I was a little sceptical about using this but read the reviews and thought I’d give it ago.
As it says, it’s not an over night fix but give it time and it really does work. My pond is now very clear and my fish seem a lot happier.
This is amazing. Tried other brands with no success. You may think this is not working but it does say leave after first application , as it takes a few weeks to work. And it does..it really works.
At first the water went a dark brown and back to green again.
I guess I’m just going to wait.
I recently redesigned my pond and put in a new liner. With all the upheaval it made my pond very murky. I purchased the pond clear extra and went a bit over the top on the amount I required. My pond is 3ft 9at it’s deepest and I estimate 2,000 gallons. I administered the correct dose and thought I can always add more if I need it. 3 days later it was gin clear . Brilliant product.

I ordered a litre bottle for approx. 29, so why was a 500 ml bottle substituted at a cost of approx 20? Can’t be bothered to return but not happy!!
It is a slow process but after a month we are seeing good results we can now see our fish
Recently used for the first time in my small feature pond, (no fish), appears to have kept the green algae at bay! I dont have to clean the pond quite as often!

Bought this product after struggling to clear the water for the best part of 2 months once the warmer weather hit.
3 doses later over the course of 2 weeks and I can see all the way to the bottom of the pond (1.2m deep) when before you could just make out the outline of the fish if they were any deeper than a foot down.
I’ve also increased the frequency of cleaning the filter to every 3 days as recommended on the instructions.
It is a little on the pricey side but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again.

This product started to clear the pond a little at first and then with the second dose the pond has cleared completely. We are very happy to be able to see our fish again. Would highly recommend.
My garden Koi pond was pretty murky and not clearing this year. 1 week post first treatment with this product it was much improved. After a second application it was soon crystal clear.
Really works well, you have to remember this is not a quick fix! It will take a few weeks. Add it every few days and keep cleaning your filters and the results will be crystal clear water in a few weeks.
Did’nt know what to think about this product, the instructions said 25mm per 1000 liter but I double dosed it, after 24hrs, the transformation was amazing I could see my fish and they came to the top for feeding, I’ll certainly be buying again.
This is my second bottle of Pond Klear. I have a natural pond with no pump and this clears the water perfectly. I tried the powder one specifically for natural ponds and that didn’t do anything. One dose of this clears the green water within 3-4 days and keeps it clear for a couple of weeks. I love that it’s safe enough that my dogs can drink from the pond! I just need a lifetime supply now!
This pond clearer is the best I have ever used, I tried all the popular brands since early spring to clear my pea soup pond of algae but nothing happened. I put the suggested dose of Envii pond klear in a week ago and day by day it has cleared to what is now a crystal clear pond. I can see all the baby fish I never new I had and see all my plants growing. Give it a try but give it time to work, not instant but does the job perfectly, highly recommended.
I used 3/4 of the bottle for a 4000 litre koi pond every 2-3 weeks. The water eventually cleared but I also had to clean the filter twice during this time before the water showed any significant improveme
my pond had gone a thick browny green soup. I could not even see the fish. I replaced the UV bulb in the filter and reduced some of the water putting in fresh, but not much improvement. Bought and used Pond Klearand after about 4 days the problem is almost gone.
In been using it just over a week now but i am finding that the water is still green ,I have used other products
And a change with in a couple of days so I am a dit disappointed.

We put this in the pond last week and already are seeing a difference. We’re cleaning the filters every 2-3 days and they are extremely dirty each time, which shows the product is working. We hope it continues to be so effective.
I have been trying to clear green water from my pond for months. ( The weather hasn’t helped.) I have tried various products. Envi pond clear has done the job.The instructions said you could use a double dose, so I did. It needed several doses over a few weeks for it to work but at last I can see the bottom of my pond again. Good stuff.
