The size of the halo fryer is very good, as a family for four adults we were able to air fry a meal in a short time.
To clean you just have to life out the fryer and clean, it even has a divider if you needed to fry more than one item.
I can go on about it, I have really enjoyed the product.

This is such a nice little oven (as air fryers really are a conventional oven) , i haven’t cooked a chicken in it yet though will do eventually. However having cooked chicken nuggets, sausages, hash browns and even sausage rolls.
Even oven chips taste better though found that the iceland maris piper chunky chips taste the best.
If your sitting on the fence about getting one, i would seriously suggest it!
Have had loads of other air fryers before but best so fa
Takes a little getting used to. Best so far is cooked dinner in around 40 mins. Chicken crown in 1st followed by Aunt Bessie’s roast pots 18mins from end. A recipe book is a must and be good to have a thermometer.
Managed to pick this up on Black Friday for almost 75% off which made it to difficult to resist. Glad I did, it’s amazing. Enough space in the basket to cook a whole joint of pork/beef/ or a whole chicken with ease and in half the time an oven takes. They all came out perfectly. Chips and Jacket potatoes come out perfectly, crispy skin but fluffy on the inside. I wouldn’t be with out this now, even though I originally wanted a Ninja, this has more than exceeded my expectations for my first air fryer!
Many kitchen gadgets I have bought over the years are usually confined to a cupboard after a while. I can honestly say this will not be one of them.
Easy to use and really tasty results from chips to steaks and whole chickens. This machine is great!
Replace old halogen with this new air fryer digital . It’s very easy to use . Cooks very well . Tends to cook much quicker than instruction on food products. Food tastes fantastic.
The air fryer is very easy to use and clean, with the different options for products it makes it very easy to proper some veggies to roast in no time so it saves a lot of time if you have to prep for a meal. Also really easy to clean once used. Would definitely recommend to have in the kitchen.
I love my Air fryer & have cooked all sorts of food in it from Chip, chicken nuggets all the way to pie’s, looking forward to trying a whole chicken when I get a chance.

This countertop mini oven is a blessing in disguise. Easy to use, easy on the eye, fully digital, fast, efficient etc I could go on forever.
Took me a few days to get my head around this but for ease of use and excellent on point cooking it doesn’t let me down.
This replaced a halogen oven which has been a joy to use if I’m honest but which is now old, past it’s best and can be limited by size.
In respect of size this little beauty is limited also and sits on the expensive side so I’ve taken away one star. In every other respect it cooks with aplomb, perfectly succulent sausages, chicken with a crisp skin and juicy meat, beautiful crispy yet fluffy chips.. it fair delivers.
It does everything your oven does but better and quicker and if there’s only me of you wanting that crispy bacon and sausage sandwich delivers in minutes while ur big oven would still be heating up to temp.
The racks trays and bits and pieces provided with oven all bob nicely into the dishwasher and are easy to clean by hand also. The rotisserie is an added bonus which provides crisp evenly cooked chips every time
Once you have chosen your setting for item to cook either preset or manually you press the go button and every item on every self cooks evenly and quickly, the oven due to its size heats up in minutes which has got to be economical.
I now use this everyday and highly recommend. Haven’t tried cakes etc but get the feeling with Christmas around the corner it’s going to be tested. Buy with confidence this is a great kitchen additio
This is my second air fryer. Bigger and rotisserie function. Great stuff. What let’s it down….. You would expect auto settings to do it all for you, but.. burned chips, Extreme Very well done steak. Taking this into mind and remembering settings from the previous air fryer easily adjusted each time to get it right. Loving the rotisserie, super flavoursome chicken.
The old style lasted me 10 years, only time will tell but seems very good large but very good
Having been very disappointed by a previous air fryer I decided to try once more and I’m so glad I did!
Great taste, wedges/chips crispy on outside and fluffy on inside, meat cooked to perfection. Very easy to operate and clean.
***TIP***
Although it doesn’t state to preheat apart from first use, if you run for about 12 mins at 200* before putting food in to cook you will get perfectly cooked food
An excellent gadget for the kitchen. I have used this to make amazing chips and have also done a rotisserie chicken, all really easily and with so little fuss. Takes up quite a lot of room, but can be stored in a cupboard when not in use.
I think it’s really good value for money! As a veggie it cooks almost anything and everything veggie in a fraction of the time our oven as rarely been on! It’s easy to use easy to clean and has halved our cooking time the food is well made crispy and tasty really happy about i

This air fryer is amazing and it has transformed our cooking in many ways.
First of all, the size. A bit like the size of a large bread bin/bread maker/square deep fat fryer sat on your counter top. Not tiny but not overly large either, especially if you are going to use it as a main oven.
The door is easy to open and very light. The digital panel is easy to understand and easy to use.
Unlike a main oven this fryer gets to 200 degrees in less than 2 minutes so you can begin cooking instantly without having to pre heat the oven, very useful for a 4 year old granddaughter who is very hungry after school, I can have a meal ready in just over 10 minutes.
We have found that we have to adjust the cooking times as this fryer is so efficient that the food is ready ahead of the advised times. The food is cooked right through so you will have to work out the time that works for you, don’t leave it cooking until you know what your adjusted times are.
Air Frying is healthier as you only need a tiny bit of fat if you need any at all, think a couple of sprays.
The rotating mesh basket is fantastic for chips as it keeps the cooking even and prevents the chips sticking together. Slightly fiddly to put in as the have to push the ends in far enough to catch but when you have worked it out, it is easy going forward. I can honestly say these are the best chips I have ever tasted. This fryer leaves them evenly cooked and slightly crispy on the outside and soft potato on the inside, and they taste lovely because you can taste the potato rather than the “oven” or “oil” taste from oven chips or those done in a deep fat fryer.
The mesh shelves makes it easy to cook anything you would cook on a tray in an oven, such as fish fingers, Chicken pieces, salmon, pies, sausages etc are a few examples. The food is cooked evenly. A pan of roasted mixed vegetables came out lovely.
As everything is so lightweight I also don’t struggle to get food and the trays in or out of the fryer unlike the conventional oven due to medical issues with my hands and fingers.
All the shelves and baskets can easily be washed in the dishwasher.
We use this daily, barely use the conventional oven any more and certainly no longer use the deep fat fryer. I would certainly recommend this, it’s amazing.
had read reviews to this before buying and was not let down ..cooks upto a 1.2kg chook perfect..Jacket pots are awesome..roasties crispy and fluffy… the only minor quibble is because the door can be removed to clean it shifts off centre slightly and needs a little fettling to close while cooking.
We love it having a smaller kitchen this has been used so many times by all the family easy to use and keep clean the only down side is we’re putting on weight the food comes out so crispy and yummy. Lol . Ignore the negativity you won’t be disappointed

