Great little saw. Once you set it up it cuts beautifully. Not meant for commercial everyday use but for DIY use it’s great for the money. The blade is very sharp and cut all types of wood perfectly.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersGot this for my shed for DIY projects. It’s an unbelievable machine for the money and will cut pretty much anything with ease. The only thing I would say is a bit of a pain is the dust bag at the back. You can’t really have it up to a wall etc. Would 100% recommend this compact, powerful, little saw. Very happy

It’s small and compact but packs a lot of power used to cut pallet into a picket fence cutting hard wood with ease and used to cut coving again nice clean cut and perfect angles

After setting up as per video instructions, almost accurate on straight cut. Saves a lot of time having previously used a Sandvic hand saw.

Golden Review Award: 8 From Our UsersA while ago I bought myself a mitre saw. It did everything, tilted both ways and had a long slide so you could accommodate really wide boards. The issue was that it was a gigantic tool requiring a great deal of garage room that I didn’t really have and, as time went by, it became apparent that I didn’t need all the features of that saw. I only ever really cut 90 or 45 degree angles into 4x2s or 3×2 (89×38 and 63×38) timber (or things of a similar magnitude).

I got rid of that monster and have bought this. It’s brilliant. I’d watched all the Youtube videos about how to adjust it before first use but I was lucky and mine was perfectly set up (blade 90 degrees to the fence and the base) out of the box.

The footprint of the machine is tiny and the cuts are perfect.

Obviously of you do want to cut wider things you’d need something bigger but for my usage this is perfect.

    Wish I’d bought this first.

Well made and solid machine. Very easy to set up and to use, although the adjustable orange plastic knobs could be made bigger and easier to twist/use. The blade cuts cleanly and easily and the 1200W motor makes light work of most of the items I need to cut. It could be a little more sturdy in terms of the straightness of the cut, but this is a minor issue. On the whole a great purchase.

I bought this specifically for DIY and maker projects to cut aluminium as well as plastics and wood, and it doesn’t dissapoint. The saw is well made, sturdy and has enough adjustment for what I need, such as cutting 2040, 2020 aluminium extructions, the blade that comes with it made light work of this material, and you get perfect surfaces after the cut, brilliant. If I had a bit more cash I’d have gone for the version that has the sliding saw carriage, just to be abel to cut wider things, but you wont go wrong with this one either.

Really really nice piece of kit! once the blade and guide were aligned (thanks youtube!) i went cutting and this thing was fantastic right out the gate. I was building a seating area and the frame needed to be accurate, i was able to put it together in no time thanks to the speedy cuts and precision off the saw!

Tested with wood only so far but i’m certain this thing does what it states!

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersHad this saw 14 months now it has done thousands of cuts. It gets used for simple chop saw use across 3×2 scant for studwork. Can’t really fault it for that purpose. It’s not mega accurate but is more than good enough for the above duty. I’m still on the original blade, which has lost a little bit of the original sharpness but in no way bad considering the number of cuts and the cost of the tool. Treat it with a degree of care and you have a decent tool for a very fair price. I have a much more expensive item for accurate work so it’s horses for courses.

I’ve had this saw for a few weeks now and it’s working well for me. It’s got a decent enough capacity to be useful but, at the same time, is also small enough to be very portable and easy enough to store in a cupboard.
The biggest downside to is it the setting up of it. It’s a great saw for right angle cutting but after that you need to do a bit of work setting up the stops and checking the angle of your cuts. It’s something that bugs me a bit but at the same time I really didn’t want to spend more money on something that’s not in use every day.
The bottom line is that I’m glad I bought it and will use it a lot.

If you aren’t going to be a heavy duty user (perhaps, like me, you’re just planning to cut a few planks and skirting boards to size) then this is a great value. It’s built down to a price; the guides and screw attachments for the single clamp could be better. I’ve never owned a tool like this but it works very well. It’s scary as hell every time you spin it up, so it takes a bit of time to get confident in using it and to get the cut where you want it. I’m very happy with the results, though.

Bought this to cut aluminium tile trims, does it perfectly fine. Its maybe not a cheap as chips mitre saw but it saves you loads of time, and time is worth more than money. The multi purpose blade is ideal for my requirements. The little clamp is perfect for holding down the work piece, stops it moving about and keeps your fingers well out of the way.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersI bought this compound mitre saw as i needed to chop up some wood to make framework for my new shed and workstation.