Started using this product in hopes of bringing my 10 000 l filtered pond with fish into a healthy shape … Started to see difference within 6 days .. week 2 pond clearing very well can now enjoy the fish which have not been effected at all … In fact since starting treatment fish have become lot more active and are mating …. Easy to use … Instructions are very clear , once you know the size of pond it’s easy to work out how much to use … Very happy with product overall 5***** ……week 3 … Omg my pond is like looking through windows my fish are enjoying pond . Cleaned filter and tbh they weren’t that bad . I’m that impressed I’ve just bought another bottle … For future use if needed….I do recommend to those who are not finding this to work . Give your pond good clean .refresh water and add as a preventative as it helps mature pond safely but speedily …..

Was looking for something to clear my green pond water and discovered Envii…within three days the pond was clearing and a few days later I could see the bottom…I have used different products over the years and I cannot praise this enough!
I used this product to get my pea soup pond clear. Even thou I have a filter system with a uv light I could not get it clear, even after using two other products, I bought Envii as a last resort. Absolutely worth every penny,after two applications and I have fish and a crystal clear pond.
This really does work patience is the key my pond was dense and it’s taken about two weeks to just about see the bottom of my pond so high five from me
I must admit I was sceptical but our pond has gone from pea soup to crystal clear after using this. OK it has taken about three weeks so a bit of patience required.
Our pond was murky and green, I was so disappointed because just a few days before it was completely clear and our new pump wasn’t clearing it. Last Friday I applied this Pond Klear as a triple dose, thinking I might not see results for several weeks and that I’d need to reapply weekly – but no! After 1 day it was already clearing, and now, 1 week later the pond is back to full clarity and I can see the plant trays and fish swimming around right at the bottom (80cm deep). I’ve not had to use Pond Klear again at all, but know that when/if I do need to use it, it should work wonders again!
I would highly recommend this product for anybody struggling with a murky pond!
My problems with blanket weed are ALWAYS resolved with Pond Clear but I’ve had recurring problems with “green water” and tried most available products like Blagdon Barley Straw Etract (Utterly useless), Tetra Pond Algorem ( Similarly useless) and others I can’t recall the names of now. So I wasn’t expecting too much when I paid my 30 for my Envii Pond Clear.
How wrong was I !
Amazingly, the pond began to clear within a couple of hours and the following day I could see the bottom for the first time in 3 years. And this was just one application for a pond in full sunlight for half the day, which is reputedly the most difficult to resolve. It leaves gloopy accumulations on the surface, but these are easily skimmed off.
Very pleased indeed and would suggest that this is definitely worth a go.
All I can say is please read the instructions, as I just glanced and put to much in killing some of my fish. Be patient and pond will look amazing after a week or two. Mine did . Don’t forget to clean your filter too if you have one. Good luck
Easy to use and does what it says on the package
Having read the instructions, I decided to use the maximum dose, the first time. I repeated the treatment a week or so later and then waited. Wishing a few weeks my pond was clear; the insects were still there and my plants were thriving. This is still the case. I can recommend the product.

I have tried many products on in my pond but could never enjoy seeing my fish through the murky water. I tried this product last summer and the water began to clear. In weeks it was clearer than I could remember. Just follow the instructions and keep to it. The reward is worth it!!
After buying this, I discovered a leak in my pond, which required me to empty it (preserving what original water I could) After fixing and cleaning the pond out, I replaced the same water, and topped it up with mains water. and it quickly got quite murky again with algae bloom, but I used the envil again, (this was 5 days ago) and I can now see the bottom of the pond once more. Before the leak and major upheaval, I had used envil for a couple of weeks, and it was getting clearer every day, and when I emptied it, I was surprised at the lack of sludge in the bottom, so yes, it definitely works.
After two applications my pond was clear of green water,for the first time in a long time I could see the bottom of my pond.I have no hesitation in recommending this product.
I use this every year it help control all Algae build up on the walls of the pond as well as the filter system. I use this in April ready for summer. Like I say I buy this every year.
