I purchased this machine to replace my 9 yr old Tesco expresso machine exactly the same design, I loved it. I searched the Internet for information and reviews of expresso machines and was completely confused. I did not want to pay hundreds of pounds and did not want a machine that needed a degree to use. Then this little beauty came up on Amazon. I am delighted with it and being the same design as my old one is just great. So far, my coffees are perfect for me, good flavour, good temperature, easy to use and clean. I use a small Coffee Roaster from York (Divine) and love their coffees. It would be really good I feel if Amazon would let you review a purchase after a year.
It is so easy to use..trust me…if I can use it anyone can. I’ve always wanted a coffee machine but was always put off by the cost….and then I found this little beauty. I do use a good Italian coffee in my machine and comes out perfect every time.
It does feel a little flimsy when you first get it… it’s plastic..that is the only negative but is as good at making coffee than any coffee shop. It’s very easy to clean and is perfect for my small kitchen.

This is a compact coffee maker (27cm x19cm) which fits easily on even the smallest shelf. And it looks good. It looks like a smaller version of the kind of machine you’d get in any coffee shop and makes you feel a bit fancy when making your coffees!
The preparation for making an espresso is simple but there are a few things that you should keep in mind and, like other reviewers have noted, it does take some time to get the exact blend that you like.
You get a combined measuring spoon and tamper downer with the machine which you use to fill the machine with a suitable coffee. That’s the first proviso: you have to ensure that the coffee grounds are medium to course. If they are too fine the espresso will not taste great. If you don’t get the right taste keep experimenting – that’s half the fun with these kind of machines, I feel.
Once the filter is ready it’s locked into position on the machine. Make sure the water tank at the rear has sufficient water and switch the machine on. When the ready light comes on place a cup under the filtered press the espresso button. The espresso will run through the machine. Easy peasy.
Sadly there are no instructions provided as to how to make different types of coffee that the machine can make although there are plenty of instructions on the internet. It would have been a nice and simple addition just to add in a sheet with instructions / recipes.
The next stage is to prepare the frothed milk to finish off the type of coffee you’re making. Again it’s a simple process but it would be easier if there was a stainless steel frothing cup included. Or any cup really. Not a massive thing and again, experimentation will help you get your coffee just the way you like it.
Overall, this is a simple and good looking coffee machine that, with some trial and error, will get you a decent cup of coffee or two and make you feel like a bona fide barista! 4 stars.
This coffee machine is unlike any I’ve used before. I’m used to using the ones that you buy specific coffee pods for and simply stick in the machine, turn it on, and the machine does the rest! This machine is not like that in anyway whatsoever….
There is no automation with this machine. There are no set programs or any sort of timed activity. This is essentially a fully DIY coffee machine. You must add the type and amount of coffee that you want, you must then brew the coffee for as long as you want, and you must also froth your milk for as long as you want. There aren’t any instructions on how to make various coffees, because this machine is essentially a universal coffee maker and you need to refer to youtube guides on how to make different coffees.
This is by no means a bad thing, I think it’s great that you have so much control over your coffee, but it does mean that this is something that you actually WANT. If you’re wanting a simple machine that you press one button for and come back 3 minutes later, then look elsewhere. If you want a machine where you can experiment making different kinds of coffee, then this is perfect for you!
Overall, I think this coffee machine is definitely for the more experienced coffee maker and I’d recommend it for that purpose.
This is a nice and compact coffee machine. I have used a well known brand coffee machine before which uses pods. This uses ground coffee which I think works out to be a lot cheaper and wastes less packaging too.

– little instructions so just have to trial and error. However it is easy enough to operate

