This backdrop is quite sturdy and held up well with all the decorative sweet put on it.

Bought this for a backdrop for a wedding. The canvas we are using is 8 x 7ft wide. We did remove one of the top bars to make it smaller. There is a slight bend at the top, but it is barely noticeable. Hopefully it will hold up for a few more events that I am planning on using it for.
It is fairly easy to assemble. Does work better if two people can put it up.

I needed a stand to hang an embroidered quilt. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this product fits my needs. It is adjustable in width size. Most importantly for me it is adjustable in height to fit a 10 ft. long quilt. Good!
However, I do wish they had included more than two clips … a large stand requires additional holders … I’ll order them separately …. for that oversight, 4 stars instead of 5!

This was the first time I purchased a photo backdrop stand and boy did I hit the jackpot! The kit comes inside a beautiful lightweight waterproof canvas zip bag – easy to carry! When you open the bag each section is laid out to precision. The extension rods & legs (stand) are inside plastic for additional protection. Each leg (stand) goes into position easily by turning the adjustable knob. The legs are very sturdy, no worry about wobble AT ALL. You have 4 extension rods that fit into each other easily. I am only using 2 of the rods but that measures to 6′ wide which is perfect for a headshot session. I also purchased cloth backdrops which drape over the rod easily and are secured with the clasps that also come with the kit… I am thrilled with this purchase! For a stand that is so sturdy and still lightweight is a blessing! I do a number of events throughout the year and do dread having to carry the stand. I do event backdrops and have had a few Stands over the years and this one is my favorite, hands down!!! I recently bought a second one to replace one of the other brands I had. Great product!
I used this for the backdrop at my daughters baby shower and it held up very well. It held a 9×12 thick cotton drop cloth, about 40 large cardstock paper flowers & 2 balloon arches with about 150 balloons with no problem. The cross bar does sag a bit in the middle when hanging multiple items but it didn’t show for us because we disguised the droop with balloons. There are 4 bars across the top but we only used 3 which made it 9 ft across. 4 bars would be 12ft, 3 bars is 9ft. As far as the height goes it is completely adjustable so you can have any height you like up to 10ft which was exactly what we needed. I don’t know how it will stand up over time but it served its purpose this first time and I was pleased. I looked at every backdrop stand on Amazon and read every review and this is the one I chose and am happy with my purchase.

For the price, this is an easy to configure, easy to adjust portable studio. Should you hang from the middle bar? Easy set up. It was a lot larger than I anticipated but was not disappointed. Liked that it comes with a carry/storage case.

Have used this for background support in studio and on location. Everything feels well made, and has performed well. Storage bag is nice for carrying on location. If you need a background support this is a nice basic set at a good price.

Works perfect for what I needed. Clamps aren’t great, plastic ends fell off on first use. I would suggest buying additional higher quality clamps.
It comes in 4ft sections so I thought it would be easier to shrink/lengthen but you are set to only those section lengths. It’s not a big deal. But you’ll need more than the two clamps that come with it.
The picture is with 3 of the 4 poles attached. It is the perfect size. I wanted a stand that didnt dip down in the middle due to weight and this one was that! It is heavy duty and will be able to be used over and over.
This backdrop will be used for displaying a quilt with a sleeve. It is MUCH lighter than previous stands that I have used which concerned me. It really stood up well on a windy day during an outdoor festival. I used sandbags on the base and it did not tweak or bend. Super happy with my purchase.
I like to take a picture of my finished product prior to sending my quilts to their new homes.

Absolutely thrilled with the purchase of this backdrop stand! This is the highest quality stand I have found. Super easy to assemble and does not bow in the center because of the weight of the backdrop. I used a 10×12 heavy fabric Kate backdrop and could not have been more pleased. I HIGHLY tetthis stand!

