Creative T100 2.0 Compact Hi-Fi Desktop Speakers, up to 80W Peak Power with Bluetooth 5.0, Optical-in, AUX-in, Wide Soundstage and Audio Clarity with Bass Control for Computers and Laptops (Black)
Used in the kitchen. I tend to watch YouTube videos on my phone while cooking. I put the phone sideways on a stand with the speakers on either side and connected via Bluetooth. Better systems are available but this is slimmer so it’s ideal where space is tight.
These speakers are quality. Connected to a PC, they provide a very clear & crisp sound. The bass they generate when using the settings are remarkable for speakers not so big. The set up is good, the pictures are simple to follow & the appliance is easier to configure to the settings I prefer. Definitely recommend
I bought these to replace a small and cheap pair of speakers that finally died after 12 years scratchy service! Why the T100? I have a wide range of listening interests – from Classical to ‘War of the Worlds’ (A good test for speakers!) The T100’s have a remote control with the ability to ‘tame’ both bass and treble – and few others in this price range have that ability.
Talking of price range, when I bought the T100’s they were 99. This was 10 more than Creative’s stablemate the T40 – a system that, to me, seems rather dated now. I did look at other systems around the 100 mark – and after reading numerous reviews (both technical and user) finally settled on Creative T100′. I have not been disappointed.
Set up was very simple. The main controls are on the right hand speaker, so it was a case of connecting the left speaker to the right, the right to the ‘green’ connection on the desktop computer, and then plugging to the mains. All the leads are supplied, but the batteries for the remote are not.
The remote control has, as already mentioned, controls for treble, bass and volume. There are further EQ options for ‘music’ , ‘cinema’ ‘concert’ and ‘gaming’. Of these ‘cinema’ seems to produce a pleasant and balanced atmosphere for most uses – especially with the controls for treble and bass. (I am not a gamer – so I don’t know what these controls sound like when gaming. I noticed there is the option for connecting these to a Play Station – but the lead for this is not supplied)
There is also an option to use these speakers via ‘bluetooth’ – again this is something I have not tried, but the instruction leaflet seems to show an easy connection. There are also specific ‘bluetooth’ controls on the remote for this.
On the whole I am very pleased with these speakers. They are not ‘top of the range’ best ever speakers – but that is not what I bought them to be! They are, however, very capable for watching a film, streaming music or listening to the radio while working. They are a very competent all-rounder.
While typing this I am listening to Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in A Major. I have just checked the settings, and the volume is at 55 – easily loud enough to hear throughout the room (and beyond!) , the speakers give a very clean, sharp and clear sound to it.
And ‘War of the Worlds’ sounds fantastic!
(These are my own opinions on an item I have purchased)
I bought these to repalce another set of Creative lab speakers which I had been using for 15 years which had packed up. So far these have been great and are just the right size to fit on my desk.
My 4.1 Creative speakers bought in 2003 with a Evesham computer finally gave up….things just don’t last!! Happy with the purchase, just enough bass output without a woofer ….hope they last until 2039.
I was going to tell you how good these speakers are, but all you need to do is read Kevin Duffy’s review from below. He says everything I would have wanted to say. 🙂
Brilliant pair of speakers. I find Creative is much better than Logitech in terms of audio fidelity and clarity. Logitech is more about drowning bass… Having said that I was very surprised to hear the amount of bass coming out of these, very clean and no distortion. The mids are well defined and the highs are just perfect I think. You also get different audio equaliser modes on the controller like cinema, gaming etc. Treble and bass can be adjusted too. I use them for music and gaming myself so I can definitely account for the quality. The units themselves are quite weighty which shows the quality of drivers in these. These also have Bluetooth play functionality which is a useful touch. All in all, I highly recommend these.
These are what they are described as – compact Hi-Fi Desktop speakers. I wouldn’t have wanted them any larger and the sound is delightfully rich for applications used at the desk or for background music during work. Easy to setup, easy to use and with flexibility on the source and the type of audio.
Music and games sound fantastic on these speakers. They were easy to setup – just plug and play, and the sound fills the room. I haven’t tried the Bluetooth option yet.
I’ve enjoyed these little speakers plenty since plugging my PC into them.
They are well made, easy to control , and they sound a cut above the cheap nasty things many people plug into a PC.