Quite expensive, however cleared a very murky pond without using the whole bottle.
Troubled by typical green water in Summer, I purchased this and a pH reactor. Both are simple to use, do not seem to trouble the fish and, within days, the pond cleared quite effectively. It recommends regular treatments and this seems to be working. Now for the blanketweed!
I purchased Pond Clear Extra in July. My large koi pond was in a dreadful state, the water had been murky for some time and then I repotted all my water lilies in some grey mud which the Koi were supposed to be unable to dig in. The result was completely opaque grey water and dead lilies. It was impossible to see the fish. In desperation I bought a large bottle your Pond Clear and put it all in the pond. It took several weeks and many cleanings of the filters but the pond is now amazing, the water is crystal clear and the new lilies are thriving. When we next have blanket weed As we do every year I intend to try your blanket weed product instead of the product we normally use. Very happy with the produc
I don’t write reviews on here but had to say how great this product is. My pond was like pea soup after the heat of the summer couldn’t see the fish at all. Tbh I didn’t hold out much hope of it working.
I took 2 thirds of the water out and scrubbed the sides clear of some blanket weed.
After refilling I put in a triple dose. Had to clean my filter once every 4 days. Dosed the pond once a week for 4 weeks as per instructions and after the 3rd week saw some improvement. After the 4th dose went away on hols for a week came back yesterday and my pond is crystal clear! I can see the fish and the bottom of the pond. I am amazed!
We decided a few weeks ago to build a new pond in our garden. Our delight soon turned to concern when the water turned a dense green. Our pond was a green lagoon. We were unable to see anything in it. Within a month of using this organic product we now have a lovely clear pond. We will continue to use Envii Pond Klear Xtra to maintain this. I came back from holiday to find my pond a green mess. The filters also need cleaning. They are the type that pumps water out of the pond when cleaning so I then had to add quite a bit if fresh water, the worst thing to do as it encourages more algae. One dose of the Envii and now a week later I have a clear pond.
Inherited a neglected pond full of koi fish when we bought our house. Didn’t know the first thing about fish or ponds but wanted to restore it. Trust me when I say it was the filthiest pond you’ve ever seen. No uv, filter was ancient, it was so green that when you fed the fish you could only see the mouth getting the food, we had no idea how many fish there were or how big they were.
This stuff has cleared the pond to a completely clear water in just under 2 weeks combined with a new uv filter system but there has been a catch. the product has changed the water and the koi reacted to it. One of the big ones unfortunately jumped out of the pond and died due to the change in water and no net being installed over the pond. I didn’t even know fish could jump but beware if you don’t have a net over your pond, you’re fish may react and try to jump out of the water.
Can’t fault the product it did was it was advertised to do. Just make sure you cover your pond to avoid the same mistake I made
I MADE THE MISTKE OF ORERING TWO LARGE BOMBS AND PUT ONE IN THE POND AND ONE IN THE FILTER BOX – TOO MUCH. THIS YEAR HAVE BOUGHT LARGE BOMB FOR POND AND SMALLER ONES TO PUT IN FILTER OVER TIME, MUCH BETTER. CLEANED PUMP IN FILTER BOX AND FITTED NEW LAMP, PLUS SOME ‘GREEN AWAY’ LIQUID IN POND SO NOW CAN SEE ALL MY FISH CLEARLY. ENVII BOMB PRODUCT NOT A PANACEA, BUT LIKE THEIR OTHER PRODUCTS DOES DO WHAT IT IS ADVERTISED TO DO!
Used this to clear the green from round the edges of my new pond. Worked beautifully. BUT the local cats and pigeons seem to like tipping plants into the pond which makes the water look muddy. I am unable to clear this but have removed all accessible plants! Fortunately I do not have fish as pond is much too small.
Used the lot over about a month; the water is clearer but not see-through clear. Neglected 1000 gallon pond.