Great little addition the kitchen, can’t believe how much we use it, it has cut down time spent in the kitchen and mess as it’s easier to clean than lots of trays, also it’s straightforward to use love it.
I was really excited when I got this air fryer as I always wanted one. This one seemed a good idea as it looks like an oven.
There are things I like about it :
– easy to wash
– detachable doors
– can fit a whole chicken
– chicken comes out succulent and not dry
It comes with several trays meaning you can do few things in one go
– it is great to take with you camping
– you can warm up your ready food much faster than in conventional oven
Things I do not like :
– it is huge and takes up a lot of space
– the cable is extremely short (seems shorter than my toaster)
– it is a bit laud
– it has that chips basket , but it is very awkward to take the chips out when basket is still hot
– it has these preset settings but they are not really set well. Example: chips setting is set at 30 min but instructions shows 20-25 min (I’ve overdone mine this way and they were very dry and hard) .
That being said , it’s not perfect but it’s great
I would buy again and I would recommend
I hope my review and photos were helpful
Optimal size for frozen pizzas, the drum for french potatoes is a bit weird for 1st look, but in practice it works well.
This is a compact air fryer. It is big size 10l
But not too huge. It has plenty of room for a whole chicken or other big meal. Here are four functions: air fry, bake, rotisserie and dehydrate. You can get healthier good cooked without oil but still tastes good. I like to make chips with the fryer. A bit dry but still tasty. The looking is also nice. Black and grey makes it stylish. It is a good product for people who want health food with fried taste.
Bought to replace a smaller fryer. This is much better with more versatility and cooking options.
Still to try the rotisserie chicken setting. But am sure it’ll be good.
Really easy to use. Made great chips both frozen and from potatoes. Made meatballs stuffed with mozzarella and they cooked perfectly. I do find it a little difficult to take the drawer out to clean but I think it’s just practice. Very Happy with it. My sons got the same one and loves it too. Would recommend.

Comes well protected in a cardboard box. The air fryer is black in colour. It is quite large in size and looks of a really nice design. It comes with a handy and easy to follow instruction manual. With its large 10l cooking capacity its perfect for a family. Its control panel is straight forward and simple enough to use, controlling the cooking modes/functions, temperature and cooking time. The speed of which food is cooked is alot quicker than our oven. It cooks well and evenly, we actually get a basket of chips cooked at the same time, instead of the oven tray, where we’re still waiting for the ones in the middle to cook while the outside is burning. When you over the door whilst cooking, the countdown timer pauses, when you place it back in, it carries on from where it left off. You’re using alot less fat cooking, tan traditional frying methods, so a healthier way to cook. With its easy set buttons, you can choose what you’re cooking and use the preset modes of cooking temperature and time; chips, chicken, vegetables and meat. It comes with 3 air flow racks, 3.2l mesh basket, rotisserie spit and rotisserie fork. You’re able to cook a whole chicken inside using the rotisserie spit, giving a nice even cook. Not only does it rotisserie and airfry, you cab bake and even use it to dehydrate. We haven’t tried this function yet, but you could make your own dried fruit with ease. It’s easy and effortless to clean. The touch screen panel is easy to read and navigate. The fryer gives great cooking performance, you can literally cook anything in it, frozen foods, meat and even bake a cake. Not too loud when in use. Nice you dont get the strong fatty smell when cooking either. Absolutely love this, saves so much time when cooking. The possibilities of cooking in this seems to be endless. Perfect addition to your kitchen.
Overall great machine, but it looks like this model got a problem with tray sensors.
I couldn’t turn it on at the beginning as well as others.
There are two sensors on the left and right, to discover if the tray is fully inserted.
Simply put something between left or right edge, I use a knife or thin piece of metal so that doesn’t melt.
That it would hold the sensor and machine can be turned on.

