This was my last product to try and clear my very muddy looking pond that we inherited with a new house. It’s honestly been amazing and the water is crystal clear and I can see all the fish right at the bottom of a very deep pond. With this product patience is everything, it was not a quick fix but it really did fix it after about 3 weeks along with cleaning the filter regularly.
we have only just received this and used it once so far so good. we did clean pond and pump first before adding Klear Xtra. it worked within 24 hours. so far very happy
I have quite a large pond which was thick green and i’d given up trying different things to fix it. I find calculating the amount of pond water and then the amount of treatment required quite difficult. I cleaned the pump and filters and added about a third of the bottle to a watering can and added to the pond. I then cleaned the pond filters every couple of days. I did this three times in total from one bottle of treatment and the water is now considerably clearer.
My biggest bugbear with these bottles is the dosage contraption. I don’t find it helpful at all in calculating how much you need. It also make it really difficult to get the stuff out of the bottle. I end up cutting the top off the bottle. Maybe that is easier for smaller ponds but I need to use quite a lot of treatment.
Overall it worked for me but ponds still seem to be a bit hit and miss. I inherited mine with the house so i’m still figuring it out!
I bought this for my pond but I actually bought the wrong product. I should’ve bought a product called lake clear as my pond is nearly 100,000 L. Put this in anyway and then added one sachet of Lake clear. I also added 5 kg of calcium carbonate. The idea was was to get rid of of the algae and improve the pH of the pond. This was completely done using this company’s products. Very pleased
This certainly isn’t a quick fix solution however, the instructions do state quite clearly that it may take 6-8 weeks before your pond finally clears up. It took 5 weeks for me and my pond had been extremely murky with green algae before any was administered. I can now see the bottom of the pond once again which is a great relief.
Our pond water was really green and we couldn’t see our fish or anything else. I used this product and followed the instructions. After a couple of weeks the pond was still green but I continued to carry on using the product anyway. I think it took about 5 weeks or so and now the pond is crystal clear so I’m really pleased and would definitely recommend this product. You really have to be patient and follow the instructions to get good results, I did and I’m so pleased with the outcome. Just remember to be patient.
We hacc by e used this product on a number of occasions over time to clear our pond and have always found it an excellent choice. It is easy to use and clears the pond well, making it good value for money.
Fabulous product. Couldn’t see fish at all, the pond water was so green. Took about 6 weeks, so need a little patience, but the water is now crystal clear.
I followed all the instructions as detailed on the bottle. Within a couple of days I could see some improvements. Re dosed, after cleaning all the filters, and after about 10 days..brilliant, I can see all my fish, the bottom of the pond, and the water is crystal clear.
Having tried umpteen products before, I was sceptical. But I have to say…THIS REALLY WORKS.
My only advice to anyone trying this, BE PATIENT, and keep cleaning the filters, they will clog very quickly.
We made a new pond this year ( approx 60000 litres) , it initially turned green with an algal bloom but as soon as I added this product it cleared . A week or so later the water turned a murky brown so I used another bottle . The pond cleared within 3 days and the water has been literally crystal clear ever since . In my hands outstanding!
You might need to he patient my pond was a deep green. On initial use it turned a brown colour. After 4 weekly doses the pond started to clear. Not perfect yet but it is improving and I can now see the tops of plant pots in the deep sections.
After a couple more weeks the improvement has continued and I can see and retrieve small rocks that the birds had knocked from the margins to the deepest wate
Had a new lawn put in and unfortunately the top soil caused an amount of dust which resulted in a brown pond..
Tried other treatments to no avail. Whether it was a final result of those treatments combined with this I don’t know but a week after the first application the pond started to clear and continues with the recommended weekly dose
