Couple months ago I became a single man . So I needed to buy a vacuum cleaner what makes my life easier. After a few days research I got this baby. I have to say it’s brilliant. 2 batteries each of them can last for 7-9 minutes on turbo mode and regular mode 15-17 minutes. What is amazing.
Light and very easy to maneuver with it. Highly recommend it.
Great vacuum with attachments, good for carpets on turbo mode, and great on hard floors in normal mode, easy detachable hand held vac for cleaning stairs and the car, very impressed, a great price aswell, easy storage with the hanging vacuum compartment.
Lovely cleaner comes with 2 batteries
Which gives longer cleaning time
It has a bracket to fit on the wall
Would recommend this as it is lightweight so can take it upstairs with ease it has a good suction on it well worth the money
This bosch vacuum cleaner is extremely quiet, compared to many other leading brand vacuums. Its good good suction power and light weight.
The battery life is not good as I would have hoped, luckily the model I purchased comes with 2 batteries. I purchased a separate charger to always have a charged battery available.
The dust/dirt collection bin could have been a little bigger to save frequently having to empty.
If you hate hearing the noise of vacuums being used whilst watching TV or on the phone then I recommend purchasing this Bosch as it’s quite as a mouse!
Very quiet compare to my dyson. Very happy with it. Using about 3months now.
Seriously, I started to enjoy vacuuming now. Before, when I had my big vacuum cleaner with a cord – the process of cleaning was like a huge thing and I did it properly once a week. Now, when I have a spare 15 min I just grab it and do quick cleaning almost every other day, because it is simple, convenient, and enjoyable.
Super happy with this product, really recommend it for small flats and easy everyday cleaning!
Very light weight and does the job for a quick hover.
Powerful and very lightweight. The only problem is battery charging. This is onboard charging on main unit. A separate fast charger charger has to be purchased if required. Also, the capacity of dirt collection is small. However, this is a first class vacuum cleaner.
Lightweight wee hoover with a good suction. Easy to use. Im soo happy with my purchase.
I like that it is light and easy to use, powerful suction. I dislike that it doesn’t stand up un it’s ow
Easy to install charger bracket that also stores the vacuum cleaner. No changing the head for different floors.
berraschend gute saugleistung.Wohnung Treppen Haus schnell sauber machen geht schnell von der Hand, und als nchstes ist das Auto dran. Lieferzeit bertroffen zwei Tage frher als angesagt, danke DPD.
Typical Bosch high standards of quality in manufacture and design. Been very impressed with how quiet it is compared with another well known brand that I had been using and the Bosch has the same if not slightly more suction. Easy to use and I can give the whole house (a large two storey with a mixture of hard floors and carpets) a clean on one battery. Collected dirt is fairly easy to empty and fluff etc drops off filter when tapped gently on bin. If you are thinking of ditching the mains vacuum for a cordless, this is a great model to choose.
Cheaper, far better construction and quality than my Dyson. The Dyson is made from rubbish plastic and the battery had to be replaced after little use. The Bosch come with two batteries that are easy to take of and put on. The Dyson battery could only be replaced by dismantling parts of the body using screw drivers. Some people would have to send to a specialist to get the battery replace at a huge cost. The cost of a new Dyson battery is beyond belief. I would never by another over priced Dyson product.
It is so powerful and with the great idea to have two batteries and a speedy charger you don`t need to wait hours to clean the whole house and whatever you need also.
Very quite and efficient vacuum. Well made and put together. Good quality product. Very pleased with the way it works and also comes with a wall mounted charging uni
I’ve not a lot to compare this to really, but for me, it’s been impressive.
Used to clean up after household DIY or for a quick whip around a couple of rooms or the stairs, it’s mostly used on boost mode for 5 minutes at a time then back on charge.
Picks up dust and cat hair very well, easier than I thought it would be to empty and nice and lightweight. Very handy that I can share the batteries with my other Bosch 18v kit.
We used to have a GTech hoover. It was useless – just moved dirt about on the floor. Not so with this Bosch. Perfect if you have moulting pets – the turbo feature works wonders. The only downside might be the battery life but if you have an average sized house then you should be fine. The accessories are helpful and we love our new vacuum cleaner – no regrets!
I was very pleased with the efficiency of my old vacuum cleaner but it was too heavy to carry around and took up too much space in my small terraced house. The Bosch cordless vac is perfect for my needs.
It is a great product, easy to use and assembly. Value for money.
It’s so quiet, I can’t believe how powerful it is, I love it, way better than a dyso
Lightweight and easy to use. Motivates to do shorter and more frequent vacuuming.