It’s a brilliant compound saw, straight out of the box i had it on the workbench clamped down and a minute later once i figured out how to release the safety lock i was away cutting wood.

If you’re like me a complete amateur who needs power tools but can’t justify spending hundreds on a single tool you’ll use a few times a year this is a great option, just please make sure you’re taking into account the size of the cuts you’ll need to make as this compound doesnt have work horses and you can’t make the biggest cuts on it.

I can’t speak for the blades ability to cut through alloys and retain its cutting edge, i was using it purely for wood and after 4 hours of cutting construction grade timber the blade is still as razor sharp as it was out of the box.
The blade cuts very accurately provided you’re clamping the workpiece down.

For 65, i’m very happy as i can’t be bothered wasting 3 days cutting wood with a saw when this bad boy chops up decking like a hot knife through butter.

Obviously this compound mitre is lacking features like a dedicated table (sold seperately for the same price as the saw mind you), work horses to stabilise long workpieces, and the workpiece clamp is not super heavy duty but that’s why it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
Fit for purpose, works like a charm, very nice design making it lightweight and portable, i’m as happy as a pig in mud.

It’s good, but a bit limiting in the size it cuts. I’ve been cutting softwood lengths 65×75 cms and it only just manages, this is because the quard does not move out of the way quick enough, leaving a dint on the corner. Also, it never quite catches the final lower back corner. Next time round I’ll go for a more expensive one.

It’s a nice saw for the price (lower end) and cuts nice and clean. I purchased this as an Amazon Warehouse return and it works fine but the box shows it with a household 240v UK plug on it which isn’t the case as it’s got the 110v trade plug on it (see photos) which needs a transformer unit to work and reduce voltage for safety on sites. I’m just using it at home so a normal plug would’ve saved me some hassle and once I purchased the transformer (around 50) I didn’t really save any money on the price of a new 240v model. It’s loosing a star for that reason, the box is misleading showing the incorrect plug. Other than that it’s a great little saw for cutting wood, says you can cut other stuff too but haven’t tried it on metal etc. Get a saw with 240v plug unless you’re trade or already have an expensive transformer.

The cable had been changed on the machine, which should have been a 3 pin plug, need to change it back again to what it should been and I wanted, unless I can find the correct extension to fit it. In the end, I have brought myself a transformer yellow to match the cable fittings, boy it was heavy and works ok.

I was shocked at the how cheap this thing was. Most mitre saws with similar features will cost you at least twice the price of this one. There are some limitations, it won’t cut deep enough to tackle really chunky bits of timber but it can cut most of the way and allow you to finish the cut with a handsaw. A laser is the only thing I really miss from the more expensive saws but I’ve got quite good at just bringing the blade really close to the timber and lining it up by eye.

If you want to start building things with timber but don’t want to commit to paying 120+ for a full featured saw, this one is a very good introduction and will do almost everything you need it to do.

    Bargain!

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersVery pleased with this for the money. It is quite small and compact, has mount points to secure it to a work bench if needed. Comes with a very good multi-purpose blade that does surprisingly clean cuts on wood but will also go through light metal (handy if your wood contains nails or screws). Can be tilted up to 45 degrees each way on the horizontal and vertical axes.

The blade guard is very good and slides out the way when it contacts your work piece. You can actually cut bigger pieces than advertised if you manually hold the blade guard out of the way (but be very careful, not advisable).

Build quality is absolutely fine for something of this price, but do not try and compare it with a 500 Dewalt model becasue obviously you get what you pay for. Saying that, I’ve probably made over 100 cuts so far and it all feels solid, nothing has broken.

A few negative things to note (which is why it got 4 stars and not 5):

    1. There is a sliding upright at the back of the bed, but it doesn’t have a stop on it i.e. if you don’t ensure it’s tightened up (with the little tightenting wheel), it can vibrate it’s way towards the blade and actually hits the blade.

