Seems to be pretty nice quality. We are very satisfied with it. It’s quite heavy (which is a good thing). Only reason for 4 stars is the attachment point for the sphere rings to the base doesn’t seem to be very robust, but we’ll see how it lasts over time. Like others have recommended, I sprayed the inside of the base with Rustoleum before mounting it to our concrete base to hopefully prevent rusting from the inside. The outer surfaces seem to be protected well. Does anyone know what the aiming partial ring is for? The one with the point on one end and the sight on the other?
Edit: I did end up spraying the outside of it as a bit of rust did start showing up pretty quickly. But that took care of it very well. We really like it, and it gets plenty of compliments from others. Keeps pretty good time too!

We recommend that you give it a coat of paint, especially undernearth and inside before installing it. We put it up just before a couple of rainy days and noticed little traces of slightly rusty water coming out from underneath.
It is not a problem really, just something to bear in mind.
All in all it is a great object and we can reccommend it!
As advertised, very nice. I do recommend covering it with a varnish of some type to stop it from quickly rusting.
* Edit- It is now 2020 and it still looks brand new. I do move it into a covered garage in the winter to protect from the deep, heavy snow we get each winter. It’s still one of my favorite yard objects I’ve ever purchased. Very classy and unique.
It is a beautiful and well-made piece of garden art- definitely real iron because this thing is pretty heavy. Customer service was excellent! There was a minor issue at first, but one phone call and the issue was immediately resolved.