I have used two complete doses of this product and on the whole it worked well and definitely cleared the water quickly. . I do have an extreme problem with blanket weed in this pond and I was hoping it would banish this too but it is still coming back. I will try another dose or if you can recommend something else I will try that too! Your service is excellent and the product has clear instructions and very easy to use.

Tried many products and envil pond clear and pond clear extra are the only ones that work for me. Don’t need to add any other products to pond. My pond is unusual in so far as it is constantly fed by water from my sewage treatment plant. After STP it goes through a reed bed then into pond. Water is clear and very good quality but constantly changing. A little dose of Envil once a week or every couple of weeks as necessary keeps water nice and clear. No problem with fish – have too many!!
i liked it it took a few mixes to work,the very clear water i wanted i never got but i am satisfied with what it cleared.

I have tried ‘everything’ to get clear pond water – running two large filters (with uv), cleaning them regularly, adding lillies for shade, adding barley straw – even near emptying the pond and refilling – but it is a sun trap and green water develops almost instantly with none of the above ‘conventional’ treatments working. Then I tried Pond Klear Xtra. Nothing happened at first, but after ~two weeks and the third application – hey presto! Crystal clear water. It does what it says on the tin!
Took all of this bottle to clear green, has taken 3 treatments. But pond still not clear enough to see through.
After years of my partner struggling with a green sludgy cess pool that passed for a pond I decided to take action. I tried various powders and liquids, some successful but didn’t last. I read the reviews for Envii Klear and thought I’ve got nothing to lose. I bought the first bottle, cleaned the filters and pumps and threw in the first lot liberally. Three weeks later, no change, then I bought Envii extra Klear, cleaned the filters, pump, box, pipes and liberally threw in the first treatment. Two weeks went on with the same cleaning every day, one morning and eureka, I could see fish. Now I was on a winning streak, every morning I excitedly cleaned the whole filter system, now 8 weeks on, I have crystal clear water, can see the bottom, I have 16 fish, 3 babies, plants, frogs, a bit of algae, a lot of pride and one over on my partner! Oh and a garden that is thriving on the amount of green water and fish poo that has gone on it over the last 8 weeks…win win. Perseverance and patience is the key.
Like all natural treatments you must be patient but the end result is a good clear pond. Good filtration is a must and regular cleaning of the filters also for the best results
Works really well, our pond was very green and looked more like a swamp… we used pond klear in combination with sludge buster and the pond pump, and after couple of weeks difference is definitely visible – ponds water looks so clear and after a long time, we can see the bottom of the pond again 🙂
Take my advice and don’t have fish, they eat the wildlife and cloud the water with droppings and uneaten food. There’s just as much fun to be had watching lots of newts and frogs, especially for the kids and your making a positive contribution to wildlife in your area. You won’t need so many gadgets and products to clear the water either.
This product is amazing. We have 4 fish in our school pond, and Envi pond Klear does exactly what it says without harming the fish or plants in the pond. It is great as we don’t have electric UV pumps or filters, just a solar pump/fountain and and aerator. I have been using this for the past two years and will continue to use it.
2nd large bottle that I have used over two years, and been completely happy with the outcome.. My pond is very irregular in shape, and has a varying shape shelf approx 12″ deep, dropping vertically to 4’6″-5′ feet, so it is impossible to estimate water capacity. Dosing has to be on best estimate basis.
Even so, after scooping out as much as possible by hand, and then dosing (possibly overdosing) I have been pleased that within 2-3 weeks all signs of blanket weed and other “green stuff” has been completely eliminated and the fish can be viewed to a great depth.
I will continue to use it in the future.
