I took 1 star, since bin has bin delivered with dents. Amazon should sord out better packaging. Luckily not visible.

This is exactly the size of bin I wanted for my downstairs loo, so I’m pleased with it.. The pedal and soft close work very well. The disadvantage is that there’s no handle on the back, as the bigger bins have, for moving it about. If you use the correct bags, it could get expensive. I’d have liked it in pale blue.
Good quality bin with a nice, soft closing lid feature & a packet of 10 bin liners inside. Would work well in the bathroom or for a small kitchen bin. I ordered five & they were all packaged well & arrived in perfect condition. Quite expensive but I’m hoping they will be a good investment over time
First of all, I purchased this in ‘like new’ condition at a very good price – only 20 pound! And it was literally only opened and put back into the box by the previous customer so I highly recommend that you keep an eye on such offers.
As far as the bin is concerned, it is a great addition to anyone’s bathroom. So, if you are looking for a good quality bin or just something stylish to add to your bathroom, then I highly recommend one of these – and especially if you can buy a ‘like new’ second hand on.

A good quality bin, nice and sturdy.
Seen a few reviews of people complaining about the lid going up too fast and hitting the wall but don’t seem to have this issue. Maybe just don’t press your foot on it so hard? Or move it away from the wall a little?
Anyway, a tad expensive but really well built and will last, unlike some bathroom bins which can look flimsy and brittle. You get what you pay for and overall happy with this item.

If you don’t like a huge bin in your kitchen, then this is perfect. Is matte in colour and so easy to clean. I use Tesco bin bags and they fit perfectly. Bin has a soft close also which I love. All components are excellent quality. Definitely recommend.
I like the brand for homeware as I find it reliable and of good quality. This is no exception: lid closes slowly, simple yet elegant design, easy to use and looks like it will last.

I’m really happy I spent the money on getting a Brabantia over other options. It’s a good size and the bin bags are super easy to fit and don’t hang all over the outside. The brushed steel is a really attractive option and doesnt show fingerprints. It’s pretty sturdy, but will dent as we found out when my partner dropped her mobile phone on it! Still I will likely buy Branbantia bins again so they’re getting it right although I do feel they are a little expensive.

We bought this for our daughter, who managed to dent it within a week. I managed to push the dent out from inside, but it still shows a little.
So – great lid function, easy to change sacks, easy to keep clean, but fragile.
Excellent bin was worried too small but perfect works v well and love the colour ! Just must remember not to ram the bin full !!
Perfect size for a bathroom bin.
It’s not cheap but we’ve got this one’s big sister in the kitchen and it’s bombproof. Hopefully this one will give us as long service.
It’s so little, but turned out perfect for the bathroom. The lid does seem to mark, but not from fingerprints, and buffs out with a dry cloth.

Brabantia are a good make and this is a good bin … and it matches our bathroom tiles. Probably could have got a cheaper one but our previous Brabantia lasted 20 years (and still going – just wanted a new one)

This is a beautifully designed pedal bin and the workmanship is superb. And it looks great! I was delighted to find that, unlike most, it was not made in China, but in Belgium. Sorry to see, however, that the Brabantia bags, kindly included in the parcel, were made in China.
I really like this bin. It looks nice, it’s sturdy and good quality. I needed a small bin for our downstairs loo, as we had a big party coming up with lots of female guests, so I wanted a discreet bin with a lid, that I could put in there for anyone who needed it. It was perfect and fitted comfortably under the sink. I find it easy to change the liner and easy to wipe clean. If I ever needed more small bins, I would go for one of these.
The huge 60L Brabantia was so poorly packaged and as others had experienced arrived dented. Even if it wasn’t dented it was a bit of a beast and wasn’t all that aesthetically pleasing in my kitchen. So that went straight back! The 36L was a better size but looks/design was still wasn’t doing anything for me and seemed too small, even though the capacity was almost double the 20L I ended up buying. They just weren’t for me.
Next I opted for the tall Joseph Joseph bins that retail for about 170. I got it on Prime Day and when it arrived I absolutely loved it. It was too tall for where I’d planned to put it but I would have kept it and put it elsewhere but the drawers were so small it was ridiculous. Especially when the food caddy was fitted so that went back.
I never thought I would buy a 20L bin as a kitchen bin as I would have said it was far too small. On Prime Day they were on offer at 42 and in a colour that I thought would look lovely in my kitchen so I bought two, intending to use one for recycling. Packaging was so much better than the large Brabantia bins and they somehow feel sturdier and stronger so that they wouldn’t dent anyway. They don’t slip and slide across the floor, close slowly and silently and I never ever in a million years though a bin would bring me so much joy! Has an inner bin that is easy to remove and give a quick wipe with an antibacterial wipe if needs be and which makes it easy to insert the bin liners and line the tine handles up so it’s not a messy job.
They are so much better than the 36L and 60L rectangular Brabantia pedal bins and although we haven’t bothered using the second one for recycling, we kept it anyway and just have two smaller bins in the kitchen. Seems to be working really well for us and most people assume one of them is for recycling. I love the Brabantia Size Y bags that are designed for the bin, although they are quite difficult to source. Eventually managed to find them on here for 6.50 for 20. It’s expensive, but to be honest they make life that much easier when emptying the bin it doesn’t feel like a hassle or a chore anymore so I’m happy to pay for the ease and convenience and the fact they stop the bin from getting sticky and generally filthy inside. I would highly recommend these bins. I’m sure they will last us for years to come, but when they do eventually need replacing I will buy again.
I don’t think you can beat a Brabantia bin. I just wish they were cheaper!
I now have three of these, which are good looking and solid things in white. Pedal action is fine and it does what it’s supposed to.

