Behaves as expected from the reviews i saw: (used for a few weeks now)
– no background noise at high volume
– sufficient punch to fill any house room (even though I’m only getting 1/2 the watts as speakers are 8ohm)
– bluetooth works well within adequate range (4m… but not 8m). I’m not a audio-buff but sound quality fine.
– treble / base not really used as default seems appropriate
– nice/neat, no sparks, temperature fine
The amplifier is small in size but has decent output. (100w). Bluetooth connectivity has a good range.
I bought this direct from Fosi, shipped from China, but still wanted to post a review here. Wanted a decent cheap hifi set up after years of having CDs just sat on a shelf gathering dust, but didn’t want a large footprint. Must admit I was dubious about this unknown brand, but I’m definitely a convert. I’ve hooked up a bluray player via a cheap DAC to the BT20A feeding a pair of Dali Spektor 1s & am really impressed by this little amp.
Can’t believe how tiny it is and how big it sounds! Very impressed so far. It switches easily between the inputs, runs cool, looks great and has a nice lively sound. I’ve dialled back the bass a touch and nudged the treble up slightly and it sounds pretty excellent to my ageing ears. Ridiculous value for money
I have a high-end Pioneer Home Theatre system and a Mission Cyrus amp as well as NAD and TEAC. I got this wee amp for my girlfriend and wasn’t expecting much and i was wrong, it’s remarkably good despite it’s size, it’s really that simple, if you need a small amp just buy it. She uses it for her TV and controls the volume with the TV remote
I don’t have a huge amount of experiences with quality audio but with this amp, my speakers from a old radio system sounds really quite nice! With the bass and treble control (which has quite a noticable range) I can tweek it for different music and movie. The audio through bluetooth sounds quite good as well, not had problem connection to it either.
Enjoying the set up, I think this have been money well spent. 3 years of warrenty on a electtonic product gives me quite a lot of confidence to it as well, hope they stand by the 18+18 months warrenty.
Very easy to set up and connect to Bluetooth. Bought 2 and would buy agai
Wanted a small amp for a second room to drive a pair of wharfdale bookshelf speakers. This amp is more than powerful enough and has good clarity. Well worth the price.
What I need it for is basic but so far Brilliant,
Have it set up to 2 sets of speakers through a selector. Work brilliant with no loss of volume on any speaker whatever the set up.
Bluetooth works better than expected also. No matter where I go in my 5 bedroom house with my phone the signal stays strong.
The power supply is bigger than the amp, that’s how tiny it is. The holes on the speaker terminals are a bit small if you’re fitting say 4.5mm2 cable… but are an option if you want to save on banana plugs.
Turning on, and you’re good to go.
You can either use the line in, or bluetooth, there’s no mode setting, it’ll just use Bluetooth if it’s connected over the Line in. The bluetooth connection is easy, doesn’t require a pin and won’t auto connect if you just happen to walk past, which is good.
Sounds is loud, and has a controls for bass and treble, so you can adjust. I can’t say it’s good or bad as it’s driving some patio speakers, so a compromised acoustic environment.
Brilliant small amplifier, used it to extend my the stereo from my TV. Packaging was first class. The Bluetooth option to receive from my phone or tablet is truly great.
Excellent little product very neat. Had it about three months driving some new Wharfedale Stand mount 11.1 diamond speakers. The sound quality is excellent connectivity is brilliant thoroughly recommend
Very neat unit, Bluetooth works well, sound is really good, great to be able to use my good Tannoy speakers with Bluetooth devices!
This little amp is fantastic. Good loud sound, reliable Bluetooth and value for money.
It does exactly what is says it will do. Only criticisms are no remote and when connected to a tv it is necessary to use the amp volume control.
i have not bought it for something you dont need like blutooth
its what you would avoid anyway, it is not as good as connected
audio, but it is a good enough sounding audio
Easy to set up sounds good nice and compact uni
Easy to set up and audio quality is surprisingly good for such a small unit. Takes up little room and even the wife liked i
Bought this on a whim to replace an Onkyo AV receiver that blew up. My old demon was driving two speakers in my office so is now the main 5.1 amp again. Bought to replace the office music.
The sounds coming out of my 2x 80 watt speakers is beautiful. I keep trying different songs to enjoy it and I finished work hours ago.
I’ll be ordering a second shortly for the tv in the kitchen and the spare speakers I’ve got.
Not tested Bluetooth; I’m connecting 3.5mm to RCA from a Lenovo dock and playing music out of Spotify.