I am pleased with product used before cleared my pond in a week taking longer this time as I did not use it all winter perhaps I should have
So how has this product performed? Not too well at first and I believe that this was due to the pump and filtration system, which whilst solar powered, had an additional battery powered option, which we used to ensure 8 hours of filtering a day. We persevered and purchased a better pump and whilst this had a UV lamp which is constantly on, the combination of the two is addressing the problem. The method which we use to treat our pond is to remove about 8-10 litres of water from the pond, dose it with 25ml of the agent, stir it well and then leave it to develop for 24 hours before introducing it to the main pond whilst the pump and filter is switched off – we leave it for 12 hours and then switch the pump back on – the UV lamp will kill the bacteria created by the concentrate, but we believe that it multiplies sufficiently to remove the algae in sufficient numbers to survive the UV light for an extended period of time..
So why 4 stars? Well this is an intermediate report, however, I think that whilst this product has contributed, so has the new pump, plus I get really irritated when suppliers contact me asking me to review their products too soon, not once, but twice, particularly as from their own instructions they suggest that you may not see results for weeks.
+++UPDATE+++
A month later and 5 doses of the product the water in the water feature is clear and the large cobble pebbles are losing the algae at a rapid rate. I intend to continue dosing the water feature through the winter, probably once a fortnight initially as the water feature is in a shaded area and will not have any direct sunlight at all until the spring, plus I believe that the low water temperature will not promote algae to grow either. If I am wrong I will increase the dose – suffice to say the water is now clear – a combination of pump and this bacterial agent.
In essence, I believe that this product, combined with a better pump and filter; which I clean each week has aided our relatively small pond to rid itself of algae. I now have to buy netting as the clear water has already ensured that the heron has been spotted in our garden and whilst the water feature is very close to our house, I have no doubt that in the spring, the heron will pay a fleeting visit – in every silver lining lurks a cloud.
I will re-review this item in a couple of weeks to see if my small water features water condition has improved still further – certainly the debris being removed from our filter suggests that it will and that this product is contributing.
After the summer sun on the pond the water was looking brown and had slime green attached to the plants, after removing most of the slime, we carried out as per instructions and so far after 3 treatments we can see through the water once more.
Sellers instructions very clear to follow, good product, well packaged and received after a few days of ordering.
I can now see 1m deep.
My pond was like a soup after I went home n holidays, had the uv lights off, air stone off and my autofeeder dropped all the food in the pond… lost quite a bit of fish…
After putting back the air stone and uv lights and cleaned the filter the water was obviously still a green soup.
So I switched off the uv lights, put envii xtra clear, two days later added a double dose of tablets, two days later switched back in the uv, cleaned the filter, ‘et voila’ the water in my pond is all clear!!!!
Our pond was shrek green. We ending up using the whole bottle to get the pond in a better state. Not crystal clear but vastly improved. Took about 3 weeks to complete.

Last week
Day 1 – Cleaned filters and removed UV bulbs. Carried out a 30% water change. Added Envii Sludge Klear
Day 2 – added Envii Pond Klear
Day 4 – water born algae build up but the water itself appeared clearer?. Cleaned filters and replaced UV Bulb
Day 5 – the water is definitely clearer!
Day 6 – are my eyes deceiving me! Are they fish I can see????
Day 7 – WOW! I can see at least 3 feet down and all of my fish, including some Rudd which I didn’t even know I had!
If the ponds stays at the current level of clarity I will be extremely happy. But I have a feeling that I will be able to see the bottom which is 5 feet in some places over the next few days. To say I am pleased is an understatement. Hopefully you can see the difference in the attached photos. One before Pond Klear and two taken today, day 7. I’ve tried so many products in the past but won’t be now. This is my recipe for success!!
Update July 21. Pond crystal clear! Envii sludge klear is also amazing. I can see patches if white gravel that I didn’t know was there!
My 1800 gallon pond was left as a wild life pond after my fish, several decades old, finally died. Believing that without the fish there would be less maintenance needed, I disposed of my filter, but kept my powerful pump running. The result was a green and grungy looking pond with little signs of life within.Having experience over the years of various algae clearers and knowing that they would not be enough I tried Envii Pond Clear. Although with little difference initially, I telephoned the supplier and received nothing but friendly good advice from Andy. I fitted a filter, used Pond Clear Extra and today am looking through clear water to the bottom of a pond full of pond creatures. This has taken a few weeks and various telephone calls and emails with Andy. Many thanks and hugely recommended for service and product.

