X1 e omni really helps to keep home clean and tidy.
I worried about self filling the water tank which in the body of the robot but when you attach the mops under the robot, it fills the water automatically.
First of all open the box and follow the instructions in the manual. (A very big paper board that shows how to start your robot)
Than after mapping: for the first cleaning tide your home and program your cleaning days and times frim the app. by your phone. (First just suction cleaning all rooms and than attach the mops under the robot and suction+mopping). It can empty itself, washes the mops and dry them automatically nothing to do anything in this part of the job. (But dont forget to control main brush time by time)
A very usefull app that you can use for start or stop cleaning, programming, mapping (3D map section must be improved), mopping, monitoring your home (as an security cam), talk to your pets and people at your home (yes you can talk and hear whoever at home and also see via the cam), buy parts from Ecovacs store (you can use your points that you earn while using the robot).
I am still learning the robot I think there may be more features.
Thanks to Amazon, thanks to Ecovacs.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI previous owned another robot vacuum with mop which was a bit of a pain as the mop started to smell if I didn’t take the mop for a manual clean after every clean and the previous robot.
This robot washes the mop heads and dries them after cleaning has finished, on top of emptying the dustin into throw away bags it is much lower in maintenance.
It’s also faster than my previous robot at cleaning – possibly down to the camera and mapping system IDK for sure
Only negative is taking the mops off to enable vacuum only mode but I’d rather that over cleaning mop heads manually and emptying dustbins.

    Really good

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersI recently purchased the ecovacs deebot x1 omni robot vacuum cleaner from Amazon and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. This robot vacuum cleaner has exceeded my expectations in every possible way.

Starting with its cleaning capabilities, the ecovacs deebot x1 omni does an amazing job in cleaning my home. It easily navigates around furniture and other obstacles without getting stuck or making any mess. The vacuum is also equipped with powerful suction that picks up all the dirt, dust, and hair from my floors, leaving them spotless.

Another thing that impressed me is the convenience of the device. The ecovacs deebot x1 omni comes with a convenient app that I can use to schedule cleanings, set cleaning modes, and even control the device from anywhere. The app is user-friendly and easy to navigate, which makes the device a breeze to use.

Finally, I want to give a shoutout to the exceptional customer service team at ecovacs. I had a small issue with my device and their team was quick to respond and resolve the issue. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure that I was satisfied with my purchase.

In conclusion, I highly recommend the ecovacs deebot x1 omni robot vacuum cleaner to anyone looking for a powerful, convenient, and easy-to-use cleaning device. The exceptional customer service is just the cherry on top of an already amazing product.

Good product. My friend recommended me to buy it. It’s a big product. The cleaning and sanitation speed is very fast. It only takes 20 minutes to clean the whole house. I have been using it for a month. I am very satisfied with the effect function. It can be used remotely with a mobile phone. There is also a voice recognition function. It’s really great. It can also drain the dirty water and then change it into clean water before continuing to clean. It’s worth recommending.

    It’s worth

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersWhen I received such a large product, I was surprised. I didn’t expect such a big unexpected harvest. Cleaning the house is very fast. Our house is made of wooden flooring. So we need to keep it clean at ordinary times. With this big machine, it really helps me a lot. It makes me feel a lot easier. I will use it for nearly two months. There is no problem. The product still works very well. Open it and there is a dirty bucket. A clean water. It can work automatically Replace clean water and start a new round of work. Excellent design. Although the price is expensive, but it is worth the money! It is worth owning and recommending

It’s everything I expected, and the mop with auto-washing is just game-changing, now it mops my home everyday and even the dust on the furniture has disappeared, since it doesn’t have time to accumulate on the floor first.

I have been looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner and I think this is it. Not only does it clean smooth surfaces such as tiles and wooden floorboards but also carpets and rugs. What’s even better is that it doesn’t get stuck moving across the different surfaces.
There are many different functions to explore using the voice command, which I find pretty cool. There are so many technical features from mop washing to drying, even emptying the dust and automatically filling up its water tank. The thin brushes and the mop both really do their respective jobs well and my floors have never been cleaner. It truly saves me a ton of time in cleaning so I can do other things.
Of all the features this machine has, there are two I like the most: that I am able to see the machine’s camera view from my phone and that it returns to its station by itself.
The quality and design are top notch, and certainly worth the money.

The quality and power vacuum I have been looking for.

This is very convenient as it is suitable for all floor types whether it is carpet or wooden flooring. It can vacuum carpets and mop wooden floorings without much hassle and all the water is warmed before applied. The waste water also has room within the machine to empty afterwards.

My house has mix of floor carpet and tiles. So i have been looking for a robot vacuum can fits all. I did a lot of research and finally decided to buy this one and It didn’t disappoint me.
Shipping arrived quickly with well packaged. The product manual is simple and easy. Only take 5 mins to set up and start work. Clean power strong and can cover all the corners. It mop after clean and will return to station automatically wash the mop. Really helpful. Don’t even need your hand to touching the dirty mop. Have very smart AI intelligent voice interaction too. Just simply saying where you want it to clean and will do accurate. Really high tech and smart. Highly recommended to everyone. Very helpful and done the floor perfect.

it did its work. clean well and mop well, the sound is little bit loud, not recommend using at night, the sound after clean was too loud i was scared when first time i use, except that i would say its greater robot cleaner i use currently

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersI’ve been wanting to buy a robot vacuum cleaner for a long time. I bought it 2 times before. It’s worth 400 and 900 but I wasn’t happy at all. I was constantly seeing this cool robot vacuum cleaner and was impressed. Paying a lot of money really makes a big difference for some products. Power, quality, design and everything. What I particularly liked about this product was that it could move on the carpet. It definitely moves on carpet very easily and works great. This was very important to me. Because it was working on the carpet in other machines I bought, but it didn’t work. The machines slowed down a lot and sometimes got stuck in the face of obstacles. The difference of this machine is that it has a more powerful engine and good wheels.

My kitchen and bathroom are marble. That’s why it can move much faster on this ground. Since I have a baby, sometimes there can be wetness and crushed food on the floor. This machine ignores the flour and tries to clean it. But the best method is to run it on a dry surface. Because if it is a colored and sugary liquid, spreading it all over the floor can be a problem. I’m lazy and I’m a little rude to the machine. That’s why I don’t care. Because there are two polish sponges in the robot. In this way, it can perfectly polish hard floors.

In general, it has all the technological features. I won’t use it, but it has features that will come in handy for many people. I like the camera the most. He can talk through the application and those next to the robot can hear me. I can also see the people next to the robot with the camera. If I want, I can take a ride and drive with the robot like a toy. Apart from that, it makes a sketch of the whole house and saves it. It analyzes the location of essential items, corners and other items in the house. It sets the timer and starts vacuuming the house when the house is empty.

One of my favorite features is that it automatically returns to the station after the charge is finished. Yes, many robots can do this, but after the charge is full, it does not continue from where it left off. However, this machine can continue to sweep in whatever position it was in before the end of the charge.

I paid a lot of money but it was worth it. Instead of vacuuming my house for 4-5 hours a week, now I vacuum my house every day and I never waste time. If you’re worried about corner cleaning like me, don’t worry. Because it can reach the bottom points thanks to a thin long brush that extends to the corners and rotates 360 degrees.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe box packing as well as the docking station is massive but with the quality and the features this vaccum cleaner provides its supposed to be huge. Experience till now:
    1. Cleaning – the vaccum and moping, both have multiple level of peer settings. De pending on what level of cleaning is requiere the settings can be done from low to high
    2. Water flow setting – There is a setting to control water flow for mopping which is quite good for different levels of dirt on floor
    3. Maps: you can create multiple maps for different room and select what room or co.bination of rooms you want to clean
    4. In built tanks: large tanks/bin for clean/dirty water and bin for emptying the garbage saving you the efforts for emptying the vacuum after every cleaning cycle
    5. Mops washing : mops are washed on the docking station so every moping cycle is done with clean mops which usually isn’t done with the manual moping

There are many more features like camera (I didn’t find it much useful other then the fact that it’s used to identify objects).
Also noticed that the rocking station must always be powered on else the vaccum cleaner start looking battery unreasonably. I am told by customer service that it uses very less battery but need to understand more around how kuch power it consumes

I havent used the carpet cleaning yet as my house is apl woorden colors so cant really comment on how good this is at cleaning the carpet.

In all, I must say that I am very impressed with the overall build quality of the vaccum cleaner and docking station along with the level of cleanliness it does. Saves lot of my efforts which I used to do manually earlier & wasn’t even mopping every day. Now I vacuum and mop almost every night. Just need to pick up small objects from the floor before it’s nightly scheduled ru

Amazing vacuum with loads if features

This is an upgrade from our N8+ and it has been a huge and well worth upgrade. The suction power is a LOT better. It also seems to be ace at detecting objects and avoiding them unlike N8+ that constantly got itself entangled on wires.
The mopping feature is actually usable. I use the deep cleaning setting and mop twice a week. I have not had to mop manually at all since I bought this.
Overall I am pretty impressed with this machine.

I used a basic functions robot before, whose function is to sweep and vacuum the floor only. It can not mop the floor or automatically collect dust into the dust bag, the price compared to this Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni is much cheaper. Therefore, I still need to replace the mop and clean the mop myselfe, I don’t think tere are too much changes in the house work, so the task of mopping is still my own. My life changed until I saw this X1 Omni robot with all the new technologies!
After carefully read the product’s reviews, I am pretty sure that this product is what I really need! I was supprised when I received it because it actual size was larger than I thought. It looks stylish and well-made.
The whole setup process is very simple. You just need to use your smartphone to scan the QR code and follow the instructions from the APP. The robot can perform regular or voice-controlled cleaning every day according to its own needs.
Beside these points, I can’t really think of any other downsiders. Love it!

I have to Say that technology has changed my life. This item is far beyond my expection!

When you have a wet dog shedding hair this is what you need. Dirty floor gone, floors that look like a ghost town in the wild west, gone.
This just means you don’t spend twice a day everyday cleaning up.
Had an earlier version without the mop, which was great, but the added mop just makes it even better.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersLet me give a considered opinion here- I’ll start with some negatives, but bear in mind I’m keeping this item as I think it is great.
The mapping software need improved. The mapping is ok in my house, but it gets confused by floor to ceiling windows. You can put in boundaries, but not delete imaginary rooms that it appears to find and generate. The software is good at avoiding most things but not three legged pedestal chairs. The voice activated ‘ok yiko’ confuses google, that’s a problem with google not the vacuum, but they should have a completely different wake word considering how well ‘ok google’ is known. The ‘follow my voice’ feature doesn’t work well for me. I think it was designed if you are in a traditional box shaped room, and it doesn’t really follow you from my experience so far. The 3d mapping you see in reviews didn’t work well for me. So I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong. The map labels are from a list and do not include many European names or the ability to create your own label. It would be good to get a laptop version of the app so that I can insert boundaries and furniture accurately. Those things aside it does a great job. I love the self cleaning, the dirt that came off an apparently clean floor was impressive. The spinning mop is much better than the vibrating mop I had on a previous model from the same manufacturer. I expect the next version will have retractable mops as you still have to decide whether you are mooring or vacuuming. If you are mopping you need to click on the mops, not a big deal but when everything else is automated why not this? I want to be able to leave the premises and and have alternate vac and mop. Maybe next model? It is expensive, and as other say it’s got quite a large box, but it is well built and great fun and my wife likes the mopping feature. I would hope they could address the mapping issues in software upgrades at some point, however many regular users will probably not be as finicky as me.

