You get what you pay for! I just replaced a cheap tap with this new Bristan model. There’s no comparison. This is a high end unit that will last for years.

This is a premium tap which is high quality, very functional and stylish. It is rather large so if you have a small or average sized sink then look elsewhere. The finish on the tap is really lovely and the hose works well. It retracts itself and uses magnets to ensure it finds its correct place. It was easy to fit and came well packaged. The price is good for a premium tap and I would recommend it for large sink areas. You will need a high water pressure to use this tap effectively but if you do then this tap flows really well

Really like this tap. Brought it as my brother brought it first and he recommended it.

This suited our set up, 1 and half sinks with plenty of headroom, control positioned on right side. Unit is substantial and the flex system appears robust and is replaceable if ever required.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBristan Kitchen tap, par excellence easy to fit and works a treat.
Take heed and fit a check valve (around 6)
The jet or spray nozzle is very clever.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersWhile I always knew Bristan made good stuff – my business included kitchen/bathroom fitting I always rated Grohe and Hansgroe to be better. No more!!! Bristan have produced a masterpiece of design and manufacturing. Quick and easy to fit, they thought of the fitter, beautifully stylish to enhance your worktop, and smooth and sooooo easy to use. Thi IS a rave review, simply because i have not in a long time come across such a wonderful product. Well done Bristan!!!

We had been looking for a kitchen tap that provided filtered water for some time and we saw this one. It didn’t take much convincing so we ordered it and it arrived in a flash.

The installation was easy enough, the instructions are one piece of paper and I was able to follow the steps. The only note I would add is that when you connect the filter clamp to the water pipe and you pierced it don’t tighten it all the way through. I was left a little flummoxed as the tap was fine but no filtered water. I then found I hadn’t left the spike in the centre of the pipe so no water was able to enter via the filter cartridge.

The first time you use the filtered water it does come out grey but this as expected and once the tap was installed I left the filter running for a few minutes while tidying up then ran it again in a clear glass to see if there was any more discolouration. For those out there marvelling at the flow of water in the video, I have a Combi boiler and that is in the utility next to the kitchen so we weren’t concerned with any potential pressure issues as this tap has a minimum guide of 2.0bar.

The fact that it is that easy to use has made everyone happier and as I mentioned in the video the kids have been using it themselves and drinking lots of filtered water….Happy days 🙂

This is about as elegant looking as a tap will ever be. Stylish and functional, bold yet simplistic with a classic finish. The flexible hose is brilliant and will stay in whatever position you leave it in. Installation was easy and took less than thirty minutes, a professional plumber might be recommended but with the correct tools and a bit of time there is no reason why any competent DIYer could not do it themselves. There are kitchen taps and then there are kitchen TAPS and this one is the later – ideal for a focal point and practical to use, a welcome surprise from Bristan.

This is a hefty tap – very solid and pretty big, so make sure it’ll look right in your kitchen before committing to buying and fitting it! It’s really well made, and the flex hose has a very nice mechanism so extends/retracts well. I can’t comment on how easy it is to fit as I didn’t fit it myself, but I didn’t hear any curses from the plumber so that’s always a good sign 🙂 The spray feature is really handy for quickly rinsing off dishes and it gives good flow with my water pressure.

It’s a great tap – looks good, quality build, offering features/functionality beyond the usual run-of-the-mill plumbing. I love it!

I thought I might be able to plumb this in myself but its way past my skills to be honest. Once installed this tap really does stand out and look cool (god im getting old) I have a black composite sink so the contrast of black and chrome are super smart.

A single handle is easy to control and adjust from a temp and flow perspective. The movable stem sticks where you leave it and doesnt move, it feels super solid and is great to move around and out of the way when washing. The flow/splay switch is decent though in reality doesnt do much different, good for rinsing soap suds though.

Yes its a bit pricy but its totally solid, very premium from a look and feel perspective, the black cover on the stem feels like it will last for a good time and when people use it you get some good comments.