Best purchase I’ve made in years, not sure why it’s called a fryer as that’s the one thing you don’t do with it, it’s essentially a mini oven, it cooks pretty much anything you would put in the over or frying pan, it cooks everything perfectly, cleanly and without any additional cooking oil, between it and the microwave I never have to use the cooker, highly recommended 11/10…
I ordered the Breville Halo Rotisserie Air Fryer | 10 Litre Digital Air Fryer Oven | 2000 W | Fry, Bake, Roast and Dehydrate | Black and Grey [VDF127].
My friends have raved about how good air fryers are, so thought that I would finally give it a good. I have a number of other breville items and have always found them to be a good brand. The air fryer is a nice matte black on the main body and then with a shiny black front. I like that you can air fry, rotisserie or dehydrate in this particular product, giving plenty of cooking options. The product is controlled by a digital touch screen on the front and an heat up very quickly to 200c. You can slide out the lower drip tray as well as remove the door and many of the accessories are dish washer safe.
The product is easy to clean and I really enjoy using it to cook food.
At the time of reviewing this product was priced at 130.00 which i think is reasonable price for this item.
I would recommend this product.
I couldn’t resist the little Xbox pun in the headline as someone who wasted may an hour playing Halo, the name of this Breville oven brought back memories. I’m pleased to report that much like that classic game, this compact oven is also great. It can pretty much do it all (except microwave and pressure cook!).
It certainly looks the part, with a good sized glass window so you can see what is going on. I love the rotisserie function, but you will need to ensure you are using a small chicken (I found around the 1.2Kg mark works the best) as the larger chickens tend to not fit. Because of that limitation, I think the “Feeds The Whole Family” claims may be a touch exaggerated as the 10 Litre capacity isn’t that large. I tend to use this as a supplementary oven/fryer in conjunction with my larger inbuilt oven. If you are single or a couple, it’s size would work much better, but for both markets, if you want roast veg alongside the chicken you’ll probably have to cook those separately.
Buttons are clear and I found logical and the cleaning of the internal compartments is easy enough. For the family market then, this is ideal as a secondary oven (if you have the worksurface space). It cooks really well and for me nothing beats a juicy rotisserie chicken!
Excellent versatile air fryer that’s easy to use and easy to clean.
We had old Breville halogen oven and I wanted the same or similar. They don’t produce anymore those old models (common sense) and We couldn’t decide what to buy .
Most of them are high prices with just draw and little space inside and probably u can’t cook
sausages and veg together or you can but put all in one draw ! Then we saw this towers and started to read specifications reviews for days and finally decided!!!
We know this one is ,pricewise, somewhere in the middle. Cheaper one we didn’t have enough trust to buy, expensive one are to expensive and we decided to stay with Breville brand because previous one we had for years and never let us down!
So it came in great package excellent condition.
Manual instructions are great, step by step.
It’s important to start empty machine so u can get rid of the manufacture smell .
It’s very very easy to do manually (1st meal was hallo fresh) and I needed Owen to cook sausages) and wow !
This is first day of usage and I’m positive to give good feedback and review and I’m sure I will update with time.
I followed advice to put foil on tray and make few holes for air circulation just because It will be easier to wash after, maybe not , I’ll need to try different things!
Sausages were perfectly cook on lower temperature.
For now 5 stars for everything
If this helps you let me know
Update after 5 days (today is Friday)
Wednesday evening when we started to cook fries again suddenly it stopped and showed E02 error and I read about it in here reviews and lady says off/on and start again. I’ve done that and two days no problem, although I went to chat here and they provided excellent service and offered me to replace item but if in next 10 days does the same .
We will monitor it and hopefully will not do that again if yes we will contact customer service again
An update after 2 weeks !: for now no problems regarding that error thing what we had on the beginning and since then works great and I can’t tell anything wrong just opposite!
If u decide to buy it you will be happy costumer like we are
Let me know if this helps!!
This review is for the Breville Halo Rotisserie Air Fryer | 10 Litre Digital Air Fryer Oven | 2000 W | Fry, Bake, Roast and Dehydrate | Black and Grey [VDF127]
This product arrived well packaged and on time. This is a nice and large air fryer. It is well made as expected from the Breville brand. I have now used this multiple times and it is simple to use and the food turns out lovely. I have made chips, a roast chicken and nuggets.. all delicious.
The device has a number of settings and a digital display that makes it simple to select the correct cooking setting. Personally I would recommend this air fryer it is really good!
I really like this. So far, I’ve only used it to do two things – rotisserie chicken and dehydrating apples.
On the dehydrating mode, it’s a bit like having a (quiet) hairdryer on for four hours. It does make a noise but the boys in our house love (dehydrated) apple slices and I can do this here without fear of burning them – when I use my oven, however low I set the temperature, they seem to catch and burn if I don’t watch them like a hawk. With the Breville, apple slices go in, press the button, within seconds it’s up to temperature, leave it running and then four hours later, they’re done perfectly. Sometimes, I take them out to shake and swap the trays around as the top shelf is most drying.
We did a rotisserie chicken too. I thought it was going to be too much of a faff but, actually, it was delicious. The handle to remove the chicken worked very well and I got it out without getting burnt. The top fixed ceiling mesh of the oven was all coated in caramelised chicken juices – the sort of thing usually found in a roasting tin to make gravy with. My heart sank as I thought that was it and the whole machine was ruined. Much to my delight, it wiped off without too much effort and came perfectly clean. Phew.
I think this would be a brilliant counter-top oven if you ever needed one. I think it’s great.
The oven arrived in a large colourful branded box with loads of images on the outside along with the oven specifications. The packing and packaging is very good with the main unit sandwiched between compressed cardboard and wrapped in a cellophane bag. The door was secured in place with tape with all the trays and rotary drum being protected with card inside.
First impressions: the oven is quite heavy and sits nice and solidly on a flat surface with four rubber feet on the bottom. The finish is a matt black with a glass front to the door and control panel, in my opinion this is a nice sleek design and easier to store or keep in place having a standard square shape unlike some similar devices.
After unpacking everything I washed all the removable parts and wiped down the inside of the over along with removing the detachable front door and wiping that down (this cannot be immersed in water). I had a good read through the manual and then switched on the oven for the first time. I heated the oven to 200c and set it for 15 minutes as per the instructions to eliminate any manufacturing residue. I thought the manual was good walking you through the setup and usage very well along with good linked diagrams for identification and usage. The touch screen is very responsive and lights up well with nice clear LED’s.
I first tried the oven out with some chips in the rotating mesh basket, I used peeled and cut potatoes rather than frozen chips and mixed them in a bowl with a teaspoon of olive oil before placing them in the basket. The rotisserie has a locating hole on the left of the oven and it locks into this slot before slotting in the right hand side, I found this was fairly easy to put in place. I did think the chips might need additional time to the time given by the pre-set for chips but they didn’t and came out perfect, removing the basket with the rotisserie handling fork. Removing items on the rotisserie is a reverse process to putting them in by remove the right hand side first at an angle. This sounds complicated but is actually very straight forward to do. I did find you have to be very careful releasing the catch on the rotating mesh basket due to it being very hot and I used a tea towel to do this.
I next tried out cooking a chicken on the rotisserie spit, I was impressed with the results and it cooked the chicken perfectly with the pre-set setting for chicken. Since these two tests I have cooked a multitude of different items such as fish, chicken wings, bacon and a small lamb joint in the oven using both the pre-set settings and the manual settings, and it has done a great job. I have no real experience of dehydrating food but did try this out with some tomatoes and it appeared to do a good job although I don’t really know how they should turn out.
Overall in my opinion this is a really good air fryer/oven, the rotating mesh basket and whole rotisserie system of this oven does a great job of cooking everything evenly and thoroughly. The touch screen is very responsive and not overly or unnecessarily complex. I like the look and design of the oven and everything is very easy to clean after use. I can’t really fault this as it has done a great job of cooking everything I have tried in it so have given top marks.
Lovely compact unit, very well made and easy to clean. It will take a 1.4 kg chicken comfortably on the rotisserie and on the chicken pre-set it cooks automatically to perfection leaving and skin crisp and a moist succulent tasty white meat. We have also done chicken thighs using air tray on the top position using the manual setting, again brilliant results. The basket cooks fries to perfection, so far very pleased with results and would certainly recommend this unit based on the results so far.