Very happy so fa
I purchased these a few days ago, along with a pair of Mordaunt Short M10 speakers and a pair of Kanto S2 Speaker Stands, all in a really good combination.
Blown away by the quality of this little BT20A amp, its compact, has bass and treble control and BT to boot. Has the oomph when need as well.
Really, really surprised at how well this thing stands up to my old Technics amp and kef speakers, I`ve only had this amp for a few days and so far very, very impressed, just noticed the price has dropped by a tenner, superb value, get one.
I use this as an amplifier to allow Bluetooth connection to some nice bookshelf Tannoy speakers. it has turned the laptop in my study into a music player. Bluetooth connection is good. note initially the Bluetooth connection was poor but the supplier replaced under warranty and the replacement was excellent. would recommend.
Love this thing. Using it for both my vinyls and via bluetooth. Can easily switch between both. Good sturdy construction. Only issue is more an issue with bluetooth than the product. Switching between bluetooth devices is a pain. Highly recommended for the price.
Except for those aspects of long term quality that only time will reveal I can make a long story short and just say go ahead and purchase this device.
I love the sound generated by this device. I am very happy with this purchase.
I needed to find a replacement / alternative for a RIP old school (18 years / Panasonic) receiver that was serving double duty for music and home theatre. The Panasonic was driving 2 quality front speakers and a decent center speaker in a 12 X 20 room. Overall the sound quality was very good with the exception of dialog for some movies and TV shows. While exploring alternatives for a replacement receiver and possible upgrade for the center speaker I became aware of a mini Bluetooth Amplifier as a possible alternative for music. I did look at full sized A/V receivers, but eventually decided on a sound bar for home theatre and this amplifier for my orphan speakers.
The almost 2 decade longevity of the previous device left me unfamiliar with current offerings, but I envisioned and expected something compact and powerful with Bluetooth and connectivity for a wired device like my IPOD.
On my second try I came across the FOSI BT20A-S mini Bluetooth Amplifier.
I love the sound generated by this device. I am very happy with this purchase.
When I connected this amp I was very pleased. The sound was exceptional and especially impressive to me as previous experience had only been with devices that were so much larger. There are pro and con debates over the merits of different classes of amps as well as the quality of digital music; I can only say that with a quality set of speakers the music originating from my phone and passing through this amplifier via Bluetooth was excellent. Same for IPOD via wired Line-In. With no active source there is no sound from the speakers at all. When turned up louder than I will ever listen to it (12 X 20 room) there was no distortion and no cut out. I listened to a range of different music genres as well as spoken word podcasts. I love this amplifier and was very pleasantly surprised that this tiny device at this relatively low price could deliver such a satisfying experience.
I found a video review of this device where the reviewer opened the case to appraise the components inside (he pointed out Texas Instruments and Qualcomm) and to highlight that the amplifier chips were under a heat sink that was very much larger than the chip itself. This is key as the 1st amplifier I tried (one of the ‘also very small white oval front red aluminum body’ ones) had a heat sink only just covering the chip and the device became so hot I could not touch it and it was returned despite also generating excellent sound. In the video review of this Fosi amp the reviewer was concerned about heat from such a small and powerful device and measured the temperature (inside and out / before operation and after an hour) with moderate change in temperature and well within the published specifications of the chip.
Again completely satisfied with the sound I would only say this second one is not quite as loud at max volume as the one I returned (but plenty loud.) I am at an age where clarity is more important than volume and in that context IMO the volume at about 60% is more than enough for my room and would easily suffice for an open room double the size. Most importantly to me after having to return the first device was that after playing for 2 hours at a volume higher than I need the case was just the slightest bit warmer than when I first turned it on.
I bought this to use with some flat panel speakers I made. It is easy to use and to me the sound quality is great. The blue tooth connectivity was easy to set up and the quality is,again, very good. As for Sheerness, as far as I know, it’s on the Isle of Sheppey.
Really happy with this tiny amp. The Bluetooth range is very good, even with it kept in a cabinet behind an MDF door. The sound quality has been very good, excellent for such a tiny device. I’m using it to drive passive b&o bookshelf speakers and the two sound great together. The bass/treble controls it has are good, and my Spotify equaliser is a handy companion to adjust things further. The power lead that came with this unit was Uk 24v 4.5a and seems to work great. Very happy.
