Easy to use, with a comprehensive manual with workout plans, this is ideal for anyone working from home and wanting something they can use at their desk. Would recommend this to anyone wanting low impact exercise, without wanting to shell out on a gym membership.

I’m 72 now and have used one of these since I was 15. I’ve also done weight training over the years. I found that if work kept me out of the gym for a prolonged period, my Bullworker helped me avoid losing strength and fitness.

Having reduced the length of my exercise sessions over the last year due to an injury, with the help of my new Bullworker, I’m building up my sessions again. Following the guidance provided, I am seeing muscle growth and increased strength – even at my age! The Bullworker has given me a new sense of purpose. Highly recommended.

Just remember to remove the already installed spring if you decide to change to a different spring.
It may not appear that there is already a spring inside because it is soooooooooooo weak yes I typed soooooooo just to make sure you got what I’m saying,
You can put another spring inside, yep i did… doh… & then even that was too weak so upped my game but the next level spring PLUS the one you – may – not realise is already there!!!!
Then that is toooooooooooooooooo much & watch out for the handle flying off & nearly hitting the wife 😉
    Great fun…..
    Anyhooooo,,,,,
Better than my one I had when I was 18, 40 years on, blimey where has the time gone 🙁

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersBefore buying this I relied on power twister bars for doing my chest exercises. They are OK, but as you become stronger, you have to buy new bars with more resistance, and if you have a lapse in concentration, the bar can turn and hit you in the jaw. This, I can tell you, is very painful. I wanted something that I could change the resistance of, that I could use without the danger of breaking my jaw and, as a bonus, that would be more versatile. This Bullworker fits the bill perfectly.
The five resistance springs cover a range that will accommodate most people and they are easy to swap out. The Bullworker and the springs (plus a small rubber mat) all fit conveniently in to a carry bag for ease of transport or storage. The cables make it far more versatile than a power twister bar could ever be, great for for back and arm exercise.
Having sung its praises, I have to say that the most useful apparatus in my home gym is a set of exercise bands in conjunction with some wall anchors, but this comes a close second. Third would come a set of heavy-duty resistance loops, good for the rotator muscles.
I do not hesitate to award the Bullworker Classic five stars. I can now distract myself with watching YT videos, etc, without having to concentrate too much on what I am doing.

I used to own a bullworker as an adolescent. Back then It had uncomfortable black straps, no changeable resistance and no grips. I eventually gave it away and have been working out with weights (barbells, dumbbells and kettlebells since then). I wanted to mix it up in my workouts so I gave this version a try when I saw several videos posted by official bullworker reps and regular users on the net. I haven’t used it extensively yet but after a few exercises I can definitely notice an evolution of the original. It’s more comfortable on the hands, it has springs with different compression rates which really make a substantial difference in resistance and comes in a very neat storage case with a rubber pad and useful instruction booklet. In my opinion it will never replace a classic workout with weights for various reasons but it can complement it and offer renewed challenges. One thing I realized very quickly is that this thing is definitely not a toy. It is a lot more challenging than I thought right out of the box. I can only imagine how hard it is to use it with the red spring ! If you have been working out with weights for years and think this looks too easy to be challenging, think again !

Golden Review Award: 11 From Our UsersI am 53 years of age, a middle aged man…aches and pains from repetitive factory jobs, etc. I have been there and done it with the weights in my younger days….doesn’t it take SO LONG TO WORK OUT WITH WEIGHTS? Life’s too short!
I had two bullworkers in my teens…I loved them! They made me strong. A couple of years ago, I purchased the steel bow, and shortly after, a birthday present…the CLASSIC.
Recently, for my birthday, I was gifted the NEW classic…let me tell you something, this is an amazing update on the previous red and black handled version. It is SO SMOOTH in operation, SO BEAUTIFUL to hold, it just feels different…and in a good way.
Who needs a gym membership? Wasting hours at a time. 5 or 10 minutes a day, 5 times a week, for example…that’s all it takes.
A tip…? Hold each rep for 2 seconds. But there’s many ways to use the bullworker.
I’ll be using the Bullworker in my 80s! Is it worth purchasing this new version if you already have the old… ? YES! It’s an evolution of a legendary product.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersI’m a mid 60s male and was basically slim and fit before getting this bullworker.
I’m now 6 weeks in to using it carefully, just 10 mins per day. It’s already making a difference.
The book that comes with it is ok but not great. The bullworker web site has a lot of really good mini videos of each exercise and some good videos of exercise sets.
Avoid youtube as there are some videos that look plain wrong to me.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis new bullworker bow classic arrived well packaged and with all accessories as listed for this product. I’ve used a bullworker for many years from the original, to X5 and variants. This model is very good because of the 5 interchangeable springs. It’s smooth to operate and an effective piece of kit.