The buzz about these fast, low-fat cookers had passed me by, but I ordered the Breville Halo rotisserie air fryer after a friend told me they’re the latest best thing since sliced bread.
Out of the box Breville’s air fryer is a sombre black worktop gadget a bit bigger than a breadmaker and looks more like the next generation of grilling microwaves. It arrives with well-wrapped accessories like 3 dehydrating trays, an old school tombola or bingo style rotisserie basket, a rotisserie spindle, their coathanger style mounting handle, plus what I’ve taken to be the splash-catching tray for the bottom of the 10-litre cooking compartment.
The first and possibly only real negative is that the instruction manual supplied is really poor.
I followed the suggestion to wipe it out with a damp cloth and heat it to 200 degrees for 15 minutes to eliminate any residual factory odour. It was worth doing as there was a definite plasticky electrical smell for the first couple of minutes, which then disappeared.
I was impatient to try it, so I did a simple, chuck-it-in, mid-week meal of sausages and chips.
The best way to do chips, apparently, is in the rotisserie basket, but to do sausages as well I opted to put frozen chunky chips on two shelves and the sausages at the bottom, just above the drip tray.
I ended up doing a bit of shelf shuffling. In hindsight I should’ve put the sausages in first then cranked up the heat and added the chips. I did the chips on high heat first and ended up taking them out to let the sausages cook longer and lower.
As it was dinner for 3, I packed the chip shelves quite densely. I’d say, to make the best of the shelves, change their position from time to time. The chips on the top shelf cooked faster than those in the middle.
The oven chips were so much better than from a fan oven, lovely and crisp on the outside and fluffy in the middle, I can’t wait to try a rotisserie chicken.
I am very careful to make sure meat is properly cooked all the way through, and even from room temperature the sausages took longer than I thought they would.
I put the drip tray and the wire shelves into soak in hot soapy water whilst we ate, and they were a breeze to clean when we’d finished the meal.
It’s a hit for us as a family, but there are some things worth highlighting.
Speed is excellent. The empty Breville fryer heated up to 200 degrees in about 3 minutes. It took about 7 minutes with two trays of chips and a tray of sausages, but that’s still way quicker than our fan oven.
It’s a kitchen worktop gadget but maybe not for all worktops. There’s an air vent at the back, and even pulled forward 10 cm or so it made the splashback tiles hot, so it’s important not to push the fryer all the way back when it’s in use. The sides get quite warm, not too hot to touch but I wouldn’t locate it next to a fridge or freezer
It’s quite big so if you have limited worktop space and don’t use it daily you’ll need somewhere to store it.
The manual is very poor. Setup instructions are OK but there are only a very few cooking times/ideas and no information about dehydrating. At the end of the first pre-heat, error message E02 was displayed but there was nothing about it in the problem-solving table and I had to ask Google.
It’s a system error apparently. I just turned the air fryer off, then on again — my husband’s a computer geek and that’s his answer to everything — and it’s worked completely error free since.
At time of review the Breville Halo air fryer has a larger capacity and at 2000 W is more powerful than most on the market, so the 144.99 price tag seems a very good deal.
This is a really compact and versatile air fryer and rotisserie grill. It has an elegant design and doesn’t take up too much room on your kitchen counter. There are different options for cooking, there are three mesh grill trays that for into the slots in the side , like an oven. There’s is the frying basket , that fits into the rotisserie hole and the actual rotisserie rod and clamps for cooking chicken.
You have to wash all of the equipment in soapy water before first use and wipe over the inside of the housing with a damp cloth. You then need to dry everything and preheat the oven, when it has preheated you need to set the timer for 15 mins to burn off any chemicals before first use.
There are several preset options or you can opt for manual cooking. It’s actually really easy to use. I actually couldn’t wait to try the rotisserie and prepped my chicken. Worked out how to fit the rotisserie rod and clamp on the chicken ,only to realise my chicken was too big , you can only use small chickens between 1kg and 1.3kg
. You also have to make sure the left side is pushed into the hole in the oven and clicks into place, you can then slot the other end into the notch on the other side . You need to make sure the rod is fitted correctly or the mechanism for the rotisserie won’t be able to turn .
The frying basket works in the same way as the rotisserie, you need to ensure the left side has clicked into the hole and slot into the notch the right hand side. You need to lift the basket in and out using the arm provided. It gets easier to do with practice. The first time I made chips the basket didn’t turn automatically like it should, I hadn’t fitted it right , it’s harder to do with a hot basket and oven but not impossible. You also need to ensure the basket has cooled before opening. I found the basket fiddly to open too. The chips were lovely though, crispy on the outside and fluffy in the middle. I must admit to finding it easier cooking my chips in a traditional drawer air fryer though. The basket is quite fiddly to get in and out.
I also cooked chicken wings in the basket. The southern fried coating came off, it didn’t like being rotated in the basket, it tasted nice though even without too much of the coating left on. It’s trial and error with a machine like this. I would definitely cook chicken wings in it again though, they came out with crispy skin. I’m even getting used to the basket, although the locking mechanism is still fiddly to open.
I can’t wait to try the rotisserie with a small enough chicken. This now has pride of place on my kitchen counter. I think for the price it’s a very versatile cooking machine. Mine had a slight scratch across the door on arrival, hence the 4 star rating. Would recommend.
Worked brilliantly for first few weeks now randomly puts cook time up to 90 mins when it is a few mins from finishing. Other than that it cooks well & is easy to clea
Everyone knows Breville is a good name, a brand that never dissapoints you and this air fryer will live up to the brands good name.
This is a perfect air fryer for a couple or a single person, it does state a family of 4 on the product description but I guess this depends on what your using it for.
I love the basket in this, Ive .cooked chips in these (frozen) steak cut and skinny fries, amazing how much oil comes of these as i left the tray in there to save on mess.
For some reason every time my husband puts this basket in it rotates every time i put it in it’s stationery not that its a problem the chips cook the same either way.
Do not put hash browns in the basket they won’t make it out lol.
I’m still bruggling with the basket, removing it from the air fryer is fine it’s the opening of the clip, sure there is some easy way to do this, until you find a easier way to do this make sure you have good oven gloves.
i’ve done steak in this air dryer and my husbamd has said the steak was cooked to perfection every time.
The size of this air fryer is perfect, so compact and being square in shape it fits into most spaces.
Appears very well made, very easy to read instruction manual and very simple display touchscreen, shows the time left and has a good alert when your food is ready, so easy to clean much easier than a traditional basket air fryer.
Great value for money, you really do get your moneys worth, nice to look at, healthier cooking options, very well made and so easy to work.
I love the way it can cook without any oil. Whether cooking from raw to just reheating a pastry, it works beautifully. It comes with accessories, 3 mesh shelves, one drip tray, one rotating basket, a rod and two fork ends for rotisserie and a handle for inserting and removing the rotisserie rod and rotating basket. Easy to clean inside by using warm soapy water on a cloth, the door is removable for cleaning and all the accessories are dishwasher safe too.