I guess this 100 watt amp’s power is measured by PMPO (Peak Music Power Output). It’s about half the volume of my 50 watt RMS per channel HIFI amp (into 8 Ohm speakers), so that makes it about 25 watts RMS per channel in reality. When audio manufactures don’t give the power output in RMS (Root Mean Square), it’s more likely to be somewhat lacking in loudness as humans really perceive it.
That said, this amp is still good value for money, compact in size and well-built. The user manual is well-written in clear English with useful illustrations that even a novice can understand.
Looking at the images of the connections I thought this amp would only take banana plugs, but the speaker connections accept bare wire, banana plugs, spade lugs or pin terminators. I bought banana plugs when I didn’t need to, but it’s a neater solution.
Recommended for small/medium sized rooms.
Fantastic little amplifier that I use in my home office. I have it attached to the bottom of the desk which is really handy. It drives a pair of ancient Mission 760SE bookshelf speakers, playing mostly classical music. Sounds amazing.
Great sound quality and runs my Mission floor standers fine
I ordered this to replace my old rack unit hifi amp as prices of ‘true’ hifi amps have become silly. I use it to power a pair of midrange stand speakers and I am impressed with the quality and volume of the sound delivered by both the RCA phone input and, to my surprise, the Bluetooth connection too. An intermittent issue with Bluetooth was solved in a rapid and friendly way by efficient customer support direct from the factory. Overall I am delighted with this amplifier.
Have this little amp paired with quite some q acoustics bookshelf speakers. Fills the living room very well. Huge improvement over TV speakers
Used to drive a pair of Kef bookshelf I dug up from the back of a cupboard ( now in the bedroom). Does a really good job, for the price you cant go wrong.
Compact little device that delivers a clean, crisp sound. Bluetooth switches between devices beautifully and unit work very well with my Sony Speakers. Great produc
very surprised by this, thought I’d give it ago as didn’t have the space for a traditional amp and im impressed
Connected with Mission 707 speakers. Clear with good sound separation. Using with google home mini connects easily.
This is a great little amp, amazing what it does for the size and price. I got it to replace an old Sherwood hifi amp that died and it has plenty of power and the sound quality through the aux ports is very good indeed.
The only issue I’ve had is that it doesnt like being switched on directly at the wall. If you leave the on/off toggle ‘on’ and turn the wall plug on or off you get an ugly pop through the speakers. This doesn’t happen when leaving the plug on and powering it on or off using the toggle on the unit. This is an issue as I intended to use it with a smart plug to turn it off overnight. Now I’ll just leave it powered on the whole time, which the manual says is fine.
Overall it’s a great little thing and I hope it lasts a long time sat in my cupboard powering a ceiling speaker. No-one will know it’s there and the small size is a real bonus.
I’m playing through ceiling speakers in a kitchen so absolute sound quality is not so important and I am sure this does not compare to the Technics unit it replaced, but it is absolutely tiny with what seems to be a very solid Bluetooth connection and good for the job in my case. It is hidden away in a cupboard and takes up no room at all. Physical quality of the unit seems high, with a very solid case and decent switch gear.
Bought this to improve TV sound . Very small footprint and does not get hot at all. 24v power supply tucks out of the way, ad also runs fairly cool.
Bluetooth connection, which I was forced to use because of my TV, is quick, easy and reliable.
Power output is seriously good into a high quality passive speaker that is quite challenging to drive, and more than adequate to fill a large room
Sound quality is very good and the bass and treble controls have a good range of operation.
The three rotary controls have a good ‘feel’ to them and the entire unit is nicely finished.
Altogether – A Terrific Little Amplifier’, and highly recommended.
David
For the price of this product the audio output is excellent for most applications. However I should say that the stated output level is (100w) a ‘peak to peak’ rating so it is slightly exaggerated in the real world, a trick many HIFI companies use. I calculate the true RMS value to be 35W x2 which for the case size is quite respectable. The tone controls are quite basic, but enable you to get your preferred sound. The Bluetooth system has never dropped out.
All things considered this is an excellent value produc
Fosi Audio BT20A delivered yesterday – a few days late but that was due to post delivery. Connected it to a pair of good quality speaker systems that was in situ for a while but not used. Connected the system as instructed and switched it on without input – increased the volume and no indication of hum – great. Connected input from turntable and tried it again FANTASTIC sound from the big speakers unlike the tinny sound from the record player speakers. Connected music on my phone via Bluetooth to the Fosi Audio BT20A – WOW what a sound, brilliant from such a compact amp. I am really happy with my purchase so far.