    2. The adjustment on both axes (0-45 degrees) has slotted stages that it clicks into. However, once you adjust the angle you want, there is a bit of play between each slot. I found I had to use a speed square to measure it exactly before tightening it up and setting. Not a huge issue but it’s annoying especially on small and precise work if you cut 43/44 degrees instead of 45.

    3. The dust bag collector snags on the arm of the saw if you move it to 45 degrees. Would have been better with a small hose so you could locate the bag out of the way. Also the opening to the dust bag doesn’t close all the way up, so it only collects the worst of the dust but lets quite a bit out.

Overall, very pleased and it certainly does the job. I would perhaps go for a more expensive model next time that has a laser pointer (which isn’t necessary but is very handy).

Amazing saw at a great price!! This is my first mitre saw, purchased during lockdown and wanting to do bits and bobs round the house. It’s perfect, lightweight and easy to use. Would certainly recommend

Really pleased with this mitre saw, especially for the price as one of the cheapest on Amazon.

As a frequent DIYer I have used this a fair bit since purchase and it has handled everything I’ve thrown at it so far. I have been using it for cutting CLS timber and plastic pipe as well as the occasional bit of metal. No sign of needing a blade change after roughly a month of pretty much constant use.

Very accurate and easy to use. The only downside being the limited size of materials you can cut, which is to be expected with this type saw. If cutting anything bigger than a fence panel I’d recommend a sliding saw instead.

Absolutely love my saw. This product was second hand however it looed in MINT condition as has hardly been used.
The description was spot on. i love my saw and highly recommend that if you are thinking of buying one – this is perfec

It does the job you bought it for.
When in use Remember let the saw do the work.
If you force the cut you will get burning and blunting of the blade.
Accurate if you take the time to set things up as you should.
    This is not a toy!.

This tool is useable out of the box, but the video tutorial will give guidance on tweaks that ensure the blade is accurately set at right angles to the base. I have trouble using a hand-held power saw, and this tool makes it easy for typical timber purchased from a DIY outlet. My first job was to check that the blade was set (as mentioned) and using the 45 degree mitre, I cut a piece of 3×4 inch pine, glued the cut faces and made an accurate right-angled set-square. (which I actually used to during a greenhouse build!)
The tool has the expected safety features that does not interfere with normal usage. I used the fittings on the base to fix it to a piece of wood board that sits on my worktop, clamped by my leg-vice. Perfect!

I needed to cut some polyurethane for a DIY project. As expected, the saw cut through the polyurethane like a hot knife through butter with clean cuts. However, there are 3 design flaws that are rather annoying.
    1. Can’t use the right-hand clamp for straight (0 x 0) cuts because the saw hits the top of the clamp
    2. Similarly can’t use the left-hand clamp for bevel (45 x 0) cuts
Both of these could easily be solved by providing a shorter clamp thread, as it’s too long anyway
    3. There is no stop to prevent the sliding fence moving into the path of the saw. Didn’t impact usage but it’s dangerous and, again, would be simple to fix.
Overall, I’m pleased I got it and will keep it for future projects.

Smaller than my previous one but it’s a tough machine and cuts through 200mm wood just fine. I’m happy with it.

i have had four evo machines and various blades but overall this is the best. i use it for rough wood cutting and i am not kind to it. it handles everything well and its a shame to abuse it the way i do but it is standing up to it so far. why cant all blades be made like this. i dont expect it to last but thats okay. great machine at a good price 60.00 gbp.

I use this all the time, on all sorts of materials, never fails to give a good clean cut, I checked the blade setup when i received it and it was already inline too. No need to configure it. Looking forward to using this alot more

compact useful piece of kit for jobs around the home … this is not an industrial piece of kit
    but good value
the sawdust collection bag is not very efficient but i would recommend using outdoors where possible
i secured it to a base board so it can be used on a table top or work bench

I do very amateur stuff. For example, I wanted to build a new garden gate out of pallete wood.

Previously I was using a hand jigsaw to cut things like this. Using this mitre saw made is so much faster & the edges so much cleaner.

    Definitely recommend.

Used for decking project. Tipped blade made light work of composite boards. Small fast and powerful enough. Watch cutting capacity for larger pieces. Not perfectly accurate angles and joints so be careful. Also cut scaffold poles with this – no issues. Time saver. Dust bag useless, use a vacuum hose.