I find the measure cap is very difficult to get to fill properly however my pond is beginning to clear, I have not yet finished the treatment so will hold judgment till then.
Update:- The pond continues to clear and algae reducing. I’m treating the pond on a weekly basis and it is working. The water is getting clearer and looking less “soupy”. Only netting a negligible amount of floating algae now and the bottom of the pond is in plain view again. It was a particularly bad influx of algae and quite dramatic. At the beginning of April my water was crystal clear and in 2 days I couldn’t see the bottom of the pond, then all this floating algae appeared during the day and my uv filters couldn’t do a thing about it.
At last I can see my fish!! Not all the green has gone but I am still treating the pond! All tadpoles hatched and are now bounding round the garden and enjoying their environment! Think some of the green algae is attached to the pond liner but the fish are nibbling at it and the pond plants. May have to have another bottle of the Xtra to finish the job and to keep on top of it in future! Thanks for your tips and all around help with the pond!!
UPDATE:: One month in and my pond is still crystal clear……..so am happy to recommend this to anyone………if you have a cloudy pond just be patient, it may take a couple of weeks to clear but it does work…..
After 3 weeks in the pond, the ammonia levels are down to zero, weather temperatures have struggled to raise the water temperature above 10deg C, so I have to say that the product appears to be working well. I will monitor over the next weeks to see if this is maintained.
Just added second dose to my wildlife pond. No fish no filters, and already looking better.
My advice is to ‘stick with it’ and not expect an instant result. It is not a cheap product but it does do ‘what it says on the tin’. Manufacturers emphasise it is not a quick fix so please don’t expect that – I doubt there is a “quick fix” for this problem!
I cannot praise this product enough. I have two ponds in my garden, a fishpond and a wildlife pond. The fishpond has never been a problem but the wildlife pond is underneath an old Bramley Apple tree and is constantly gunged up. Then I discovered Envii Pond Klear Xtra. I gave the pond a good clear out and gave it its first treatment. It took a few weeks but the pond has remained clear for weeks now with regular treatments. 1 week after adding pond Klear Xtra to my pond the water is getting much clearer, I can now see my fish below the surface. Every day I am cleaning out my filters as this product is shifting so much dirt & algae. Another 3 weeks & my water should be clear & clean, the koi will be able to see where they are going !!!
I saw some clumping in the beginning but only marginal improvement in the clarity. I possibly did not dose it heavily enough in the early stages (as the bottle recommends) but having hit the pond with a couple of bottles the pond eventually started to clear.
Stick with it and this works. I am now using the extra strength once a fortnight in small doses to keep the algae under control and all seems good.
After good after sales advice from Andy who phoned me to try to resolve my green water prob I am slowly seeing a slight improvement I think paitience needs to prevail with this product.
as I am unable to use my pond pump at the moment, this is a good product for keeping the water clea
UPDATE. I wrote the above review 11 months ago. I still stand by it. In December 2016, my pump went to the great watery heaven in the sky. Weather & pennies prevented me from replacing it for a couple of months. By the time I did, the poor fish were going blind, the water was so bad (I think the air stones were the saving grace for a few months). I ordered a new pump & added the Envii even though the bottle had been in my shed for almost a year. After a week, the water was still dirty. I thought perhaps it had gone past it’s “Best By” Oh how wrong I was. I waited a little longer & added a tad more & my pond cleared again. I just love this product. I don’t know if it was just a coincidence or not, but my fish last spring, having added this, were very frisky & I now have more fish. Now I’m not saying it was just down to Envii, but I can’t ignore the fact that the only change was this stuff.