Does exactly what it is intended to do. Collects bluetooth signal from phone / tablet etc and powers music through your speakers. Plenty loud enough for playing metal in my garage gym (pretty loud!).
Small, sturdy, metal case.
Connects easily every time.
Suggest you get some banana plugs for best connection.
Very good quality and excellent VFM.
I will look to Fossi Audi next time I have an audio requirement.
Bought this for a friend who had a turntable and speakers but no sound system. As it is small there is “cable congestion” at the back so worth buying banana plugs for the speakers to make connection easier.Bluetooth communication seems excellent, so if you want a small and simple amp. I can reommend this one.
Plucked it in and it worked straight away. Sound quality is decent considering the price. Connecting the phone via bluetooth no problem. It did struggle to connect with my laptop which has Ubuntu installed which has caused issues with other bluetooth devices in the past. So that is a problem which is more on the Ubuntu side I reckon. A tiny thing that could be improved easily is that the white labels on the silver metal are very hard to read.
Amazed at the sound quality of this micro amp. I was driving my deck top Q Acoustic i20 speakers from an old but high quality Musical Fidelity amp previously and this little box brings so much additional clarity to my music I’m astounded. I was initially expecting to spend 300+ to get a replacement amp and find it really surprising to get this quality of sound from a 60 product. Well done Fosi, can’t wait to add a DAC to i
Well I have to say I was sceptical but i’ve been blown away by this little amp. I wanted a small amp to pair with some KEF Q-Series speakers that i’ve had kicking about to use in my office. I don’t really have the space for a full blown receiver so started looking at some mini-amps
I’m no audiophile, but I do know when something sounds good and when it doesn’t, and this sounds great. I’ve spent hundreds of pounds on amps in the past but this thing holds its own against everything i’ve owned previously – and all for the princely sum of 73!
I have had a couple of drop-outs on bluetooth, nothing major, but using the line in it sounds amazing. I’m still playing around with the bass and treble settings but so far so good. Volume wise it’s plenty loud enough for me, I did crank it up and got “the look” from the other half so quickly turned it back down again.
Very impressed with it, especially for the money
Paired with two KEF C7 front speakers doing bery good job.
My Rotel RCX 1500 died a death after 10 years service. It had a CD player, FM radio, DAB radio, internet radio, wi-fi connectivety to Windows Media Player, a USB connection, network connection and auxiliary ouputs which I used to connect to my record player, but no bluetooth. So I bought the FOSI to replace my Rotel and have connected it to my record player and I use mobile phone apps for the radio and bluetooth connectivity to my laptop for the CD player, USB drives, the Windows Media Player and internet radio not covered by the Apps. The result is outstanding with exceptional sound reproduction, better than the Rotel, and easy and quick connectivity. Buy it.
I have this connected to a pre-out from a 7.2.2 avr powering two ceiling speakers in another room. Im blown away by its performance, quality and price. Im very pleased with my purchase.
Connected it to my Windows 10 PC so that I can listen to all the albums I’ve put into iTunes through proper speakers. Very easy to connect to PC via RCA cable (haven’t tried the Bluetooth connection yet) and sound is good. It doesn’t have any bells and whistles or flashing lights and only one input but, for my purposes, is excellent!
Great product. Good sound, good build quality, excellent value for money. Neat little thing too
I bought this for my record deck in a small room. I’ve linked it to two Bose speakers (old ones) and the sound is great. So far very good value for money. Phil.
I was looking for a suitable replacement for my mains-powered studio monitors and PC speakers as I wanted to reduce the number of power sockets I am running, and want to install my setup into my mancave. I also purchased some Wharfedale Diamond 9 speakers and cable. Anyway, I set the amp and speakers up in less than five minutes an played some music through my smartphone via the bluetooth connection. I was very impressed! Very loud! Thanks to the tone controls I can adjust the bass and treble to suit the song. Ditto using the Mac. I have a DAW on my Mac and I was playing guitar and keyboard through the amp and speakers and I was blown away again. This amp really is a bargain at this price.
Had some old bookshelf speakers from a surround system and wanted a mini amp to listen to music at a decent volume. Originally planned to have this in the kitchen but was blown away by the improvement in sound stage when sat either side in my UHD LG telly. Can’t watch TV without it on now! I watch alot of YouTube music videos too, and they sound incredible. My LG TV allows optical out audio plus using the TV speakers at the same time. I increased the treble on the telly and use the bookshelf speakers to fill out the rest. Gives me the effect of a center speaker with plenty of bass for music and movie soundtracks. Watching YouTube music I switch the TV speakers off and listen through the bookshelf speakers. Speakers are rated 6-8 ohms and amp has plenty of power to annoy the wife. Only gripe is the 5.0 Bluetooth isn’t aptX. Apple don’t use that if your an Apple fan but my Huawei mobile can only connect in AAC not aptX HD as I was hoping. Bluetooth can never compete with a wired connection anyway and this wasn’t an issue for me. Bluetooth still sounded great anyway.
