is an excellent machine, easy to assemble, lightweight and easy to use. My only problem was with the handles, not so easy to fold away for easy storage, the screws holding the handles could be more substantial, otherwise grey machine.
Great mower for small to medium lawn. Battery life is incredible. Lightweight and easy to carry and store. So much easier to mow without a cable. Much more enjoyable
Good lawnmower, easy to use and good battery life. Only downside is the grass box, which can fall off! Apart from that a good purchase.
Bought to replace same model which had lasted for 12 years. It’s definitely quieter than the older model. Battery fits well (kept that from old model-still going strong). Seems heavier to push on setting where it is closest to grass than my older one. Grass box doesn’t sit so well and if you don’t get it right it comes off easily. I’ve rarely been disappointed with Bosch products, so I hope this lasts as long as my old one, which finally just had a battery connection issue and blunt blades but 12 years of mowing is impressive longevity.

Bought to cut grass paths in vegetable garden that I used to strim using (now defunct) petrol strimmer. Overall, does the job very well. Single cutting blade means cuts well but will not mulch the grass, so collecting box (40 litres) has to be used and emptied frequently. With collecting box in place, overall length limits manoeuvrability in awkward places. Slightly temperamental – occasionally will not start until battery has been removed and replaced. I already owned 2 x Bosch 36v batteries bought with another product, so high price of batteries did not put me off.
Der Rasenmher ist extrem handlich und leicht. Als super leise, wie Bosch ihn bezeichnet, wrde ich ihn nicht beschreiben. Er hrt sich an, wie ein ganz normaler Rasenmher.
Zur Mhflche wrde ich sagen, dass 400 bis 500 m2 realistisch sind bei normalem Gras / Hhe. (Mit dem mitgelieferten Akku)
I couldn’t be any happier with my purchase. Did everything Bosch said it would do and more. Cuts beautifully, picks up all the cuttings. One full battery charge will give me two cuts. Front and back garden before having to recharge. Really impressed how long the battery lasts (I have two average sized family lawns)