We bought this model to replace an old Dyson and so pleased with the purchase. It is lightweight, has good suction plus a booster setting, easy to empty, 2 batteries and conveniently is wall-mounted. Good value compared to other makes and we’ll designed.
It’s Bosch so it’s good but the small dust storage container is frustrating – size needs to be increased by at least 50%.
Absolutely love this cordless vac. I’ve been wanting one for a long time as my dyson corded is quite heavy and not so easy to move about. This makes vacuuming so much easier. Perfect for quick daily clean ups, and I’m not having to use my dyson as much which is great. Battery life good. Turbo is needed for carpets but the battery life is still good enough to complete a 4 bed house.
Suction power better than Dyson and European quality not cheap China product……
Had a few Bosch Athlet hoovers over the years and they are all fantastic. Customer service is also above and beyond. Only issue is when the battery doesn’t charge as well after a few years, you will need to buy a new one. This one has interchangeable batteries so this problem will no longer be a issue. It’s lighter and more quiet than the Bosch Athlet and can be installed to charge on the wall. The suction is fantastic and it has a turbo button for heavier soiled areas. So far the best hoover I have ever owned.
Our main hoover is a Miele 1000w. This here is great for day to day jobs like having crumbs on the floor. I would not get this – or any other battery driven hoover – as my main hoover. But as a secondary one it’s lightweight, quick at hand, easy to empty and has a replaceable battery. Suction power is good enough for all jobs. Better on carpets than on hard floor. Very good for counter. Great. Love it.
I am very pleased at the lightness of this item. I am getting on in years and was struggling with a vacuum cleaner which wasn’t cordless and extremely heavy to push. Also it seems easy to attach the necessary tools when needed. Delivery was very quick so in all very pleased.
Fantastic product from Bosch, lightweight, and brilliant on both carpet and hard floors. Battery life is excellent last up to approx 1hr (also they provide you with 2 batteries). Really pleased with my new purchase
Suction is very good for the amount of power especially on boost mode. Does collect hair a lot which needs to be cut off the roller.
Bought this because I refuse to buy a Dyson. Lots of positives but not a buy if you have lots of carpets, we have mainly wood flowers and it works well. It is light, easy to handle and has good suction particularly if you use the boost. Downsides it has a small capacity (obviously) it lasts 20 to 30 minutes depending on which attachments are used. It takes quite a while to recharge never timed it but at least an hour.
Excellent for light work high up dusting and on wood and laminate floors. Wouldn’t be a good choice for a carpeted house.
Brilliant, quiet, good suction, turbo for even more suction, lightweight, has all the attachments you’ll need, easy to empty. I would say it makes vacuuming enjoyable but to be honest I don’t think anything would, however this does make it quick and easy which is close enough plus it looks like part of a storm troopers kit from Star Wars, always a good look in my eyes.
Starting using it daily since day 1 purchase. Very happy on the performance so far. Sucking power is good, not noise and not heavy. It is very suitable for daily use.
Love the fact it is light weight and not tied to a plug socket but I am disappointed about the suction power even when on turbo. The other thing I don’t like is having to empty it so often and clean the filter. I use a tooth brush to clean the filter but it has to be done every time you use it.
We don’t have stairs but I image this would be ideal, and the flexible extension is great for the car.
Suction power good on both settings.
Having two batteries is a good idea.
Amazing product on a great price.
The battery life is 30 min,but I got two batteries and may swapping them
A good performance, small dust collection unit, easy to handle, only used once or twice a week.
We love this vacuum. Got the one with two batteries, and it’s interchangeable with battery from our hedge trimmer, so always have extra power. Turbo mode for the tough stuff does drain the battery fast, but most jobs sorted by the regular power. Love the mount which charges it too, keeps it on hand and ready to go
Very pleased with this purchase after 1 months use. Replaced a couple of Dyson with dying batteries after refusing extortionate replacement prices. Docking station useful and neat, empties easily, can do large 3 bed house on one battery..would need 2 if using high power mode. Picks up well and is very light to carry round. Long bendy nozzle is a useful tool. Would like a dusting tool but will rob one off of old Sebo or Miele as I understand has same fittings.
I was amazed how much this little hoover gets off the carpet or is it our old hoover was rubbish, who knows. Love my little Bocsh
Best Buy ever ! Easy to use, lightweight and great for using on the stairs. Battery holds its charge and lasts.
This vacuum cleaner is now my best friend. It is light and battery lasts nicely. I do not mind that storage place is small as it is easy to empty .
Pleasantly surprised by just how much this vacuum can do . Fantastic on stairs very portable and easy to use. Happily recommend i
Lightweight and practical to use. Slim and easy to store on the wall
This machine comes with no spare battery and separate charger. And uses the charger supplied and charges the battery whilst on the machine.