This is a very attractive kitchen tap that works perfectly.
The tap itself is easy to fit. The plumber had it fitted within 20 minutes and said it was one of the better taps to fit. It certainly looks great, with the rubbery black against the chrome. The chrome is very good quality and shines up a treat.
The rubbery part of the tap bends to pretty much any angle, and stays there. This is good for pointing water into a large pan or bucket that doesn’t align with the edge of the sink.
The little button at the end of the tap switches on the spray function, which is good for rinsing off the foam from the washing up and also rinsing glasses. (For those of us who still wash up by hand!)
It does need a couple of bars of pressure to work properly, according to the specification, but we have pressure a little bit lower than that and ours is fine. Maybe check with your plumber before you order.
The tap uses ceramic washers instead of rubber, so that’s another plus point.
Overall, despite the price tag, it is a good buy and, given the reputation of Bristan, should give many years good service.

This tap looked a bit daunting to fit – it is big and quite heavy. However, between two of us (only one of us has any DIY experience) we easily fit it in about half an hour. It fits perfectly where the old tap sat and there are no leaks at all.

It looks great. Our only issue is that it is quite tall so, with cupboards above our sink, there isn’t much headroom between the top of the tap and the bottom of the cupboard. Watch that if you’ve got the same issue. However, once installed it is stylish and works just as expected – it is flexible enough that you can direct the water (or spray) wherever you like, but strong enough that by default it stays where you want it to go i.e. into the sink!

All-in-all we are very happy with it, albeit on its first day of operation.

This tap has been a real improvement to our kitchen. I had to get somebody I knew to install it as I had no idea, so cannot comment on that side of things, but the actual tap itself is wonderful.

The hose makes it so much easier to wash things as you can manoeuvre it to where you want it, and that includes washing the sink! It looks good and does a great job!

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI don’t want to get overexcited about a kitchen tap but I am really excited about this one. It is just so awesome. A few years ago our tap was on the way out and so we went out to get a new tap. Prices varied and so did quality. We ended up with a bog standard tapm, nothing fancy, but just a functional tap, but you know what, the fixtures and fittings that came with it were not the best quality. So here we have just installed this Bristan Flex tap and omg the difference is night and day. Is it first of all, very elegant and really we should redo the kitchen because the tap is now showing it up big time. The flexible spout is AMAZING and we are actually fighting over who gets to wash the dishes now – no we don’t have one of those dishwasher thingies. It is so useful and functional, multifunctional in a way because of the flexibility. Gah, filling the kettle is so easy now, rinsing out the sink, or avoiding splashing from the tap because you can angle it whereever you want it to be. It’s just terrific! Best tap we have ever had – when we move, we are taking the tap with us for sure! 5/5

This is a great tap that would enhance any kitchen. Fitting is straight forward (if you know somebody called Dave) with the long braided connectors provided and using it is even better. The flex hose is just the right stiffness and I love the push button to activate the spray. Great for blasting pans or just rinsing the sink after washing up. The black hose may not be to everybody’s liking but I’m happy with it as I am with the tap overall.

Top quality “mixer” style kitchen tap.

We really liked the flexible spout, which means you can direct the water exactly where you want it – this is handy when rinsing certain items.

This product seems to be very well made and it looks classy in our kitchen.

The instructions were decent and we found it simple to put together.

It’s a fairly expensive item, but it’s reasonably priced given its high quality.

I chickened out on installing this myself, and got a plumber to do it. Judging from what he did though, I think I could have done it myself. Easy to install on our standard kitchen sink. A wonderful, well made, sturdy tap. The hose feature is amazing and the size of it means we can now easily wash larger items without trying to stick them under a standard sink. This is a great choice for a reasonable price. Well recommended.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersThis is a very elegant looking tap and it’s looks belie it’s price, looking at it I thought it would be hitting the 180 – 200 mark looking at taps of a similar quality and finish. The rubberised/silicone flexible section is so velvety soft and the nice large lever to turn the water on and off means no more soapy hands trying to grip something, it’s even large enough to use your elbow to switch the water on if your hands are full, which was great the other day as I had mud covered hands from setting a mole trap (yes got another!).
Installation is easy — so I’m told, I had a plumber friend to do it because I was a bit iffy about cutting the existing pipes neatly and getting the old tap off due to space constrictions. He said all he needed once the old pipes were cut were a couple of male compression threads (wha?), nuts and olives. Either way after a couple of grunts and his usual non stop chatter he had it done inside 30 mins. I filled the kettle from the new tap (to make sure it worked) and we had a brew.then another.
The tap itself is great it looks dead classy in situ, the flexible hose moves and stays in position and there is also a rocker switch on the tap head to alternate between continuous flow and spray. For it’s price this is a top notch tap and because of it’s fantastic sleek finish it looks quite a bit more expensive than it’s price suggests.

