Efficient, powerful saw, not too heavy, pretty easy to handle, Equally good to use indoors and out. Bosch is a rightly respected brand and this one hits the mark again. Big tick.
This Bosch circular saw is pretty sturdy and powerful, all while being compact. If you are familiar with the tool and how to use it then it’s easy to operate and produces good quality work.
This is a brilliant circular saw from the well known brand of Bosch. But, from Bosch, I’d expect nothing.
This is your average sized circular saw about 300mm long and 260mm high, weighing in at less than 5kg, with a blade of 190 diameter with 16 teeth. It has a cutting depth of 65mm (48mm when angled)
It’s 1600 watts of power is enough to cut through most jobs in and around the house, DIY and trade.
The handle is comfortable to grip, even after several cuts, with the trigger and safety lock in exactly the right place to be reached by the hand gripping the handle.
The base-plate can be angled at 45 to give more cutting choice, using the small paddle like lever to unlock the base-plate and locking it back into position once you’ve got the angle you need.
There’s a guide bar which slots into the base-plate, using a thumb screw to tighten it into place. This really does come in handy when you’re trimming several pieces of wood over and over again. This guide helps you get the same cut each time.
There’s an extraction point which you can hook up to a vacuum cleaner to suck most of the sawdust away from the cutting area.
In all, as with most Bosch products, this is a cracking tool which does exactly what it’s supposed to do and it does it so well.