I have previously used Bullworker products and find them really well made and effective.
I wanted to upgrade to their latest S3 36″ Bow Classic. I had found problems as was getting the older model. I contacted Bullworker and they quickly really helped me get the S3 delivered safely. I am impressed both with their products and customer service.

Bullworker also make available (for example on their website or YouTube channel) some great workouts and exercise that you can use too.

For anyone wanted an effective exercise routine they can fit in to a busy lifestyle I highly recommend their range of products – they work well and I find them enjoyable to use too.

Big thanks from me to Bullworker!

Upon receiving it, I have spent most of my day trying out different exercises with the bullworker. My first impressions of this product are positive.

The build of the bullworker seems to be robust. You can also get a five year warranty upon receiving the bullworker by simply scanning the QR code you get.

You have to get used to training with it at first, as some exercises may be complicated to perform as intended. Please read the manual carefully before use. I found isometric training with the bullworker to be effective at activating targeted muscles, although I was skeptical at first. Once you get a grip of how the bullworker is meant to do its job then you won’t be disappointed. The bullworker is a good alternative to many exercises you may do in a gym. Personally I bought the bullworker to be independent from my local gym, and so far it has shown potential. I recommend supplementing bullworker exercises with bodyweight exercises, too.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersBought this after discovering isometrics due to a shoulder and back injury. Hadn’t been able to do my normal routines due to constant pain and begrudgingly gave up on them and started looking for things I could do. Discovered isometrics thanks to Matt from red delta project and a couple other youtubers and bought an iso trainer. My rotator cuff injuries started feeling much better and I. Was able to get pretty good lifts in without irritating my shoulder or back so I kept researching isometrics. That led me to the bullworker and the isochain. Bought both and have been using them for a couple months now and have gained most of the muscle I lost over the past couple years back and feel so much more solid and stable than I did when I was doing heavy barbell lifts.

The bullworker is great for upper body and has allowed me to get really hard lifts in like I never thought would be possible. It’s not the best for leg and bigger compound lifts like deadlifts but it’s absolutely incredible for arms shoulders chest and back stuff. It’s portability is a huge plus too. I’ve been doing a lot of 10 second holds followed by 5-10 reps and can’t believe how my bodies responding. Developing strength and muscle is all about time under tension and this is my new favorite tool for upper body lifts. Highly recommend this and looking into isometrics I’m general, especially if you have injuries you’re trying to work through.

Like many reviewers I remember the old Bullworker from 40+ years ago. I wanted something to supplement my running/cycling and this is the perfect beast for that. It’s a bit expensive perhaps, but makes up for it with its sheer ease of use. This version comes with a handy booklet of training programs and individual exercises, and a range of springs to vary the workload – glad I paid the extra for these as I needed to start light and now need to step up the resistance. Swopping them is very simple. I wouldn’t say this is a replacement for all other forms of exercise, and it’s rather upper-body focused (with a few leg exercises), but a few minutes on this 4 times a week does bring some visible benefits.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI have owned a bullworker for years and I am now 83-years-old and in tip top physical shape for a man my age. The bullworker is an isometric/isotonic exercise device that is easy to use because it will accommodate almost any range and intensity of motion for a whole series of what I believe to be exceptionally effective and beneficial exercises. It uses no electricity, stores easily between uses, is very well constructed, is a great value for the price ..easily travels …. I cannot praise it enough.

I spent 1967-69 in Malaysia in the 28th Brigade at Terendak Camp. A lot of the guys bought the Bullworker as it was compact, could be stored in your locker and was a great isometric exerciser.
54 years later, bought one for my son and he thinks it is great. Still the same quality, still compact and all you need for isometric exercise.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersMy Christmas present Bullworker finally gave up on me recently after 40 years service and I’m glad I’ve replaced it with the new but similar 36″ model. It looks good, has a reassuring weighty feel to it and just oozes quality. Having read earlier reviews I wasn’t sure how many springs it would come with and I was pleased to see it had the one fitted already and four extra coloured springs, each one to increase the resistance, more than enough to stretch even the most experienced user. It’s pretty straightforward swapping the springs, a twist and pull at one end and the Bullworker comes apart. Although I was fortunate enough to grab it for 99.99 on Amazon, I was prepared to pay the higher price, 139. Yes, it’s expensive but it’s the real deal and I think this one might just outlast me.

