Still tool needs skill to use it. It’s quite loud and you have to push quite hard to get the nail down into the wood. But I like that I can now shoot nails when I want to.

I’m very pleased with the cordless Brad nailer and found the set up straight forward. I have very little use for brads but use staples frequently and found the portability of this really useful. No running extensions and lugging a heavy compressor into awkward areas. I have found it handles metric size staples with no problems or jamming so this was a bonus. It’s probably not recommended by the manufacturer but it does reduce running costs considerably.

For the price it’s great for smaller tasks, but for proper joinery jobs something with a bit more power needed, that said I’ve had no problems nailing mdf 12 mm and 15mm sheets with the 1″ Brad nails, it’s handy as u can use as a stapler also good produc

Good for occasional light use but if you need something with a bit more grunt then look elsewhere, that’s not to say it isn’t good value for the price
Is a bit inconsistent driving the nails to depth even at max setting Using 32mm brad nails, better results with shorter nails.
Not the quickest gun but if you want speed then pneumatic is probably what your after anyways.

Bought this to assemble some frameworks for a camper van conversion.
Ordered and arrived next day with a half charged battery and some 32mm nails.
It has nailed home 400 nails over the last day and a half without missing a beat.
Yes, it does mark the surface which is fine on hidden surfaces and hold it with a little less pressure on finished faces and finish off with a pin hammer.
    Highly recommend this tool

Used for the first time today . I found the instruction diagrams difficult to follow a few written instructions/explanations would have been extremely helpful. I was using 30 nails but that size was not labelled on the nailer or in the instructions even though advertised as being suitable .
45+ nails used today and nailer worked very well ,need more practice adjusting pressure..

After looking at many others with extra bells and whistles and because it seemed good value for money, I thought I’d give it a go. Comes in a standard brown box with some graphics, nothing fancy, everything held in place so nothing could be damaged if dropped. You get the gun, one battery, a charger, instructions (who reads them anyway) and 2 small box’s containing enough nails and staples to get you going, basic stuff. I think I would have liked a small plastic case to hold the gun, battery and some nails/staples though, for storage and transportation. There was some charge in the battery, but I fully charged it in a few hours. First job was fitting a stair carpet, quite a thick carpet so I used the supplied 18mm staples I used all the staples plus some I got from work that fit just fine, everyone without a jam. Next job was a diy project with 2×1 soft wood, I again used the supplied Brad nails until they were gone. Still no jams.. Well, for what I paid I’d say I got a quality good value for money product, in fact, iv’e been looking at the other products they sell. Note, this isn’t a professional tool costing hundreds that you can use and abuse. and does not have bump nailing etc, it’s for light use more suited for hobbies and diy which is who I’d recommend it to, give it a go, you won’t be disappointed

Great bit of kit although some may find it heavy but what do you expect with a battery attached. Gets in those awkward corners with ease with the added bonus of a bright led light. My only little problem is that it comes boxed rather than in a case which would’ve been nice for the money. Overall though I knew what was included and I purchased it and glad I did 10/10 from me and look forward to my next job that requires it 🙂

Bought this as I needed another battery for the paint spray and had fairly low expectations – pleasantly surprised. The power and accuracy is equally as good as my compressed air pin nailer and so much more convenient. Pins and staples are driven well into a variety of hard and soft woods and so far I have not experienced any jams. Other products are able that handle longer pins and staples and appear to use more recent technologies but I am happy with the performance so far.
My star rating is based on this being a light use DIY tool and no comparison with the ‘big name’ tools designed for professional use is being made. There is no fifth star because the plastic cap that reduces marking the wood just falls off and replacement parts seem impossible to source.

I bought this brad nailer just over a year ago, and found it very good for my DIY requirements – sturdy and powerful. The initial charge lasted very well.
When it finally ran out of juice, I attached it to the supplied charger – and found it didn’t work. I have not been able to find a replacement, so suppose I will have to throw the brad nailer away, and buy a different make. What a waste!
ADDENDUM – The supplier I originally bought this nailer from (through Amazon UK), no longer sells through Amazon, and was unable to help.
HOWEVER, Neu Master tools are now supplied in the UK by Neu Master Direct. I contacted them and explained my problem, and they could not have been more helpful. Despite not having sold me the original gun, and despite it being out of warranty, they immediately sent me a replacement charger and battery FOC. These work very well.
They say they want to provide the best possible customer service – well, this is one very satisfied customer!!

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis is the second cordless nailer I have purchased. My previous one was more powerful and could drive in 50mm 18 gauge brads, but this model is limited to 32mm brads. If you look at the last picture, you’ll see the magazine loaded with 30mm brads with just 2mm space at the top for the largest size it will fire.

This tool is smaller and weighs less than my first nailer, and so far I find it easier to use. There are some drawbacks, however, which is why I have given it 4 rather and 5 stars. Neu Master, although it may be an established brand elsewhere, seems to have just recently started up in the UK. There is only an email address to contact if something goes wrong. There doesn’t seem to be anywhere you can buy a replacement battery (though this should not matter if the one supplied is working properly).

In the first two pictures I have tried to show how well the brads are driven in to a scrap piece of softwood. You will see that the 3 brads at the bottom of the piece are proud of the surface by 1-2mm. This was with light pressure only on the top of the nailer. With the other brads, I made sure that I held down the nailer firmly against the surface. The results still aren’t perfect, but they are better. No ugly marks are left on the wood by the force of nailer firing its brad, and this is definite plus. It’s a simple matter to tap in the brads with a panel hammer, or to use a nail punch if you want them below the surface.

If you don’t hold the tool firmly at the top when you fire, there will be some recoil towards you – it doesn’t seem unsafe, but it is disconcerting. When you use brads in smaller lengths, you will still find that they still don’t quite embed themselves fully. There is a dial at the back which purports to increase or decrease the penetration of the brad, but this doesn’t seem to work.