I started of with doing frozen chunky chips, normally takes around 35 minutes in the oven with shaking/turning half way through this air fryer cooked them in 20 minutes with no turning as the basket automatically turns. Sausages were next and they were still juicy but not laden with fat as it dripped out through the mesh shelf onto the drip tray below. Then came the steaks and oh my. goodness they were so juicy and cooked perfectly in a short time. Time now to test the rotisserie. The maximum size for cooking a chicken on the rotisserie is 1.3k. Small I know but it fit nicely once I tied the legs together and the wings to the body so that as it turned they wouldn’t flop about or stop the bird from turning. I tell you now if you buy this air fryer for just cooking a chicken rotisserie style you will be a happy bunny.
I just love this air fryer, can’t wait to bake a cake, bread and dehydrate stuff.
I was super excited to try this and I am very glad I did. I have nothing negative to say about this device except it is quite bulky and something you probably won’t want on your kitchen worktop all the time time. i am now storting mine in the utility room above the dryer but I have been using it more than I would have thought I would.
Operating it is very simple. It has a clear LED display which is easy to set temp and cooking requirements and there is a count down timer to let you know when your food is done. This has made some great rotisserie chockens but make sure you don’t choose a large chicken becase it will catch on the top which burned it. Small and medium is just fine.
Chips were good too, you can usew the drum which will turn and evenly cook them and they come out delicious and golden.
Cleaning wasn’t too badm a lot of the stuff can be washed in soap water and assembled back inside neatly and out the way. Build quality as a whole unit is impressive and you can now have restaurant style chicken in your own home and it cooks so quickly.
In my opinion, there’s a few things to take into consideration before purchasing this air fryer – (a) what you intend cooking in it, (b) the advantage of being able to cook food quickly, (c) how often you’ll use it, (d) the size of the unit, (e) what it’s like to keep clean, (f) how many people you’ll be cooking for, and finally (g) the price.
Hands up, I had never used an air fryer before, but my 94 year old father has been happily using a smaller one for a couple of years now, and is always banging on about how good it is – especially for cooking his chicken portions. We also have a couple of friends who have an earlier model Breville air fryer, and they have been impressed with the practicality and performance of theirs.
I suppose the main two draws for me was the ability of this machine to be able to cook the food quickly, and the health advantages achieved from using far less oils or fats in the cooking process. Straight out of the box, I followed the ‘simple to understand’ instruction booklet and lightly cleaned all the trays, the basket, and the inner components that come with the fryer. I then switched it on and ran it empty on 200c for 15 minutes to remove any residue that may have existed inside. My first cooking experience was to roast a chicken. So, I trussed the chicken and skewered it on the provided spit rod and forks. I DID NOT add any oil or fat (just salt & pepper), I then simply placed the rotisserie spit in the right and left hand holders, closed the door, pressed the chicken button, pressed the rotate button, and then went and did some work in the garden for 50 minutes. When I came back, I was able to witness the last few minutes of my chicken slowly rotating on the spit – total cooking time = 60 minutes. And let me tell you, that chicken was perfectly cooked, had a lovely golden glow, crispy skin, and tasted delicious. My wife and I have since cooked all manner of vegetables in this fryer oven and love the fact that there’s no need to coat them in any oils because they simply cook in their own juices and retain their natural taste. I know some users have suggested that potato chips are not so easy to cook, but we’ve had no such issues with our thin-cut ones, which we ‘fry’ in the provided basket and they turn out lovely – soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. By the way, when in use, you may see steam escaping from the door, this is quite normal – so there’s no need to reach for the extinguisher, or call the fire brigade!
Addressing some of the issues I mentioned in my opening paragraph
(a) This is a VERY versatile oven, and can cook all manner of foods, so it’s worth taking the time and effort to make full use of its abilities.
(b) As I found out, cooking a chicken is achieved in a hour (versus 2-2.5 hours in a conventional oven). Veggies take anything from 10 mins to 30 mins.
(c) If you’re as impressed as me by this air fryer, you’ll find yourself using it DAILY.
(d) We found that this easily fitted on our kitchen worktop, and it slid beneath the wall cabinets with a few inches to spare. The dimensions (Height x Width x Depth) are: 14.5in x 13.75in x 14in (37cm x 35cm x 36cm). Please note that the depth measurement is allowing for the cable connection at the rear, and the door handle at the front. It’s also worth mentioning that the oven is fitted with anti-slip rubberised feet, which means your worktop won’t get scratched, and you don’t have to worry about heat transference.
(e) The internal, removable components (with the exception of the drip tray) are made of stainless steel, so can be cleaned in the conventional way, or put through the dishwasher. The inside of the oven has fairly smooth surfaces, so it’s easy enough to wipe down with some kitchen tissue, or a damp cloth after each use. I do like the practicality of a detachable front door, which makes that component easier to keep clean. It’s worth mentioning that if you don’t regularly wipe down those racks and trays there’s a chance oil/grease could build up, and result in occasional ‘smoking’ – so always best to keep everything as clean as possible.
(f) Given its internal dimensions, and the size of the trays, this is ideal for cooking a meal for 1-2 people. Though of course you could separately cook a joint of meat or roast a chicken for a family in it.
(g) At the time of my review the Amazon price was well under the RRP, which makes this very good value when compared with similar sized brands/models.
The bottom line is that I’m very happy with our ‘easy to use’ Breville Rotisserie Air Fryer Oven, so I have no hesitation in recommending it to fellow Amazon customers.
I love this little air fryer, I’ve used it religiously the last couple of days to make
everything from chicken tendies to rotisserie style chicken, I can see this perfect for a
student living on their own or if your trying to venture into a different way of cooking.
Temperatures reach up to 200 degrees celsisus,
Is 2000 W,
Has an automatic timer, I’ve used this function many times myself,
Built into it, is a digital touch screen with a system to alert you when your meal is cooked
and has a removable door for cleaning.
Cleaning, has been dead simple, even with the compact size. Two tabs need to be pushed and the door will come of.
I’ve mainly used it for chicken and for that it’s been great, with no complaints from me.
Also if your health conscious with the amount of oil your putting on your plate, its amazing how we can just use hot air to create lovely food, perfect from me 😉
The Breville Halo air fryer is delivered inside a huge cardboard box. The packing is recycled cardboard to hold the oven into position but he shelves and accessories are held inside plastic bags.
The oven capacity is 10 litres. (I go this one to replace a Tower model which has been a workhorse but the numbers and all the icons washed off so it was guess work to get the right temperature and time so I thought I would give this model a try). The capacity of my Tower brand was 11 litres but the trays fit perfectly inside the Breville, however the outside of the Breville is much bigger than the Tower model. The icons also look to be under the glass panel so I shouldn’t have the problem of them eventually wearing off (hopefully!).
