I carry this meter in all our service trucks. We work on water wells/ pumps etc. everything we need and the best meter we have found to date. Compact light and easy to use
Purchased this as a gift for my husband. He had it on his wish list. Expensive, but not at the same time. My husband says this is the brand for electrical tools and he would know. He is very happy and it’s well worth the money!
This thing is slim and compact. Very easy to use and not overly complicated like other models. Only cons is that screen doesn’t light up and it’s not magnetic. Worth the price. Overall satisfied
Residential wiring is my side hustle and this meter provides all I need to get the job done. Love the size and automatic shut off feature. Very durable as well.
Came in early. Easy to use. I like the way you can put the red lead in the meter to do voltage checks and the open jaw for amps.
Because one of the Best brands.
Usefull, and just righ
Cmoda, segura y fcil de usar, el mejor tester que he usado de fluke
Bought this as a gift for my Brother in Law. He loves it. I’ve used mine for years. Can’t go wrong with Fluke.
The last meter you’ll ever need. I love the way the leads nest inside the back. Great ergonomics.
I do need to stop and think about what test I’m doing and switch to the right test: continuity, voltage or amps. Nothing wrong there.
Being able to get all three tests in one convenient tool is a nice troubleshooting rig.
I love the heavy duty test leads.
I just finished cleaning up a ‘garden’ of wires brought up into a single attic junction box to get a couple of 3 and 4 way switch loops working again.
Was this an essential tool, that made it easy?
Not really. Several techniques came to the rescue.
Every lap into the attic had this tool in my bucket though.
And with it’s robust construction, I expect to be using it far into the future.
This is my 3rd tester in 30 years and it is a solid upgrade
Have had this for a while now, and it hasn’t failed me yet. Easy to use, and compact, so it doesn’t take up much room in your tool bag. Can’t go wrong with this one.
***One thing to keep in mid is that this one cannot do an amp draw on wires rated beyond 1/0
It does the job sometimes my life depends on it I trust it you should also
I like everything about this meter, it performs as advertised, it is nice and compact, and I can clearly hear the continuity tester. I rely on a good meter for every job and this one definitely fits the bill.
bought it for my son who is just starting out to be an electrician 1 year into it. He’s very happy with the unit.
Fluke is a trusted brand from experience. Too bad I could not find a Tektronix option, but still great product.
More than 90% of us use this exact multimeter. It is fast, it is easy, it tells us how much voltage is on a line, or if a fuse is blown, or if a circuit is actually powered down so we can pull things out.
There are Multimeters with more features, and there are many that seem like they have more features that also cost less. Fluke is an industry standard. I trust the measurements I get from this meter and I spent years using a different one that gave me inconsistent readings. This is ready for industrial use, full time. It does all the most common tasks I want from a multimeter fast and easy.
I get very little use out of that current claw thing at the top. If that’s important to you then you already know that, but most wires I work with are all combined in the same sleeve and you need an individual conductor for that feature to tell you anything. If you put both the hot wire and neutral into that little claw thing it will not work.
The perfect simplistic multi meter perfect for commercial HVAC for 90 percent of what is done. Perfect for a PM bag/ general trouble shooting tool.
The only improvements I would make is slightly extending the leads, and allowing a back light. The T6 offers that but it is slightly but noticeably bulkier. And I have had bad luck with mine and returned. Yes I did everything exactly how the manual calls for even was standing barefoot in my basement trying to get the field sense to work.
Also a noise feature like the Tpro has would he fantastic or even a vibration feature.
Regardless this is my number choice 1 every day for everything not requiring specialty test applications from a meter.
Much better than the ones with that non-contact voltage sensing gimmick. The only things I’d change, is I’d add capacitance, I’d like it to be true rms, and LoZ would be awesome. But for the money? Hard to beat. I used to use a T+pro, which also has some advantages, but no amp fork. Auto off takes a little longer to kick it off than I’d like, but that’s no big deal. Lead management is great like the T+pro – thats one reason I got this one. Even better since I stick them in the fork so they don’t flop around.
My favourite tester from those available. Easy to use with time out ‘off’
Does what it needs to do. Very intuitive and packs up nicely so it fits in your pocket or bag without cables getting caught on everything. It’s not the best tool for complex diagnostics but it does 99% of what I need and does it easily and accurately. Great tool.
Simple but reliable, quick reaction time compared to some of my older voltmeters. Only drawback is the lead wires are attached but they are thick insulation so should hold up well.
Pros:
Thin/compact
Simple/easy to use
Rugged/dust and water resistant
Probes store in back of meter
One probe can be held by the meter while testing
Auto power off
Continuity buzzer
Automatic AC/DC voltage detection
Cons:
No backlight/would be perfect in my opinion if it did
Additional Fluke accessories if needed are expensive
Test leads are specific to this type of meter
For me the pros far outweigh the cons. I will always have a simple meter such as this in my bag. Would recommend.
I have used a lot of fluke meters and this is hands down the most versatile meter for an electrician. No more messing around with a magnet or finding something to clamp the jaws. Excellent for zero-energy checks or measuring voltage with thick insulated gloves. I use it everyday at the worksite and it’s designed for rough working environment.
nice, feels robust, including the dial and the leads feel thick. lives up to its name
Continuity test gives a nice sound (like my failing VC97 )
2 sets of test probes included, the wire stays attached to Fluke, and you just change the ends
no case included (some sets do include this), and a non fluke one is about 12
no capacitor test and measurement of small amps not possible. Screen is not backlit. Measuring using the jaws seems to be a bit hit and miss for me but I don’t really need that function.
Price seems to fluctuate on this item, so check price is reasonable before buying.
It does seems to be the European version, but I would guess there isn’t much difference to the chinese one.
excellent purchase. Would recommend. Its a great tool but would have been useful if it came with a pouch for it. Pouch sold separately and is very expensive!
It is extremely simple to use, high quality material and finishing, robust for a daily use and surpassed my expectations. I recommend it.
It’s easy to use, great value for money. Highly recommended for plumbers and electricians, or the home DIYer in the family.

The hot probe slides in the holder so you can hold the meter with one hand and the neutral with the other. A lot of other meters force you to dangle the meter while you use your hands with the probes.
Another thing I like is the shape of this thing…it’s slim and nible.
The Amp Probe comes in very handy and is always there so if you need to quickly amp out a circuit, it will do the job. A fair warning, the opening on the amp probe is kind of small and doesn’t lock in so it works best with branch circuits and won’t fit in the thick service cables. That’s what she said. For those, you need a more dedicated amp probe, but those tend to be bulky for every day use.
Pro tip- if you use a lot of tracers or tone generators, you often run into a situation where it’s hard to tell which wire is making the tracer beep when there are wires close to each other. to be 100% sure, you can put this meter in the ohm reader and touch the wire (make sure it’s not hot) and you will hear the tone generator in the meter! Pretaay pretaay cool.