    Update:

The customer service team came through.
The robot is amazing. Most of my home has carpet, we have a big constantly shedding dog. The house is now ALWAYS clean. Life changer

    Old comment below:
I bought this robot cleaner as I’ve been very stressed at work and thought I deserved to not have to come home and hoover my dog’s hair.

Well… was I wrong!! Broomhilda ( as we called it) arrived yesterday and as soon as we turned it on it kept going in circles and would say: error with weel then so moving.
My partner starts getting stressed but I thought oh I am sure it’s nothing I can’t fix… ah!

The bloody left weel is clearly way too stiff and it just not rotate!

Contacted ecovacs customer service who told me to contact amazon. Amazon only offers refund. I don’t want a refund! I bought this product on sale, I should not have to pay full price for it because it was faulty! After speaking to both the automatic amazon reply and 3 different amazon support workers, I was told to recontact ecovacs support team.

Once I managed to speak to them on the phone, I was then told I needed to send an email so I could get a replacement.

I have obviously sent the email but looking at other reviews in here, it might take a while for me to get a replacement.

I will keep you posted and update this when it happens…

I’ve tried a wide range of robotic vacuums over the years, from entry-level vacuums with few features to mid-range vacuums with flagship features, the X1 OMNI by ECOVACS is by far the most advanced and honestly, it might be the holy grail of all robot vacuums you can currently buy.

ECOVACS have practically thought of everything, the X1 OMNI was co-designed with Jacob Jensen (if you’ve never heard of Jacob Jensen he specialises in the manufacturing of watches and modern home appliances), I went over to the website, and you can see his design language being brought over into this vacuum because it just looks classy when it’s sitting in our living room.

It’s a security camera, a vacuum with powerful 5000Pa suction, a phone, and a powerful mop utilising rotating brushes. The base acts as a drying platform so the mop pads don’t get mould or mildew. It works with Amazon Alexa and Google Home, but it also has a powerful voice assistant named Yiko on-board which offers more control than your typical voice assistants.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersSo this is expensive by anyone’s standards but it is very good at cleaning and mopping. A couple of issues if you have different levels this may cause issues ie I have karndean in the kitchen and engineered wood to the lounge and the level is about 20cm difference with a wood joint between the two. The robot struggles to get over it at times and sometimes just gives up. Also if you are in mop mode it will not traverse rugs or mats avoiding all types of carpet. It can be used in just vac mode if needed.
Without doubt though it is very good aside from these couple of issues.

Almost a perfect machine, but could do with an update that stops the mopping pad from rotating while docking, cause it slides all over the place while docking due to the mopping pads, gets there in the end.

To be clear I have owned on the past many robot hooves in upstarts and downstairs but never has like this well planned and fully automated hoover yet.
It has huge build in battery which gives it possibility to clean around without stop over 4hours.
With 3D mapping technology which accurate when setting up zones.
It also has build in camera where can see threw my mobile what’s going on around the hoover.
Hoover has auto self clean , auto mop washing and auto got air drying function.
It’s look like has no limit on function, very modern design.
Overall so far very happy with it, still learning and discovering its endless functions.

I was indeed in a need of a amazing robot vacuum cleaner which can clean a house every day and make it new everyday.
We both work and live with 5 kids and 3 cats so you can imagine the mess everyday in my house. We both were so tired of cleaning house atleast 2 times a day even than did not get satisfied never felt that house is clean.
After so much thinking we decided to spend on this robot as we had tried cheaper one before did not work for us.
Its been 2 weeks we are using it and can’t tell how much happy are we with the performance.
Suction power is just as we wanted and we can even change the suction power according to our needs as some part of the house need more power some little. Self cleaning, self drying the mop and slef emptying the tanks and refilling are the features which were highly required for us.
We are using voice controlling for it and working great. Child lock make it safer to use with kids at home who always play with everything.
Best part is the battery timing which is quite long that’s what we needed as our house is big and lots of mess to clean everyday. We did not expect that any robot will be able to do the job for us but i am happy we found the right one.
The only thing i did not like about it is the size which is quite big but i know it was required for the robot.
A part from that really happy and satisfied with my purchase as every penny i spend was worth spending on it.
    Highky recommended.

Works really well and it maps the area with surprising accuracy. The photo with the dirty water tank shows how well it works. It was taken after the first run when we moved in our new home. Since then the water has been much clearer as we run it once daily on a 2x sweep and mop function.

Get the cleaning solution from ECOVACSHOME – it cleans much better and has a lovely subtle fragrance to it.

This is a very smart automatic robot vacuum cleaner. The box was a bit big when I received it and I couldn’t move it by myself. Add washable Mop Pads and a couple of Auto-Empty Station Dust Bags for free with your purchase. Just install the main seat and washable Mop Pads after opening. Download his app to use it. The setup is also very simple and it is quick to understand how to use it. It can clean up hair and food residues eaten by children very well. It won’t be like the kind of random running around, and it will turn when it hits something. The effect is clearly clean after the robot vacuum cleaner. Very satisfied with a purchase.

My flat is close to a busy main road, so the wooden floors getting a lot of dust in a day. Both my wife and I go to work every day and leaving home early and returning late, we really don’t have time to do the cleanning job. The floors are always very dirty and sticky especially the kitchen area. So, we decided to buy a robet which can do vacuuming and mopping together. after using it for about 3 weeks, I am very happy that I bought the right machine!

Firstly, this machine looks techy and high quality, of course it is not cheap product. following the manual book it was vey simple to set up. This robot making a layout for my flat when running for the first time, and the map is detailed and accurate. Unbelivable how intelliget it is.

There are 2 x 4L tanks in the station – clean and dirty water tanks. On the first few uses you can see water is so dirty in the tank after mopping. I have set up an auto cleaning schedule – clean once every day. after 2 days, you can clearly see that the water in the dirty tank is much cleaner. Now the floors of my flat are very clean, no dust and sticky anymore.

I like to control the machine by the mobile App. there are many useful functions including live video and Voice Assistant which are making fun. My favourite feature is that I can customise clean preference for different area such as vacuum power and mopping water flow levels. the kitchen is the dirtiest area, so I selected max vacuum power and high water flow lever for mopping for the best clean result but for the rest area the standard level is good enough.

The only weak point is that this machine is quite big for my little flat, but it is acceptable. I think it is more suitable for a big house.

I will definitely recommend this robot to my friend.

Excellent Robot - Making Life Easier!

Contrary to what others have stated, Ecovacs after-sales costumer support is as good as it comes. Ecovacs contacted me, and even though I am not directly their costumer ( I purchased the Omni X1 via Amazon ) they went well beyond anything I have ever seen before to arrive at a resolution that is to my entire satisfaction. That says it all.

The issue has been resolved and so, I have updated the score to 4 stars.

This robot was incredibly good at vacuuming and moping our home, the app was good ,mapping was excellent, object avoidance was working as it should, in short, all good and dandy, happy days.
That is until today (11-10-2022), The dirty water tray will get full up, and the machine would not empty it.
This is obviously a known issue as there’s instructions in the Ecovacs website as to how to solve it. We followed the instructions in the Ecovacs website to no avail.
For a machine that costs 1500 when not on offer, this is a very bad show.
Very disappointed as up to today we were very happy, but sadly, is going back. To fail in just one month, it’s simply not aceptable and, we don’t want to be going back and forth to have factory repairs (or replacements) until the guaranty runs out.
Thankfully, it was purchased in Amazon, and as it is usual, there is no argument.

It has always been a wish of mine to get this ECOVACS DEEBOT X1 OMNI. I finally took the bait when I noticed the massive discount voucher on offer taking this to within the top end of our budget. We are a hectic family, having 3 messy teenagers (and all the friends that that involves) a dog and a cat. Using an automated vacuum system has definitely help save us cleaning time and also importantly taught us as a family to keep the floor reasonably free of major rubbish and obstructions for the robot vacuum cleaner to work effectively.
If you are thinking of getting a robot vacuum cleaner, this is model is the business. It exceeds all previous ones I have tried or seen used in friends and family’s houses. As a full unit, it is by far the largest and heaviest in comparison.
The best thing about this model is that once programming has been done, it is practically fully automated requiring very little or no attention on a day to day basis.
Functionally, it does all the usual things that you would expect a robot vacuum cleaner of this price and specifications. The things that set this apart is that it does them better. It cleans more consistently well and as I mentioned before, it operates independently with less attention. This is obviously due to better programming and software.
I took the advice of previous owners in reusing the docking bag by manually removing the majority of the rubbish into the bin. Good for environmental considerations.
After a couple of weeks use and using it daily, our conclusion is that we are happy having stretched our budget and getting this top of the range Ecovac. Its cleaning ability and simple usage has made it a joy to own.

Amazing piece of technology. Save up and buy the best.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersOkay so it’s a robot Vac and its advanced pretty much says that in the blurb of the device. A few things it doesn’t.

One it really doesn’t cover off laminate floors and after using a wet mop hoover for a while my concern was it was just too wet for laminate so we used to have to use kitchen towel afterwards to dry the floor – Dee (sorry not original I know) has a low water setting and its so much better, its not soaking the laminate and dries quickly whilst doing a great job on cleaning the laminate.

Waste water error – After a few times had an error that the tray couldn’t be cleared, this seems to be an initial machine issue and is easily resolved by pulling the black rubber bungs for the water waste and putting them back – I think factory is fitting them too snug.

Finally my only gripe – it won’t do carpet with the pads attached – I kinda understand why if there wet however as it dried the pads it should be possible to tell it to hoover carpeted area first then resort to mopping the hard floor (assuming like us it doesn’t live in a carpeted room)

Sure its a fair bit to put down on a hoover but its so much more advanced than the cheaper ones (we have a eufy 15C and its now moved upstairs to randomly bounce around the bedrooms)

Final positive is being able to go check on the dog when we are out which he loves – NOT 🙂

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersNegative – Price

    Positive –

The tech packed into this robot and self cleaning station is truly amazing, finally a robot cleaner which cleans our rooms and also clean itself so we don’t have to. Installation took me around 30 minutes and most of that was unpacking it from the massive box it comes with.

Out of the box there is the docking station which house the clean and dirty water tanks on the top, the vacuum dust drawer where the vacuum bag is installed in the mid section and then the lower opening for the robot to charge and the mop washing area. What set this machine above the rest is that the X1 uses 2 rotating mop head to clean the floor, it can regulate how much water to use and once finished cleaning it will dock and clean the mop head so you don’t have to! It will then suck out the dirty water and place it into the tank and then heat air dry the mop heads to avoid bacteria built up. This means there is no human intervention needed except regular empty the dust tank and the dirty water tank. Add clean water and it is ready to go.

Everything setting and function can be accessed via the phone app, we set it to clean our kitchen daily once we are asleep in bed and so far it is like magic and clean room every morning. The robot will auto scan the room and shows you the layout as a map on your phone app and this is the most accurate robot I have used so far. We pick it up and place it on our 1st and 2nd floor and let it auto clean and the result on carpet is equally amazing as the kitchen. It colour code all the different rooms and was able to detect bathroom, toliet, bedroom correctly. Never once it get stuck like other robot so far, it accurately avoided any random stuff we had laying around which was not expected.

