i just loved this game. its all the UK layout and driving. i read where someone struggled with how to drive on the uk roads and the used this game to help them. i just love it and am addicted to it. i added the ultimate addon from the microsoft xbox store to unlock more. well worth it all. 2 words…. GET IT. you will not regret buying. takes time to get through the tutorials but then your free to drive all over the place.
Lovely game, beautiful graphics. I love how realistic it is going through fences, grass, snow etc. I wish there was an offline multiplayer option though, but other than that I love it.
This is CLEARLY my favourite car game EVER of all time yet so far and the BEST car game out there yet.
If i was to DIE and go to car heaven well then for me personally this is it.
Looks great on a large screen and plenty to keep you occupied for a good few hours. To get the best out of the game you need a gold account to enable on line game play
I had this ages ago and loved it. There’s something nice about hammering around a track at full throttle in a hardcore racecar, but then there’s something nice about a twisty backroad with the radio on and that’s what you get here! It isn’t for serious sim racers, they should probably stick to the main Forza games, but this is a lot of fun to play. the missions are quite varied and all the vehicles as well as being beautifully rendered, all have their own individual driving characteristics. There are not only races, but really exciting barn find cars to find and special challenges like the speed cameras and the ‘see how far you can jump’ things. The roster of cars is quite expansive too! My only criticism of this game is one that applies to many racing games and that is that the handling when using a controller is twitchy and difficult. I suspect this might play a lot better with a decent wheel setup. With a controller it’s fun enough but it’s also often quite frustrating.
To sum up, really fun game. Twitchy controls with a controller. Probably not for hardcore Sim Racers.
I am not a forza girl at all but it was purchased for my son and hes loving it everything you would expect from the forza brand in an open word environment 5*
This game is massive, so much to do and see. I have been playing for 3 days solid and haven’t scratched the sirface yet. If you like arcade style racing games, this is highly recommended.
Very good game, love it. Having so much fun doing all the races and interacting with other races online. The controls are sensitive, takes awhile to get use to but worth the practice.
If you like Driving round UK roads in new and classic cars while listening to some lush Drum n Bass this game is for you, amazing gameplay, stunning graphics, got me back into gaming at 47 yrs old
Another great installment to the Horizon series. Plenty of cars to chose from as you work your way throught the game. I’ve spent many hours on the game and there is still plenty of content to go. The map is very large and a joy to explore especially with the seasons feature, which can make the game a tad more challenging. Overall well worth the money and a definite game to add to your collection.
When this game was announced at E3 in 2018, I was absolutely buzzing for this game to launch, and when it did, I could see why I was excited.
In the previous game, the player was in charge of the Horizon Festival, and they were able to create their own custom events, hire/fire people from their festival lineups, sign radio stations and even listen to their own songs via Groove Music.
In this game, the player now lives at the Horizon Festival. It seems a lot more story based as well, as the player can buy houses and businesses, customize their character and take part in Horizon Stories, which is a new feature.
This game is seriously incredible, and in my opinion, it’s the best game in the franchise to date. Microsoft are constantly bringing out new content for this game such as new cars and DLC as well.
What’s there to dislike? Over 500 if you include DLC, a beautifully created map with 4 seasons, tons and tons of different style races, such as road races, dirt races, cross country, drag races and more, not to mention how many different horizon stories there are to complete, including a Top Gear one, all filled with mini missions and challenges. I’m always online with friends comparing cars and racing them to specific locations. There’s also many many different PR challenges to be competed such as drift zones, stunt jumps, speed zones and traps, etc. Buy houses, customise many many cars, race friends and find beauty spots. Best. Racing. Game. Ever.
Banging game, set in the uk in the Lake District. Loads of cars and plenty of different types of racing. Very enjoyable game that doesn’t take itself to seriously.
A great sequel! I really liked the previous ones and I am loving this! On XBOX One X you really enjoy the visuals.
What I really liked was the handling, it is not as arcade as the previous ones, it is closer to the Forza Motorsport standards.
What is really great is the setting. Add the DLCs and it will keep you company until the next one comes ou
Absolutely brilliant game. The setting is incredible and when played on a 4K screen it looks even better. The gameplay is the best it has ever been for the Horizon series and they added in a few new elements which was nice to see. Whether you’re just picking up your first forza game or have been a fan for a number of years, it is safe to say that this is the best of them.
