Replaced a corded drill I had for 20 years. No much heavier than the corded one, once I went through testing all the settings I found it easier to use than the older drill, looking for DIY projects just to use it!!
Will admit to being a bit of a DeWalt fan boy as many of my power tools are DeWalt which brings benefits with battery interchangeability. They are in my experience very reliable and durable, I have only ever replaced one hand drill which I wore out after 10/11 years of heavy (amateur) use. For me, hard to see past DeWalt so recommended.
This feels like a quality product but shame about the wobbly chuck. It was so bad that while drilling into wood, the whole drill would bobble. I have had plenty of drill/drivers to know that this is not normal and others have had the same issue on Amazon. I am tempted to order another replacement but may end up with the same issue. DeWalt need to get it sorted as many reviewers on the Toolstation website are complaining about the same issue with different DeWalt models. It seems to be just luck, you either get a perfectly working chuck or a wobbly one.
Powerful, robust and well made.
Easy to use, the capacious battery retains its charge for ages. The LED light is handy when working in poorly lit areas.
Warranty can be easily extended from one to three years for free, if the purchase is registered with DeWalt promptly.
Overall – a great buy.
Perfect for what I need .. light usage amateur DIY. The hammer function really surprised me at how powerful it was. No more extension cables!

Batteries take recharging well – I am still using some from a purchase several years ago.
The little LED light is a real bonus for seeing the bit placement in dark corners.
Great quality but the reason for my 4 star rating was because of the instruction? catalogue is: 1.Very small print
2.Cheap paper catalogue

4.Some numbers with no details.
A quality and expensive product let down by cheap and poorly presented catalogue.
Attaching hinges to a cupboard part of a restoration and installing on a wall , the battery provided excellent power and did not fail to carry out its duties
Bought this drill for lots of reasons, first it has 70NM of Torque thats like Audi/BMW/Mercedes Torques, you need torques if you are going to use this in the Garden with an Auger Drill Bit, that is digging holes for plants or looking for buried treasure with a 600mm Long Drill Bit. Secondly, it has a 3 point 13mm Keyless Chuck that deals most drill bits including Hex Shaped. It has a 48mm Grey Collar so you can put an extra side handle on the drill to keep it steady, you will need a little wooden mallot to tap the side handle onto the drill collar for persuasion, the side handle is sold separately. Battery come three quarters charged, so ready to use and is a 5.0Ah Li-ion a lot more powerful than other 18V cordless drills as it lasts longer. Great Price and Value for Money.

Arrived the drill quickly and looked very nice.
Unfortunately it was a bit too heavy for me and the chuck kept slipping the drill bit.
Had to return it back.
What else do I have to say but “it’s a dewalt”. Nuff said. Brilliant big of kit. Well worth the money.
Along with Makita and Milwaukee, DeWalts are the best power tools in the World.
This BRUSHLESS drill will go perfectly with my DeWalt impact driver – both 18v with interchangable batteries. Boom.
After few times charging the battery i hear a noise we’re I find the charger dead . But the rest is good for every house.
PS: Love that it comes with a T-Stacks case. Which BTW are compatible with the cheaper Stanley stackable cases
Decent Cordless drill with sturdy case and great battery life.
Excellent all-rounder! All metal chuck a good idea, better positioned LED light. 18v 5ah battery very capable, lasts for ages, quick charge time too. Wide range of speed/torque settings and hammer function.
This machine only comes with ONE battery and not two as shown on the picture.
Can’t fault it, drills those holes with ease, nice case too.