It is also a security camera on wheels, you can set it to do routine patrol around the house or remotely connect to the robot and do a video call with your pets or family. The video and audio is on par with some of the high end home monitor on the market, all you need is a phone and internet access for the robot and your phone.

It comes with 2 spare mop heads, 1 spare dust bag. Replacement parts seems easier to get than some other less known brand robots. Overall we are very happy with the X1 and it helped out our family a lot.

Thank you for your time and I hope you find our review helpful

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersHaving seen numerous videos of the Ecovac Deebot omni X1 I was very impressed how versatile and intelligent it is. It does a very thorough clean on all surfaces, vacuuming or mopping. It did take a while to get it to connect to my wifi but once connected its remained stable, no dropping out. The one thing I hadn’t realised is that when the cleaning pads are attached, you are unable to use it on any carpeted areas. You have to remove the pads before it will venture into any carpeted are. To use the mopping feature you then have to attach the cleaning pads. Therefore you cannot do a full house scheduled clean and mop, say if you were at work or out for the day. Considering the price of the unit 1499.00 you would expect it to be fully and totally automatic. The videos and ads very carefully avoid that fact. Hence my disappointment and only 4 stars. I would recommend this unit to anyone, there is no doubt it is a very clever and sophisticated cleaner. I have to say I am very impressed by the standard of cleaning power.

I bought this robo vacum after watching some reviews on youtube. I ordered it when Amazon had their July sale, where is was considerably cheaper. I was reassured by the fact that I could try it out for 30 days and return it if I did not get on with it. This is what I also reassured my husband with when I ordered it. Well when it arrived my husband set it up, a new toy for him to play with. He ran it every night for a week both on mop and vacum mode. Finally he said to me “I hate to say this but it’s actually pretty good, we can keep it.” He also loves the camera on the front so when in security mode he can check on the dogs when he goes into work.

I can’t really fault this. It does what it was designed to do. Cleans, makes it was around the house. Returns to the station to clean itself.
The remote viewing is great for the pets.

Obviously it’s not perfect. There are places it can’t reach; but it is a keeper!

VERY expensive though, and with wearable parts, it locks you in to further purchases.

Not had to clean the floors since I got it!

The Deebot X1 Omni is an amazing purchase for someone like myself who cant stand housework.

The robot has 5000Pa of suction which is one of the strongest robots on the market, it has all the latest software with TrueMapping 2.0 and SLAM Technology and it has app integration, voice interaction, two way audio and a whole host of smart features.

The best bit is the self emptying and water changing functions. The device not only vacuums and mops for you, it also empties itself and changes out the dirty water for clean, meaning you only really need to do something every few months and the rest of the time your floors and carpets are kept immaculate.

Great product, it is expensive but considering it’s almost completely autonomous, I think it’s a great value for money purchase.

This is really a robot from the future.
I gave it four stars and the reason for this is the first one arrived defective and on the second one they’ve send out got lost in the network of DPD.
The only downside of this machine is when tried to clean the first floor the machine stops in the middle of its job and tried to get back to the dock so can refill some water. Honestly our house isn’t even that big. So you have to pick it manually bring it downstairs and the problem is it wouldn’t resume where it stoped. If they resolve this problem would give five stars.

As a household of 1 with a large double coated dog, full time job and 4 storey house, I decided I needed some help on the cleaning department for the dog living areas.

After some research I settled for the X1 Omni based on suction power, mopping and largely self cleaning functions price was not a pro but it looked good on paper.

On arrival I almost had a coronary! Box was absolutely huge and the unit inside was quite large but I thought what the heck.. let’s give it a shot!

Initial setup was fairly easy.. a good 5 mins to attach the brushes and pads, fill up the clean water tank, register on the site and connect to the network and we were good to go!

For the initial mapping I removed all dog toys (and dog) from the floor and made sure all furniture were in their normal place.

Going into the app I adjusted the settings (photo 4) about the work I wanted done and let the Deebot loose on my floors.

Initial mapping was impressive and navigation was excellent. The bot managed to get under chairs and tables and even managed to navigate a tripod sculpture by the window and just get in those corners. At that moment I realised I had a trooper in my hands

Having selected double everything (vacuum x2, mopping x2, max vacuum power and extra wet mopping) it took the bot around 55 mins to do 220sq.ft and a good 80% battery power over a split level wood ground floor.
    (Photos 2&3 pink areas).

Obviously the bot cannot climb stairs or steps yet so I had to manually move it up to do the foyer and stand guard when it was mapping the area to make sure it doesn’t fall of the steps to the living room or stairs to the basement floor.. astonishingly it never attempted to ‘commit suicide’ and established the correct boundaries!!!

Noise was within acceptable levels and surprisingly it didn’t bother the dog (who gets freaked out by the Dyson).

At the end of the job at the foyer it kept trying to find the base until it asked me to move it down the steps so it can go home. Fair play!

On return to the base it emptied the vacuum and washed the pads which took about a couple minutes tops and then quietly started drying.

The job was great and my wooden floors were and ‘felt’ clean.

The scheduling function is an absolute godsend.. I set it up for the living room before I wake up but can’t hear a thing in the bedroom, 2 floors up. You can even start it when on the road.

It would have been an 11/10 if the bot mopping water tank was a little bigger so it doesn’t have to return and refill when it mops but it does the job seamlessly and on the plus side when it goes home it cleans its pads and goes back to finish the job.

As a guy I also like my toys so did use the house monitoring video function and microphone function to talk to the dog and scare my cleaning lady!

    In summary:
2 weeks in, I’m extremely happy with my daily cleans, haven’t had any malfunctions or issues with connectivity or tangled hair and maintenance of the base and bot is very easy.
Voice control is ok- most of the time Yiko is responsive and follows orders. The app is good but hopefully will be improved in time (remember the bot software updates automatically).
I haven’t done the 3D mapping yet as I don’t have the need and prefer an all over cleaning.

Given the fact that I use all functions x2 every time, I’m happy with the time it takes and power consumption and in my case I refill and change water almost twice weekly.

I did get the bot on Prime Day for under a 1000 GBP so I consider it a good investment as it comes with a 2 year warranty.

I am a homemaker and it is very difficult for me to clean the entire house with my 3 kids. My kids will do all mischievous things like cutting paper into pieces and throwing them on the floor and also, they will spill their food all over the house during lunch and dinner. For me, it is difficult to clean the house on my own. Then I bought this ECOVACS DEEBOT X1 OMNI Robot Vacuum Cleaner to clean my house. It is working very effectively. It can fill the water tank in the cleaner automatically. The vacuum cleaner will rotate its mopping pads and clean the floor effectively compared to other vacuum cleaners. Due to its auto clean and hot air drying of mopping pads feature so that they will not get any bad smell. This Robot vacuum cleaner will map our house first and then will clean the house accordingly without missing any area. Through this front camera, we can view the house and take photos in the house. We can interact with family members through its audio communication system. It is the best Robot vacuum cleaner I’ve ever used.

Great Vac on wood and carpet, comparable to dyson or Henry suction. Barely any maintenance. I’ve set it on a schedule so the floors look like I’ve had a cleaner in everyday when I get home from work, so lovely. Very pleased and recommend.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHaving had a little robot vacuum before, I was getting annoyed with having to remove the bag from within the thing. So I splashed out on this, purely for the ease of cleaning and emptying and it certainly is easier – the robot empties itself into a disposable dustbag which you access through the front drawer. There is also a water resevoir which again the robot takes what it needs and dumps the dirty water back, both of which are accessible from the top of the base unit. The base unit does have buttons on the top to return the robot, start cleaning and empty dustbin, but these functions are also accesible via voice control or of course within the app.

The app maps out a full overview of your house after the initial scan and will even create a 3D view of it which may help some to visualise it, it also allows you to set times for it to start up everyday meaning that it can be left to do it’s own thing and only touched when you need to empty the bag, the dirty water or fill the clean water. The app also tells you if you need to clean out any parts like brushes or even replace parts which may be counted as consumables.

Obviously it is expensive, but it really is worth the extra money, if only for the peace of mind and it means I don’t have to do the cleaning!

Big and expensive, but worth the money

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersThe ECOVACS DEEBOT X1 OMNI is beyond impressive. The device has a really impressive 5000Pa of suction which I think is the best on the market. It has an incredible base station that you stock with clean water and it will empty the waste bin of the vacuum and remove used water and replace it with clean water so it can vacuum and mop for weeks at a time without needing any input from a human being.

The X1 OMNI has so many other impressive features beyond the auto emptying and cleaning functions though, as it also has one of the most sophisticated and intelligent robot vacuums on the market. The device is very simple to get hooked up to your WiFi using an app on your phone. It has TrueMapping Navigation, 3D obstacle avoidance and even a built in camera to help it get a better idea of it’s surroundings

The overall functionality is incredible, the device looks great and fits in well in a utility room beside recycling bins etc and it’s really simple and easy to empty and change water, just lift the top cover and it can be done in seconds.

The robot has really intelligent mapping functionality and great navigation. It doesn’t miss a thing, it’s GPS is accurate to inches and the app can be used to do so many things, including AI Voice Interaction.

Overall it’s probably the best robot vacuum on the market, it’s suction is highly impressive, the battery life is excellent the functionality is crazy and overall despite the high price tag, I still think this is a good value for money purchase in the long term.

    Love it completely

The X1 OMNI is ECOVACS newest and most advanced robot vacuum cleaner from the DEEBOT series. It has a plethora of amazing features, and in my opinion is the ultimate and most premium robot vacuum on the market.

The station has a 4L water tank, 4L wastewater tank and a 3L dust bag; these huge capacities allow the user to not have to empty and refill the compartments regularly, as it takes an incredibly long time for these to fill.

As for the vacuum itself, it’s a huge improvement from earlier models; it has new technology such as TrueDetect 3D 2.0 and AIVI object recognition, these work well at strategically cleaning and avoiding obstacles.

The suction power is worth noting too, 5000Pa is 2-3 times more powerful than the typical robot vacuum you see on Amazon, the powerful motor picks up all dust and dirt the first pass through, so it doesn’t need to repeatedly clean the same areas unlike some cheaper less efficient vacuum cleaners.

I don’t use the YIKO voice assistant often, however my wife does, and she likes the totally hands-free experience as she can issue specific commands like “Yiko, clean the living room”, and you can specify areas and rooms on the app.

The mapping technology is astoundingly advanced, previous vacuum cleaners I’ve had used LDS technology which was 10x slower than TM 2.0. This improved software also ensures that the vacuum doesn’t get stuck on any small objects that might be missed with other software.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersThe Ecovacs deebot X1 omni (or “Bert” as he’s known in our house) has been an absolute gamechager for us. We are a busy couple, working from home with two big, hairy dogs who are constantly shedding hair and tramping dirt into the house – to the point where we were having to vacuum and mop the floors two or three times a day. We had considered getting a cleaner in but that is very expensive (and feels kindof weird for people who were raised in not-well-off households) and that would only solve the problem for two days of the week.