Great bin, just what every kitchen needs. The foot operated pedal works a treat and the plastic container comes out easily when changing your bin bag, you don’t need to pay for specialist bags, the 50Ltr swing bin bags fit perfectly and no smells from this bin.(I recommend the stringer bin bags so they don’t split) Do be weary to not have it too close to the wall or cupboards as when you open it could scratch the metal on the bin as other reviewers have eluded to. Great bin, hope it lasts well. It certainly stands out in the kitchen and is a good height too. Worth paying that bit extra for as I replaced a previous bin with this model and wish I had done it earlier. Worth splashing out on for a quality product.

I love good makes and quality means you don’t need to throw them out within a few years use. Brabantia are known for their quality and I decided to purchase one for the bathroom. I didn’t check the dimensions properly and what arrived was a tiny bin. I decided to just put it in our downstairs loo and buy another larger size for the upstairs. Lovely bins but the larger one arrived with a small scratch on the lid. Disappointed by Amazon for letting this happen but I decided not to return just as I couldn’t be bothered with the hassle. It’s only tiny so you hardly notice the scratch. Suits our bathroom and has a removable inner sturdy black bucket for easy disposal. Over all great bins.
This replaced our existing Brabantia bin that we’d had for over 10 years. Nice rounded lid as opposed to the flatter old style. It’s a slow close lid which is great – I didn’t realise how annoying the clang of the old lid was when it dropped down until I used the slow close version! The 30L seemed to be cheaper on Amazon than most other retailers. It came with a small pack of Brabantia bin liners too which was handy.
My only negative is that you don’t seem to be able to keep the lid up once you take your foot off the pedal like you could with the old one. This used to be quite handy at times.
It’s odd to love a bin but this one is a fabulous addition to our kitchen. I bought the Brabantia perect fit bags to go with it which are a great size and nothing shows outside of the bin.

New bin for the bathroom. It’s good to know that the bags will fit and fit correctly. The soft closing feature is a bonus. From experience, we know that Brabantia after sales is second to none.
As far as pedal bins go, this is probably as good as it gets.
I like the fact this bin won’t rust it’s easy to clean, I would’ve liked a bar on the inside to aid the inner lid drying once cleaned and a silver small bar on the exterior to aid lifting, otherwise I’m happy with this purchase.
I’ve always found Brabantia to be good quality and this is no exception. Comes with 5 bin bags too! Looks stylish and I think I’ll order another one for our other bathroom.
When you buy a ‘branded name’ you expect the best, and this is exactly what Brabantia is ~ love it.
Not the cheapest, but good quality. Buy the recommended Brabantia liners too, again expensive but good quality.

I could not face having a flimsy IKEA kitchen bin, nor was I prepared to pay 100 for one. After much dithering I bought this. Absolutely excellent. Get the bags too. They fit so well.
I didn’t imagine it would be so difficult to find a really good bin for my kitchen that looked nice, was the right size, well made and also had good functionality. Brabantia have come pretty close here.
Soft closing, check. Pedal operated, check. Stainless steel, check. Round shape, check. Removable inner bucket, check. I have a few minor niggles: they scratch quite easily, might be difficult to put up against a wall as the lid pushes backwards when opened, binbags don’t fit quite as easily as I’d hoped. Other than that, no complaints so far.
The main reason I’m dropping a star is because these bins are extremely expensive. But if they last 10 years as the guarantee would suggest then I’ll consider them well worth the money.

Nice paddle bin and solid matt colour. Smooth action to close and supplied with bin bags (although not many and seem to be a real pain to find right size!). Arrived well packaged and in general is a decent bin but due to size it fills up really quickly so wish I had purchased one that was slightly larger which I may now search for instead. Easy to wipe down and seems robust so other than size and bin bags I’d recommend

After I received my Brabantia bread bin I decided to purchase this matching rubbish bin. Very pleased with this. As there’s only me & I have a small kitchen it suits both aspects & I love the silent soft close mechanism.
Like the quiet closing lid, sturdiness and the colours is great. Not sure how easy it will be for cleaning. My arms are not long enough to reach the bottom.
Had my last Bribantia bin nearly 18 years ago which we still use for recycling, they are a little bit more expensive but worth every penny, also arrived very quickly
When I reach the end of my life, my last will and testament will read “please pour my ashes to the Red Brabantia bin that I bought online, for there cannot be a more perfect vessel to the afterlife crafted by mankind”. I can say this because it will outlast me. Plus it will be particularly appropriate that the smooth and slow descent of the soft close feature will ensure enough time for people to adequately say their goodbyes without feeling rushed.

Well a bin has only a big bag to replace the heart, although this 12litres one just fits inside the rubbish shute on the landing. I as impressed by the noiseless slow closure mechanism. Just what I needed under the kitchen counter and very stylish too.

The bin is very well made, smooth in operation and good to look at. Though it cost four times what its predecessor did, I’m certain that it will last more than four times as long and be an adornment while it does, so is also excellent value for money.

Replaced old stainless steel bin of similar size. This looks chic. Love the soft close lid. Easy to clean and less sensitive to marks than the stainless brushed steel one we had.

This would have had 5 stars but sadly the bin did arrive with a slight dint in the lid, but due to where it is placed, you won’t notice, so did not send back. Overall the bin is very sturdy and absolutely love the colour and goes with the colour scheme in my room.
