Easy to set up and use. Very smart, fast indeed! Lovely big reservoir to the back for your water too. Very smart colours on machine and looks really good when lit up! Shuts off quick after use to conserve power too! Highly recommend this to all coffee fans out there!

I bought this to replace my broken manual De’longhi machine. I always liked the pods and the flavours it produced but I hated having to watch the machine to stop it in time before it overflowed. This machine was a bit more expensive but I’m so glad I went with it the automatic version now. No watching involved. Just set the cup size on the machine and leave it to do its job. Easier to fill with water than my old machine too.

Did a lot of review reading before choosing this machine and it is excellent – quick to heat up, very easy to use. One of the main benefits against other machines is that it turns off by itself once it has dispensed the amount of water you have set it to – something other models do not do. You can also top up the cup by using a lower setting without affecting taste – strength as I do like a big cup! No downsides. Highly recommended

I am very happy with this machine, I really like the flavour of the pods. The only drawback is it is difficult to use a latte cup, you have to remove the drip tray and it is still a tight fit.

This machine replaced one that I’d had for a few years but it didn’t have a automatic stop. This one you set the cup size and the machine stops automatically. Many a time with my old one I’d walk away for a minute and forget I needed to manually stop it. Oops!

    Nice and compac

After many years of service with hundreds of cups of coffee my previous coffee machine has finally expired. This Dolce Gusto Genio S Plus makes a worthwhile replacement with 1600w power, temperature control and automatic shut-down, and with 0.8 litre capacity and drink size selector. The machine works well, and the coffee it makes with Dolce Gusto pods is 5-star excellent, but I rate the machine as 4-star because there is insufficient height when using a taller yet standard a latte glass, and the drip tray has to be removed to make room.

I think the best bonus about this unit is its absolute custombility, you can have your coffee just how you like it, hot or cold hot frothy milk or cold. The instructions are an easy to follow picture stepwise guide, so they are easy to follow and learn.
buy refillable pods environmentallly friendly fill them with you fave grind.
Perfect I am very glad I bought i

Had our previous coffee maker for many years and decided to put it into retirement. So pleased we did as this new De’longhi Nescafe Dolce Gusto is considerably better than the older one. Its far more compact very slim and takes much less room up, it’s quicker, easy to use, the coffee is hotter too. Regarding delivery it arrived very quickly. Overall I would recommend Amazon for this item as it was cheaper than the same item from other stores.

So many option online for coffee, chocolate, chai, matcha. And you can get reusable capsules if you prefer to grind your own coffee. I do and I am in love with the machine. Also love the boost options as it gives a flavour boost to the coffee. Wife loves the machine being so small and easy to keep tidy. Easy to refill. The whole deposit is enough for 2 XL drinks and plenty of espressos. Can be topped up while a coffee is being made. Being able to just walk to a nearby shop and getting the capsules is also a bonus.

Because my 10 year old coffee machine gave up the ghost , I had to buy the same brand again. Not disappointed. Easy to use and clean and serves up excellent coffee including my favourites double expresso and latte . Good buy

Ok, its “small” (you can’t fit a six inch tall latte glass under it} so you could take that as a negative, alternatively you could argue it is “compact” and treat that as a positive.
It is however fully automatic, the pods are easy to load, there are four temperature settings, an adjustable drink size dial and an expresso boost button if required.
The temperature settings are really useful and the highest hot selection really does produce a piping hot drink.
Reading negative reviews I have not found any real disadvantages other than the fact that six inch latte glasses don’t fit.
“plasticky taste” – after following the “clean me first” instructions the machine then produced excellent tasting coffee, no problems,
“leaking water” – no, didn’t experience any leaks either
“small capacity” – the plastic water tank, which is easy to fill, does hold 0.8 litres, enough for two decent sized cups of coffee with a bit to spare and yes, it would need topping up before re-use , but this takes us back to “small or “compact”.
I upgraded from a lumio model to this one, which did take the larger glasses, but I found loading the pods a bit of a faff and the drinks were never really hot enough for my taste.
So, yes, four stars rather then five for the smaller glasses this model accepts , but the other features really outweigh this perceived shortfall.
Price wise, once again Amazon were very competitive and no issue with delivery.

Very happy with the Genio S Plus machine. Easy to use and maintain. It takes a range of pods, other than Dulce Gusto’s own (which are great) and there are also pods available for tea. An adaptor makes it compatible with Nespresso type capsules (which work well). Being able to adjust the drink volume is great, but the key feature for me is being able to adjust the temperature. Dulce Gusto also offers a pod recycling service.