Bought this to power some speakers in my bathroom. I use the line-in for connecting to an Amazon echo, and my kids also connect their phones to it using BT. Works very well without any issues and without having to go near the device which is located in the attic. Sound quality cannot be faulted in this usage scenario.
I used this to implement zone 2 extension to my Denon AVR. Has phono input and then outputs to 2 new Polk Audio 8″ in ceiling speakers. Great price, works well and most important sounds nice with good bass. Also with bluetooth function i can use with Spotify.
Had an 80’s amplifier which I sold as we didn’t use it. But on hearing the speakers wanted to use the sound quality again but with the bluetooth capability. We were limited on space but had a CD player we wanted to use. This amp is perfect. We have our CD capability back and our speaker sound quality with the bluetooth. It’s so small but powerful we are really pleased with it brilliant. Would highly recommend.
I bought this amp as my hifi broke. I kept the speakers and hooked this up to them. The sound quality is massively better. Much more detail is present so you can more clearly hear the hammer striking the notes on piano music for example. It is loud enough for a large room, and I notice no distortion even on max. Overall it is incredible how such rich and detailed sound comes from such a tiny unit. Very impressed, just hope it lasts well too.
Very impressed. Bought this for a teen with wide music tastes. Paired with a vintage set of Denon Mission 20MK speakers the sound quality is excellent!
The Bluetooth seems to drop out intermittently but this may be an iPhone issue, not sure yet.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this great piece of kit.
On a value for money basis this clearly deserves 5 stars. The unit itself is tiny, but it packs a mighty punch, plenty loud enough for an average sized room. Set-up was straight forward, but I’d advise buying some ‘banana plugs’ for hassle free connection of speakers. Blue tooth connectivity is good and, unlike other reviewers, I can discern no difference in sound quality when compared to CD player via the RCA option. When connecting a lap-top via bluetooth I find I have to switch bluetooth off, then on again in order for the unit to find a connection, but this is a minor point. I don’t seem able to make a connection with my Android phone at all, but maybe that’s something I’m doing wrong. Audiophiles, or those with a very discerning ear might detect some minor ‘wooliness’ in sound quality. Personally, I listen to rock music so for me it’s not an issue at all really – for a purchase price of a mere 63 I think you have to be prepared for a few imperfections. I was about to fork out nearly 600 for an amp with bluetooth connectivity. Absolutely no regrets that I took a chance on this instead.
I have never had such sound from so small it’s grea
Considering the price and size of this amp, you will not believe the hifi quality sound it produces – crystal high frequencies, tight low end with strong mids. The bluetooth connectivity is great.
I originally bought some expensive PC speakers to play my hi-res music from my MAC while I’m working. They were pants!! So I thought I’d look for a hi-fi solution. Worried about what I would get on a budget, I luckily found this amp along with a pair of entry level Wharfedale speakers. Reviews for this amp were extremely favourable so I bit the bullet. I am so glad I did.
This is a PERFECT solution for what I needed. Hi-res hi-fi sound from my MAC. I think anyone who buys real hifi products would be extremely surprised at the performance from this little unit. It wouldn’t replace my full hi-fi amp but it is not far off.
If you are on a budget and need sound from your MAC or PC, forget the range of ‘computer speakers’. Most of them are poor. Get this amp and some decent hi-fi speakers. You won’t regret it. I am stunned and over the moon with it!
I bought this little amplifier to replace an old Sherwood amplifier which was 20 plus years old and beyond economical repair. After reading all the reviews I thought let’s give this a try. Impressive to say the least!! It perfectly powers and with great clarity a pair of Mordant Short Pearl i20 monitors. The Bluetooth range is also superior to a LG SL2 sound bar. I highly recommend this for a cheap great sounding amplifier when money is tigh
Use this to power some bookshelves for the PC, plenty loud enough for that and decent sound quality.