Obviously some trials and experiments are required if you’ve never used one before in order to get your ideal flavour. (He’s not wrong there)
There is a distinct lack of instruction regarding how to fully use the machine to it’s full potential straight out of the box. (Getting to be a habit of companies not putting ANY or decent instructions with their goods)
As is often the case the instructions seem to assume that you are familiar with using such equipment. (Yes they do it’s a pain)
Instructions reference using a steel jug for milk frothing but the jug is not included with the machine. (If you’re showing something at least LINK to it if it’s not with the product, I had muttering man for hours)
When brewing the coffee you need to stop it manually as it is not automated to a set amount of water. (He won’t add his cup overflowed the first time as he assumed it stopped lol, just as I’m shouting from the front room, IT WON’T STOP ON IT’S OWN, so says reviewers! I got there too late)
Also leave the cup under the coffee filter whilst frothing the milk as this will catch remnants dripping through the filter whilst steaming.
Parts are easily removed for cleaning.
(Also there’s a warming plate on the top, he forgot to mention. Not really much use as I hardly heated up. I’m now stalking the tinternet to try to find how to actually MAKE any of the drinks they say this machine can do).
The milk frother is really good, it is not hard to use and once you get the hang of frothing the milk it gets easier to judge how long to steam the milk for and eventually be able to make a variety of different coffees. The only thing about the milk frother is that it is slightly too short, however it is expected with such a compact coffee machine.
The cup warmer is a nice feature but it takes a while to heat up the mug so if you want your coffee right away there is not much use for it.
Overall, this coffee machine is definitely great value for money and a really useful kitchen appliance that is easy to use, clean and looks great too. Highly recommend to someone that is looking for an affordable barista style coffee at home.

We have been using this Espresso coffee machine by Homever for a couple of weeks and although it doesn’t have the build quality of our more expensive Gaggia machine it does offer quite a lot for your money. This is a versatile machine that can make many different types of coffee, and features a 15 bar pressure pump, dual boiler, 1.5 litre water tank and a milk frother. This machine is straightforward to use, and to keep clean after use, and with change out of one hundred pounds currently from Amazon it offers decent value for features and performance at the price. Not quite as easy to use as a pod machine but you can make a cup of coffee just how you like it — De’Longhi and Gaggia coffee machines have better build quality but at a higher price — this Homever model deserves four stars at the current price.
This machine is straight forward to use. It is also very easy to clean, the drip tray is removable and the rest of the machine is easy to wipe down with a clean damp cloth.
The removable water tank holds enough water to make several cups of coffee and steamed milk. It slots in easily and securely at the back of the machine.
There is a measuring spoon included which also tampers the coffee. The listing suggests that you can make 2 coffees at once, but I find that it is only suitable for naking one at a time.
You have to manually stop the flow of coffee, as it doesn’t automatically stop. The first coffee overflowed and it was weak in strength as once the crema was produced, it just added hot water.
There are two thermostats, one for the coffee, one for the milk frother. They can be used at the same time, but it is a bit fiddly so I do them separately. There is also a hot plate on the top to warm up the cups, although I do not find it to be very effective.
I was a bit confused, as I thought that a milk jug was included, but it appears that it is not. There are also no instructions on how to make lattes and cappuccinos. A quick Google informed me on how to use the milk frother to make them. You need to wipe the steamer pipe after use, and let out some more steam to clean it.
This heats up very quickly, and it is quick and easy to make a coffee. You do need to use small, short cups, as a mug will not fit under the filter. I make the coffee in a small cup and then tip it into a larger cup with the steamed milk when I am making lattes.
This is a nice, stylish looking machine, it is also square and compact, so it can fit snugly in the corner. It doesn’t take up a lot of room.
This makes excellent coffee, and the milk frother steams and froths the milk effectively. This is an excellent coffee machine. It allows me to have coffee shop style coffee at home easily and cheaply.
The machine is straight forward to use and produces a nice cup of coffee. I am still learning but am starting to get quite proficient. My initial couple of cups were Luke warm and I thought, here we go what a waste of money but after reading a few reviews I identified that if you add cold water from the tap, cold milk from the fridge and a cold cup you get cold coffee! I put the milk in the microwave for about 25 secs and pre heat the cup with boiling water and get a nice hot cuppa.
You need to empty the drip tray every day as the system works with pressurised water and any excess is diverted to the drip tray. You need to wipe the recess where the portafilter locates as grinds accumulate on it during the brewing process (caution as it is hot) I run a cleaning process after use on the milk steamer system every day and once a week I run a full clean with an empty portafilter in place and a full main water tank (press the bottom right clean button for 5secs, don’t leave the machine as you need to empty the cup underneath the portafilter two or three times). Do not use a really fine grind as it blocks the portafilter and the machine has a turn! Likewise don’t try and speed up the process by removing the milk container whilst the coffee is passing through the portafilter as the machine also gets very upset.
In summary I am pleased with my purchase and very much enjoying the whole experimenting with different coffees.
This is a nice compact coffee machine that allows you to have barista style coffees in the comfort of your own home.
It was really easy to set up, it’s proving easy to use, and cleaning it is a doddle.
A little bit pricey, but I’ll save on going out for coffees in the long run.
But I was confused and annoyed to find there wasn’t a milk steaming jug with it. You’d think for that price they would include it. Especially when you can see one in some of the photos. But alas, no jug, and a further 8 later I had one and I nice coffee.
This machine is amazing! I was curious to try it as soon as I got it, because I was a little skeptical about the price, quality, and functionality. However, it did not disappoint!
Because there are many coffee drinkers in our family, they desperately need coffee at the same time every morning.
Very easy to use, the milk foams perfectly, and the container is easy to clean and store in the refrigerator when not in use.
Finally, the appearance of the product is very cute and smooth. Just look at it, and its design is very good. Every step in the process is well thought out and made as easy as possible for users to complete.