The machine is great, chosen as it is a ‘Which’ best buy. We love the variety of pod options and look out for supermarket deals such as 3 boxes for 9. The machine is small and therefore tucks away nicely in a corner of the worktop taking up very little room. Easy to clean too. Shame the pods aren’t recyclable, had a crisis of conscience about that one!

Yes this machine works very well..a little too good as drinking more..
It can drip after use.. very small water tank but it’s is a very small device..
    Hotel hot chocolate.???watery.
I added a froth with my frother.
But still not as good as hoping.

As per title the mrs is all about this machine, does a decent milky coffee and likes the idea we have a machine. But. It takes waaaay longer than a kettle and a milk frother, you need to choose a pod to suit you (pods without milk are a bit sheet) its pretty complex to use vs some of the 1 touch machines out there, and its a bit difficult to clean / dispose of pods
All in all, its a bit of a faff. Juice isnt worth squeeze.

I think I’m made to have paid what I did for this only reason was it turns its self of and the variety as the boost one we wanted doesn’t have much other than coffee my partner Is a coffee drinker I’m not I like my sweet drinks but the hole that the drinks comes out of is so small it keeps jamming if it carries on I’m sending it bk should do that with what it cost and u have to keep putting it on as the levels it says and for midgets it’s not even half a cup apart from this it’s good

I was upgrading from a dolce gusto Jovia machine, I was uncertain about paying so much for a coffee machine, but in short this machine is awesome & with the touch screen it feels sci fi & futuristic, now the water container is a bit small you may only get 2-3 cups of coffee before needing to refill & the drip tray not only comes away but the top comes off for easy cleaning wich the jovia did not. Now for those wandering about how to set the setting its quite simple the moment you open it up to put the pod in the touch screen activates & is already sitting at 2 bars you then touch the screen to how many bars you’d like all the way from one bar to XL you can touch the thermometer picture to change the temperature for cold warm or hot you then just tap the cup picture & it will start pouring when ready honestly this would not look out of place in star trek all its missing is voice activation, I would fully recommend i

Got this to replace our previous model that started playing up. Like the water tank design. Very easy to fill and attach and clean after use. No worries about difficult to clean algae build up like on older models. Also like the different temperature options, from drink straight away temperatures to nice and hot, sip slowly drinks. Only downside is I can’t use my regular latte glasses so had to get something not so tall but with the same capacity. Would still recommend though.

I bought this coffee machine because it had all of the requirements I was looking for and I noticed that it was a fair bit cheaper than some of the others on the market. It has lived up to all of my expectations. The coffee pods themselves are quite expensive per cup of coffee, but you can quite easily source cheaper unbranded ones from leading UK supermarkets. The machine itself has never presented me with any problems, is quick to heat up for usage, and is easy to clean. All in all a great purchase!

I decided to venture into a coffee machine after years of drinking instant in a pint mug.
Initially this machine looks expensive but it only boils what you use so you instantly save on electricity.
The coffee tastes amazing and my kitchen smells amazing too so I don’t have to buy air fresheners either.
My only beef would be with the information supplied.
You can see all the bars on the display but there is no accurate information telling you what ml of liquid each bar symbolises and there is nothing telling you the maximum glass height.
I would consider this pretty important information to a consumer.
Clearly if you are buying a fancy coffee machine you want to buy glasses to compliment it and this lack of information makes it so much harder.
I have degrees in engineering so it wasn’t hard for me to figure it out but I doubt most customers who just want a nice cup of coffee will find it so easy without this vital information from the manufacturers.

This is my third De’Longhi machine was a bit taken aback by its small size and weight .. it certainly isn’t as robust as the others but it does deliver a fine cup of coffee and am very pleased with it
My only gripe is that the water container is a bit fiddly to take on and off and would be easier if it had a handle

We have been using a De Longhi Melody 3 Dolce Gusto coffee maker for about ten years. We bought this to replace it after the pump failed (and before I figured out how to fix it) as the Genio S is the closest in functionality. It is smaller (more compact) but has essentially the same controls. It works really well and makes great coffee. The controls are slightly more fiddly – the “start” button requires quite a firm press and is made of soft plastic that feels like it might not last 10 years. The lever for pushing the water nozzle into the pods seems more flimsy but the action is actually easier and punctures the foil cap on the pods with less effort. The water container is also smaller, though plenty large enough for two large cups of coffee, but more difficult to re-attach than its predecessor. I always thought the Melody 3 was a very well made machine, and I think the Genio S has made some improvements and a couple of steps backwards. I can’t see any reason to go for the higher spec Genio S + or Genio S Touch – overall this is a very good machine and very good value at the price we paid for it.