If you have a small house this is ok and you will probably not need to buy spares. (Small house 6 or 7 rooms)
As with most appliances with release mechanisms if you have arthritic hands and fingers you will struggle to release the main bits like the dust canister and the long tool. But for most it will be ok.
But overall it is a good machine and works pretty well.
Works very well and really quiet. We bought because our previous Hoover kept destroying the carpet. This Hoover has very good duction power but whitout sucking cables, rugs and carpe
Left it a few weeks before leaving a review so It would be a true review. This is the best vacuum ,reasonably priced,no fiddling switches to operate, just switch on and use.The attachments sooo good and just what I needed. Being elderly means limited Movement I need electricals to be easy and light weight. Perfect in every way, Thankyou.
Quality good overall, plenty of useful accessories, two batteries but can only recharge on m/c when not in use, otherwise good value, weight heavier than anticipated
Lightweight well made and easy to operate. Good battery life. I especially liked the feature where you don’t have to keep your finger on the trigger to operate it. This would be important for someone who is either elderly or has arthritis in the hands.
Great Vacuum, if you considering getting a Dyson then take a look at this before you buy, it’s a lot cheaper and does the same job, the bin is a bit smaller but it’s a lot easier to clean the parts that come with it and with the last Dyson I had that was a right pain.
Purchased for elderly mother – absolutely perfect – she is delighted. Light but good suction. Easy to use and empty and swap tools. Good battery life but with 2 batteries this is even better. Will probably be buying one for myself!
I have always had Dyson and I need anew one every 2 years. In between replacing filters etc but I was fed up with how I had to empty the bin.
I have lots of Bosch appliances
And have
Found them robust
No frills
However, this wand hoover is fab and really attractive
I had used my Dyson the day. but was horrified at
How much dust was in this new wand
So easy to empty – good looking – easy to charge
Yes it is a bit heavy but compensated for by a much longer battery life
Love it – so far!
Easy to empty, lightweight, good battery life and very quiet when cleaning.
Overall all good. Only comes with 2.5 ah batteries not sure there going to last to long. You can purchase bigger batteries seprate but expensive, Not used for any length of time because Bosch ship it with nearly flat batteries. Good move Bosch.
Very good only trouble is I have a dog and suction pipe keeps blocking so have keep cleaning the pipe ou
Good but suction could be better… works well on Turbo mode.
This has made so much difference. Having suffeted with a neck condition for years, this machine is wonderful, so light and easy to use
Easy fix attachments, reasonable suction, light weight and moves effectively over varied surfaces without adjustment.
Sturdy and well made vacuum with a very flexible head and ability to go under sofas with ease. Used predominantly on wooden floors and carpeted stairs its good for daily maintenance cleaning around the home. You do still need a proper vacuum however, this is more a convenience aid for small spruce ups. Comes with 2 batteries, wall mount (need your own screws and plugs) and a bunch of attachments for corners and soft furnishings. Lasts around an hour. Easy to clean the dust tray and isn’t super loud when in operation. Compared to a shark and dyson its the same to me.
I don’t find this terribly powerful but adequate.
Thank goodness it is easy to clean the rotary brush because having a Golden Retriever plays havoc with any vacuum cleaner. In fact the expensive pet versions of other manufacturers which I have had in the past were certainly no better.
The flexible extension nozzle is perfect to cleaning along the skirting boards. It gets nicely under beds and all in all was worth buying.
Love this, nice and light and manouverable.
Good tool assortment and battery life
This is the best vacuum cleaner I have ever bought and makes the job so much easie
We have used it for a few months now and we’re pretty happy with it.
It works fine: low noise; strong sucking; easy to use; also the weight is not a problem. Actually it is lighter than I thought.
A little bit pricey but overall, it’s worth it.
Very good portable vacuum cleaner. Long battery life (and it comes with two batteries). Very quiet and easy to handle. Suction good enough even in low mode which helps extend battery life.
Easy to manoeuvre and lightweight. Best thing, apart from being quiet, is how easy it is to clean and reassemble. Very happy consumer.
Had a Dyson, V6, gave trouble, cutting out, replaced battery unit, lasted another year, then same again.
Dyson compared to Bosch, no comparison, Bosch wins hands down, better build quality, suction, run time.
Looks good and works well. Like the fact I don’t have to hold the on button. Cleans under furniture well. Easy to empty and clean. Suction not nearly as good as my Dyson stick though.
Suction might be slightly weaker than I expected but stil does the job brilliantly. Very satisfied with this product.