This was on my Grandson’s wish list for Christmas. He thinks it’s the best one yet. Set in Scotland and also the Lake District. The graphics are stunning!
I absolutely love this game, I think turn 10 has done a brilliant job with this. I prefer the open world format of Forza horizon, compared to the racing only mode of Forza Motorsport. The fact that the game takes place in Britain adds icing to the cake. There is a lot to do within the game and the game has some outstanding vehicles both old and new. The ability to create custom races is a much-needed addition to the series. I’ve added several videos to my youtube channel which you can find by searching for “asitreallyis “
A dip in quality could see more glitches in this one than previous titles also the adding of emotes in a driving game = fail.
Overall though the gameplay is good and fun, the weather dynamic is a fresh addition to keep it from going stale.
My 11yr old grandson stated how frustrating it was that you can’t connect on line straight away…but that you have to achieve a certain level before you can.
Great game. Great graphics. Great for all ages. My 10myear old loves this game and spends far too many hours on it, pity is effectively a one person game (unless playing others online) so can’t race him like in the I the forza racing game. He is well pleased with it.
This is actually the first Forza Horizon game I have played, although I had some of the older regular Forza games in the past.
Pretty much everything about this game has been so well thought out. The sandbox nature of the game means you always have plenty to do even if you’re not really doing anything; you can drive around aimlessly for what feels like hours, just exploring, taking in the world, doing daft stunts and racking up points, or much more. Every now and again you will meet other real players in the game world and they can communicate with you and you can form convoys, go to events together, etc.
Xbox Live also allows you to party up and a lot of the race events allow you to run them as PvP, or you can enter solo and be pitted against other Xbox Live users. You can also produce custom variants of the in-game events and publish them for others to play. And that’s another part of this game – extensive customisation and sharing of just about everything. There is an in-game library where you can download car designs shared by other players, there is the auction house to buy cars off other players, and so on.
The game captures the mood perfectly. The whole look and feel, tone of voice and language used by the voice actors, the soundtrack and radio commentary, the Horizon festival site – it’s such a great fit and you feel like you’re really there. The added immersion by the in-game commentary addressing you by your real name (as lifted from your Xbox Live account) is also a really interesting nice touch I’ve never seen before and made me feel like I was receiving a truly friendly welcome from the festival organisers.
One thing I will say though, this isn’t intended to be a traditional Forza game. As such the gameplay is more arcade-like and to be honest a lot of the cars handle very similarly, particularly the cheaper ones available earlier in the game. I also found that the various tweaks and mods for the cars (e.g. the suspension and so on) don’t make a huge deal of difference. With that in mind if you’re wanting a traditional track-based simulation racing game with all the bells and whistles, you are definitely better off with the regular Forza Motorsport 7 – however, I actually have both and they are both brilliant, so you never feel like you’re missing out.
I am a big fan of racing games and the Forza game. Forza Horizon 4 is by far the best game in the series with the season element changing you car selection and how you should approach a race. stunning graphics (Im using a xbox one x) and a killer soundtrack, can not recommend enough.
Brilliant fun, always enjoy Forzas open world games between the main Motorsport releases. excellent graphics, locales and some great cars, give this the game the winning mixture to show Microsoft still own the greatest racing game.
Bought this as a present for my 8 year old nephew who is a huge FIFA fan and so it went un-played until his uncle (me) came home for Christmas. Got this on a great amazon deal and thought it looked really impressive. After watching You Tube to explain how to play this game we set off on a marathon 8 hrs of playing. The cars look amazing ,the game play is awesome and easy to pick up ,the sound track we had (there are many) was pumping and the selection of cars just epic. We spent days following racing and learning more about the game ,even got his dad involved. Since leaving i have found my life has a Forza 4 hole in it that needs to be filled ,this game is that good !
This is a must buy for Forza fans and if you love arcade driving games. The difficulty settings are variable and if you are finding some of the races difficult (I know I did above average difficulty!) then there are several lower difficulties and aids which will help you successfully win the Forza Horizon championship! There is a ton of content and you can easily find yourself spending 30+ hours getting through the races on circuit, streets, off road and drift. This is worth the purchase – at least it was for me at 26.99 on a Black Friday deal!
