As a near 80 year old I needed something lightweight to deal with my hedges. One is at least fifty yards long and there are three smaller one’s to deal with. This machine is brilliant, it does a good job and one battery charge lasts and lasts. More than pleased with the cutter, it is more than advertised.
Appears to be a worthwhile purchase. Cuts privets nicely with ease,lighter than a previous purchase, if looked after should last a long time. Enirse the blades are kept clean and lightly oiled.
Works well hopefully the battery will do as well as the Trimmer it replaces.

This is a good cutter but the instructions are u/s. Page 10. “the battery is inserted into the charging compartment”. Whereabouts is the charging compartment? Page 11: “Meaning of the indication elements.”(Lights?) There are three lights, red, yellow and green, which all light when connected to the charger and remain permanently on. (Why?) The purpose of the third (yellow) light is not mentioned. More information is needed here. A diagram would help. Beside the three lights on the battery is a square button, which when pressed lights up all three lights. What is this for? Its a good tool, but spoilt by the owner having to find out so much by trial and error.

and his petrol one was too heavy.

Whilst this machine is very light to carry it is very robust and will cut most hedges if branches are not too thick
I don’t often write reviews but this deserves it. When I got out of the box I thought this light toy wouldn’t be able to replace my gtech hedge trimmer but I was wrong
It can easily cut quite thick branches as per the photo and I did all along the fence as per photo and a large yew hedge at the front as well. This was all on 1 battery which I hadn’t expected as I bought the 2 battery version. Definitely does at least 1 hour cutting per battery
Overall I’m pleased I spent 100 pounds less on this than the gtech
Fantastic Hedge trimmer, lightweight and versatile to use and fantastic cutting blades. Best garden product I have purchased to date.
Very happy with this purchase. Watched my husband using it and ot sailed through cutting a thick hedge. The branches bigger than twig type size. Was used for about an hour & as powerful at the end as at the beginning. Not having the cord is so much better! Much less vibration than our last trimmer, & easy to use with good safety features. Only slight downside is that the guard isn’t great, but it’s certainly not a problem.
Our neighbour came out & was eyeing it up!

Quality product that does the job excellent value for money.
I was reluctant to buy this as I have a powerful petrol hedger but this is fabulous for getting the lighter growth off and is very light to use, I bought it for the lighter jobs and I’m not disappointed it can cut through pretty thick branches too obviously it won’t take the place of my petrol hedger when it comes to the bigger jobs but it is very good and easy to use

I’ve been trimming a 15 foot long ,4/5 foot high laurel hedge with garden sheets for the last 3 years!!!!!!! – Why???????

I ended up trimming my neighbours nightmare privet with an ash tree growing within it and this just cut through the lot and has completely transformed what was an eye sore!

Buy a cordless if you’ve never used one and cut through the wire constantly like me!

Ero scettico in quanto , avendo altri tagliasiepe a filo ben pi potenti nel taglio, credevo visto il prezzo di fare un acquisto non utile. Invece dopo averlo provato per sfoltire e rifinire la siepe dei nuovi germogli, mi sono fortemente ricreduto .La batteria ha una buona autonomia, l’attrezzo pesa pochissimo e non stanca le braccia …insomma sono soddisfatto dell’acquisto. Consiglio per lavori di rifinitura…
I cut my overgrown hedge. My Dewinner cordless trimmer made easy work of it. The battery seems to last well. So far very pleased.

Having used it just a few times it totally lives up to my expectations. It is very well made and thought out, light and well balanced. It curs easily through tough hedging giving a smooth finish.

It is so light weight but a powerful trimmer. Never heard of Dewinner but will consider more item made by them.

Seems good used once. No lead makes it so much easier. Quite light and less noise than previous trimmer.
This trimmer is extremely light and easy to use,much better than the telescopic trimmers. Not quite as powerful as a corded trimmer but perfectly acceptable

I’m a professional gardener, and thrilled to have purchased this cordless hedge cutter. Fabulous easy cut, and certainly is quieter that my last. Great value and would purchase again.
So many cordless tools don’t have the ‘grunt’ of their corded alternatives and often disappoint. This one does the job well. Good balance, not too heavy and a decent blade length. Did my large laurel hedge with ease and without the worry of cutting through a cable by mistake. For the price it’s a great buy.

Arrived quickly, good value. Works well on box hedge and ivy. Not as powerful as a pettol model but light and quiet.
Only used once, so far, but got a good 40 mins, & still had some left in it.

What used to take me 3 hours of manual pruning with secateurs, having to take breaks because my hand ached, I did in around 20 minutes.
The plants I cut right back grow “sticky” and “woody” throughout the course of the year. This thing munched through them like PacMan! Well impressed. You can gnaw through stuff slightly larger than the teeth allow by working your way around, but secateurs are quicker for these occasional bigger beasty sticks.
You need to hold both handles for the trimmer to power up and start buzzing. Let go of either handle and the teeth stop instantly – a really good safety feature. I’d recommend getting a pair of tough safety goggles. It doesn’t spray stuff all over the place – quite the opposite – but the occasional bit of stuff can go whizzing past and if cutting down long stuff it can fall towards you.
All my sticky woody plants are now cut right back waiting for spring to start the cycle over once more.
I wish I’d bought something like this years ago, and I can highly recommend this one.
Oh – remember to pop the battery out when finished. Better safe than sorry.