I did a lot of research into robot vacuums before deciding on Bert – most of them require manual emptying which kindof does away with the whole point of having a device that you can schedule to do a task and then leave to get on with it – so a device which self-emptied was a must. Same with the mop – we needed something that would mop the floors, but we knew from experience that the mop would get filthy really quickly and we have a large ground floor which would take more than a single robot-sized tank of water to clean, so a mop which also self-emptied was a must.
Which shortens the list of available devices significantly – to basically this and the roborock s7 which wasn’t available at the time.
The device was undoubtedly VERY EXPENSIVE – this can only really be justified if you’re considering it against getting a cleaner 2 or three times a week – in which case it will have paid for itself in 6 months.
    So, was it worth it?
Well, I’m about a month in and I have to say Bert has exceeded all our expectations. He’s not without problems – our dog’s long hair does get tangled around his main brush once every 2-3 days, causing him to stop mid-clean and cry out for attention (and if this is during the night then he just sits there forlornly until the next morning – with a half-empty battery, which means he’s unable to do his morning chores effectively) – but on the whole he does a great job – the vacuum is as effective as our Miele cylinder (and of course gets under the sofas, tables etc where we can’t get) and the mop is super effective also. The effect is cumulative – Bert is set to go around twice a day and after a day the floors are cleaner than they ever have been (and we aren’t arguing about whose turn it is to run the mop round). It’s important to state that we don’t have carpets downstairs (where Bert operates) – I’ve read numerous reviews of Ecovacs devices which say they’re not great at cleaning carpets – and the X1 has no way of lifting its mops to do carpets – you have to manually remove them if you want to use it as just a vacuum for carpets – which would be a complete showstopper for me – the whole point of this device is that you set it up and then leave it go get on with it.

We’ve not had to empty the bag in the main unit yet, but we have had to clean the base – which is tricky – the device washes its mopping pads in a “sink” in the bottom of the base unit – if there’s lots of grit being picked up (because dogs are bringing in soil on their paws for example) then this accumulates in the sink and can block the drain (the base unit sucks the water from the drain into its dirty water tank after every cleaning – when the drain gets blocked you have to grovel on the floor with a provided brush and it’s a bit hard to see what you’re doing) – but once you know that this can happen, then it’s not too complicated to figure out.You have to keep on top of the water tanks obviously – the base unit isn’t “plumbed in” there are two tanks, for clean and empty water, that the device uses to empty/refill itself when it comes back mid clean. He requires fairly regular cleaning – (detangle the brush, clean muck and gunk from inside the brush channel, clean his sensors etc) but this is much easier than doing similar maintenance on a cylinder vacuum brush-head.

I’ve tried using the voice-command thing (“OK Yiko, clean the kitchen”) and it’s as rubbish as every other voice assistant – I hate them, fortunately the app is pretty good and tapping on “kitchen” to clean the kitchen is not too hard.

I haven’t got another device to compare Bert to, so can’t say whether he’s better or worse than any other robot vac/mop but he’s become a welcome addition to my household.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersBeing new to having a robot vacuum, I didn’t really know what to expect and having bought what was at the higher cost range, I suppose I had high expectations. To be honest, it was a flip between the this and the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.

All I need to say is that this is brilliant, the mapping was done in less than 10mins and we have circa 1,500sq ft of downstairs floor area.

It works really well on the hard floor and honestly it has been as good on the areas that have carpet.

We have four dogs and one of the sheds very heavily, so Robert (as I have named him) comes out twice a day to clean and mop the floor.

Oh and the mopping function is brilliant too – I couldn’t believe how clean the floor was.

My ONLY very small issue is that I wish it would charge up a little faster, that is my only very small constructive improvement requirement. That said, we have a large house and it does need a lot of charge to finish the job. On a smaller house, this wouldn’t even be an issue.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI own another ecovacs so kind of know how good quality vacuum cleaners works but I wasn’t expecting this results to be honest. I have quite large area of laminate flooring so having mop and vacuum cleaner in one is great concept. First of all the unit is big, bigger then I thought but this doesn’t bother me at all as it looks really nice. Performance of it is something very special, suction power is really good, not sure how did they managed to achieve that but is really good. Mopping is as good as manual mopping it does great job there. Mapping the area, smart features, patterns, obstacles avoidance plus the camera makes it truly special thing, another league to other cleaners. It’s definitely not the cheapest around but as far as I know is the most advanced vacuum cleaner on the planet so price tag reflects that. For all what it does I would say the price is justified. I did not touch the floor with broom or mop since buying it. Great thing to have to be honest. Definitely worth the money. Love i

Golden Review Award: 20 From Our UsersThe Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni is the Bentley of robot vacuums, this device is all singing, all dancing and absolutely out performs my previous robots by a very very long mile.

The robot first of all has an “all-in-one station” where it lives when not hard at work. It can both mop and vacuum and at the all in one station it can empty dirty water and fill up with clean water, whilst also emptying the waste bin of any vacuumed up dirt or debree.

The robot itself is incredibly powerful have 5000Pa of suction, outperforming most competitors robots that are around the 2000-2500Pa mark. The technology is also very impressive, the robot learns as it vacuums and constantly updates it’s mapping software with obstacles and finding better and more efficient ways to clean round the rooms and it has a phone app for control and even a live view from the robots cameras while cleaning.

There are so many features of this robot that are very impressive and some a little weird but very cool to have, liek the two way talk. I’ve already been able to get a hold of my wife when she’s left her phone in the other room using the robot vacuum. She found it incredibly creepy that the robot started talking to her in my voice but I have to say I found it great fun!

There is a lot to talk about with the OMNI robot and albeit very pricey, I still think it’s worth the money, especially if you have large rooms that needs regular vacuuming and mopping. This robot will mean you never have to bother again.

Puts any other robot vacuum to shame

Golden Review Award: 32 From Our UsersHaving had a few robot cleaners so far, i can safely see that this is by far the best robot cleaner i have had so far.

Yes, it’s a bit of a sizeable contraption, it sits quite tall and needs to be up against a wall in order to work properly, however apart from that it does virtually everything else itself.

When you get it, you need to unwrap a load of different compartments and a few satisfying film peels until you finally have the dock and the cleaner in place and plugged in, once done you then follow the instructions on the lid to install the app and set it to start mapping your house, once mapped you have access to a 2D and a 3D map of the whole thing which in the 3D map you can then add furniture etc to make it look more and more like your home, this helps with telling the cleaner to go clean under the table / the sofa, etc.

The mapping process is a lot of fun to watch, it’s not like the old school cleaners that bump into things to read it, this one walks around the middle of rooms mapping everything from a distance without going anywhere near the walls or furniture.

Then you can play around with the settings, i have mine on a schedule to come on with the maximum strength suction going over twice per clean at midnight every single day, doing this gives you a cross hatched clean almost as pleasing as leaving lines on your lawn so you come down to an immaculate carpet every morning.

Emptying the dock means removing the bag from the docs draw and throwing it away or, like me, you can pull the rubbish out of that bag and reuse it twice in a row (i wouldn’t want to do more as the pores would get blocked and reduce it’s vacuum power.

Sometimes you still have to take out the dust box in the robot itself and empty it as some items are slightly too heavy to be pulled out by the dock like small stones etc (we have kids who seem to leave weird thing everywhere), however that’s not a frequent need and just for me comes as part of the general cleaning maintenance which i do when the robot tells me to.

All in, if you’re looking for a robot to do 99% of the work for you, this does it in a very satisfying way to the point that i just expect immaculate floors everyday now.

Finally Robots that do everything for you

Golden Review Award: 26 From Our UsersOverall Verdict 4.8 out of 5

This is the Rolls Royce of Robot vacuum and mopping with dust empty and full mop washing station. I have tried the Roborock S7 and Dreame Bot W10 but this beats them on the following:
    Higher vacuum suction power
Twin side brushes and oscillating mop pads
The mapping system was faster and more detailed.
Many more functions including on board camera to help with mapping and obstacle avoidance as well as security patrolling
Best feature especially for me as I am blind is the onboard voice operated command function, simply say “clean kitchen” directly into the Robot and off it goes. It is also Alexa and google ready too.
The on-board camera allows you to patrol your house with your phone along with two way conversation. Brilliant if it were to ever get stuck, though it hasnt yet (see video).
Very easy setup even for a blind person.
Best looking out of all its competitors and probably the quietest.
If you want the best vacuum and mop with full automation and can afford this, then don’t waste time looking at the others like I did.
The UK based tech support are really helpful and accessible too, not Chinese or European based staff with language issues etc.

Best robot vacuum for visually impaired

Golden Review Award: 53 From Our UsersWhere to start, I’ve been a big fan of robot vacuums for a few years now because lets face it, with 3 kids and a dog in the house they make your life easier!!! I started out in 2019 with a Neato D750, and then I discovered there were models that also mopped the floor too. I purchased the Roborock s6 maxv, which was great because it had obstacle avoidance but I wasn’t impressed that the ‘mop’ feature was essentially dragging around a wet cloth.

This led me to my first Ecovacs, the T8 AIVI. What a fantastic robot vacuum that is in its own right. A little helper that has built in obstacle avoidance, accurate mapping, and a mop that actually vibrates to agitate dirt off your floor. I enjoy this robot so much I purchased the Auto empty station for it, which is essentially a dock the robot sits on at the end of its cleaning run and self empties the dustbin into a bagAmazing right!

The only downside to the T8 is the fact you still have to top up the onboard water tank and change the mop pads. Here I am enjoying an increasingly lazy life, but I still have to visit the robot to sort the mop out 🙁 Well my friends no more, the X1 is truly the lazy mans dream!!! This machine is truly a work of art.not only is the vacuum very powerful, with great navigation, obstacle avoidance but the auto empty station now takes care of the mops too.

All I have to do now is top up the base station with water and let the robot do its own thing. It goes out scrubs my floors brilliantly with its rotating mop pads, returns to the station, cleans the mops and refills the onboard water tank. All I actually have to do now is occasionally empty the dirty water tank and dust bag from the auto empty station and thats it. In fact i’m planning on training the kids to do that job, so it is quite frankly a hands free experience 🙂

Setup was extremely easy, the app is simple to use and I was impressed at just how fast the robot was able to map my home. Yes thats right, these robots map your home so you can tell them where to go 🙂 Most robot vacuums will start mapping by cleaning endlessly until they have been everywhere, which is actually quite annoying when your trying to set them up for the first time. The x1 patrols the house creating a detailed map, much more quickly so you can get to the most important bitsending it out to clean where you want it to go!!

I cannot recommend this machine enough! Ecovacs are a great company, customer service has always responded to my queries quickly, they are constantly updating their productsmy T8 has had loads of software updates with new features so I know they will support the x1 for a long time. Don’t let the price put you off, you could spend more than this on a irobot s9, and that doesnt mop or have intelligent navigation so whats the point!

1yr later – And I still love it!!!! Its still my best purchase in years!!! Deebots works twice a day in my house, after breakfast he is put on upstairs and then downstairs when we go to bed, id be lost without him and recommend him to all my friends and family 1000%

    Update:
Recently deebot had a malfunction with the driver wheel, customer service was second to none with reply time & suggestions on how to fix, but unfortunately nothing worked and ecovacs arranged collection for repair, it was super easy! Just print label and drop off at collection point.
Although it was only a short time that I had Deebot (3wks) I was completely lost without him all in all it took 2.5wks for his return but I’m happy to say he is working away making my life so much easier! After my experience with ecovacs customer service & repair I would have no hesitation in recommending or purchasing from again
The best purchase of the decade!