I use this as my main house vacuum cleaner. It is the third stick vacuum that I have purchased and by far the best. Previous ones have been difficult to take apart and tedious to empty and clean the filters. This one is simple to take apart with one push on the handle and a reassuring click to put back.
The dust container is again easy to get out and simple to empty, you must tap the filter every time to keep it dust free but it’s so simple it’s not a problem.
If you use it on boost power all the time the battery won’t last longer than 15 mins. I have hard flooring downstairs and use the ordinary mode and it will last for 30 mins.
Upstairs is fully carpeted and you need the boost mode but it’s plenty of time to clean all the rooms.
I would have given it 5 stars but for the battery time.
It is easily manoeuvrable and lightweight, very well made and robust.
This device gives me freedom to do any hoovering job done anywhere I want it in my house. Very neat and lightweight design.
Brilliant suction on the carpet and very light weight. So easy to put together. Love my new hoover!!
Compared to an equivalent product from Dyson, this is cheaper and you can easily change the batteries, therefore extending the time you can use it for without having to stop to recharge, and after a couple of years when the batteries get knackered you can easily replace them with new ones, unlike Dyson, which is built in.
The only disadvantage I can find is that the container is quite messy to empty compared to the Dyson equivalent.
Suction power is about the same.
Very lightweight and quiet. Interchangeable tools fit easily. Excellent for general house, stairs and car.
Excellent product. Far superior to my old cordless, better suction, longer charge.
bought one when the price was down to 199 so this is great for value.
works great for my hard floor and btw, i have long hair and a cat;
to vacuum a two-bedroom flat, it didn’t take 30 min, so didn’t even need to use a spare battery.
love everything about it;
lovely design, so quite (under normal mode) and great suction (for my use)
Very good for a quick clean around the house daily. Better than a electric carpet sweeper. But l still need my corded vacuum for more deep cleaning twice a month.
This item was bought to replace my dyson cordless animal stick vacuum. Its very nice but heavier and not as powerful as the dyson but I guess I will get used to it. I hate the fact that this can’t be charged whilst its in its holder, it has to be propped up of laid down to charge which is a nuisance . The reason my dyson needed replacement was it fell over and cracked the battery housing, so I’m being very vigilant with this expensive replacement.
Great compact unit, love the extra power boost through the turbo butto
This is my first foray into cordless vacuums and I am rather impressed. It’s lightweight, has great suction and plenty of battery life for our large one bed flat.
Although quite small in the hand, it has a surprising amount of suction power and storage. The vacuum packs everything in so you get a compressed bale of stuff to chuck in the bin. It’ll do easily a couple of weeks of cleaning (including the hamster chucking sawdust everywhere) before needing emptying. Even that is a doddle, just open and tip out. The filter is removable too for a good shake and clean.
It comes with two batteries, each as a few hours of life in it. To charge you connect the cable to the base of the unit which then charges the battery. It does mean it’s out of action for the few hours of charge, but I think they want you to use the included wall mount to charge when not in use.
It comes with a motorised brush attachment for doing the floor, the rotating brush in the bottom picks up loads of stuff that a suction powered one wouldn’t. It does mean it inevitably gets tangled up with hair and other stuff, but it can be removed for cleaning too.
There are two power modes, normal and turbo – which kicks everything up a notch. Very good to pick up stubborn or ground in dirt. There is a trigger handle to activate which includes a lock down mechanism to keep it on. This is very handy, but the way the handle is designed means you can’t use your index finger to hold the handle fully as will disengage the mechanism. That’s my only gripe really, otherwise I highly recommend.
This cordless vac is quicker to get out and quieter than our previous corded one. The battery lasts surprisingly long even on high power you can cover a large area before recharging. Only a couple of times in the last couple of months I’ve needed to use the second battery included
It arrived in a big box with the Bosch Box inside. It was easy to put together and tool all of 15 minutes. No need to consult the manual. I am an 82 year old granny so if I can do it anyone can. I put on the the batteries on charge on my kitchen worktop using the hand held part of the Vacuum only. I didn’t time it. I was binging on a TV box set. When I took a break from TV the battery was charged up so set to trying out my VAC. I have to say normal suction is very good and boost is amazing. Better than my Dyson upright. It glides around and under the furniture with ease and doing the stairs is a blast. My only crib is that only the long flexible attachment fits on to the Vac, the other three do not and are useless!!!!!! I would appreciate if Bosch would send me some that do click on as the flexible one does. If I had known that in the first place I would have purchased a different brand that also caught my attention. Bosch what were you thinking?
Otherwise I love this cordless Vac and to me is an absolute godsend not having to lug a big corded Vac up and down and around my house.
