Just make sure you put your key in the right pocket. Definitely stops the signal. A little annoying to have to keep taking it in and out of the pouch, and I have left the pouch in the car a few times. Can find my car key in my purse easier. Worth the peace of mind.

This actually works and if you value your vehicle, it’s such a simple investment in keeping your vehicle! We work hard to afford our vehicles and a simple measure like this to keep it safe is a no brainer.

The items came fast (I ordered two). I tested them, multiple times, it works fine, the car does not detect the key. Of course the material is thin and possibly fragile, so make sure that your key goes inside without any key chain with rough edges.

Good product. Does the job. Seem well made. However, I was hoping to use one pouch for both the truck and car fobs. But the pouch is really too small for this to be convenient.

Fob fits in very securely and I’m able to keep a couple of keys on it. Also it fits into my small purse easily.

This item works perfectly. The top pocket with the silver lining will block transmission of your key fob to the vehicle. I put my key fob inside, try to open my car door and nothing. Pull out the fob, works again. Life saver.

I bought this because my key fob was poorly designed (thanks Mazda) with the buttons exposed and protruding from the fob. So when I wore jeans sometimes when I sat down it would press the key fob buttons… What happened? My trunk opened up right in my drive way!!!

After I got a bike rack on the hitch. I literally couldn’t afford to have it accidentally open again and smash into the hitch. So this item has been an absolute lifesaver.

Works every time and I also use the bottom pocket to carry random things. Fits right on my keychain. It’s a little big, would love a smaller version with just the one protective pocket. Anyway, if you need to block your key fob signal for any reason. This is the item to get. Perfect!

This bag does indeed block RFID signals from a car key fob. Make sure you put the key in the SILVER-LINED part of the pouch as there is also a 2nd part of the pouch that is NOT silver lined and will not block RFID. Velcro to close the pouch fits tight.

I keep my spare key in the bag. It gets to be a little pain in the neck putting the key fob in the bag all the time. I have it if I need it I use my own discretion is went to put the key in the bag. My car is not something that I think thieves are looking to steal.

These are good quality pouches to protect my keys. They really work well to prevent radio signal from being emitted. Must put keys inside the silver lined slot inside the pouch or it will not protect against radio waves being emitted.

  20. "gamediscount" - Google News says:

I tested it out and it works. It seems well made but the silver lining looks quite delicate so that might explain why some people find that it doesn’t work over time. It’s probably not made to withstand repeated pushing on the fob button through the bag.

I don’t know if it’s works. I placed the key fob in the the pouch and tried the car door and it unlocked. Tried the start button and it started. I expected car door and ignition not to work while the fob was in the faraday pouch. I question if it is doing what it claim. ???
Correction, there are 2 pockets. The unlined allow the fob work with in the pouch. The gray/ silver line pocket worked as advertised. Changing from 3 stars to 5 stars

One thing I LOVE about my Fob is that I didn’t ever have to dig in my purse to find it to get into my car to start it (my fob was always in my purse). Now that I have the protector, I have to dig for that in my purse and take it out in order to get into the car. I am not used to that yet, so that it the only issue and drawback I have . It is a pain when I go to the store and walk out with my arms full of stuff and have to put it all down to dig for the pouch. Otherwise it does definitely block the signal from starting the car or opening the door!

I like that the key part of my fob can be separated like the Nissan key fobs. I keep the key part attached to the outside ring and Tuckaway the part that gives the signal into the bag. When is tucked in the bag I cannot unlock the door or start the car.

EFFECTIVELY BLOCKS RF THAT IS ALWAYS TRANSMITTING FROM A KEYLESS FOB. THIS STOPS HACKERS/THIEVES FROM CLONING THE FOB SIGNAL AND OPENING CAR DOORS/STARTING VEHICLE. I ALWAYS USE IT WHEN IN A PARKING LOT OR MOTEL LOT – THEY ARE FREQUENTLY CRUISED BY THIEVES. ALUMINUM FOIL WRAPPED AROUND THE FOB WORKS AS WELL, BUT WHO CARRIES ALUMINUM FOIL IN THEIR POCKET?

As others mentioned, make sure you put the remote in the correct pocket of the protector. Otherwise, the signal is not blocked. As a test, I put a remote in the pocket and held the protector right next to the start button. Tested on two different cars – same results.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI purchased this faraday pouch after reading an article of push button ignition cars being stolen. If you are not aware your key fob transmits a signal to “wake up” your car or truck 24/7. It never turns off unless you remove the battery. That signal can be captured by devices as far away as 100 feet now. Once the signal is captured, the thief can come back and steal your car when ever they want. Once your fob is placed in this pouch the signal is stopped completely. You will definitely want this if your car is visible from the road. Orders are placed daily for new model fob cars to be stolen and taken out of the country where they are rarely found or returned. Tuck your fob into its this pouch as soon as you get home or when ever you are out shopping. Once in this pouch your car or truck will not unlock or start.

Does what it is designed and advertised to do. However, the instructions for use are not illustrated in such a way as to insure that one uses the pouch correctly without first reading all the online reviews commenting on the two interior pouches only one of which is shielded.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersNot incredibly convenient, but they work well. When the fob is inside the RF protected liner the car does not detect it. There is a pocket though that is not protected, so make sure you get the fob into the envelope. It is a bit of a pain for everyday use though, you have to take it out of the pouch to unlock the door, and leave it out as you drive, and then put it back when you have finished. But it is an excellent value for your money nonetheless. I use mine to store my spare key at home.

This really works! If my fob is in the RIFD compartment of this bag my car is not able to detect it. This will keep thieves from accessing your fob code. I’ve had this a few months now it it works.

  42. AlpineCat says:

After watching a you tube video on how easy to intercept the fob that is communicating with a car that organized crime can copy the data and clone a fob. The faraday shield stops it. You need to keep the shield with you so you can put the fob when not actively using it to operate your vehicle. Make sure to put the fob in when staying in a motel.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersMy wife has a spare FOB to my car which she carries in her purse. Now if she leaves her purse in the car when we go places and we get out of the car I cannot lock the car because of the spare key is in her purse. Now with this item I put the spare key in the protective Faraday bag and bam I can now lock the car without her having to remove the extra key from her purse. This is the only reason I purchased … go get one or two.. ( bought two!).

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI own a 2017 Ford F350 and this security pouch works great. Anyone that has problems should first make sure that their fob is in the beige colored compartment of the pouch. If not as I found out the unit won’t work! Correct location and works as advertised. Two pouches come in handy as your spare fob has to be in its own pouch.

Golden Review Award: 9 From Our UsersI read the reviews and people do not realize that there are 2 pockets. The one in the front is just for money, but the one covered with the Faraday cloth is the pouch in the back, and it looks like a yellow silk pouch, THAT IS the one for the key fob. This pouch has two interior sleeves. One is silver lined (interior back) and one normal black colored, inside front. The silver lined pouch in the rear may not be noticed as the stitch and material of the new pouch is very snug. The car keys should be kept in the silver lined sleeve of the pouch for it to not communicate or block the radio frequency. Recommend it.