When switched on, The Breville automatically sets to 200’C for 20 minutes. This pre-heats the inside of the oven but doesn’t need 20 minutes, it only takes less than one to get to temperature. The temperature and time can be adjusted by pressing the pause button and putting the time and temperature required for the dish and then pressing the start/pause button again. There are several pre-set icons on the top of the panel such as for chips, chicken and steak etc. that can be gently touched to change time and temperature which is suitable for that product but this can be manually selected too. The door detaches to make cleaning easier. The rotisserie holds a 3kg whole chicken and takes around an hour but cooks lovely and is really juicy and tasty (my family prefer this method for chicken). The chip basket is a nice idea but it takes 35 minutes to cook them. The chips are tasty and healthier though.
An instruction booklet is included with the oven but it is simple to use and self explanatory. There is a cooking chart in the booklet if you aren’t sure about the temperature or timings of different foods. It also shows the times and temperatures needed for dehydrating foods such as fruit and beef jerky.
The oven is very stylish looking and sits neatly on the counter top but the cable is only one metre long so has to be close to a socket. I find wrapping the bottom drip/collection tray in tin foil helps to keep the oven clean. The oven does save on my electricity bill and I use it every day. The food comes out nicely cooked and heated all the way through. The price at time of review is 115.49. There are other models which are cheaper and I think this one should be slightly lower in price but I really like it and only time will tell if it is worth the extra cost from my old Tower brand.
This rotisserie air fryer looks very stylish. It is reasonably compact but if you have a small kitchen do bear in mind that it still does take up a fair bit of space and it is heavy.
I found that it does work well as a second oven but it will not be replacing my air fryer.
As a small oven it does work well. It works well on chicken as you would expect. It is good for heating up smaller dishes. My main oven is small so I liked having an extra oven.
I don’t think this works well as an air fryer if you are used to a normal air fryer. The reason I love my air fryer is because it quickly makes evenly cooked and crispy potatoes etc. This just doesn’t work in the same way and the results were not as good. It wasn’t as fast and the results were not as crispy or as evenly cooked.
Actually a lot bigger and heavier than I expected. It works really great though and uses little to no oil. Easy to set up and use. Could easily be an alternative to a regular oven for small households.
This air frier is just what we were looking for, we have a tiny one and now we have learnt the benefits of air fliers and how quick they cook things, we’re ready to progress to the next size.
The internal sizes are 10in wide, 7in high and 9in deep. The cable is a little short at 31in, so you will be limited as to where you can locate the oven, unless you use an extension lead.
What I love about this particular model, is the basket rotating mesh basket, great for cooking fries of all sorts including wedges and chunky chips, it gives them that all over crispness. Also great for squid and onion rings, chicken wings, mini ribs and roasted vegetables, again, where you require that all over cooked finish.
I’m sure there is more uses for the basket, and I’ll discover them on the way.
The unit comes with lots of trays, a drip tray and 3 basket trays and two rotating devices, the basket and a rotisserie, which comes with adjustable spikes, to accommodate the size of chicken or joint of meat.
You also get a handle for lifting the basket and rotisserie out, and to help putting them in. Don’t try removing them without the handle.
One problem we encountered, if you use the basket for chips, then you cannot put anything else in the oven. You could though, put the chips on one of the wire trays, this will leave you room for something else underneath them. Any raw meat I’d put on the bottom tray though, so any juices from the meat won’t fall onto anything else cooking.
The instruction manual is very concise, showing you exactly what’s included with the frier, how to prepare it for its first use, through the various cooking modes, manual and preset, and then ending with cleaning it. The door comes off by pushing two tabs, making it a lot easier to clean both inside the oven and the door . It’s a bit of a fiddle to put the door back on., but I found clicking one side in first and then the other worked.
Before use, cook at 200deg with nothing in it, for 15mins, to get rid of any ‘finish’, then you’re ready to go.
If you have never tried air frying, then give it a go, less oil needed, if any at all, and a fraction of the cooking time, does to the smaller oven space. We certainly won’t be going back, especially as it’s just the two of us now, we only use the main conventional oven now, when we’re batch baking, or the family visits.
I thoroughly recommend this air frier.
We previously had a slightly smaller version of a similar product. Although its not that much difference in terms of useable interior space, the Breville makes a massive difference from being a little larger in practice; three shelves instead of none (in the old one all the food went in a single tray at the bottom), so we can cook much more at once, and it cooks really well.
Perfect for making meals for one person or a couple, and/or for cooking when there’s only 1 or 2 things to go in the oven (pizzas, pies, or a tray of oven chips). Absolutely fantastic for simple cooked items such as jacket potatoes or heating up frozen food. Worth noting that this oven bakes prepared frozen food really quickly; potato waffles are done in 5-7 minutes instead of 15, and oven chips are similar.
The size kind of goes against it if you only want this as a fryer though as the larger heated area means it won’t reach the same temperatures as a smaller dedicated air fryer, and that is important if you need to simulate the high temperatures of frying. The max temp here is 200C, but the dedicated, smaller ones can do 220-250. Fine as an oven as 200C fan assisted is 220C non fan assisted in recipes, and 220 is the highest temp you see in cookery, unless you are air frying
Overall, we like the Breville one much better than a dedicated air fryer; it can do more things.
But if air frying from fresh is your only requirement, consider getting a smaller dedicated one as this does not get high enough in temperature to (say) cook home made chips from raw sliced potatoes. 200C is more than enough for everything else though (including shop bought oven ready chips). If instead, you want a great mini oven that makes a decent attempt as an air fryer, then get this.
Ticks all the boxes we need so its a 5 from us.
This is a superb air fryer.
But is is more than just that.
This bad boy does the whole nine yards of cooking.
It sits on our counter top, and yes it is a big footprint, and we use it almost everyday.
It is now our go to oven.
There are a number of presets which we use.
It is cooking without any fuss.
It is quick.
It is healthy as you are not using any fats.
It is brilliant.
Love, love it.
I really dithered over the best model but I do not regret this one bit. Less than 5 minutes to set up. 5 minutes for instructions and that’s it you’re away. Straight away tonight I did wedges and drumsticks. Within half an hour the meal was on the table. It tasted crispy and full of flavour and I only used half a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil. It is so versatile and can cook so many meals. For a family of four this is perfect. I do not regret one bit. Highly recommend.
This is amazing at cooking some meats like chickens etc on the spit and I found it cooks them well all the way through, but it does take a long time compared to a standard oven, it’s like a slow cooker. I tried steak cut Chips which took a very long time and where too hard on the ends but barely cooked in the middle, so I tired small and thinner chips which cooked a lot better, again took a while but tasted great.
The cooker itself looks really modern and like a mini oven, with the digital control panel across the top that’s clear and very easy to use. The door is also a good size and its actually quite easy to clean as well.
I love the fact it comes with all the accessories you could need and the auto cook modes, it is large at 45cm square, so you need to have a good space for it and currently at 144.99 it’s not cheap but does give good results and healthy food.