I have reviewed quite a few rechargeable vacuum cleaners from all sorts of manufacturers over the last few years we have two children and a very young dog and having access to a reliable vacuum cleaner quickly is needless to say important This is undoubtedly the best model that I’ve reviewed. The mechanism is very powerful with an easy-to-use and very useful turbo function which gives extra cleaning power when needed and is under your thumb. The charger is very easy to use and provides you with the charged powerpack always to hand; these power packs are also compatible with other Bosch tools. Construction is lightweight and logical, and most important to me emptying cleaning and replacing the dust bag is easy and reliable. I’ve had too many of these simply stop working as soon as you try to clear the filter or put them back together. A great family/household essential from a great brand.
This Bosch vacuum comes with charging wall unit which also allows some of the tools to be stored. Supplied with an extra battery for those major vacuuming jobs. The main floor attachment has motorised brushes so works well on all floor surfaces. There is a boost button to give added suction. Have used this setting most of the time to ensure a good result. Emptying and cleaning the unit is easy.
Very little assembly out of the box is always a good thing with a cleaner. This has two batteries with it – and it really needs them. This was tested as the main cleaner in my three-bed bungalow. It is very lightweight, very compact, and easy to manoeuvre. However, this does not do a good enough job of picking up dog fur or parrot feathers. The suction just isn’t powerful enough for it to be my main cleaner, I’m needing three or four passes on the turbo setting to get things looking halfway clean, and I need both batteries to finish the house. As you can only charge the batteries on the unit and not separately, you have to plug it in with one battery to charge, then remember to swap and charge the second battery once the first has charged. Lastly, it really is a total pain to empty. Like an Escher puzzle designed to frustrate. My male best friend looked at it, shook his head and declared that it had been “designed by a man who never cleaned a floor in his life.” As a handheld, it’s OK, picked up some reasonably chunky particles, has nice gadgets to get into edges or up to cobweb clear and dust.
As a spot cleaner, or for a small space without pets or kids, this would be fine. If you have other Bosch tools that use these batteries and a second way of charging, it would be OK. With pets or Kids, the suction isn’t going to cut it.
I really love this BOSCH cordless vacuum! It’s sleek in appearance, completely matches my kitchen. It lays flat to really get under hard to reach spaces, and all the attachments make it easy to into those little nooks and crannies! The battery life is exceptional and an option for turbo boost to enhance suction is a real plus. A tiny bit fiddly to empty the canister. Also, I took off one star because as you can see there’s no room for all the attachments on the wall base 🙁 I would have liked all the attachments to be able to be stored right with the vacuum. All in all I highly recommend and don’t know how I ever managed without it! Great value for money!
I was excited to try this vacuum having been a Dyson fan normally.
It comes well packaged with 2 batteries. The batteries aren’t charged upon delivery so they’ll need charging when it arrives. The batteries need to be charged whilst docked into the vacuum itself. I would prefer it if it had the option of charging separately too which my husband tells me is possible if you buy the charger separately as it’s the same battery for his drill.
It comes with a docking mount which I’ve mounted inside my cupboard under the stairs. The charger wire isn’t very long, just over a metre. It’s a bit fiddly to plug the charger into the mount and the instructions aren’t great but I got there in the end.
It comes with different attachments : a long one for carpets and floors, a flexible hose type one, a mattress one and an upholstery one. It’s also good that when you detach all the attachments it leaves just a little one on the end which stays all the time which is useful for small areas / small handheld vac.
The suction I wasn’t overly impressed with and that’s why I gave it 4 stars. For over 300, I did expect more from the suction. There is an option for turbo though which I keep it on the whole time. Having 2 batteries, it’s ok because as long as they’re both charged then you can leave it on turbo.
If I was to choose between this and the dyson I would still choose dyson, however this is slightly cheaper and so would still do the job if you wanted a convenient, cordless vacuum.
This is pretty much perfect for us. Good suction with all accessories (although we usually have to press the “boost” button”), light to carry, a powered floor brush, relatively standard batteries (we have other Bosch 18v power tools) all add up to an easy five-stars from us. We especially like the flexible small-space nozzle, which makes cleaning behind radiators and under white goods feasible, and the mattress nozzle which has a really good suck and also works well on other furnishings. The dust can is maybe a bit small and will probably need cleaning out for each room. The filter is very thorough, although that also means it needs dismantling to empty.
That’s not to say there are no irritations. Despite having two batteries, there’s no way to charge the second since all charging is via the vacuum. Fortunately he have a charger from our other tools but you might not be in that position. The charging port is a two-pole hollow pin and looks vulnerable to me, although when mounted in the docking base it ought to be sufficiently protected. The charging base is only suitable for wall mounting, and hasn’t been designed to stand in a cupboard or on a shelf. There isn’t storage for all the tools, so we’ve assigned a garden trug to hold everything.