This is the best racing game ever made IMO. Stunning close to real life graphics, physics and the lighting is so well done. Textures and everything is done so well. Great car selection also along with tunning and custom upgrades.
I own this game on Xbox One S which even on this system it looks amazing. I’d love to see what it looks like on a PC or 4k Xbox One
Forza is probably the best racing game franchise out there and this stands on its feet. Definitely recommend if you have enjoyed any other Forza Horizon game or even the Crew.
This is the first Horizon game I’ve played (previously played the Motorsports) so I’m familiar with how everything works etc.
For the most part the game is excellent; handling of the cars feels fairly realistic, the graphics are fantastic and overall it’s an enjoyable game with the right mix between skill and fun needed to enjoy without being drawn into the finer technical details of car setup
Sadly it’s let down by a few graphical twitches (slow down and in the presentation screens the cars often don’t fully sit on the ground! and everyone now and again it throws me back to the Xbox home screen 🙁
Even the sat nav is true to life and has the occasional hissy fit!!
Hopefully future updates can remedy the above…….
Expecting a little more from the game, very similar to the other Horizon titles, game play gets a little repetitive after a while. Seasonal weather changes a small improvement. Wait for a price drop if you own other Horizon games.
I have this and the little man wanted it to race said it wouldnt be here till 27th dec but arrived on christmas eve got it at good price and delivered earlier than was expected so really happy with that 10/10 thank you
Visually amazing, and quite forgiving in competitions, so pure fun. The North England and Scotland landscapes look pretty cool in the changing seasons. Bit slow loading times though but it’s a free go anywhere map so I forgive that.
Great game. I struggle to get into games normally, but Horizon entertaining from the get go. Good balance between racing/entertainment. Only negative is that they’ve gone overboard on off-road racing…. feels like 80-90% of races I’ve done are off-road (perhaps because currently in winter season though?)
Absolutely love this game. So much to do on it and if you don’t want to enter any of the races/challenges you can just drive around exploring and Improving your driving skills. One of the best games I’ve played on.
Lost interest in racing games, had this title recommended to me and I couldn’t be more pleased. The setting is stunning, as a Brit I feel right at home. The array of cars is insane and I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface.
Find this so relaxing to play also, exploring the the map during any season is a wonderful experience. Highly recommended if you have an Xbox One X
I’ve been playing the Forza games for years and both Horizon and Motorpsort. I liked the look of Horizon 4 from the E3 trailer and so much so that I decided I wanted it at that point although the setting of Britain also hooked me.
There’s plenty to do as per usual in Forza titles with various races including dirt, street, drag and others. These do get quite samey despite the glut of cars in the game as quite a few are recycled from older games. The standouts are the showcase events and there are also story related races featuring from other prominent video games down the years which is cool.
One of the main additions are the new seasons which are actually more than a gimmick and do make a difference purely beyond the visuals. Certain events or barn finds are only available during certain seasons and the differences graphically really do look sublime. Going back and playing Horizon 3 there has definitely been a jump in terms of graphical fidelity.
Online there is Team Adventure or competitive singles races but I still feel as though this could be a whole lot more streamlined. The menus are still a bit overbearing and can be very slow such as when you’re in your garage and looking at your car collection.
Unfortunately the cosmetic element is stuffed into the game and you will unlock this trash during wheel spins. I would much rather have a car than a stupid taunt but that’s what’s been packed in to the title. It’s to appease the microtransaction element but I wish you had the option to bypass it entirely and even if you don’t choose to spend any additional money on the cosmetics it will still impact you through unwanted items.
—Summary— (Scored out of 10)
Graphics 10 – Outstanding lighting and visual effects. It’s easily one of the best looking games this generation.
Sound 6 – Great car sounds but the music within the game is really not very good and quickly grating. This is dependent on your own tastes but it would be good to have the opportunity for custom soundtracks. At least you can turn it off.
Gameplay 8 – Forza’s biggest strength is its simplicity and particularly in the Horizon games.
Lifespan 7 – Lots to do but it can get rather repetitive.
Forza Horizon 4 is the best one they’ve done in my own view but I would put a lot of that down to the new setting. On the other hand, it is a game that is increasingly stale and void of creativity. I would like to see an upgrade in the online part of the game and perhaps more story elements or something to change things up a bit. Despite all this though I can thoroughly recommend it and especially if you’re new to the series.