Its good and better than most ive found around amazon. The pole isnt the best when using the wider seamless paper backgrounds.
This is a good backdrop stand for the price. It is durable and seems to work great! I probably would have given it 5 stars if the tops of the stands would have been compatible with light stands as well. Good product.
I bought this for a small home studio and it fits the bill perfectly. Assembly is easy and it adequately holds a cloth backdrop with very little sag at max width. My only knock on this is it only comes with two A-clamps. If you’re expanding beyond 6ft, you will definitely need additional clamps. Luckily they are fairy cheap. Still it would be nice if it came with at least one more. But, I don’t think that even dictates a star reduction for my review.
NOTE: I haven’t tried this setup with a paper or Muslin backdrops. Those are heavier weights. I will update this if I run into any issues with these.
This has worked great so far and the price is awesome! Although the zipper on the carrying bag has already broke and only have had it 2 weeks.
Wish I would have got it sooner! Only down is the quality of the carrying case. You can hear the stitches popping off when you carry it but the stand is perfect!
I occasionally do photo shoots or set up photo booths – on a strictly amateur basis. Sometimes a backdrop is nice to have, but as I don’t make any money off of this I did not want to spend a lot of money. This gets the job done nicely for a good price. Seems sturdy and stable enough for what it needs to hold. Comes with 2 clips for the backdrop – you may want to buy a couple more.
This item is good for what it is. It is an inexpensive, portable backdrop holder. It isn’t particularly heavy, but the legs are sturdy. The cross arms are not sturdy at “12′ wide.” At 8′ wide, it’s not bad and at 5′ its pretty good.
The total length of the crossbar is 11′ 9″. The usable width is about 11′. With one bar taken out, it can hold an 8′ backdrop. With the minimum of two sections, it can hold a 5′ wide backdrop. This is really a 10′ wide stand when you account for all the things you can do with it.
Having said that, I can’t complain as I bought it on sale. It will work quite well for a portable backdrop stand. You’ll want to buy extra wing nuts and washers right away. Also, the bag is a little lightweight but not bad for the price. The ends of the stands will poke holes in the bag unless you cushion them inside the case. Just get a couple rags and put in there.
UPDATE:. It’s been a year and a half. I’ve probably done four on site shoots with it. It never failed. I used sandbags for it with 10′ backdrops. It’s very easy to set up on site. Bag has torn at the carry straps. Don’t lift it by only one strap. About what I expected. I still give it 4 stars with what I expected.

This is the second backdrop stand that I’ve purchased from Amazon, and while this cost a bit more than the others, it was totally worth while. The heavy duty nature of this makes it more stable than its lighter weight counterparts, and can be used with heavier backdrops.
Just what I need it ! So easy to do backdrops with this stand ! This stand is 10″x12″!comes with two extra clubs to expand the width. In the picture I did not expanded all the way up because I accidentally tied the balloons first to the stand didn’t want them to pop(lol)
Better quality than many of the other backdrop stands available for about the same price. Nice that it extends as long as it does, but a banner that long gets heavy and the polls sag in the center a bit when it’s that big. Overall, I’m happy with the purchase.
I bought this to use for a photo booth. It worked pretty well and is a good weight, but the wind occasionally would knock it over. I would still recommend it though, feels like it’s good quality.
it is not sturdy enough that you should use sand bags.
Fantastic equipment. Worth every penny. Keep in mind that the width is not fully adjustable. Only in appropriate 2-3′ increments. If the crossbar were telescopic it would be perfect. The only fault is in the carry bag that fell apart the first time I tried to zip it.

The stand itself wasn’t great for holding a heavy painted canvas backdrop. I’m sure it’s fine for a paper roll or something like it. And the customer service was excellent.
These were better quality than I thought I would get for the price, in fact they are better than the ones I saw in a store! I’ve only used it twice (indoors), and it was an easy set-up and tear-down. The thicker poles do make a difference. The case is also well made, which was a very pleasant surprise. I bought more clips from a local hardware store, I already had sandbags, so I’m set!
These stands worked work great. The price is perfect! You might want to get some sandbags, but it worked great for us without it. Highly recommend it!