Girlfriend wanted a small sound system to go in the kitchen so after reading reviews of many class d amps I purchased the AMP and coupled it to a jbl control1’s. Sound is excellent for such a small amp with plenty of volume if you need it. It is well made, runs cool and easy to get going. Would recommend to anyone.
he amp is small but sounds and works fine, for the price I think its a 5 star produc
Received this as planned. Well packaged. After easy connecting the impression is overwhelming: clear and big sound simply defies its size. I recommend it!
Only have this a few hours, but it’s amazing!! Connected to 30 year old JPW sonata speakers, Spotify through phone, the sound is over 9 out of 10. Brilliant little amp. Bluetooth connection excellent, need to order rca/ aux cable for added flexibility.
I’m not an audio expert but this little device set up with some Wharfdale 9.1 speakers sounds great. I wish it had an Aux input instead of just bluetooth. But overall very pleased. And looks good too.
I’ve got this connected to some Yamaha water resistant speakers set into the ceiling of my bathroom (I have the amp in the roof space away from water) and have an Echo Dot connected to the AUX input.
Switches nicely between bluetooth and AUX connections.
Clean sound and the bass and treble adjustment is superb.
Reason for buy is to use in my garage while working there- youtube on phone via Bluetooth. Amp does a job as described, but the quality is not the best. Good bass, but rest required additional equalizer. Obvious youtube song quality, Bluetooth, phone, old-school analogue speaker – I understand… but was expecting much better after reading comments and reviews on Amazon. So if you use it for work or garage or gaming pc – fine, but if the quality of music is somehow important, then consider something more professional – previously used old Marantz with this speakers – I miss that sound quality…
I purchased this small amp along with an echo dot to power ceiling speakers in my bathroom and to provide voice activated radio and music on demand. The echo dot is in the bathroom and plugged into the shaver socket. The BT20A which replaced a big old heavy Pioneer AVS Receiver, is in a wardrobe in the bedroom and on all the time as it is low power when not in use. It is connected to the echo via bluetooth. It works seamlessly and the sound is very good and actually better than my previous amp as my FM reception wasn’t always that good.
I had an initial problem pairing the two devices but received quick and helpful support from Fosi and it turned out to be a echo bluetooth corruption which was corrected by reinstalling the echo dot. I can also bluetooth connect to the amp from my iPhone to play through the ceiling speakers.
Very happy with the BT20A and a great solution for adding bluetooth connectivity to existing speakers.
This amp is amazing. HiFi at a lofi price. Loads of volume and drives 200W RMS speakers no problem. I bought to drive speakers in my garage and it’s great. So good in fact that I bought another one within a few days. That one is going in the ceiling to drive a pair of Polk audio RC60i speakers in the bathroom. Tested set up and really good. The Bluetooth connectivity is easy and works very well. I haven’t tried a line in.
Small but powerful little amp connected to Wharedale Diamond 9 spkrs – sounds great. Bluetooth worked a treat with my iPhone 8 so an easy way to stream from the Neutron Music App (7.99 from the App Store). Marvellous little amp, well worth the money.
Neat package but not small on power. Really useful connectivity.
For the price, I can not complain at all. Easy Bluetooth switching for phone streaming.
My only complaint is, my phone and streaming devices play about 50% louder than the continued optic connection to my TV. Not a biggy just need to adjust volume manually.
I purchased this to replace my aged Rotel RA311 vintage amp. All my music is now stored in I tunes in my laptop, but my wife likes to use the CD player linked to the Rotel, so I needed an auxiliary input In addition to bluetooth which the BT20 A has. I am completely blown away by it’s performance and also by it’s small size. Linking my laptop to the BT20A via Bluetooth was totally trouble free, the sound from 2 large Sony speakers is perfect without any adjustments and the volume available is beyond belief for its size. This has freed my living room from around a suitcase full of cd’s and also a large amplifier. Very simple to use and a real pleasure. Fabulous performance for cost and size. Brilliant ! is my description.
Fantastic little amp for the money. With hi-fi, I’ve found that more expensive usually means better. This couldn’t be any further from the truth with this smart bit of kit. Sound quality is stellar, build quality is better than what you’d expect from some higher end brands, and the Bluetooth function is just the icing on the cake. Very little ‘noise’ feedback from when the amp is on but no audio is playing. Slightly more ‘noise’ when connected to Bluetooth rather than RCA, but I can look past this. Not experiencing any of the Bluetooth issues that other reviewers mention either. Don’t hesitate to buy this amp – pull the trigger.
Bought this to replace a bulky Cambridge Audio amp I’d been using for years. It’s incredible how something a fraction of the size outputs almost identical audio quality.