Ease of use is the easiest imaginable, even my elderly mom could make out. Good build, very quiet, the different selection of coffee is amazing. Stable, compact, reliable, in general I advise everyone.
This is a great machine with some features I’ve not seen before and some that have become important for good coffee.
I particularly like the the ability to use two separate thermostats for both coffee and milk separately. You can make the coffee to your own tastes. The machine heats up fast in well under a minute and, with a 1.5lt reservoir, you can make coffee for quite a while before re-filling.
Not heard of Homever before, but this is a good coffee machine
Great machine which I have used for 18 months with Lavazza vacumm packed 250 g coffee packs . I prefer the Crema e Gusto type but Rosa and Expresso all give great taste and good crema. One pack last me about two – three weeks one shot a day. So about 1.30 a week! Each shot will make two small expresso cups however I use a single shot to make a large strongish satisfying americano with good crema. You can fit one mug 8.5 cm high x 8.5 wide under the coffee holder but if you remove the drip tray you can fit two 7 x 10.5 high mugs and make two medium strength americanoes . 1.5 l water holder is bigger than some competitors.
I think the steam attachment works well and froths milk with an acceptable relatively little steam injection.
In short provides an ecomonical, reliable , and relatively easy to use alternative to enviromentally bad pods and the rouninous regular trips to the the coffee shop.
Espresso machine
This is very competitively priced for an espresso machine, it doesn’t have all the complicated touch screens of the more expensive machines, nor does it have a bean grinder and you need to froth and heat your milk separately but for the money it is surprisingly good.
It heats up and is ready to go really quickly, no hanging around.
You get 15 bar pressure going through your coffee grinds which extracts the flavours and oils to produce a decent coffee with a good crema.
The water tank is a decent 1.5 l so can produce several cups of coffee and steam plenty of milk between each refill.
You get a cup warmer on the top of the machine, this is a bit of a stretch if I’m honest as it heats the cups very slightly at best.
The milk frother is good, it takes a little practice to get the best results, basically you need to hold the wand towards the front of the jug, sitting in the milk and when it produces a kind of tearing sound you’ve cracked it and the milk will quickly double in volume. The amount and texture of milk is what makes the different kinds of coffee, lattes have a lot of milk and a layer of foam, flat whites have a “flatter ” smaller bubbled milk, both are possible with this machine.
Cleaning is easy, but needs to be done regularly, the removable tray under the coffee cups fills up and needs to be emptied and washed regularly. The milk wand also needs a wipe clean and a blast of steam sending through it after each use to keep things clean and hygienic.
For the price I am impressed by the machine and the coffee it makes.
It is really simple to use just adding ground coffee and water and also has a milk steamer see you literally have your own coffee station which you can make at any time of the day any time of the week all being in the convenience of your own home. It comes in a black and stainless steel and looks very stylish.
I must admit my friends are quite jealous and are very impressed by my new espresso coffee machine. You can make all the coffees you want like latte cappuccino and any others you dare to try.
It’s all under 100 and it will soon pay for itself as we know how expensive just a plain cuppa coffee from my well-known coffee chain costs.

