So glad I purchased this. My previous yoga mat was thin and often slipped, but this one is just perfect, extra thick and extra support during my work-outs. It’s also wider, the other members at my Pilates session were super jealous! Looks great too and comes with a really convenient carry bag. A great staple in my workout kit. 100% recommended.
I wanted the best quality one I could (to protect knee joints) and went for this one as was wider which I like. Colour looks great, I hide it behind the settee as its so big! Only downside for me is it is a bit slippy, my hands tend to slide when in down dog, although don’t do much yoga on it as know it is not a specific yoga mat as its too thick but of course I do as its more protective for my joints. I wanted an exercise mat for home use, sit ups, plank, stretches etc. But most advertised mats were just a bit too narrow or not enough depth when tried and had to return as not up to the job. But this mat is a revelation – the extra width makes so much difference, and the extra padding depth makes so much more comfortable when used on a hard floor whilst still keeping a firm surface so not over-squashy. Really delighted and do not mind paying bit extra for the quality. Only slight criticism is that the surface is a little slippy, but quite workable and better than other supposed non-slip I’ve tried.
Having had this mat for a couple of months now, I can now say that I am extremely pleased with its quality. It gives support for my joints (they really need it) and it grips really well to my wood flooring so there’s no sliding and slipping. The extra width is an additional bonus – Love it! My daughter loves it just as much. It’s on her Christmas wish list.
Well worth spending that little bit extra for such good quality (as they say, you get what you pay for). Would highly recommend.
Bigger width and thicker so much more comfortable, non slip too so I felt much safer using it. I have been a fitness instructor fir over 20 years so have obviously used a few different mats in the past. Being a bit older now I tend to feel pain in knees,hips shoulders etc when lying on hard floors. The extra thickness of this mat stopped all of this. Although a bit more expensive than other mats the extra width,thickness and non slip in my opinion justifies paying a bit extra. Great mat guys
This is the first yoga mat I’ve bought. I’ve since bought a different, second one and this one is definitely thicker and a bit softer to use. The longer length is great and I like the cheery colour. It also has yoga markings which I find helpful as a novice.
You really feel the difference in the thickness and luxury of this mat compared to the more common thinner mats. You are not going to find many 12mm thick mats with the extra length and width that this has!
Doesn’t slide on the floor and unlike a few other reviews have suggested, I don’t find that the surface is slippery at all!

The only reason for 4 stars is that because of the thickness, its not an easy mat to roll up tightly to store or put away… in fact, unless you have help, its practically impossible to put it back in the supplied carry bag.

Excellent yoga mat! Non slip is a must for me, and it is great to have extra room, as a taller person. Very comfortable, I think it will last well as is very well made.
This is the best yoga mat I have ever had it’s non slip which is the biggest plus I can give it I have had numerous mats and they have all been slippy , it’s extra thick so doing certain moves no longer hurts my back and knees , it has alignment markings which really help with positioning my feet and hands , highly recommended if you want a comfortable workout I also use it for my hiit workout and it doesn’t move an inch FANTASTIC MAT
Wow. My first practice this eve on a mat which actually fits me! I’m tall and it is always a struggle when I use the standard mats at class. It was so lovely to focus on the flow and not worry about falling off the edge. Just the right amount of grip and the thickness is fabulous. Much more comfortable than my Sweaty Betty may which cost almost double.
I wanted a thicker yoga mat as I have problems leaning on my elbows for too long. This Mat was quite a lot more expensive than others but worth every penny. I love the extra thickness and the fact it’s bigger all round. Definitely recommend.

I have had it for about two months now and I am very impressed with the performance and durability.
I use it a lot, at least 4 times a week for many different styles,(Yoga,pilates weights training and hiit)and it’s been perfect for all my fitness styles. It has good grip and offers the best comfort I have ever felt in a fitness mat!

I am so happy with this yoga mat! I am 5ft10in and the length is great and with the extra width this mat feels nice and spacious during my workouts. It is super supportive and protects my knees and elbows without doubling the mat over which is what I needed to do with other mats. I am also able to do all my jumps/hiit barefoot which is lovely as the mat really absorbs the impact on my knees and ankles.
The non slip is good too and my workouts and stamina has improved since using it. I can put more energy into my hiit cause I don’t have to worry about slipping on the mat or the mat sliding on the floor whilst exercising.
My son loves it too! He is 5 years old and uses it for gymnastics and yoga. He says it’s really soft on his head and back for his roly-polys.
The alignment lines are lovely and very useful too. Great for even body placement. I personally love the detail of the centre point and the colour! ( I choose the pink one)

It’s extra wide which is so great particularly during savasana in yoga where my feet and arms usually spill out onto the floor!
It’s really thick and cushions your feet and your back like an absolute dream!
I not only used it for yoga, but also for my hiit workout. It was fantastic as I didn’t even have to wear trainers because the mat took all of the impact in the jumping jacks etc. Also the non slip material underneath is the first mat that I’ve had that doesn’t slip and slide on my wooden floors when I’m moving, even for a high impact hiit class!

