Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this in 2017 and unfortunately it’s now been consigned to the scrapheap. The wind cup has been inaccurate for a while, probably due to dirt and dust getting into the bearing. Try as I might, I wasn’t able to clear it. Now, the outside temperature display on the console keeps showing “error” and although presssing reset does restore it, it’s only for a short while before going again. Therefore, I’ve binned it but I’ve enjoyed every minute of watching the temperature rise and fall over the years plus all of the other statistics. One more thing of note: this cost me 100 six years ago and now it’s selling for 84!

We haven’t had this very long, but so far we’re very pleased with it. It was a bit fiddly to attach to the fence post at the back of our garden, but that wasn’t the fault of the equipment. The spirit level on top is very helpful. Setting up the link to the control panel was fairly seamless and it’s been displaying perfectly ever since. Really pleased.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersWhen I got this I had a hell of a time trying to get it to work. I changed batteries and tried pairing as per the instruction manual and it would not work.

It only started working after I got the proper I structures from the manufacturers helpline.

ONLY use Lithium AA batteries do not use rechargeable batteries as these do not have the correct voltage to allow this to work.

Ensure both sensor and base station have been powered down for at least 5 mins before setting up base station. Wait for beep and temperature to appear then put batteries into the outdoor sensor and press and hold the reset button underneath for 10 seconds immediately followed by the scan button on the back of the base station. You should receive data at that point you can set time and date then install the sensor outside.

    Good luck.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGenerally really good bit of kit, easy to install onto any standard or cranked aerial pole.
Only gripe is that regardless of whether you deactivate the daylight saving setting the clock changes after a few hours of use, seems to think it’s on BST no matter what I try to tell it otherwise.
Loads of weather information provided in a clear and simple fashion, just the annoying non -clock that lets it dow

This is the best weather station I’ve ever owned. It’s German. Much better than the American ones I’ve owned in the past. Very easy to install and set up, only took about 20 to 30 minutes. Has given very accurate readings since set up. Very happy with this product.

Great weather station but a bit fiddly to position, as it comes with a square pole. It would be much easier if it came with a round pole, so that you could adjust it to face North as it says to do.
But overall, it’s clear, easy to read and accurate.

Which turns out to be a vest improvement, even though it was over 30 less.

Setting up was as simple as simple can be. The comprehensive instructions were easy to follow and understand – quite novel in these days of bad translations – and the unit was out the box and set up in just a couple of minutes

In use it is both easy to read/understand and very accurate. It shows all you could possibly need, even to the extent of giving the high and low readings at a touch of a button.

Both units need 3 x AA batteries each and suggest you use good quality ones – for me it is always Duracell. The batteries should last for ages (possibly 2/3/4 years) if my experience of these weather stations is anything to go by.

All in all, so far I am extremely impressed and can happily recommend it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersVery well manufactured, instructions concise ,display very clear and
portable. Took me a while to understand the radio controlled clock signal that kept reverting to
European standard time. In the U.K. i had to disable this function as it reverts twice a day . All o.k. now. Wi fi signal from outside unit is exceptional ,mine is about 60 feet from my home ,they claim it will work from 300 metres. Very pleased indeed with my station.

    Simple to install, well made.

Very pleased with this weather station, easy to fit and read. Lots of information such as barometric, rainfall, wind speed and direction as well as temp etc. History is interesting feature. It does mean the instruction leaflet is large and detailed.

Bought for my son 4 months ago to replace one from Maplins which, after 8 years, had failed where batteries in the outdoor unit only lasted a day or two. This seems to be a good replacement. Easy to install and set up.

Looks the part, does the job!

Easy to set up and install. Weather has been very calm since installation so not seen too much of the anemometer readings – just need to make sure it is set up out in the open to catch the wind.

Very satisfied with this particular model and would recommend it to anybody who has an interest in this topic . It is very easy to read and it is constantly updated and, for gardeners, it has an ice-alarm which is very useful.

Records all the variables as advertised, but the screen is a little cluttered.

Also the time function keeps reverting to CET, even if you turn off the auto-update.

Nice piece of kit – works well. Read the instructions several times – although they are well written, it is easy to miss something. As it is German (works to DCF Frankfurt), the offset needs to be set to -01hr to show the correct time in the UK – this seems to cause confusion to some users – also the radio clock signal does not reactivate after resetting the time until the clock time shows 2:05. Make sure the RCC is reset to ON after changing the time, and the DST is set to AUTO, and then leave clock to run.

I am very pleased with this weather station. It was easy to set up and it covers all the aspects of the weather I wanted, with options as to how the information is displayed. This was a replacement for an existing weather station which would have been more expensive to replace and gives less information.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI bought this to replace a previous weather station that got damaged in a storm, so opted for a slight upgrade. As a weather station it is very nice and provides lots of useful information. Installation was pretty straight forward and the data seems accurate. On the whole I’d say I’m very happy, but there are a couple of minor issues.
    1. The display is not the easiest to read. Some of the text is VERY small and with my ‘middle aged eyesight’ I struggle to see it clearly.
    2. The manual is not well put together. Finding what you need to know is quite a trial and the parts list has several items labelled with the same number. This became an issue for me when the remote sensor lost communication with the base station. I had to reset both the base station and the sensor but it was not easy to find out how to do this. Once the relevant section of the manual had been found, it was not well explained and a couple of pictures would have been useful.

Easy to set up and use. I had seen comments that the automatic time does not work in the UK, but it does. Simply set the time zone offset to -1 and get it to auto sync the time from the German transmitter. Installed mine just in time to record 32mm of rain! My only criticism is the mounting bracket. You have to point the unit to the North to get accurte wind direction. You cannot easliy do this on an existing fence post for instance, unless it happens to have one side pointing due North or South. I had to install a dedicated pole to allow easier alignment.

Downside is the display letters and numbers are not sharp but readable.
Set up for a week now and all seems good.

Replaced a Maplin’s unit from 6 years ago that wore out. Has most of the weather readings you need, plus a history feature.. a button – each time you press it gives the reading from a previous hour, a max min feature, holds the two extremes of readings so you can check warmest, coldest etc… solid construction for outside unit (wire free), works fine mounted on an outbuilding at least 100ft away from indoor unit. All good so far.

This is a superb weather station and is extremely accurate in its forecast, my only concern is it will not stay on GMT Time but keeps reverting to BST, as yet not found an answer to that.