The sound quality is good enough that you could enjoy some relaxing sounds on them. I smile a little at people trying to use the word ‘audiophile’ when talking about these, as no true audiophile would listen to music from a PC.
I AM an audiophile (about 12k of hi-fi sitting in the room with me), and I can assure you that nothing plugged into a PC would ever be used for critical listening. However, with that said, for what these are they sound decent and have a good balance across the spectrum , with decent separation and soundstage as well. In common with any small design they tend to bloom in the base registers and there’s definite spikes in the response curve at low frequencies, but this does as intended and gives the impression of a bigger set up. For consuming most media, its great, and for a bit of music while you are doing some work on the PC its not too shabby!
I’m happy with these speakers. They look good, feel well made, operate flawlessly and I’m very happy with the sound.
Having spent many hours agonising over which computer speakers to buy, I’m pleased that I ended up with these.
I looked at offerings from a wide range – from the Logitech Z200 all the way up to the Audioengine A2+ – but these seemed to tick all the right feature boxes at a reasonable price.
That said, I was unable to hear any of them before purchase – so I was pretty much taking a punt on these, helped along by a few reviews here and there…and I guess it’s important to note that the size of the speakers was an important consideration for my purposes.
And in terms of size they have quite a modest footprint – which meant I was quite surprised by the depth of bass from them when I first fired them up. Frankly I was a bit taken aback; having been something of a hi-fi buff in the past I’ve always enjoyed quite a neutral sound. No big deal though, I simply tweaked the computer’s output with a a freeware equalizer to calm things down a bit…but if you like a bit of bass, these speakers have a reasonable amount to offer for their size.
Most of my listening is at medium to very low volume, and in this respect I find these speakers to be very easy to listen to – with a nicely-balanced presentation that works well across a variety of musical genres.
In the main I’m using them via a feed from the computer’s headphone jack, but I’ve also used the bluetooth feature via a phone – and I’m happy to report that it was simple to set up and reliable in operation.
The remote control is handy. Can’t say I’ve done much with it other than adjust the volume or mute the speakers, though the ‘skip track’ feature via bluetooth is very useful.
Build quality seems to be quite good, and they don’t look out of place sitting on a windowsill.
I think you have to be realistic about what you’ll get out of such small speakers, driven from (in hi-fi terms) a very basic source with relatively low-quality output (mp3) – but if you’re looking for something that’s fuss free, reasonably discreet with a presentable sound quality…I’d recommend considering these speakers.
I wasn’t happy with my Creative Pebble 2.0 as the sound was too small so took a chance and bought these instead. I wasn’t disappointed and surprised by the great mid-bass punch these speakers had. Fantastic detail, immersive sound and a great bargain for under 100! Well done Creative team!
I had forgotten what a difference a good set of speakers can sound like. I am very impressed with the quality of sound. They are nice and compact perfect for my use. The included power lead and linking cable would ideally be longer to allow for greater flexibility in placement of the speakers.
Love this set of speakers. Great sound particularly for music. deep bass. For gaming likely best to use a 3.5mm jack rather than the fibreop connection – there is a difference . I’m hoping that these speakers connected to my Desktop pc last for many years. IF they don’t I’d be more than happy to buy them agai
Bought these Bluetooth computer speakers as I don’t need surround sound but wanted something better than the integrated sound from my monitor. The sound is very clear and even when paired with my onboard sound card, they achieve more volume than I require. Very happy with my purchase.
These are a good pair of speakers. I bought them as an upgrade to my previous ones, which were the same make. These have improved sound quality and look very smart. Delivery was speedy and on time
Crisp highs, clear mids and thumping bass considering the size of speakers/lack of sub woofer.
Small footprint, very handy remote and classy looks. Much better sound quality and more customisation than the Bose Companion 2 speakers, also an upgrade over the Creative t20/40s.

Good and clear sound for desktop speakers. Well built and look good on a desk

look good – pretty good sound and volume control via remote works well
Excellent product just right for what we wanted them fo
Not bad speakers for their size although not the clearest sound.
Would say they are slightly over priced.
Replacing for Corsair 250
Superb Quality, sound, build, connectivity options are outstanding,
And the remote is good.
Wonderful desktop speakers.