Ive had deebot for nearly a week, and he’s been put to work twice a day, upstairs mainly carpet and down stairs mainly tiles and wood flooring and its an absolutely brilliant little machine, yeah it goes randomly around the place, but when you go to check, your floors are clean and at an affordable price! Every morning I wake up to clean floors do yourself a favour and get one
My BEST BUY of the Decade!! I just love it, and would already feel lost without i

We have two dogs that like the leave hair everywhere, and cleaning up after them meant having to vacuum the entire house up to two times a day.

The robot can be scheduled to come on at certain times of the day, and it does work, however, we use a mixture of scheduling and manually telling it to do its thing.

I’m not going to say the robot is perfect, because it is not. But it has reduced our need to vacuum with the big hoover to once or twice a week, and using the robot to do ‘top up’ sweeps of the house and it does a pretty good job.

The robot does occasionally get lost and will need help every so often to find home when it needs to recharge. All we do is pick it up when we know it wants to recharge and stick it within sight of its base unit. We have recently discovered that you can also use the app to manually take control of the robot and direct it back to base too.

Robot does get stuck on our doormat by the front door because it is down a 2cm drop, and the sensor does not recognise it has a drop, so we have a temporary block in that area until we can find a solution.

The Alexa controls are a bit clumsy, so I don’t really use it.

Only after purchase did I look at the cost of replacement parts (brushes etc.) And it does appear to be a little steep, but there does appear to be compatible alternatives for a fraction of the cost.

One room in the house does have 2 steps going down, and the robot obviously can’t get down there, so once we have decided it’s had enough of the main part of the house, we pick it up and place it down there for the remainder of its charge, and it does the job.

Almost perfect! Makes keeping the house clean much easier although there is room for improvement. If you’re thinking of buying one of these, there are a few things to think about. It’s great for hard floors which I have plenty of but it doesn’t like thicker rugs and the brushes are starting to wear out quicker than they should so I’ve resorted to pulling up the thicker rugs and hoovering them separately which rather defeats the object. It doesn’t like rugs with tassels as they get caught. You have to spend quite a bit of time preparing the room before you can use the hoover as it needs to be able to move around easily so using the autoclean isn’t really an option. The battery life is lower than I wanted and as I have quite a bit of floor space, the hoover can’t clean my house in one go. It does pick up alot of dust though, I have to empty quite alot so it’s doing its job. It has a mind of its own, it goes over areas it’s already done and is a bit random. Having said all that, I’m glad I bought it but probably should’ve gone for an upgraded version.

I have had a robot vacuum before and it was so useless i sent it straight back. So I was dubious about trying another one. This one is brilliant, I am so happy with it. I have 4 shedding cats, and using this vacuum daily keeps ontop of the hair and tiny bit of cat litter they carry all over the house.
It’s quiet, cheaper than most others, just leave it to crack on, and the job gets done.
I don’t have Alexa so can’t comment on this.
I downloaded the app no problems, but tbh I just press the button on it when I want it to go. And take it upstairs and press the button, it gets everywhere eventually. Doesn’t use the most sensible routes, but if you leave it long enough it will cover the entire floor area.
It goes up and over door mats and from vinyl to carpet no problem.
It doesn’t have too many fancy features, but I think they’re unnecessary anyway. It vaccuums well.. what more could you want from this plucky little chap?
My hesitation before buying was that the suction is listed as 1000 pa, others are more, even up to 3000 pa so I thought the suction may be poor. However, it is more than adequate somehow. I have to empty after every use, and I use it every day. It helps me keep onto of the house work, as I keep everything picked up off the floor, and Herbert does the hard bit.

I love this product so much! Honestly, if you’re on the fence, just get it. It seems like the bad reviews on here are really only about occasional faults which can happen with any electrical item. It’s exactly what I needed. I clean my house VERY regularly (ocd) but because we have 6 cats, they tend to leave a lot of hair and bits of kibbles all over the place. This deals with it brilliantly so now I don’t have to clean every night after getting home from work. I was concerned about the suction before buying but it really is great. The image I included was what the robot collected AFTER I’d been round the floor with the hoover and mop. Amazing. Picks up the bits of cat biscuits better than my normal vacuum and it’s a Shark. It’s not as noisy as the Shark, or its handheld version. You can have a conversation easily with it running. Does a great job at covering our large kitchen diner floor and carpeted living room. Easily avoids obstacles and gets itself unstuck from things without intervention. If I had one tiny issue it would be that it is slightly bigger in size/diameter than I was expecting but that’s not really an issue, now is it. It will appear when watching it that it goes into that same areas all the time and you’ll be concerned it isn’t getting everywhere but by the time it’s completed a cycle it will have. It does get to everywhere even if it doesn’t look like it.
Easily one of, if not the best purchase I’ve made for the house.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get it!

I’ve had this just over a month now and it’s honestly the best thing I’ve ever bought. I’ve told everyone I know about it as I’m so pleased, wish I’d got him sooner!

We’ve named him Hector although we tend to call him Deebot as Alexa doesn’t understand anything other that this. Works great with Alexa if I’m in another room and want to set him off, otherwise I just press his button as I walk past and off he goes.

He doesn’t actually save me any time as I tend to find myself wandering around after him and watching him clean!

He picks up a surprising amount so I find I need to empty him after a couple of times (I run him daily as we have kids and cats so lots of food bits, hair and scattered litter every day)

He’s done a great job so far, he occasionally gets stuck on the little ledge next to my patio doors, it’s about an inch high so he gets the front on and then gets stuck. Sometimes manages to reverse and get himself down but I’ve had to rescue him a couple of times! Also under my TV unit, he manages to push some items blocking him out of the way and then gets stuck under there too.

I’d definitely get another if this one stopped working, I’d probably upgrade to one with room mapping to prevent it trying to get places that it shouldn’t but that’s my only negative!

I hesitated about buying one of these for so long and I’m sorry I waited. These really aren’t just a gimmick or some cheap half replacement for a vac. The amount of dust and dog hair this thing manages to pick up and the way it leaves my carpet when he’s finished his rounds is amazing. Our black shepherd sheds a quite a bit and you really can’t tell anymore. Eddie the Deebot takes off every morning downstairs on his timed round and leaves the place spotless with very little noise. He really is surprisingly quiet. The dog just ignores him now which is great as some animals can get funny around them. I use Alexa integration with ease and can tell deebot to start, stop and return to charger which all work instantly. The remote is a handy feature for some but I never really use it as the app and Alexa due to the job. Maintenance is quick and easy and parts are cheap to replace. The unit arrives well packaged and feels like a quality product built to last. Do not expect smart room mapping at this price but to be honest I don’t think it’s really needed in most average size homes. The random patterns around the central floor and then sequenced pattern of twisting in the edges of the room manage to cover everywhere just fine and it’s quite entertaining watching his random movements as he returns to his charger. I hope to keep this guy running for years to come and would replace with another deebot – maybe a mop one next time. My advice? Buy one! You won’t regret it.

I bought this because I hate hoovering. It’s great for cleaning floors, especially hard ones which most of those in my flat are. It does struggle a little on carpets, and a conventional vacuum cleaner will still be needed for cleaning upholstery etc. It is easy to programme and to maintain and surprisingly powerful but not very noisy. The battery lasts about two hours which I find to be more than adequate. It is not, though, the most modern of these devices, and the app for it will not work with, for example, a BT HALO Wifi router. I marked it down a star for that although I think it only a minor inconvenience as the timer function using the hand-held controller is simple to use and works well: in any case, how often would one need to order it remotely to start work? A slightly bigger issue is it still gets stuck under some furniture but again, this is a cavil. Overall, definitely worth the cost and I’m very pleased with it. My flat is a good deal neater than it was thanks to being hoovered daily.

I purchased the Deebot when it was on sale for 150.
It arrived on time and it’s simple enough to put together.
Software download is pretty standard and integration with Alexa easy. I have had to reconnect it to Alexa on several occasions as it disappears off the device menu frequently.
The ecovac’s app is simple and straightforward as well. You get to rename your device however Alexa does not recognise the naming.
The dbot comes with a remote which allows several functions to be used for example single room cleaning, Edge cleaning and scheduling to name but a few.
I scheduled Alexa to run at 1 a.m and after 1-night decided to cancel this as when in operation the device can be quite loud. Unfortunately Deebot still runs every night at 1 a.m. despite having reset, deleted and reinstalled software, try to reschedule etc the software doesn’t recognise any of the changes.
There are definitely a few glitches in the software, the major one listed above however if you set the device to run on the edge mode which is meant to go around the perimeter of the room, after a few minutes it starts crossing the room and doing it’s own thing anyway. That really doesn’t bother me as the room gets cleaned anyway.
Baring all that in mind, I give It 4 out of 5 stars. However, if they fixed the software I would definitely give it a 5 out of 5 as a first-time robot user. It’s definitely not the end to vacuuming in any house but it definitely reduces it down to once or twice a week. We have a dog and medium traffic through the house and cannot fault it’s ability to pick up dust and hair. We would have been vacuuming at least once a day before that, now it’s once a week.

Edit: we’ve had him for months and he’s still going strong. His battery might last slightly less than before but its not been an issue. I would say it’s important to keep him clean but when you do it works as good as it did at first. I thought he wasn’t as effective for a couple weeks but after cleaning him I was amazed at the difference. We haven’t had to replace any filters or parts yet. I’ve given it a full clean once, washing also the foam part of the filter and it made it work like new. Putting the side brushes in boiling water also straightened them out again. Its also good to check the bottom brush from time to time and cut out hairs, especially of you have long hair but you need to do this with any vacuum. He was definitely worth the money for us.

We were a bit skeptical purchasing this that it would really clean our floors well. We’ve had it for two days so far and it’s exceeded our expectations. We love it, its another job we don’t have to worry about and the little vac does such a good job. It may miss little bits but with regular use it hasn’t been an issue. We have a cat and the deepot picks up cat hair. I was concerned about the sizes of the floor dividers but it crawls between all the rooms of our flat with no issues. Occasionally bumps into things.
A few things I was nervous about reading other reviews:
The app – I downloaded it and paired it with no issues on my android phone – took like 5 minutes. I can control deepot on my phone and use deep cleaning mode. The remote works great too.
Its charging station – it says to keep 1 meter each side and 2 meters on front. I don’t have much space in my flat and didn’t do that. It sometimes takes him time but he still finds his way home without that amount of space for us.
Was nervous spending money on this but we are so happy we did. Our floors are much cleaner already and it’s one less thing to stress about.

Haveing read the mine field of mixed bag reviews of the product i decided to give it a bash at the offer price of 159 i think at the time

So haveing owned or aptly named NuNu no for about 3 months i must admit i am actually impressed the app and hoover are easy to set up i have NuNu programmed so she comes out every night at 2am she does the whole ground floor of our victorian terraced house with out manageing to wake me up ever and you can always tell where shes been.

i empty the debris tray once a week and its always very full and my ground floor is always nice and tidy the hoover really is more than just a gimmick like i thought it would be if am honest how ever theres a few things to point out but these arent bad if anything there good in my opinion

serviceable items so in the app these items which is the filter the two rotating brushes and the single big sucking brush have a life expectancy and do go down rather qwick but these parts are cheap easy to swap out and readily available and its nice that you the user can easily service and maintain your own hoover

over all i am impressed with the robot hoover and probably will invest in another for the second floor as well its relatively quite works well and has good suction the only negative if you can call it one is that she gets stuck under things some times but my partner and i just find this funny and have come up with ingenious ways for her not to venture under certain low laying cabinets etc

In summery i would recommend this product its a good simple and effective tool and most of all saves you alot of time doing chores which is priceless

After some initial teething problems getting it set up, it works great. Did what I expected it to do. If you want know know more keep reading:

The wi-fi integration on this Deebot isn’t great. If you can’t separate the 5ghz and 2.4 good networks in your house you may struggle to set it up. I ended up taking my phone and the Deebot to the bottom of my garden to ensure I was out of range on my 5ghz network. One I did this I read able to set it up via the app.