For most diy people, the brad length options are about right. If you are doing some heavy duty work, then you might want to seek out a more powerful gun – but the downside of this is that you may not be able to fire smaller length brads or staples. I watched a You Tube video recently in which a carpenter was justifying owning 5 different nailers, because there is no single nailer which will do everything. It’s early days yet, but I like the ergonomics of this tool – it looks like it won’t jam too often, and will be easy to unjam. It’s relatively light to use, and it feels safe.

    Light duty diy nailer/staple

  39. Anonymous says:

I unfortunately had to return my nailer due to a fault with the charger, however I thought I’d still review it.

The nailed was really very good. The nail and staple cartridge is amazing, well made, metal, slides well and I had zero jams after maybe a hundred nails. Awesome, and really well made.

The power is ok. I was using 30mm nails through 12mm mdf, and they were mostly left proud unless i pushed super hard. If I pushed hard though, I ended up leaving a witness mark on the wood from the hammer.

THe battery was great and last ages!

Im not sure just how much the twist power does, it feels like it binds up a spring a little more but I didnt notice any difference from easy to hard settings.

Overall, I was unlucky with mine, but I would still recommend this. It was a great product when I used it.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI purchased this nail gun to pin a malamine cupboard until I put some screws in. It didn’t work well in the material as the nails were sitting out of the board significantly, so I contacted the supplier to return it. I sent them photos of the problem and when they assessed the issue they gave me a full refund, but also allowed me to keep the tool! So, 100% happy with customer service.

That was a few months ago and I have had opportunity to use the nailer in other material, primarily pine, but I even used it on thin aluminium when I was mounting a draft excluder on the bottom of an external door. It works well when securing pine pieces. I made two pine window shutters and used 32mm brads and glue to secure the struts for which I used 1″x3/4″ lengths which I rounded over with a router. They look very well, especially for an amateur like me! The picture shows a temporary hanging of them before I filled one gap and treated them with an antique pine finish.

The bottom line is that I am a convert to this power tool and will hopefully continue to use it for many years. I hope I don’t get billed again for it!

Used in the right way this is a good tool.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI cannot rate this product highly enough. If it was labelled with a “Big Brand” name, it will cost you 3 times the amount. So, my advice, don’t go for “Designer Labels” just because you can, go for the NEU MASTER NTC0023. You will not be disappointed.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThis is a really handy product. It often doesn’t shoot the brads all the way in, but it’s still better than using a hammer (at least when you miss nails as much as me!), so what if you still have to set them after. Mine had a flywheel type part inside break about 11 months into owning it, and I don’t think it was a problem with the tool, I think I’m mostly to blame for pulling the trigger after a brad got jammed (it looked clear, honest). I contacted the seller, Spartatool, to see if I could get it repaired (was willing to pay), and they’re sending me a courtesy replacement. The tool’s good, but I’d call that service great.

Battery lasts a good long time, and the product overall is very easy to use, though the insert pressure adjustment seems to do very little, and you can control this to a certain extent by how much pressure you apply to the wood when pressing the fire trigger…too little and the head remains slightly proud.

Golden Review Award: 30 From Our UsersBought this unit for building in the garden and on day one I put it to the task of nailing up some trellis made from 18mm x 30mm batons. Now I’ve never used one of these nail guns ever before, but I read the booklet thoroughly, inserted the nails as shown, and without any effort it made little work of whacking these together. So far I’ve made no use of the nail depth gauge and every nail had penetrated full depth into the timbers. Basicly I hold it perfectly verticle and apply a little pressure with my left hand to the top facing edge of the nailer to prevent any kickback and it performs brilliantly. No jamming, no proud nails, and a first class job delivered. Using this tool is simplistic, and cuts the time spent on jobs to less than half. Overall having now built lots of projects around the house and garden, I’m 100% satisfied with my Neu Master Nail Gun and can happily recommend this tool for its performance, ease of use, and problem free operation. A quality built hardwearing tough model that’s well made and delivered with loads of nails and staples. For refill I use Tacwise 32mm 25mm 20mm and 15mm nails, Tacwise are a good brand and they return great results. Well recommended.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI rarely write reviews of stuff I buy but I thought this one deserved it. I previously owned a Ryobi 18v nailer before my separation that my ex father in law happily kept for him. I was short on money and needed a new one. I tried this one that came from the US and what a bang for the buck. It performs as good as my previous one. I did crown moulding, ceiling boxes with lighting and built a quick MDF bookshelf. Awesome value so far. I’m hoping this brand picks up so the battery and charger become useful for other good tools. So far I recommend this Neu Master nailer.

Golden Review Award: 52 From Our UsersI had a few small jobs that needed a staple gun, some of them where in inconvenient location and I didn’t want to use a corded gun. I also didn’t want to spend a lot since it wasn’t going to get a great deal of use. What a great piece for the money!
I didn’t expect it to be so well built. This thing is rugged, the body casting is substantial and built to take a beating. I was surprised to find the fit and finish to be so well done. They even give you a sample pack of nails and staples to get started. The battery charger tells you all kinds of info on the batteries status that I have never seen on any of my Dewalt cordless stuff. This thing has a lot of power! It drives your fasteners with authority it is not a weak tool! They also give you an adjustment for depth control which is nice. I was surprisingly impressed on how well built and how well thought out this tool was, and for the money it is an awesome deal. I wouldn’t hesitate to try the other products in their line up based on the way the nail gun preformed – who says you need to spend a lot on a tool to get good quality.
One thing to know – The staples and nails load into the top edge of the feeder sleeve, it took me a minute to figure it out I ‘m used to loading nails along the bottom edge of the feeder on a regular nail gun.