First things first – make certain you have the correct water system in your house before buying this tap. It must not be connected to the incoming mains, but must only be used with a water tank. That said, this is a solidly put together tap that looks as though it’ll weather the rigours of day to day use. It has a minimalist design that’s pretty chunky so it’d go well with a similarly designed kitchen – it’s not a subtle product. Top quality.

I like the modern look of this mixer tap, with its bright chrome base and controls, and the flexible black pipe at the end. The pipe is ideal for directing the water flow to different sinks, or corners that you need to reach. Normally, the water comes out of the end of the pipe in continuous flow, but by pressing the button on the chrome end you can turn this into a spray. I replaced an existing mixer tap with this one, and the hardware fits perfectly.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have to say at first I was unsure about this tap, especially as, from the photographs, I couldn’t really see how the bendy tap would work, it looked just like a hosepipe! Thankfully, I can report that the bendable part of the tap is excellent, it gives you an incredible range of movement and – despite some heavy duty usage since is was installed – looks as good as new, with no cracks or wrinkles visible.

It’s great that you can purchase this with the additional installation option, which is definitely a good idea if you aren’t confident with DIY. I did the installation myself and had a second person helping, which I would certainly recommend as the tap itself is quite heavy, so single-person installation would be tricky. It took about half an hour to install and that included removing the old tap and clearing away under the sink so we could access the necessary plumbing. The tap fits easily in the existing hole cut in the sink left by the previous tap.

Once it was installed it has been great. Do bear in mind that it is a tall tap so not ideal if your sink has low cupboards above, for example. On the nozzle end of the tap there is a small switch which activates a spray, which is especially good for rinsing dishes prior to a proper wash or going into the dishwasher. The bendable tap means you can also use the spray nozzle to clean around the sink area and the draining board, I also find it especially useful for spraying into the overflow on the side of the sink to keep that clean and sparkling! When I first installed it, the water that came out had a slightly rubbery taste, but that quickly disappeared and tap water tastes and looks clean.

Overall this is a pricier tap than many on the market but it looks high-end, is simple to install and provides flexibility (quite literally!) when washing dishes.

There is much to like about this tap – especially if you are a left hander as the tap is handed neutral. The tap is well made, well finished and is evidently high quality. The pull out water hose is easy to use.

Connecting water is really easy with flexible tails and rubber seal connectors but you’ll still need to ferret around under the sink to fit the tap to the work service. You will need the right spanner extensions.

However before buying you should check its size. It feels to be almost industrial or commercial in scale. If you have the right sort of kitchen it will look wonderful. My kitchen was too small. I wanted to leave it as it was a better tap than the one I replaced (and fitting taps is never joy) but it just looked out of place.

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our UsersIt’s of solid build and designed for easy fitting.
One great feature is the very large holding nut which is tightened by hand: super easy.
Rubber washers are of good quality and fit perfectly in the dedicated grooves so to get a perfect seal between tap and worktop/sink.
Flexi tail connectors are 500mm long, first time I see them out of the box, perfect for dodgy plumbing in the wrong place.
They feature a female end so to fit straight into the isolating valves.
Lever is very smooth, easy to get the correct temperature required.
The flexi hose is sturdy but very flexible: no more struggling to fill a bucket.
Two water jets available through a discreet button.
One for continuous flow, one for spray, ideal to wash fruits and vegetables.
Manufacturer states operating minimum pressure of 2 bar.
I knew it would be ok with my standard 1.5 bar from combi boiler, in fact the flow it’s very good and not less powerful than any other taps.
I suppose even at 1 bar the water flow would still be acceptable.
Max operating pressure is listed at 5 bar (active) and 10 bar (dead), this means that with standard domestic pressure of 1.5 bar (active) and no more than 3.5 bar (dead), the tap should last as much as a new kitchen.
Another good feature is the easily removable ceramic washer which can be descaled and refitted if necessary (instructions to do this are included).
The black hose is not everyone’s cup of tea, however my better half likes it, so it must be good.