The app itself is slow to connect to the Deebot. But once connected it’s fine. I ended up using my account and signing in on both my phone and my wife’s so we both have access to the device.

The Deebot is dumb. By this it doesn’t map your room or your floor plan. It just bumbles around your house doing what it can. I will miss some areas, and other areas it will vacuum to with an inch of its life.
While is running the suction is ok for a daily trundle while you do other things, but it won’t replace a good vacuum cleaner. It does have a max setting but still not as good as a good vacuum cleaner. It does pick up well and the sweeping brushes at the front do get into corners and the edge of your room.
We have both carpets (low pile) and lino and it works on both with no problem. It even managed to move over the lino to carpet gripper with no problems.

The battery on normal running last for about 1.5 hours. I find that is enough for it to do is best for 1 floor of the house.

When finished because it doesn’t map your house it did is best to find the barge dock. This can take some time as it bounces around your rooms looking for it’s home.

One thing I didn’t know when I bought this is it had consumable items. The front sweeping brushes and the beater bar have a life span. Your can buy them on Amazon. But be aware you will have to replace them. I don’t know how long they will last as my Deebot is only a few days old.

Overall I would recommend this for daily cleaning to supplement your normal cleaning. Great little device.

It’s taken me a while to leave a review as I wanted to make sure I was thorough with this and so I wanted to use it for a while before I left a review.

Little Tobbee came very well packaged and as I have prime he arrived the next day, I managed to snap him up during a promotion, so he only cost me 140, and honestly what a great expense he was!

I first started testing Tobee (that’s the name I have given him, I know he is not a person, but honestly, it’s like he has a personality and genuinely I have laughed at him getting stuck with the mop and chasing the cats around the house) using the remote he comes with, as I have an aversion to instruction manuals I just clicked buttons away having no idea what they did and off he went. I use him mainly downstairs, so the living room and the kitchen, and as I have currently 3 cats, a lot of fur gets collected in the rug in the living room and he does a good job at hoovering that, also providing us with a little twerk as he adjusts from hard floor to carpet. In terms of suction, he does a lot better than I expected and collects a lot of rubbish for his size, I empty him after every use and he is full at that point.

After installing the app and connecting Tobee (using the QR code on his side) the setup was easy to do and super easy to get him set up on the network. I have since scheduled cleaning every day at different times and so far he hasn’t failed to do that.

When he is scheduled to clean, I have noticed he works for around 1h30m, which I assume is his battery life and when he is running low he takes himself to his charging dock that I have set up under the TV stand.

Overall this robot vacuum cleaner is great and having had a chance to use him for a while I honestly mean it when I say that I still would pay full price for him if I had to.

The only thing at the moment that I cannot comment on is his compatibility with Alexa as I haven’t tried to get him to work that way.

Other than that amazing little product that does a lot more than I expected. 5/5

I don’t know why people complain about how long it takes, who cares!! I’ve not lifted a finger and the house is clean. I’ve had this for almost 6 months and it hasn’t missed a beat. I haven’t replaced any filters, although I clean them and I think they will be due soon. I set her to come on at 7 every night and she gets home about 8:50 unless she does carpets then maybe 8:30pm. She does a great job except for the tiny bit in the corners but that’s fine. I fix that periodically! Pathetic drawbacks: I have to do the stairs and I have to walk her upstairs to do first floor. (Really not an issue!!)

It does the job, and the alexa/google integration is a real bonus at the price. Remote control is handy too. I would say it maybe spends too much time one “edge mode” and does the outskirts of the flat too much and doesnt venture into the middle of the room often. If i feel it needs it, i just pick it up or direct it with the remote to do bits (i mostly do this under the bed, where i put it on spot mode. Really easy to empty out /clean etc. Has always found its way back to the dock which is hidden under the bed.

I bought this in June 2020 for 139.98. It is one of the best purchases I have made for the home. After a busy Christmas Eve, the sitting room floor was a mess and it was getting very late. I set ‘Harry’ off while I went upstairs to get ready for bed and when I came back downstairs the floor was spotless, bringing joy to my heart. He is a pleasure to have in the home. He gently navigates around the dog, fits under the sofa and sideboard and leaves does a good job every time.

I like everything about this product. Good instruction manual, well built, works great.
I bought this product as it had one of the better floor clearances. I have a 2cm graded floor drop on the ground floor and it goes across absolutely no problem. Very pleased.
    Good size waste box.
It sometimes might struggle to return to base as other reviews have mentioned, but I think some of that is where you place the receiver.
    App works well too (Ecovacs).
One other issue is to be careful with thin cables which might be left out such as phone chargers.
    For the price, excellent.

Update: Really impressed by the customer service of Ecovacs. They sent me a new product when I let Ecovacs know.

For the Older Model: This product was great but within 3 months it started giving up. The app connectivity stopped working, then it started giving the red error sounds which kept on increasing to such an extent that now it is errored out every 1 minute. Robo-vac is a great product, maybe I’ll try another brand.

Seems to work well, has got stuck behind furniture a couple of times but I was quite surprised at how much hair and dirt it found on a floor that looked quite clean!

Ok picked this up on a black friday sale, was not expecting much, but did some research and reviews were good. Well it, well he has arrived. Not named him yet. He is a he because he wonders around quietly getting on with the job without little fuss or need for recognition. Only satisfaction he requires is when i check and empty how much dust he collects up. He is intelligent because he rarely gets stuck and needs my help setting free from his corner. He finds his dock to recharge he never falls down the stairs. I set a program on google home for him to start hoovering at 7.30 am 7 days a week so he is just finishing when we get up. He is inspiring because now i feel i need also to do some cleaning around the house while he is hoovering. first day we had him we set him to work everywhere and he collected an amazing amount dust and stuff. Over just a week the dust hopper is no where near filling so much. He has done such a good job, i am thinking of reducing his hours to once every two days. He is such a good worker i feel guilty that i might wear him out to soon. My partner on first impressions said it would never replace a human. But I am not so sure, he does more hoovering than her. She never got into the corners either. No seriously , yes i thought before purchasing it , it was most likely a gimmick that would be more trouble than it was worth. But no honestly it is a welcome addition to the home . I have a mixture of wood floor and carpet and he deals with them all without complaint. Time will tell, but so far he has performed floorlessly …. Started by using remote, then installed app to control it. and then went on line youtube video to learn how to connect it to google home. Now i can start hoovering while away from home. Which does startle the kids a bit. Honestly i went from sceptical to , why did i not have one of these before.

I have to say I was pretty sceptical about how this would work and my husband even more so but we are both eating our words. I haven’t linked it to my Alexa so can’t comment on that but I have a large, dirty dog that always leaves a trail of hair and dirt in his wake so I set the vacuum up to start when I go on my morning dog walk, usually about an hour or so and on my return home the wooden floor in my kitchen diner is fur/dust free and ready to mop, it does the whole of my bottom floor in that time which includes a large lounge/diner, hallway and lounge with carpet.
The chamber which collects the dirt is pretty much full after each use but I expected that as most of it is dog hair, it is an easy and clean emptying process.
    I would hesitate to recommend

Possibly the best gadget I have ever bought! It docks itself under a cupboard when its finished and comes out to vacuum on a timer. Fantastic piece of tech that saves me doing any hoovering other than the stairs. Easy to look after we just had to make sure wires from other appliances are kept out of its reach. 2 levels of suction are available but with it being set to vacuum every day at 6am we have it set on the lowest and it works incredibly well. I will absolutely be buying one for upstairs soon. The app also works really well. Plenty of fun to be had using it like a remote control car to chase the dog. No more pet hair in my house though so more than happy.

We bought this mainly because we have a large laminated area downstairs. Unboxed yesterday, made sure ALL packaging was removed, including the plastic strip covering the sensor on the front, pressed the button on the remote and watched it go! It did all downstairs before we’d even charged it. Was doubtful at first as it has a random pattern but am confident it got all areas. Don’t forget to remove wires from the floor area.

We were in absolute awe when it needed to recharge and found its way to its unit. Beat laugh we’ve had in ages and we now have clean floors!

Ps it recognised the top of the stairs and just turned around. We just need something that will climb and clean stairs and we can get rid of our old vacuum

  81. MereditBurdge says:

This is my second. The first suffered a drive wheel failure. I couldn’t get the unit replaced so I got an onson. my advice is don’t get one of them. constant problems with it. I eventually got a new deebot and the difference from the onson was like chalk and cheese. Deebot finds the recharge station, it gets itself out of tight corners or rugs that try to trap it. With two long haired dogs it will always find hair but after a few days the hair amount is reduced and is easy to clean out. I put the first deebot issues down to simple component failure – which happens. It does a great job and keeps the hard floors we have grit free. Deebots only issue has been in finding something dogs occasionally do in doors overnight. It wasn’t pleasant believe me. On a side note I can now strip a deebot down to clean it (yes I know warranty and returns have been forfeited). What I found is a lot of these cleaners seem to be made in the same factory and branded with features added as required. The brushes and filters all seem fairly similar and would appear to be interchangeable. So with all the issues would I get another deebot? Yes!

Easy to set up and operate.
It doesn’t miss a single room.
Set your start times on the app and you only have to empty the dust receptacle.
It doesn’t get stuck and easily finds its way back to the charging station when battery runs low.
Suction is average even at high.
The simple pre-programmed modes Edge, Random and Spot don’t cover the whole room properly.

Golden Review Award: 134 From Our UsersAs a single mum of twins with special needs I could no live without debboot . As a smart robot vaccum without break the bank you could no ask for more . The suction is absolutely amazing for such little bug ( as my girls call it) carpets , hard floors and corners all spotless after he done he’s job. Amazing container too , you should empty after every use . But with my chaotic lifestyle I had to confess don’t empty like three runs in the house without loosing any power from cleaning. Somehow makes the dirty compressed and keep going. Cleaning our bug is also a piece of cake , rinsing filters and cleaning the brushes no fuss at all. Ecovacs is also very quiet , my five yrs old press the clean button ( they are still non verbal so can’t talk with Alexa yet) after tied downstairs before bed and it cleans while we sleep. Next morning you find all clean while he recharging ! I also have a expensive telescopic brand who say could go under any furniture ( unwanted gift ) yes it cannot , while ecovacs can get under my sofa and bed . Wats is really low to the floor and guess what ?! He bring me all Legos is under there! Also people often mention robot vaccums gets stuck and I can assure you is once in a while , he will display a quite pleasant bip for the rescue as if he gets traps in a cord or cable. But as a mum of 5 yrs old twins he’s very smart for Wats catch up. Connecting to WiFi and Alexa also a piece of cake plus the remote control and app I can’t tell him to do the corners on my phone while in bed. Had a sensor problem before but customers services and Amazon fixed in no time! I saving now to get one with mop , but I can’t afford yet! So I can bring this one upstairs and mop downstairs you don’t need break the bank for an amazing cleaning kit ! Only down side as you can see in the pic , he’s in love with my girls play horse , so now and then I need redirect him

Golden Review Award: 186 From Our UsersNot normally a review writer, but I spent weeks reading reviews and specs for every robot hoover on the market, watching comparison videos on YouTube, so I thought I’d add my findings in hopes that it helps someone else as much as other reviews helped me.