This is the second Forza game that I have bought, but first horizon. The open world map is massive, easy to navigate around and explore but you can fast travel if needed. The range of cars is brilliant with many to choose from and customize however you want. The graphics are incredible and the eye for detail in the open world and cars is incredible and the cars look just how they would in real life. The story mode is easy to follow and you can jump in and out of the story mode with ease. Completing the races solo, co-op or online against other people if you want. The game is good to play online and you can interact with other players with ease and do co-op online races working towards the same goal or racing against other people. This game caters for everyone whether you are new to racing games or an experienced gamer and is a must have.
This is the perfect game for all those who love cars and speed. The graphics on this game are stunning going from breath-taking scenery such as castles, lakes, trees to some really awesome roads to drive on. You can experience what it’s like to drive on wet and muddy roads or slip and slide down an icy valley. I have watched my nephew play this game for hours and I have to admit it is well worth the money spent. He did offer to show me how to play it but I think I will stick to Sonic The hedgehog that is fast enough for me
After buying this game for my nephew, and hearing his review of it. I bought it for myself. And I love it, I cannot get enough of it. Some of the cars need to be tweaked to make them more controllable, or you just spin around in circles because of the raw power. Some people complain about the game freezing, and yes it does slow down at the most inconvenient times. Like when you’re approaching a bad bend, and comes back to proper speed just as you crashing into scenery or other vehicles. I’m not sure if that the server problem, or a glitch in the software. But all in all, it’s still a brilliant game.
I like the game, graphics and everything, but there is this one thing that can ruin everything – when you finish a race – instead showing the car and the road and the other cars on mms ahead/behind you – it shows an … animation of a car scrolling from the one edge of the screen to the other. What?
Where is my finish line experience – I just raced with 200 km/h and instead continue that feeling of a race – what do I receive – complete stop of everything in a second and show a car animation. Very very disappointing.
I like how they filter the events – in horizon 3 there was a ton of events and races that you might not want to do, was hard to look at the map – here it expands more events only of the type that you actually do.
Wow just wow. This game is insanely good on the XBox One X. The visuals are that good on my 4K tv that i forger at times I am playing a game. This is the game to show the One X for sure. The game is really fun and has a massive open map to explore and to do various events. The soundtrack is also awesome. Can’t wait to put it on again today!
Very good game with beautiful graphics and tough races. The only downside is the lag and glitches that crop up. For me, this severely can break the immersion. Other than that, this is the best Horizon game yet.
As the title suggests, this game is an improvement to last years, it is, in terms of graphics and the overall presentation of the game, the physics haven’t changed much at all and the set up options are the same as they have been for a while now but why improve on something that works?
The new additions such as the clothing and the houses have made this feel like a brand new edition of the Test Drive Unlimited series which were brilliant. There are some truly epic roads to drive down and the live seasons are a really good addition as well, the re worked #Forzathon is also more welcomed, instead of three challenges with the same rewards, a car, some cp and xp, you now get points which you can spend on whatever items are in the store, the pattern I believe will be a car, a horizon bonus car (eg, speed, drifting etc) and then a choice of a wheel spin or a super wheel spin, the latter is an epic addition and leads to some very good prizes being won. I bought the standard edition but ended up buying the ultimate upgrade, this is well worth it for what you get, especially the inclusion of both of the future dlc’s, and the James Bond Pack is a really nice edition. Overall a great game that I will continue to spend many happy hours on, would very much recommend.
From the first 10 mins of the game it feels great to play however it keeps crashing at the same point so I can’t get past the Intro of the game just hope it works when I reinstall it agai
I don’t know how Playground Games managed to breathe more life into their classic franchise but they did. Fantastic game; definitely a contender for my game of the year.
I have owned all previous Horizons but FH4 is the greatest of them all.
The new seasons dynamics feels like 4 individual new maps and make your choice of vehicle and setup important for each race or trial. The graphics on Xbox One X in 4K will have you stopping and admiring the scenery and wanting to visit every location. The map is huge. Easily the best driving game available today and perhaps the best ever released. I race sims at the weekend but this is perfect for midweek blasts and to put a smile on your face vs. the concentration and stress that comes with sim racing.