I’ve used weights but it felt like hard work and I kept giving up. Bullworker is so easy to pick up and use I work out with this almost every day. I keep it handy and use it whenever I have a few spare minutes and I can feel the difference. It stores in a smart bag which looks good and doesn’t take up much space. The instruction booklet is clear and there are videos on the Internet which show plenty of exercise options. I thought changing the spring would be tricky but it isn’t, it takes 30 seconds. I haven’t dropped it on my foot but if I did, I doubt it would hurt like a weight!

This replaces an old (25-30 year) Bullworker X5. The quality is still amazing. Its versatile as this one unit will suffice for a woman or an athletic man. One nitpick is in order to do all the exercises you have to change out the spring for proper resistance, but its a simple task. Takes less than 20 seconds. My old X5 must have come with a progressive spring as I never had to change it (you couldn’t anyway as its riveted shut). As others have stated just a few minutes a day and you will feel it. Mine arrived a couple days ago and I said to myself I’m going entirely by the book. First week you only do one set of seven exercises daily. Done properly you will be sore afterwards. Reading the excellent instruction book it has a thirteen week plan. Looking forward to the progress.

This is a great product to give the a fast and thorough workout for the upper limbs , shoulder girdle , chest and trunk. Not so useful for the lower limbs though , except hip abduction and adduction movements.
I have used the older version ( green plastic handles) in the 1970s since I was a teenager. I broke the spring after some years , as it had a fixed spring then.
I am concerned about the quality of the reddish plastic hand grips though , which although new, feel a bit sticky. Worried that this may deteriorate over time with constant use. The older green model had hard wearing plastic which never felt sticky. It would also be useful if it came with a simple pictorial exercise chart. Surprised that it did not even come with a simple instruction manual , although it is not a problem for a previous user like myself.
Overall a very compact and useful product to build and maintain muscle mass. The interchangeable springs are a good improvement.

Compact and effective exercise equipment for a fast effective daily workout.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve previously used an old brown handled version that was passed down to me that recently came to the end of its life, just as I was ready to get back into fitness again! As you’d expect, over time the spring inside did get weaker. This prompted me to get the Bow Classic as a replacement.

The build quality on it is exceptional. It feels like a premium product, but it’s not heavy or cumbersome to use.
One of the things I really like about this version is the hand grips on the ropes which are easy to move up and down depending on what the exercises are. Also, the moulded red grips feel great and there’s no worry that I’ll end up losing my grip on it when I’m working out.

It’s also good to see that it comes with 5 springs. Even though I’m not at the stage yet to use the higher resistance springs, I was able to go about the process of dismantling the Bow Classic to see how easy it is to do. It’s really straightforward, and there’s no way you could accidentally do unclip the mechanism mid workout.

The bag that it comes in as well is really high quality and the non slip pad is a nice touch for doing exercises that require the Bow Classic to be planted on the floor. In short, it’s a pleasure to use, and after even a short workout, you do feel like you’ve been put through your paces.

Lastly, the book that comes with it is really useful as well. It’s a hand pocket size and it has full colour diagrams of the exercises that you can do with it. As an added touch, it’s also available to download online (I can’t post the link here but it’s on the Bullworker website) free of charge which will be a big help for those that are travelling and want to do a workout but don’t have the book to hand.

All in all, a highly recommended piece of workout equipment that is going to see a lot of use over the coming years.

Golden Review Award: 32 From Our UsersI’m 61 now and I remember my friend buying one of these back at school in the 70’s and it turned him into a beef cake ripping his shirts (literally, I kid you not) and gaining the reputation of the strongest lad in the year, if not the school. This one looks just as good as his, if not better, especially with the replacement springs which are easy to swap out. I have yet to start the routine suggested in the handy book that comes with it, but just buying it and unpacking it has let me tighten my belt a notch. I don’t expect to be ripping shirts like Tommo, not at my age, but health wise I think this will be one of, if not THE, best investments towards fruitful and active longevity. I might even get to tighten my belt another notch or two, beat the wife at arm wrestling… the possibilities are endless! I’m still staying clear of the dog though.