This little bot has changed my life. We have named him Cleetus.

CONTEXT: I have 6 cats, 5 kittens right now, 2 kids and a dog. That’s a lot of hair and litter and general bits on the floor. I bought this thinking it would reduce the amount of times I have to drag the Henry out. Turns out, it’s so good that Henry has been on furlough too!

Ok, so HARD FLOORS. I have lino in the lounge, (don’t judge me, it’s waterproof, which is needed when you breed kittens!) and those cheap sticky back vinyl tiles in the kitchen. Cleetus gets everywhere. Even the edges, which I wasn’t expecting. It has a designated ‘edge’ mode, but the general auto mode includes enough edges to get us clean. He deals with getting up and down the rug just fine and leaves little track marks like a ‘proper’ hoover would. At first it felt like he was doing the same bits repeatedly, but if you just let him crack on, he does get everywhere. The battery life is more than sufficient for him to do our two downstairs rooms and then our landing and bathroom, I carry him upstairs when up there needs doing. Obviously he can’t clean the corner behind our litter box cos he can’t fit in there, so either you move your furniture slightly to allow him to fit, or you’re cleaning that tight bit yourself.

GETTING STUCK: I wasn’t convinced he’d cope with our dining set, but he breezes it, the programming is clever, if he can’t go forward he turns by degrees until he gets clear. I thought I’d have to rescue it constantly, but so far I’ve not had to once, and he is used daily. I do however, have to rescue it from our youngest cat, who sees Cleetus as her arch nemesis and God, she wants those spinny brushes! She is the only thing that has put it into error/stuck mode so far, because as the bot tries to find an alternate path, the cat adjusts too. So, Cleetus beeps, we remove the cat, press his button, and service resumes.

Speaking of buttons, it’s got a master on/off switch on the SIDE. We leave ours perma-on as we don’t have toddlers in the button pushing stage. If you DO have these, you can remove the temptation of the big white top button with this side switch. More importantly, don’t make the mistake WE did of unboxing it and assuming it had no charge because we’d not flicked that side switch. Ours came with enough charge to do a whole house clean. Once we’d actually turned it on.

STAIRS. First use, I sat on the second to top step, convinced he was gonna fall down, so I could catch him. Nope. He can definitely tell where the stairs are and goes right up to the edge of the top step, then pootles off in a different direction.

CARPETS: Our landing is newly laid carpet, mid range quality. There is almost always at least one animal asleep here so it’s pet hair central. I wasn’t expecting much from Cleetus here, maybe just get the biggest bits. Jeez was I wrong. Even when the carpet LOOKS clean, this bad boy can get a full bin of pet hair up. It’s truly incredible.

Nice segue into EMPTYING there, which is also simple. A bin holds a day’s worth, so I just empty it at the start or end of a day. I like him to start on an empty bin. Flip the unit over, the collection clicks/slides out, hold it over your household bin, the bot bin opens like a clamshell, everything falls out, shut the clamshell and it clicks back into the unit. Turn the bot back over, press the button, and you’re off.

CONNECTIVITY: the remote is simplistic, with buttons for start/pause, send it back to Dock, edge mode, spot mode, and arrows for driving it manually. Self explanatory and not overly complicated. OR you can control it thru the app, which has clever extra features like showing you how many metres2 it has cleaned, and counting down the lifespan of the brushes, filters etc.

We are frequent echo dot users, and despite other reviews saying connecting to alexa was troublesome, ours was super straightforward, no harder than connecting a new Bluetooth device. Now I just say ‘tell deebot to start cleaning’ and he storms into life. ‘tell deebot to go back to dock’ will send him back to bed.

Which takes us to the CHARGING DOCK. We’ve got ours in a 45cm gap between a high sided litter box, and the TV UNIT. Its free standing against the skirting board, and this gap is barely wider than Cleetus, but he finds it first time, every time.

SNAGS. Yes, you will have to move wires. The spinny brushes will get tangled up and the bot will stop until you untangle it.

He’s quieter than a hairdryer, I often sit watching TV while he does his business, you could definitely sleep upstairs with him cleaning downstairs. My 82yo nan has just bought one having seen ours, because she hasn’t got the strength to push a traditional hoover anymore. And if she can work it, anybody can!

My only complaint is that the cats haven’t ridden on it yet. I’m hoping this is just a matter of time..

It’s worth the investment. Go for it!

I was dubious that this would be powerful enough when I ordered this and slightly concerned that it would get itself stuck in the numerous corners and dead ends that the furniture in my (slightly cluttered) house creates. However, I am extremely impressed. Suction wise, it seems great. It appears to switch fan speeds depending on the depth of carpet pile (or at least it noticeably changes noise) and quite happily collects crumbs and even spilt sugar from carpeted areas. Although it bounces around a bit when negotiating its way out of a dead end, it does it faster and more efficiently than I expected.

One of the things that impressed me the most was its edge and corner cleaning. When edge mode is selected, it quite happily trundles round the edge of the room, settee, table or whatever it is close to at the time. It negotiates corners and even complex shapes, keeping the sweeper brushes in contact with the edge really well.

Cleaning and maintenance wise, hair does get wrapped around the main brush as you would expect. However, the brush itself is quite easy to remove and clean and there is a small tool included that has a sharp cutter (safely shielded) that makes the job quite easy. The collector bin is easy to remove and filter cleaning is simple and straightforward.

Battery life seems quite good – although I haven’t had it long enough to see how fast the battery degrades. It lasts longer than an hour on a single charge. This allows it to thoroughly clean a largeish carpeted lounge (9m x 14m) with quite a lot of furniture for it to negotiate. I would say that the governing factor is more likely the capacity of the dust / fluff collector rather than the battery when cleaning carpeted areas. I was a little concerned about the stated requirement to have the charger on a clear unobstructed wall. However, experimenting, if you are not too bothered about tit taking a little longer to find its way home, I have mine in a corner

This model doesn’t map the rooms so its not possible to use the Alexa app to tell it to clean a particular room or area and therefore the Alexa integration really only allows you to start and stop it. However, realistically, there is not a lot more you would want. You can rename it so you are not stuck with calling it “Deebot”.

Overall, extremely impressed. Plug it in, charge it up, hit auto on the remote and leave it to it. And… Although somewhat concerned that the wife wouldn’t like it, my concerns were completely unfounded. She loves it!

I’ve had Deebot for over a month now and I have to say, I’m pretty impressed. He has exceeded my expectations. I live in a one bedroom flat and I can turn him on (using Google assistant) and leave him to auto around the flat and it ends up pretty clean. I have hardwood floors in the lounge, along with a medium pile rug and carpet in the bedroom. He sometimes needs a bit of navigation to the bedroom because when left in Auto he will tend to stay in the lounge and kitchen and he sometimes gets stuck under the sofa but all in all I’m very happy. I thought it would need far more maintenance and have far more malfunctions but not at all. If I send him back to the charger, it takes him a while to find it, but it might be because it’s located in the hall and I think it’s funny to watch him try and find it.
He is mainly sucking up dust, hair and the odd bits and pieces. I’ve not tried him on a massive spill of soil or dirt etc. The first week I got him, I didn’t hoover for 7 days beforehand so I could get a good idea of how well he would function and the little bin on the back of him was jammed solid with dust and feathers and bits. Lovely.

    I recommend this product.

Thought it would be a bit of a gimmick at first but following a few learning techniques, I sent it under the beds upstairs and goodness me it did its job really well. OkayIt’s never going to take over from a handheld vacuum cleaner but at least I can be doing something else whilst it’s doing the bedrooms !!

Golden Review Award: 144 From Our UsersSo, funny story… In my line of work I tell a lot of people “Read. The. Manual.”. Turns out I can’t follow my own advice, at least at first.

I let out Jeffrey out of his nice box and attached the forward facing brushes (yes, my gf thought he should be named after the butler on Fresh Prince), and after charging for 4 hours I let him loose on a test run only to see him go full speed straight into a wall and keep pushing like an unglorified robot version of Sisyphus. I instantly applied for a refund, packed him up and started looking for something else.
The next day while considering what other robovac I could get, I opened up the box out of boredom to have a quick look at the manual again, with fresher eyes, and read aloud to myself: step 1 “Remove ALL packing material” with an image showing something being removed from the front of the robot. Yeah, I had not removed the packaging material that held the front bumper in place during transportation. He was running into a wall without stopping because the packing material prevented the sensor to move. The irony wasn’t lost on my gf, who makes sure to remind me of my folly every day.

To the important stuff: If you are expecting a super duper smart robovac that can understand where on the floor there is dirt, this is not the one. It also can’t map out its environment, at least not in a way that is saved and presented to the user.
Deebot 502 struggles a bit with black objects, from reading reviews of other brands this seems to be an issue with the current tech at this price, maybe be aware if you mainly have dark furniture and/or walls. We only have a TV bench that’s black and the bot usually bumps in to it a little but it’s not a concern for us.

As two out of three inhabitants in our home (gf and cat) shed enough hair to produce a pillow a week, defeat would quickly replace satisfaction only a few hours after cleaning as the floor would once again be covered in hair, floating around our feet as we walked around the apartment. We had to vacuum a minimum of every two days before it looked like we’d installed a carpet on top of our hardwood floors.
For a long time I thought it would be cool to get a robovac but could never really justify the cost. But after about a year after living like this, we couldn’t take it anymore. Interestingly, we keep the place nicer than we did before. It is lazy, I can only agree, but we find that we organize our home better as we have to make sure everything is in place so that the bot won’t get stuck on something. We’ve put him on a schedule 4x/week which has worked great so far. Noise levels are good, there are two suction modes. If running on normal mode we barely notice it sometimes, to me it sounds almost like an toy remote controlled car (the cat barely cares). The stronger mode makes the bot sound a bit more like a vacuum, but isn’t nearly as noisy as what most of us are used to.

No magnetic strips to mark off areas were provided and as far as I know are not supported by this model, keep in mind if that’s a dealbreaker for you.

I managed to snag this bot for ~150, which included a free spare parts kit (with extra filters and brushes) so I’m happy about that, and I’d say that’s a fair price for what you get.
We will see about longevity, I will try to remember to update this in the future if anything happens.
I can recommend this if you want a simple little helper around the house to just vacuum the floors, especially if you can get a good deal on one.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLove this little dude! My kids called him Bob. Bob the bot!
I have two hairy dogs and I set this thing going each evening while doing kiddie bedtime, and when I come back downstairs the floors are (more or less) clear. There are obviously some corners I need to use a handheld / nozzle vac for, but this has saved me so much time.
Easy to set up, easy to empty, adjusts from hard flooring to carpet / rug and even knew where the edge of stairs was so didn’t fall off.
    Really pleased with it!
Haven’t managed to connect to Alexa yet but maybe I wasn’t close enough – had to be stood over it to link to its own app.