All those irritations could be easily fixed by Bosch – I hope they do – but don’t stop this vacuum being a “B” to those other people who moved their HQ to Singapore’s “D”.
Of all the vacuum cleaners we have tried over the years this model is the best yet. Why? Simply because unlike other cordless models we’ve had it is a lot less of a slog to use (easy in fact). It is noticeably more lightweight to use than others and yet is no less effective. Suction is good and the accessories work well (particularly the very useful feel edible crevice tool). It’s also noticeably quieter than previous models we’ve had (not that the dog has seemed to notice!).
Handily it comes with two batteries (which are also compatible with other Bosch products) and they are easily fitted and removed. The whole unit needs to be plugged in to charge, but fortunately you don’t have to wall mount the vacuum in order to do this (though here is a wall fitting kit supplied should you want to).
Run time is pretty quick on the max/’boost’ setting (maybe ten minutes or so) so it’s just a well there’s a back up battery. It works well on all floor surfaces, and even on medium pile carpeting it didn’t feel ungainly and as if I was dragging it around against its will. The brush head is powered via the suction provided but seems to work well enough. The dust collector is not huge so needs to be emptied more often (though this is easy to do and managed cleanly). it seems there may have been a couple of design compromises made (e.g. smaller capacity dust collector, shorter run time/battery capacity) to keep the bulk and weight of the unit down but this seems to be a sensible trade-off making the unit almost a pleasure to use without reducing its effectiveness as a cleaner.
Finally, though perhaps not a priority, it’s a nice-looking vac (one of the nicest I’ve seen).
In conclusion this is a great product: practical, effective and sensibly priced (given Bosch’s reputation for quality and reliability also – which I can vouch for).
Recommended.
This nice looking cordless vacuum has a lot of good points and one or two bad ones.
The Good:
Being lightweight it is a joy to use, especially on hard floors and normal carpets
The Bad:
On long pile carpets it becomes more ‘heavy’ to use
The Good:
It comes with two batteries
The Bad:
But to charge them they need to be in the machine and not in a separate charger – strange that
The Good:
Nice balance when holding and using the full length pipe
The Bad:
When using the unit without the long pipe, such as on the stairs, after a shot time it becomes a strain to hold and becomes uncomfortable in the hand
The Good:
Small dust holder that is easy to empty
The Bad:
Small dust holder – doing a relatively clean room still needs the dust holder to be emptied at least twice
OK that’s all the bad and some good, now just the good.
The actual design is lovely. It does a really good job and is simple to use. The suction is powerful enough to surprise anyone who has never used one of these cordless ones before – I was very pleasantly surprised. Having another Bosch 18v unit (garden strimmer) makes it even more useful.
The motor is fairly quiet and does not irritate like some vacuums. We have tried a couple of these cordless vacuums and this is pretty good, although not as good or well designed (IMO) as say the Dyson, but then again the Dyson is more expensive.
In use it does a very good job and the battery life is very good indeed, especially as you get the spare battery – incidentally changing the battery only takes a few seconds and is very straightforward indeed. So value for money is acceptable at 4/5 and suction power is also very good and comes in at 4.5/5.
All in all a worthy vacuum from a trusted manufacturer.
First off it’s a Bosch so a good pedigree as all this brand items I have brought in the past, none have let me down. It comes in a sensible sized box instead of some manufacturers keen to have their minute sized item in a big box. Once out the box, a cursory look over the instructions – being Bosch they are clear and precise – then check to see if all the bits are there, and yep – full house then!. Being what it is, it’s light very and practicable with three attachments that fit well as in ‘snug as bug in a rug’ as opposed to some being sloppy in fit but not here. The long pole or the longest part I should say gives this vacuum a lot of scope in being able to get into corners without having to move the furniture about. It comes with two (2) batteries so we use one but keep the other charged if needed. So far, we have used this as we would our other similar, different brand, cleaner in doing the same sort of work over the same area but so far it has not run out of charge while in use – impressive. There is a turbo-button feature but so far we have not had to use it – we must be living cleaner lives then!. The attachments are easy to change over and overall it does its job well on all surfaces, even down to picking up elusive pet hairs. Emptying it is quite easy and fuss free and does not require replacement bags or what have you so that is an ongoing expense saved. Its worth noting that these 18 volt battery packs are compatible with a whole range of other Bosch branded devices which is handy as I am about to upgrade my drill, so no guesses as to what make I will be choosing.. Initially it took around about two hours to change each battery up and as pointed out, they seem to last well on a charge but of course no two people’s usage is the same. It comes with a two (2) year warranty so it shows they have faith in their product. Overall it cleans well as it implies but my only minor gripe is the price at over 300 (reviewed early November 2019) as it might put people off but then again it is a Bosch and so good quality and considering the 2 year warranty, perhaps I may be bickering but based on the product and what it does or is capable of doing, I give it 5 Stars.