I must admit that I was a little concerned as to how big this machine would be, considering all the various functions that this has. My existing coffee machine takes up a fair amount of worktop space and that only brews one type of coffee. I was very pleased and somewhat pleasantly surprised that this ‘Espresso Coffee Machine with Milk Steamer’ is smaller and takes up less space than my existing machine. This is partly due to it’s square design where it fits snugly into the corner of our worktop.
The machine is supplied with a measuring spoon along with a filter spoon that clips into the underside of the machine. The machine does appear to be well made, it also looks quite modern and stylish sitting on our worktop. On the rear of the machine is a large plastic water tank that holds 1.5 litres of water, this tank supplies the interior heating chamber that heats just a small amount of the water at a time to prevent wasting energy. It’s quite amazing that this is capable of making 8 different types of hot drink, those are: Latte, Lungo, Mocha, Espresso, Macchiato, Flat White, Americano, and Cappuccino. On top of the machine is a heating plate where cups can be placed to prewarm them before filling with coffee.
This is so easy to use, just fill the water tank, place a cup on the inner tray, fill the filter cup with coffee and wait. All of the controls are on the front of the machine and are easy to work out. I am very pleased with this as I’m purely a traditional coffee drinker, yet my wife and son are big espresso fans so we are all happy.

If, like me, you want a straight-forward machine, without bells and whistles, then this is a excellent product for you. It has a decent size water tank so you are not constantly refilling it. It heats the water up quickly and the pressure is good so I get the expresso and creme out in 10-15s.
The milk frother is also perfectly adequate although I’ve been harsh with the rating and knocked a star off because this is the weakest point of the machine. The steam pressure is perfectly adequate for milk frothing for a home machine like this but it would be even better if it were stronger and occasionally the plastic part of the attachment falls off into the milk, although this may be partly user-error.
I’ve found that regular descaling (every couple of months) makes a big difference to the steam pressure so I make sure I keep on top of that and the steam pressure is perfectly fine. Don’t let this last paragraph about steam pressure stop you from buying the product. If you’re anything like me, it can drive you mad looking at reviews for products, you think you’ve found the perfect product but then see there is a chink in the armour! This coffee machine is a really good product and very good value.
I have lived in Italy for 10years & have experienced top quality expresso’s… This product is right up there for taste, easy to use and cleaning. Exceptional for the price and very compact….delivering a consistent experience but not dominating the kitchen workspace.

This is my third coffee machine. Previous two were of different brands. I’d say I am pretty happy and impressed with this item, so far. It works great, looks great and seems to be pretty easy to maintain.
Great budget coffee machine…it makes a great cup of coffee, but be aware, you need to keep an eye on it as it doesn’t stop flowing automatically….we have had a few mini floods when I got distracted doing other things!

For the money it makes a reasonable Expresso Coffee, but may depend on your idea of a good coffee taste, quick heat up, other machines we have had needed a 5/10 minute warmup before making the coffee, steamer works well.

On the whole, I’m.oleaeed with the machine. It’s very lightweight, and feels ‘cheap’, but then it is!
At a quarter of the price of other expresso machines, you’d expect this one to be flimsy and rough round the edges. It is a bit, but for the price you can’t really complain.
The buttons, especially the steam one, are hard to tell if they’re actually depressed or not. However, it is easy to use, simply fill with coffee, wait til it gets up to temp and bingo!

1. flush some hot water through into a mug to clear out any residue from previous coffee and throw away
2.fill 1/3 to 1/2 cup of hot water and add a splash of cold or steamed milk
3. Using fresh ground espresso beans, fill the coffee filter and press down. Insert to the machine and fill the remainder of your mug
4. Scoop off excess froth from your coffee and leave yourself with crema.
It can take some time to perfect without detailed instruction, but ultimately it is a good and simple coffee machine for home use. Good value for money too. If using the steam wand, avoid leaving milk residue to dry and clean it immediately

Brought this product for my partner for Christmas, he absolutely loves it!! Really easy to use and clean afterwards. Makes a cracking cup of coffee for a fraction of the cost of a Costa or Starbucks.