second air fryer we have this one is square easy to use it has the diveder that is a big help for cooking two items at the same time only downside is if you decide to check what your are cooking when you put the basket back in you have to reset the cooking time but not that big a deal so far so good and a great price
This had some decent reviews and some mixed ones but I chose to take the plunge regardless. Glad I did as it turns out to be perfect for my needs. Easy to use, simple and clear touch controls, fairly elegant looks and quiet during operation. I would recommend to anyone who’s in the market for a mid to large size air fryer, although there are cheaper alternatives out there for sure this doesn’t seem like poor value to me.

This was purchased as a small gift for our son who has recently taken up flat sharing. He loves to be able to come home from a days work and leave that to cook whatever he wants in short time. It takes up so little space and is more versatile than a microwave oven.
The Breville Air fryer is so easy to use and we usually make a lit of chicken and even tried chips and fresh fish. Food is throughly cooked and make sure you turned the food so as the corner don’t burn halfway through. We can make 1kg of bones chicken at one time. Usually takes about 20minutes. Defo great purchase and I get to pay the amount off in 6 installments.
Brilliant fryer, we are buying another so that we can do protein (ie wings, fishballs etc) in one and fries or waffles in the other. Highly recommend this one, have a european branded one more than twice the price but poor service led me to buy the Breville and boy are we delighted it.