If you’re looking to save surface space (perhaps with a PC like mine) then you can’t go far wrong with this.
Excellent for music, video and gaming.
Found it easy and reliable to connect to phone and to my record deck. Connected to my old Tannoy Mercury speakers 8ohm ( which have been stored in the attic for years) and the sound quality is great. Wish there was also a left/right balance control.
The sound is deep & crisp, amazing quality for such a small amp!
Having not had a “real” hifi for a couple of decades I was getting fed up with single bluetooth speakers and wanted some stereo separation. I bought one of these and a pair of Wharfedale 9.0 speakers. Wow what a difference! Really pleased with purchases. To me it sounds like a real hifi setup, from my phone, for less than 200. Audiophiles will probably disagree – but then they always will 😉
n.b. you don’t need banana connectors it has screw terminals
I bought this Fosi amp (BT20A) 2 months ago having read mixed, but mainly good, reviews. I have it connected to a pair of Maudant Short MS20i speakers which were previously connected to a big Technics amp. I’m not an expert on sounds, but I like a good sounding stereo, and this amp with music from my phone (spotify) bluetoothed to it is great. It’s plenty loud enough for an average living room and the clarity is excellent, and the adjustments for bass and treble are simple and effective. I think it’s as good as the Technics amp (SA-EX320) soundwise, but much simpler with a lot less functions – but it does have bluetooth! I listen to music from my phone via bluetooth, and I have the optical out from my TV through a converter into the RCA inputs. Both sound great (to a non audiophile) with the only very slight issue being that occasionally when the TV is off and nothing is connected to the BT, if the volume is high some small clicky noises can be heard, but that may be the cheap optical to RCA converter I am using.
The power supply is a bit of an eyesore compared to the sleek little amp itself, so I had to hide that (and a load of other wires) in a cable tidy box. The picture shows how tiny it is next to a Tivo box.
I’m really glad I bought it and I would happily buy another if needed, but I am a bit miffed that in the 2 months since I bought it the price has dropped from 70 to 60! It is a bargain.
easy to set up, great bluetooth connectivity, does the job – and much better than I expected!
I was looking to replace a very old mini hifi stack so did a fair bit of research before selecting this item. I was looking for ok sound for a small room using existing old speakers. I was pleasantly surprised by the build quality which is well finished metal. The connections and switches are all good quality. I used the BT connection to Spotify and it was super quick and stable. I haven’t given the amp a thorough run through yet so 4 stars on sound quality. I did connect a small recently purchased mini valve pre zmp as I have a turntable and was pretty blown away by the sound quality of this combi especially for the price and size of the units. All round a very good bit of kit.
What an amazing bit of kit! I love my Brennan B2 audio player and amp, but wanted an inexpensive way separately to access and play my digital music collection elsewhere in our house. This unit has plenty of power to drive decent bookshelf speakers, and flexibly provides the following options: 1) Bluetooth or direct connection to an MP3 player or mobile phone holding a 128 GB SD card 2) Bluetooth or direct connection to an Amazon Dot, through which I can give voice commands to My Media ($5 annual subscription) to access music and playlists from a 500 GB remote drive on my home computer. The whole extra setup — Mini HiFi amp, MP3 player, SD card, Amazon Dot and bookshelf speakers — cost about 225 (or $300).
It came very well packaged. Once set up (less than 5 minuets) blue tooth connection very quick.
Sounds much better than expected (might depend on speakers, not sure, mine are monitor Audio 50`s)
overall exceeded expectations.
Great Little amplifier. Its proper small.
Bluetooth means you can hook up to your mobile – found mine (android) in seconds.
I could not find anything cheaper than this – perfect combo for record player (line) and phone (using bluetooth)
Hooked up to some Yamaha speakers – get in.
Fantastic Sound quality, very compact and very powerful excellent product and great value-well done Fosi Audio
I’ve hooked this little beastie up to a pair of Ruark Epilogue speakers which I had already to act as background music in the office and it works great. Slight background hiss when it’s on but once music is playing you don’t notice. Clear, crisp and detailed with excellent mid-range even at low volume. Bass is light and unobtrusive which is good news because I loathe unnecessary bass. If I have to be picky the packaging could be all card, not polystyrene and the speaker terminals are a little fiddly to use. Otherwise a good product.
