I absolutely love this kettle. We have actually had it for close to 10 years but I was just telling a family member how great it is and thought that I should write a review. It’s easy to fill as the lid is nice and wide, temperature control for different teas and dairy free milks (soya in my coffee often curdles at 100) is so easy and you can clearly read how full it is on the side. I’ve deducted a star for noise as my partner hated the notification bleep when it’s boiled but he just disconnected the wire so it is now silent. It broke after years of service and we bought another brand which I hate. Happily another family member fixed it last year so its back in service. I will always buy this kettle and hope it never goes out of production.
We bought this model in 2015 , but it had started to show signs of wear and tear so we simply bought another one the same as we liked it so much. Fast boiling – very quick. Great model.
A bit loud if you are likely to make a drink in the night as it beeps loud when it’s done. Other than that it’s a fab kettle only used for today
Fantastic kettle, quick to heat, easy to clean and energy efficie
Very pleased with this kettle. The fact you can set three temperatures is excellent for tea. The keep hot button is excellent when making several cups of tea in the morning. But most importantly, its quiet and fast.
I like the kettle, noise wise it’s average but the beep when it’s finished is helpful and the keep warm button is good when you remember to press it. I do find that once it boils you have to give it a second to stop bubbling or it’s spirts out everywhere if you fill it to max so the beep maybe a little premature. Energy efficiency I have no idea, it boils pretty quickly so I’m guessing it’s probably not great but the keep warm button may make up for this. I’m happy with it and I’m fussy.
Can you live a kettle?
Well I admit I love this one.
It looks fab in my kitchen, the black & chrome – very stylish.
But it works brilliantly.
It’s quick to boil and quiet too, except when it beeps to let you know it’s ready.
We are a family who drink different types of tea and coffee, hence why we went ahead with the different temperatures. And I must say it improves the flavour of the tea / coffee if you prepare it at the correct temperature too!!
Certainly staying in our kitchen as a must have!!
All good so far. Boils quickly and pretty quietly. Various tempreture settings useful for coffee and green tea. Flip lid – where most similar kettles fail – appears robust. Only failing is the darned stupid place where the sight glass is placed under the substantial handle – how does such a thing get past the design stage?
Love this kettle. Looks the business and does the job without any drama. Not too noisy and not annoying to live with.
Opening for refilling is nice and big and the base is sturdy. I love the contemporary design and I bought the matching toaster which is also great.
Not many products with this type of look/functionality at this price point. Buy it.

BUT it beeps really loudly when it boils, when it turns on and it is not just a subtle soothing beep to accompany your coffee. It is an ear splitter, especially at 5:05am when my wife puts the kettle on.
This is the second time I have purchased this kettle. The first one which I brought many years ago is still working. This kettle is durable and I love the fact that the lid open up entirely. It is made really well and feels durable. Another great product by Bosch.
Used one in a holiday Villa and knew I had to buy one when I got home – great features fast boil looks great too!
This replaced my previous Bosch kettle. That one lasted 7 years before the heat sensor stopped working – good value for a modern kettle!
Really like this kettle as looks smart. Boils quickly and nothing really negative apart from the somewhat annoying buzz when it boils. I got this at a good price so i have no real complaints.

Used to top up my Nespresso coffees as their machines never make hot enough coffee drink, so mainly used to top up my drink with hot water. Like the fact keeps the water hot if so choose. Also perfect temperature for a green tea.

Bought the same kettle I’ve had for last three years which stopped working. Everything is good except the noise level. Much, much louder!! Bit disappointed. Cannot hear the tv over the noise .
We love this kettle but it stopped working after 18 moths and we had to buy it again. Yes, we bought the same one, because, when it works it is fabulous. It has a greater capacity than most (1.7L) and looks the business. Hopefully, this one will last a little longer.

Decent kettle, boils quick and to selected temperature, not noisy. bit on the ugly side (like a big flask) and prefer do with digital display to say how many cups in.

This is the most expensive kettle I’ve ever and it’s worth it. It looks beautiful and works perfectly. I was so impressed I had to buy the toaster too.
The kettle looks really stylish and actually is very good with boiling water quickly and quietly. The body of the kettle only gets warm when fully boiled water is inside so safe to touch. The keep warm function is good although I don’t use that often but is useful for mornings when you have one drink after another. Really pleased with the look of the item and how it works. Is really just a kettle but does exactly what it says so no issues at all

Great kettle. Efficient a little bit noisy but that could be my water as it’s full of lime and we have to filter it, then descale everything every few weeks
Bought to replace an identical model which had started to leak from the base after 6 years. Same reliable performance, and the electronic beep volume much reduced on this one, which is very welcome !
OK it’s not a cheap kettle but have to say worth every penny, this is my second one of these, the first lasted just over 3 years , and where I live the water is as hard as a diamond , if you want a high end electric kettle I don’t think you can beat this produc
We had an earlier model which after some time went wrong. To replace it we purchased a different make which was cheaper. What a mistake it was slower to boil and beeped at every turn. This one is worth every penny quick to boil and very quiet.good looking and worth every penny.

This is our second Bosch kettle. we had the old one for about 9years. The old kettle started leaking and the electrical connection failed. We loved the long-lived Kettle that we bought a replacement hoping it will last another 9 years.
Catching up with reviews from a while ago. Which is good, because I can now report that this is the longest lasting kettle we have ever owned. it shows no sign of slowing down either. I think this item is a good example of you get what you pay for. Would recommend.
Good looking kettle which appears to be well designed, as a filter coffee lover, the adjustable temperature control is great.
Don’t think I would ever use the ‘keep warm’ function and don’t see the point of it, but won’t stop me giving this 5 stars.

Very neat in appearance. Temperature control works well. Lid stuck once but it has cut out safety feature if overheats with little water. Released later by pressing lid switch and inserting finger inside spout. The water flows exuberantly into cup. It has enthusiasm.
I really like the look of this stylish kettle and the temperature control is great. Only problem is the flimsy plastic lid. For over 40 I expected a high quality all round. After 3 weeks the lid started getting stuck closed; lid has a big button that you press and release to open, the release stopped working properly but it seems to depend on whether its hot or cold. Disappointed as it has that fault but overall a quality product.
Not even a month the lid fails to open occasionally. I went for a branded one but disappointed. I will not recommend

The cup indicator and keep warm function are good eco additions, as is the fact that it can heat water to lower temperatures (great for things like instant hot chocolate). It is intuitive and simple to use. It is just one of those household items that you don’t think about because it just lets you get on with your life unhindered.

Didn’t need a new kettle I had this same one in white but wanted change of colour. I love this kettle and like the fact you can choose the temperature and that my other one never let me down still working great after having it for years so I’m very happy with my new one.
We purchased the Black Bosch Kettle (right) back in 2005. After 16 years of great performance, the kettle has developed a small leak. Still works but decided time to replace.
We love this Bosch kettle and have looked around at other makes. Decided on the same product again. Went for the White version this time. Delighted with the purchase and would recommend.
At this price I thought the interior was made of metal as I saw in the picture, but it is plastic and I am disappointed.