Well made easy to fit high quality very attractive and very useful

OK! Hands up I admit that I have not had this tap fitted yet….Because I need a stronger sink, and my plumber (Who is brilliant) cant get to me for almost a month as it also means my worktop has to either be recut for the new stronger sink or replaced completely!
On the plus side, my plumber was over the moon when he saw the tap…His words “Now that is total class!”..And it truly is a brilliantly made piece of kit, everything about it screams quality workmanship.
Looking at the pipework I was surprised that there is actually an extra pipe but reading the paperwork it explained that it was for an Aerated flow when rinsing …saves water!
Brillaint chrome work and the smoothest operating tap I have ever turned….A top class tap in every respect!

Love this tap and it’s the first one of its type that I’ve owned. The hose is a boon for people that are in the kitchen a lot i.e. those that enjoy cooking – and it’s great that you can choose between the two types of flow.

Build quality is very good as I was expecting at this price point. The tap was professionally installed and replaced an ordinary one that was nothing special that had been there for many years. This is in a different league.

In terms of looks, the tap is bigger than my previous one but it looks and feels premium.

Definitely recommended and a big asset and long-term investment in any kitchen.

I’ve had my eye on a flexible spout tap for ages but haven’t wanted to pay the price, so having this come up in my review queue elicited literal squeals of delight.

Opening the packet, looking at it nestled in all its shiny glory like a little sleeping beauty, I barely wanted to disturb it so I could get it fitted. Technically a mate of my nephew was fitting it, but I watched and I have to say I could have done it myself but I was only paying a tenner for the fitting and it’s not like my plumbing adventures have always gone smoothly.

This thing feels solid, and in use the spout just works. You move it and it stays where you put it – this may seem like a low bar, but I have manhandled a bunch of demostration units over the last 18 months and you’d be surprised how many, more expensive, units feel “spongey”.

Highly recommend this. The price seems high, but you can pay much more for something that isn’t half as good.

Despite the price I thoroughly recommend this. It is superbly made out of solid materials. The flexible hose is really a top class piece of work, offering little resistance when you move it yet stays firmly in place where you put it without springing back. And looks beautiful too.

I am in the throes of building work to create my new kitchen so this tap hasn’t been installed yet, although I have had my plumber look over it and he thought is was good quality and would be straightforward to fit. Bristan wouldn’t have been the first name I thought of for a kitchen tap (even though I have bathroom taps and a shower valve by them) but I must say this is a very handsome tap which will fit very well in my contemporary country style kitchen. It is a tall tap so check measurements carefully if, e.g. you have a cupboard or plate drainer above, or if there is a window opening that might be obstructed. The single lever controls both the flow and the temperature, and seems to move very smoothly. The pull out also emerges and retracts easily, and once retracted is held firmly in place, and for me is a must have feature in a kitchen tap.

First impressions are how beautifully crafted this tap is and the weight of materials used. The chrome has a mirror like finish that reflects light and the swan neck has a greater reach than our present tap before even using the pull out head.
To use the head is a pretty staight forward operation, twist and pull. It retracts by means of a weighted barrel attached to the hose, which goes under the sink with the pipework. Before ours can be fitted we will need to remove a section of the top shelf in under sink cupboard to enable the weight to drop it`s full length.
This will be very useful when cleaning the draining board, rinsing vegetables dishes etc. You choose the spray or aerated water by pressing on the side bar. The on/off hot/cold lever has a very smooth action, in fact all moving parts are the same. Rather than the copper tails on mixer taps we have had over the years this has flexible tails, should make fitting in restricted space easier.
We are in the process of updating our kitchen and will not be using this tap just yet but our plumber is familiar with the brand and does not foresee any problems. It is very smart looking and would grace any modern kitchen.
Not the cheapest out there but it has a five year warranty, to activate that you go online and visit website.