Just got this little gem to put life back into my old JVC speakers and have to say the sound is so much better than the 5.1 surround sound system i had become used to. What was i thinking all these years? Just because i play music mainly through pc and phone my JVC speakers had become redundant. Well now with this gadget from FOSI they have been born again. Very happy with purchase set up was simple and connection on Bluetooth excellent. What’s not to like.
The amp is decently clean on sound and feels well made for the money. If you’re happy with low to smooth, averagely quiet listenings then this will suit fine. But if you want the full spectrum and more beef or a bit bolder yet smoother sound and, from time to time, at strong volumes then go for the NobsoundNS-15G PRO CSR867. I ordered both and did an A-B comparison with Q acoustic concept 20s(with stands) and the Monitor Audio Bronze 2.
Most people will be fine with this amp to be honest but you can have that little bit more for 12 extra.
I bought this to resurrect some quality speakers that I haven’t used for years. Fantastic sound which makes you realise how poor what you now accept as normal really is.
Very easy to set up, Bluetooth paired to a couple of devices immediately with no hassle. Sound quality is good and the amp is clearly doing a good job. Nice to have the bass and treble controls.
A decent-looking amplifier for a small price. The 100 watts per channel is more than enough to power my pair of passive Wharfedale 220 speakers (~30 watts RMS), and the sound is crisp and clear with a dynamic range. The bluetooth responds very well without distorting the sound. I recommend buying banana plugs though if your wires are larger than 2 mm in diameter. Overall the sound quality and built are excellent for such a small price. I’m planning to buy an active subwoofer soon and connect it to the amp, and I’m all good.
This piece of kit is brilliant for my requirements. Suffering from poor hearing I tried very expensive music speakers, Naim, Bose etc etc and all were unsuitable because they did not have good , separate bass/treble controls as this amplifier does.
I am so pleased that having wasted so much time and money I have found a perfect solution.
Highly recommended.
The actual sound quality is very good and works well with my speakers.
I am however annoyed and disappointed that the bluetooth no longer works. Something has caused this to stop broadcasting “Fosi Audio” and hence nothing can pair with it any more.
Turing the device off and leaving it unplugged does nothing. There is not way to reset this, so it seems the bluetooth module has become faulty.
Edit:
Back to 5 starts, simply because I now have a new device sent to me by fosiaudio direct.
The bluetooth is working perfectly now. It seems the previous batch may have had an innate fault that caused the issue of the bluetooth chip failing.
Customer service is very good considering that although a replacement part was sent, I never received it but the CS rep investigated and sent out a new unit instead, which I received within 3 days.
It did take 6 weeks to sort out though.
I was really surprised the amp. It really packs a punch for a small unit, the audio quality is great and bluetooth works without any issues. For the price I am really happy with the amp. Would definitely recommend.
A very well made product, well packaged.
Instruction booklet well written and easy to follow.
I highly recommend this bluetooth amplifier.
Some background hissing noise, speaker cables hard to thread through the tiny cable posts.
I wanted to power my Wharfedale Diamond 9.1s, but my AV receiver was too large so I took the plunge and bought this mini class D amp. OMG wow this amp makes my speakers sound better then my Onkyo amp!!! As an audiophile, I am quite fussy about sound, but wow this is the best thing I did! I Bi-wired my speakers and they sound great… I recommend using banana plugs for superior sound.
The only thing missing from this wonderful amp is a remote, so Fosi Audio if you are reading this, please produce a remote for your amps it would make the experience absolutely perfect!
Anyway so far so good! Definitely will recommend to anyone, its a god send!
I wanted to direct my Alexa unit to a pair of (large) passive speakers
Within 5 minutes the device was connected and the music was shaking the walls
How do they do it for the price?

I have a favourite pair of big old KEF monitor speakers in my work room and have in the past listened to ITunes, Spotify etc through a conventional 200 budget amp from a well known retailer. Dissatisfied recently with the sound quality I started looking for a replacement and chanced on this model. Firstly it’s amazingly compact, so just right for siting on my workstation (the old amp was under my desk). So easy to set up with both Bluetooth and Line In sources, the sound is crisp, beautifully balanced and with excellent tonal range. I chose the option with treble and bass controls as I’m fussy – the 4 extra was well worth it. Volume wise this tiny amp is more than adequate with house-filling sound, let alone room filling. There’s no standby noise, no audible distortion even at very high volumes. Amazing value with very good build quality and a sensible sized separate power supply that stays cold to the touch even when the amp is run hard (unlike so many that run worryingly hot). In a word, brilliant.
Very good service. Good sound quality to drive 2 largeB and W speakers from a tiny amp.