Simply wonderful ,light weight.Excellent suction vacuum. It Works well on the carpet as well as the hard floor.
extremely easy to clean the vacuum cup and it is very versatile for overall usage.
Only bad thing is the price point over 300 quid is a bit too expensive for me for a vacuum cleaner ,nut it comes with a spare battery for and lot of accessories so may be a good deal.
I would definitely recommend about how easy it is to use.
Light weight: 10/10
Suction: 10/10
Battery capacity: 10/10
Prize: 7/10
This cordless cleaner is absolute quality. Very easy to construct by clicking in tubes and accessories and with 2 chargeable battery packs, you can always be ready to hoover. The cleaner is so light it is crazy and so easy to guide across the floor or lift to the ceiling for cobwebs. Simple attachable accessories make it easy to lock in and clean upholstery, beds and the car. There is a standard clean and also turbo for a deeper clean. Easy to empty but just beware of removing hairs that may get tangled in the brush.
This vacuum is much quieter than any other cordless I have had and much quieter than my Dyson v6 and the best thing about this is that it comes with two batteries and they can be charged independently of each other and can even be used in other Bosch products such as cordless drills. This vacuum is really light too and will never go back to any other cordless as this makes you want to vacuum with its smooth gliding wheels it is a joy to use.
An expensive alternative to the cordless vacuum range. The price stunned me when I first came across this model. I thought it must be good then..
How Does it Perform?
Lightweight, slides across our stone floors and wool carpets with ease. Though there is a bit more than it can chew on our wool, which always sheds. The unit manoeuvres around tight corners well and picks up embedded fluff and pet hair superbly.
Critique:
Of course, being a cordless vacuum, i often find that the dirt canister is too small and will fill quickly. Personally, this is the perfect sidekick to my main unit as it quickly and effortlessly does away with an array of accidents, kids’ mess and ‘tumble-weeding’ longhaired cat fur across the hard floors. Tasks that are simple and area specific for which, taking out a larger, corded machine too tedious.
A Helpful Tip:
If you buy this, it’s a good idea to buy the Bosch Multivolt charger, along with it, this charges the 18v batteries too .
As this vacuum is sold with two battery packs which have limited power compared to the larger mains powered alternatives. It’s always handy, to keep the backup battery pack charged and ready to go. Another very good charger that I am planning to buy is the Bosch 18v Quick 1-Hour Charger . There’s nothing worse than a vacuum running out of juice, mid-use. Trust me.
You know, I actually love that the 18V battery packs are interchangeable across a whole range of Bosch appliances; And with the addition of the separately purchased charger I can ensure I’m not left without power across all my cordless Bosch appliances.
I can quickly whip out the spare battery pack provided by this vacuum and pop it in my other appliances to continue on with my other DT/DIY projects!
I try to leave fair and honest reviews, as I myself, really appreciate a genuine review before I decide on my own purchases.

For an expensive cordless vacuum cleaner it has some gaping flaws that don’t warrant it’s high price.
For a start, despite having two battery packs, you actually have to attach them to the cleaner and the docking station in order to charge them! What’s that all about – surely a separate charger could have been supplied to charge the spare battery pack whist the other is in use? Seeing as they big-up the versatility of the battery pack and say that it can be used for many of their other cordless products, it’s ridiculous that if you want to charge the pack for a hedge trimmer or other garden tool, you have to attach it to the vacuum cleaner!!!
If you don’t have space near a plug for the docking station, don’t get this – unless you want to lay the whole thing on the floor which would be counter productive and untidy.
On the plus side, it’s lightweight, although a little top heavy as the motor is practically in your hand but, unfortunately, the switch, which is situated in the handle, isn’t a hold-down type but an on-and-off type so you have to be careful not to keep your finger on it when you’re using it or it will keep turning off. Most of these types of vacuum have a trigger switch to save power but this is an old skool on/off switch and you have to position your fingers awkwardly to avoid touching it whilst in use – another design fault or just something you have to get used to?
As for the suction, it’s good in the power-boost mode but if you use this for too long it will drain the battery in about five minutes. and the brush bar isn’t powered either – it just rotates by suction power and easily stops if you press too hard when you’re cleaning. The tools are good, especially the velvety one for doing upholstery but the crevice tool is a bit counter-productive as it’s too bendy – it would be better with a longer, more solid nozzle on the end of the flexible bit.