Another great Forza Horizon game, if you’ve played the others you’l know what it’s all about but for me this is a definite improvement , especially the off-road races with jumps etc. that are just so much fun . Hundreds of different cars to drive and the scenery of a compacted UK is fantastic . I’m not sure why some people don’t rate this game , maybe they don’t like driving games and should have stuck with Fortnite . The only thing I don’t really like is your avatar and the ’emotes’ but I guess that’s just an age thing and younger players like that kind of thing . If you like driving games and you’ve got an Xbox then don’t hesitate to get it .
i just loved this game. its all the UK layout and driving. i read where someone struggled with how to drive on the uk roads and the used this game to help them. i just love it and am addicted to it. i added the ultimate addon from the microsoft xbox store to unlock more. well worth it all. 2 words…. My son preferred this game to forza 5 because its on uk roads.
Fully immersive game, got a lot of hours of fun out of this one!
Lovely game, beautiful graphics. I love how realistic it is going through fences, grass, snow etc. I wish there was an offline multiplayer option though, but other than that I love it.
I have played a few on the Forza series and this one does not disappoint. It is one of the most beautiful games available.
And you get to drive on the correct side of the road, as it is based in the UK. Something not normal in driving games.
This is CLEARLY my favourite car game EVER of all time yet so far and the BEST car game out there yet.
If i was to DIE and go to car heaven well then for me personally this is it.
Our 14year old Grandson loves this game, it’s different to all the other driving games he’s got. Graphics are excellent and realistic

Very pretty game and cool vroom vroom cars but not good for pokemon go
This game is fantastic! Very entertaining, can play for hours without getting bored.
Its fin and can be challenging at times, I’d definitely recommend it.
Really fun racing game with a huge roster of cars. Music sucks though.

It’s a driving game. It keeps the boy quiet. Very quiet.
Other than when he’s shouting at his friends. Or awake.
Anyway, he likes it and it does look good, so that’s it from me.

Bought as a Christmas present and it didn’t disappoint… brilliant car game

One word….. Stunning!
You won’t go far wrong buying this fabulous racing game, beautiful graphics and gameplay to match. Tons to do and collect.
An improvement on Horizon 3, with some interesting new challenges and races.
In time for Christmas and son loves the games cheers
Brand new, no issues. Perfect game boyfriend is addicted lol.
Get it asap!
Forza is probably the best racing game franchise out there and this stands on its feet. Definitely recommend if you have enjoyed any other Forza Horizon game or even the Crew.
Already a fan of Forza this Is just more of the same with plenty of challenges to keep you occupied… starting to favour this over NFS
Brilliant- grandson is very happy happy – arrived quick too
Good game missing some iconic cars though such as supra.
What a fantastic game and at a great price before Xmas… Hours of entertainment.
My son says this is the best Forza so far.
Very nice to play, great game arrived fast and packed well
I had the original Horizon game – Loving the variety of Horizon 4 – Worth every penny!
My grandson chose it I know he will love i
No played as it’s a gift for my little boy
Awesome game. My son loves it, and so do I. Works well with his steering wheel and pedals. Takes a while.to install.
Very fast service, product in perfect order – very good variation on driving/race games
Brilliant game like all the other Forza horizon series! Definitely the best racing game out at the moment.
Great game. I struggle to get into games normally, but Horizon entertaining from the get go. Good balance between racing/entertainment. Only negative is that they’ve gone overboard on off-road racing…. feels like 80-90% of races I’ve done are off-road (perhaps because currently in winter season though?)
This is a very realistic driving game set in the UK although cars don’t handle as well with a wheel as Dirt 4…..
A bit tedious as it loads up, but once you’re into the game quite addictive.
This game caters for everyone whether you are new to racing games or an experienced gamer and is a must have.
best racing game out right now such a beautiful looking game with great attention to detail. must buy for anyone who likes good games.
I aabsolutly love this game
The weather doesn’t change every second it actually changes each day or even each week
So cool and the ammount if cars you can choose from is grea
This has very good graphics, good for kids and it’s a very good game.
Congrats Playground Games for a truly epic game.
Love this game! Great scenery in particular Edinburgh looks amazing – spent ages just driving around this famous old city.
Forza horizon 4 has amazing graphics And cars with a massive selection of races and things to do. It’s grea