Golden Review Award: 34 From Our UsersI decided to buy this based on reviews and I haven’t been disappointed! It works with the App effortlessly and also works with our Google dot device (NOT just an Alexa)! I’ve had it on all day and I have a big 6 storey house. It’s only needed charging twice. The suction is amazing and getting rid of hair from 3 cats no problem. The little remote it comes with is a nice thing but most smart phones that run the app won’t really need to see you using it! The hoover itself is a good size, can’t go under my sofas as they are low but does under the bed no problem! Has extremely good edge detection, hasn’t fallen down my staircases at all. I like the fact you can Change the floor suction to max if you want too in the app but this will make the battery run Shen a little quicker. I have carpet and wooden and tiled floors in my house, mannager all 3 effortlessly. No dust or dirt left behind! It self docks without problems when battery is low too. I can now do my cleaning and dusting whilst the hoovering is taken care of so by time it’s finished it’s run all I have to do is mop the hard floors! It can go up to 90 minutes on a full charge. I have slightly high thresholds to some of my rooms but the big wheels take care of that so if I leave all my doors open on each floor it will run around and do it’s thing in all rooms. The only thing I wish it did was the stairs! I am not Disappointed at all. I have some health problems which means the main hoover at the moment is too much for me whilst I’m going through treatment so this is going to be a life saver! Very surprised at the amount of dirt and dust it can hold too. Easy to empty and just generally a clever piece of kit! The noise level is pretty quiet, not offensive on the ears and is easily ignored when watching TV. I like the soft bumpers on it so it doesn’t damage painted furniture or delicate items. The edge cleaning feature is handy so once it’s done a room I have been setting it to edge cleaning to do the parts it may have missed and it hasn’t left any dirt behind! I now have a Nice clean house with minimal effort between major hoovering sessions! Works well on low/medium pile carpet and flat rugs too! Can’t fault it! Very happy customer!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersSo had my Deebot for a while now, I work long hours and wanted something just to help me out a little at home. I love it. Am amazed at what it picks up. If you suddenly have someone come round it easy just to send it off. The only reason I did not put 5 stars is on the app u can’t map things that it gets stuck on, like my cat tress. But that’s the only problem I have and my boys like it running about the place

Golden Review Award: 13 From Our Usersi order it free days then arrive. When I first received the sweeper, I couldn’t download the APP to connect to the sweeper because of the mobile phone, but this problem was solved soon. After that, it is very convenient. I can control the sweeper at any time. Even if I am not at home, I can let the sweeper help me clean. The most important thing is that it can be cleaned very clean. There is no dust, and there is no loud noise. Once the battery is used up, the sweeper will automatically go back to charge to ensure normal work next time. I am very happy. I do n’t need to do hygiene myself every day. The best product to use. This is my most successful shopping experience.

Bought this when it was on sale, 150 if I remember correctly.
It works fine, it will randomly move around picking up bits it goes over; I have hard floors and some rugs. It may miss some bits in corners but generally I would say it picked up 95% of the mess I left for it :). Some rugs I have to move or put out the way as it sounds like it is really struggling on the carpets. It will go over the same parts very often, but you can start it and carry on with life and it will generally hoover up most if not all of the mess on the floor.
It also requires a large area for the base/charging; it will require 90cm either side to be free of obstructions and when you factor in the size of the charging unit itself, it’s basically 200cm (2m; 6ft 7). Obviously you need that 200cm and an actual socket. Most people aren’t going to have that as you will have, sofa’s, tables, chairs, tv stands etc in the way. I haven’t tried it with less space so I am sure it still works but may struggle to move around when charging and starting.

Easy to clean, and was amazed at what it picked up on it’s first go as it did go under the sofa which our traditional hoover would not fit; so it picked up a lot of dust on the first run. Comes with a brush/tool to clean it.

Had trouble first setting up the wifi but now it works ok so I am able to operate from my phone/app; including controlling it with on screen buttons. I was expecting the app to give an idea of where it has cleaned, or even some stats. I believe the map area cleaned is available on other robot vacuums. When pressing the button on the app to send it to recharge it will take it’s time getting back to base; I believe it uses infared sensors to get back, so only when the robot and charging station are in view of each other will it go straight back; otherwise it will just carry on moving around the rooms until it finds that signal.

Not tried Alexa integration. You also have a remote to control it or set times when it should start cleaning.

Overall, for the price I am very pleased and saves a lot of time. It is by no means a solution to your household duties; but can keep the mess down and save time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good value at the time of purchase

This is a great little bot for the price. Cleans well, the suction is OK, picks up most of the dirt and cat hair. Has trouble if the pet hair is more ingrained into the carpet, misses that sometimes. The app works well – it takes a little time on initial setup for the wifi to be recognised, and if you switch the whole thing off for any reason then it takes quite a few mins for it to come back “online” with the wifi. But it does sort itself out eventually. For a small space, like my flat, edge mode works the best because it’s more systematic in its approach to finding its way around – automatic seems quite haphazard (especially when you have a lot of furniture for it to work around). But it still slowly finds its way around the house, bumping into things, and scaring my cat!

The integration with Alexa is useful; you have to enable the “Ecovacs Deebot” skill to link it up (which is not included in the instructions – I had to google to find out how to link it all up correctly). I just wish there were a few more specific voice commands you could use with Alexa, because it’s essentially “start cleaning” (Auto) and “return to base” (or “start charging”). I would like to be able to tell it to start “edge mode” directly, or select which mode you want when you set up a timer, etc. This additional help and functionality in the software would raise my rating to 5 stars.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHad my Deebot for 4 days now and am very impressed with it. Quick and easy to setup (takes about 10 minutes) and then put it on charge for 4hrs. I’ve used it every day so far and can’t believe how much dust it has collected each time – it’s especially good at getting right under sofa’s and beds which you would probably not be able to do easily with a conventional hoover. I just switch it on Auto and let it go. It seems to work in a very random way but does seem to cover all rooms and difficult to see if it’s missed any areas. Works great on hard floors, is good on carpets but did struggle a little bit with sock fluff on carpet (which to be honest my conventional hoover would also sometimes struggle with). Have used the room edge setting and this worked well plus used the remote control to navigate the Deebot to an area where there was a lot of dust etc and then used the spot cleaning function and it went around in circles cleaning it all up. Took it upstairs and let it clean and had to keep watching it as it approached the stairs as I wasn’t convinced it wasn’t going to fall down the stairs. But it was fine – it stops very quickly and turns around! Using the App on my phone I can see the batter life and could see if was getting low and was convinced it wouldn’t manage to get back to the charging station. But every time I’ve used it it has managed to find it’s way back and start charging again! It doesn’t go straight back to the charging station – it seems to go to random places (not sure why) but does eventually work out where the charging station is. It’s fascinating to watch it do it’s thing! It has 2 power settings so you can put it on a lower setting I guess if you use the timer function to clean at night. I’ve linked it with Alexa so can start and stop it via voice control now also. It’s got stuck twice – once on a load of cables under my office desk so now I know I’ve tidied them up to avoid this, and once in my daughters room where there was some ribbon which got caught around one of the wheels. Again now that I know about this I will do a quick scan around the house to check for any traps but this is simple compared to having to hoover the entire house myself. So in summary – really impressed with the Deebot and amazed how much dust it has collected (which in turn will reduce the amount of dusting I should need to do). Can’t fault it really.

Golden Review Award: 220 From Our UsersWow, wow, wow! Takes a very good product for me to bother to write a review. This is one of those products that begins with reasonably low expectation and blows them out of the door!

I really didn’t expect this vacuum to be any good or to actually have any impact on my life, but it most certainly has.

We work all week, often late, and have a 8 month old daughter who is beginning to crawl and spend lots of time on the floor. We also have a cat that seems to find her way into every room no matter what. Finding time to hoover and do all of the cleaning on an evening or at the weekend was tough. It sounds pathetic, but hoovering is one of those mundane annoying jobs that no one wants to do after a long week of work. Don’t get me wrong, you will still use your plug in vacuum to hoover the stairs, sofas or anything up high. Until these vacuums develop arms then you can’t expect to get rid of your upright anytime in the near future.

This vacuum has superb suction, battery and functionality. I expected this to maybe pick up the occasional crumb or small bits of dirt but found that it picks up much, much more than that. All of the car fur is gone, all of the litter that the cat manages to empty out on to the laminate floor is gone. Crumbs, hairs, paper, bits and bobs – all gone. Carpet, laminate and tiles are all easily vacuumed.

I did a deep hoover the day before receiving this and didn’t expect the robot to find much remaining dirt. I was wrong! The compartment was pretty full of bits and dust that my plug in vacuum evidently missed. Either that or you don’t quite realise how much mess and dust can appear in one day. And no one wants to get the big hoover out every day! Surely! With Deebot you can set a schedule for however many times you want it to vacuum a week and forget about it. You can hoover several times a day with this if you really wanted. Sit back and relax and let Deebot take care of it.

Spend more time in your life doing good things, being with family and friends, rather than hours hoovering every week.

Battery is brilliant – I don’t even use half on my 3 bed house. That’s up and downstairs. Deebot always finds its way back to the charger too.

General maintenence of the robot is easy and quick too and emptying the mess is simple. Easy to connect to WiFi and Alexa. To be honest I don’t have anything bad to say about this. It could do with room mapping but for the price I wouldn’t expect that at all. The app is good too and the remote is easy to use.

If you are cautious about making the move to a robot vacuum, give this a go. My thinking was that “if its no good, I’ll send it back”. No need. You will definitely not be sending this back.

Take the punt and enjoy the extra free time you have thanks to Deebot.

I’m the Vac Man in our house. My arsenal includes a dysan Mains and a Rechargeable Vac. All very nice. But I. Capital I….:have to plug them in. Push them around etc etc. Enter the Deebot N79S. Easy to set up. I had a suitable “Base” for it, where it can retreat to and Charge itself. Already, after just 48 hours. It’s my friend. Initially after a nights charge I set it off on “Auto”, downstairs. We have hard flooring through-out with a shag pile Rug in the Lounge. I decided to watch over my little helpers first foray. Even though it insisted on cleaning the Rug, more times than I thought was required. It did brilliantly. Slowed down, but persevered. That won it a Gold Star! It trekked off into our Hall and Kitchen. Taking a very erratic un-conventional approach Cleaning said area. It refused to fall over the edge of the step down to our front door. Another Gold Star. It was more and more, proving to be a great asset. I did wonder just how long it would continue in it’s quest to clean our whole Ground floor area. After 40 minutes. I stopped it to check out it’s collection Tray. It was full of grit and dust! I decided some R and R was due for my new Helper.
Day two. Alexa enters the broader picture. She can control Deebot. Now named Doris! I had also programmed, using the Remote Control a 2pm Timegate for Doris to start her work. BUT. Decided that Alexa could intervene at 11 am. She set Doris off without second thoughts!! Doris, this time, came to grief in the Shag Pile carpet. She bleeped for help. I lifted her off, and off she went. Laughing and smiling. I was too!! The only problem I had with Alexa, was with the sending Deebot to its Charger. I’ve discovered that Alexa will STOP Deebot, without a problem. But cannot comprehend sending Deebot to it Base for charging. So. I tell Alexa to STOP Deebot. When Doris has stopped. Alexa will then send her back to charge up. Simples. I’m so pleased with my new found HELPER!! PS. I have got a life after Doris. LOL

5.0 out of 5 stars Deebot is a pleasure to own.