Altogether not too satisfied with this product – I expected better but if you haven’t had a re-chargeable cordless before, you’ll probably be happy with it as you won’t know the difference. It looks stylish and it’s a trustworthy brand but too many manufacturers are jumping on the Dyson bandwagon instead of inventing their own products and a lot of the time they don’t come up to scratch.

I last used a non mains vacuum cleaner around 9 years ago. It was supplied in a holiday let property and it was awful. No suction, took ages to charge and ran out of oomph very quickly. I’ve looked at many since, and although tempted by the positives (light weight, ease of use, improved suction) I’ve never been convinced.
So I was pleased to have the chance to try out this Bosch cordless. I tend to have confidence in German developed and produced products. They are noted for their high standards and in this case, it’s backed with a 2 year warranty. It’s not the cheapest available, but ultimately it’s a question of cost v performance. I’m happy to pay a reasonable price for something that does all it claims.
First impressions are excellent. The tubing is light as it’s aluminium and everything feels like it’s good quality. I unpacked all the bits and then followed the largely graphic line drawings to both put the unit to charge and build. There’s a real plus with this cleaner; it’s supplied with two batteries, so there’s a good chance if both are charged that any job undertaken can be completed without having to wait hours for a recharge. And the Bosch system is universal, so if you have other items like drills, screwdrivers etc in the Bosch rechargeable range, the battery pack is compatible. That’s a big bonus.
Charging was fast. I,plugged it in and there’s a clear white flashing light on the unit showing it’s charging. The flashing stops when it’s complete, which took just on 2 hours. There are different power settings and although I didn’t use the power zapping turbo for more than a couple of minutes, the unit performed well over some 20 minutes of use on carpet, solid floor and handheld for ceilings and furniture.
The main fitment for floors works very well on tiled floor and carpet. The head is very manoeuvrable and it’s incredibly light to work with. Because it was so easy, I almost thought it wasn’t really doing the job. I was wrong. It picks up animal hairs, general rubbish etc and even seems to lift the pile a bit on a short pile carpet.
Changing heads is a really simple twist and connect. Even with some grip issues, I found it easy. The brush head on the floor attachment can easily be removed with a simple click. I haven’t had a problem, but if the brush clogs with hair, it’s easy to remove and there’s even a thin slit along the length of the brush which allows a blade to be inserted to cut any collection of tangled hair. First time I’ve seen that feature; Bosch seem to have thought of everything.
The thin crevice tool is brilliant. Mostly, they’re made from rigid plastic. This is constructed from a strong but pliable ridged rubber. It bends, so you can not only get down the back of things, you can then angle it under to really awkward corners. Best I’ve used in some 30 years of different vacuum cleaners. It makes cleaning down the side and under car seats an absolute doddle.
The dust collector isn’t the largest…but if this is used regularly, there’s no need and emptying the device is amazingly dust free. I hate tipping the content into a bin and having to hold my breath to ensure I don’t breathe in clouds of dust. That didn’t happen with this; it’s sort of compressed and clean to dispose of. No need to buy filters or bags, so no additional ongoing expense.
And the greatest delight? It’s almost weightless. Cleaning ceilings and above body height is almost a joy. The handheld unit is so light, there are no trailing leads to manage and it’s really effective. I have limited mobility and this is the lightest and easiest to use cleaner ever. I’ve had Henry’s, Hoovers, Dysons, Vax, Bissell and others over many years. This beats them all and then some. Worth every penny and I’m a cordless convert.
I’ve never really thought much about the cordless vacuum. Without the power of a corded then they will never perform the same. So I’ve jumped at the chance to try this one out from Bosch. Obviously they are a big name brand and a market leader for their tools. So they surely must be able to do a hoover well.
They have.
I’m converted. First of all. The thing I noticed was how lightweight it is. There’s nothing to it. It’s so mobile. It comes with two batteries. There is a fault with this however. The battery must be plugged into the hoover to charge. So you can’t charge one while the other is being used. A design flaw. As you can see by my pictures there are several attachments and they all fit together nicely on the storage holder. You can see how they fit. Hanging the storage holder is super simple. But make sure you do that near a plug socket or you’re going to struggle to charge the hoover when it’s idle on the wall.
The foot attachments comes with a spinning brush inside to pick up all the hairs etc so it would be good for pet owners too. The other smaller attachments are for furniture and stairs.
Finally there is the boost function, for added power. I don’t use that when vaccuming the hardwood floor. But the carpet requires. It’s so much better than my Dyson. I can’t recommend this enough. Top marks. 5/5. Thank you.