The 1st Breville was a great product, however after 7 months the setting buttons on the display stopped working. I rang Amazon customer services, explained the fault and the operater said it was a faulty product thay had been having multiple issues with. He arranged a replacement and e-mailed me a returns label. I recieved a new Breville and sent the old one back in the new box through Hermes with the pre- paid label on it ( Amazon pay the return postage.)

Hi my airfryer as started cutting out r wont come on its not the fuse who do i contac
Bought as a replacement for larger round one that was a bit big, I wish I’d bought this first (although daughter happy with her ‘gift’ of the ‘old’ one!). Very neat, easy to use touch buttons, no over complicated settings, square style fits great under my units. Cooks food brilliantly, I’ve cooked chicken, battered fish etc. beautifully (for 4) and it’s great for grandsons fish fingers & frozen Yorkshire puds! Dishwasher safe too! Best item I’ve bought in a long time.
This is simple to use, easy to clean and seems like it will hold up fairly well over time.
I’ve mostly used this for chicken wings or fries so far and have used it a dozen or so times without any major problems.
As with any of the stationary basket types you’ll need to shake/turn food part way through cooking but that’s no big deal really.
Generally quicker than oven cooking with better results for me.

Great capacity, easy to use. Not so great cleaning. Leaves grease droplets, even though no fat is added and doesn’t wash out in dishwasher or by hand. Therefore builds up over time. First one stopped working all of a sudden after a few months, using replacement now. But same cleaning issue again.

Had this a couple of months, it was a gift. At first i thought, its an easy bake oven, what an i gonna do with this, i made muffins in it. Its great, i love it. My 15 yr old uses it, if hes distaced it turns itself off, so no burning the house down. All students should get one, replace the microwave. You can cook almost anything in it, roasties in 25 mins, fries in 5, even bacon. Love it, great for cooking for 1 especially, even tho its says family. Get one for your student kids.
I was disappointed that the manual did not include more details about baking – had to figure out the hard way that it’s supposed to be 155 degrees, instead 180 like a regular oven. The plastic covering did change its shape slightly on top due to the heat, near where it meets the other half of the fryer.
The veggies seem to be steamed rather than fried, but I’m happy with it.
I wish I have bought one sooner, its changed my life. I hardly ever put my oven on. I stopped cooking roast beef as I messed it up every time, I thought I would try it in the halo…OMG it was amazing. I cook a chicken within an hour so its a great mid week meal. My steak tastes better than when I cook it on the BBQ. I cook just about everything I can in it. Another plus point, my electricity bill has gone down too. You will not regret it. One tip, if you notice food is starting to stick on the tray use a bit of cooking oil on some kitchen roll and give it a good wipe then put the food on top. Enjoy 🙂
Really easy to use. I found the best way to cook food was to use a spray oil such as coconut oil spray. Value for money. Food cooks evenly and quickly. You do have to experiment to find out how long to put food in for though. But overall a great addition to the kitchen.

This is my first air fryer, impressed with the range of foods I can cook with almost no oil. Chips are best if cut, washed, dried then tossed in oil. Roasts work well as does sausage, cheese on toast, bacon, nuggets et al. If cooking many chips the fryer goes mental when the water driven out affects the control panel, so have to wipe the excess water out from inside. Other than this I’m really happy with results.
I’m wonderfully surprised how effective this air fryer oven is. It’s economical, fast and easy to use. You just have to get used to HOW fast it can be, and check on your food which is simple, you just pull out the drawer, check and push it back in to resume the program you set. An excellent purchase. I’m very happy.
I bought my Halo air fryer after a friend had recommended it to me, and I haven’t been disappointed!
I love how easy it is to use, so far I haven’t found any food that I don’t like after I have cooked it in the fryer.
There was a slight issue with my first one that arrived, but I called Breville and they apologised for the fault, gave me a number and I just did a straight exchange through Amazon. The process was very easy, and the new fryer works perfectly.
Extremely easy to wipe down and clean.
Would I recommend it? Yes, but just make sure you have the room, as it is a substantial size.
I have been using Air Fryers for years. Just get one they are truly a must have.
You will find the oven is not needed and the food is always cooked so quickly with the 360 degree heating, and they are easy to clean the device after. Very Happy
Mainly used for chips and chicken nuggets and the food comes out a lot crispier and less greasy. Definitely feels healthier and is very easy to use! Isnt too large, think ruler length in width, depth and height and fits in with other appliances well.
2 downfalls, first, bit noisy, but I kind of expected that and after a while you don’t really notice it, especially when its only 10-15 mins its on, second, glossy black is a finger print magnet which isn’t helpful when you are handling food and get some residue on your hands. just make sure to have a cloth on hand to wipe down the front or it starts to look a bit grubby!
Overall, very happy with the purchase and would recommend to others who are looking to be healthie

Arrived on time and good quality for the price. I think this is the best item I have bought for the kitchen. I have used it every day for all different foods from chips to chicken it keeps the flavour in all the food that is cooked in it. I would recommend one of these to anyone.

I read a lot of reviews on here before I purchased. And one thing I realised after using this for over two months now, is that too many people in the comments nitpick at the silliest things. This air fryer is very good and it does everything an air fryer needs to do and does it well. It’s large basket means you can fit a lot of food in there without any trouble. It’s quite big but understandable when the capacity is so big. If you know what an air fryer does and need one, I’d recommend this one.
Cooks everything brilliantly, although you do have to adjust the temp to suit as their instructions i found burnt everything but once you have sorted it out to your own taste bloody brilliant until you clean it, then everything starts to stick, i only cleaned the basket with a cloth & now everything sticks…….

Bought this fryer to replace a faulty tefal actifry, I wish I had done it much earlier as the results are so much better, batter is crisper, chips are more evenly cooked and miraculously the cooking times are shorter, The basket is generously sized I’ve even managed to roast a small whole chicken in it. Highly recommended purchase.

I bought this to replace my old air fryer that I had for several years, I did my homework first by reading all the reviews and looking at many fryers on Amazon. I found this one on their Prime Day and liked the reviews and the product spec & description so purchased, delivery was two days.
From opening the box to setting it up in my kitchen I have had no issues, the size & shape really fits well in my kitchen and has a smart look. The appliance is very sturdy and well made, the digital display is easy to read and the instructions very simple to follow. I am now looking forward to discovering what this machine can really do.