Right, I am actually excited to write a review on this yoga mat because I am so pleased with it!! I have had my Gadel mat for about two months now and the quality is fantastic!
Both me and my daughter use it regularly. My daughter uses it for her Jo Wicks classes and she loves it! She says she loves how it grips to the floor and the alignment lines are very helpful for her too!
Myself, I use it for Yoga and Pilates and I find it gives me such comfort! I can really feel the difference especially on my head when I do my headstand pose but my elbows, hips and knees are so much more protected too. The cushioning is completely different to my previous nbr mat which was thick as well, but just too soft and squishy and very slippery!
Now, with my Gadel mat, I don’t have to worry about slipping at all because the grip is really good as well! I have solid support and a great grip every time I work out, even when I sweat and it cushions my whole body perfectly and gives me the extra width I need for my headstand!
The free yoga strap really beneficial too! So far I have just used the mat at home but I will be taking my mat to my gym hopefully soon so I was really happy when a friend of mine showed me how the yoga strap can double up as a carry strap too! I’ve tried it a few times now and it actually works really well and it’s so easy to do! I just loop it and fasten it on one side, then loop it and tie a knot on the other side.
I have attached some photos so you can see. Saved me from having to buy a carry strap anyway!
So overall, If you are thinking about buying it, I would highly recommend it!! It a superb quality exercise mat well worth the price and for me and my daughter, it’s been fantastic!! You can really feel the difference!!

What a great mat! Was given the pink and grey mat as a present by my friend. Love that its a thicker quality mat, not spongey at all. I feel safe and grounded when in use. I also like the length and the markings on the mat to show where to position feet to correct alignment and improve my posture. I am so happy with my lovely gift. Very highly recommended.
Great quality, comforting and durable fitness mat!
Hi, I don’t normally do reviews but I specialise in sports rehabilitation and this fitness mat has been extremely beneficial for me and many of my clients! I use it almost every day for high intensity workouts, body core/boot camp and rehabilitation exercises and it is the only mat I am using now.
I enjoy it for many reasons but here are my top points on this mat:
-The cushioning is superb! TPE in this thickness(12mm) is the best I have tried for supporting tender joints.)
-It is excellent for weight training, it’s shock absorption dampens the weight when put back on the floor.
-The mat has a nice surface pattern that makes it nonslip and my hands and feet have a good grip on the mat during all my exercises.
-It is non slip on the floor which makes it perfect for my hiit(high intensity interval training)workouts. I can jump around without the fear of the mat moving.
-I can wear trainers without fear of catching or damaging the mat.(a lot of my other mats could not take the impact of my trainers and dumb bells-and would rip little chunks out).
-It is extra wide and I can do all my exercises on the mat without feeling restricted.
Some might feel the price is too high but to me it is absolutely worth it. The quality is superb and I think it’s worth investing in good quality products, especially when it comes to your fitness and health.

I like that this mat stays in one place and doesn’t slide all over the floor when doing a workout. It is thick with decent cushioning and I feel like I can do a workout without shoes on. It also feels comfortable for yoga.
This is the first time ever I’ve not needed to use a jumper or cushion to pad up my coccyx to do my sit ups!!! The thickness of this mat provides great protection. My coccyx bone protrudes out so with any sort of pressure on it is super uncomfortable! I can actually do proper sit ups now with this yoga mat! BRILLIANT!!!

I have been looking for a thicker TPE mat for more cushioning and I liked what people were saying about this yoga mat.
My only worry was that it would affect my standing postures, as a few people told me that I wouldn’t feel grounded with a thicker mat. Luckily for me I decided to try it out anyway because it has been absolutely pure joy to train on my new yoga mat! I feel very grounded and safe during my practice and I can perform all my standing balancing poses with ease. Best of all is the relief I feel on my my elbows, knees and hip when I do my floor exercises. I am so much more comfortable. The cushioning really is good and supports my body extremely well. I’m not slipping on the mat either which is important to me.
I do power yoga, yin and pilates and i use it for hiit exercise as it grips really well on our wood flooring as well. It honestly is the best mat I’ve ever used and I would highly recommend it for any age and for any type of fitness. 5 stars for sure!!!

These mats really are the best fitness mats I have ever tried! I absolutely love them! Me and my partner got one each and we are both blown away with the comfort and quality!
I would say best thing about them is the extra thickness! The cushioning is superb! It has made our training sessions so much more enjoyable because I am not complaining every time I have to go on my knees and elbows. I used to be so uncomfortable before, and I used to have to stop my flow to fold my mat over.. Well not any more!
And best of all, the mats are not sliding around. We actually had thicker mats before, but they were NBR mats and we both found the NBR mats slippery, and not offering much support for our joints.
This TPE mat is is completely different quality. It’s dense and firm but with the best cushioning!
Another plus for me is the extra width! It is so nice to have that extra space when changing positions.
The alignment lines are beautiful too! I find them very helpful when I’m on all fours, as I can quickly check that my hands and knees are parallel.
We got yoga straps as well and that has made it a bit easier to relax in our deep stretching positions. The straps also comes in handy after our work outs as we use them to tie around the mats.
Overall, we couldn’t be happier!

I have been needing a new yoga mat for a while, particularly as I wanted to be more motivated to get to the mat. I have been slipping on my old mat and could no longer do back bends. I had a look on Amazon and read a review for my new mat which had been left by an instructor. I have been to yoga twice this weekend and am delighted with the mat. The directional patterns on the mat are really helpful and the width and thickness make for a joyful practice. Its thick, good quality and most importantly – non slip. What a transformation. This mat is such good quality and super stylish! The light pink top colour is gorgeous and beautifully complimented by the grey bottom layer. In regards to the performance of the mat, I am very impressed! I can’t believe how comfortable the thickness of this mat is! On my old mat I could feel the cold floor underneath me, but now it’s just pure warmth and luxury! The cushioning around my ankles when I do my breathing exercises in the Lotus position has made it so much more enjoyable and I will definitely be doing meditation more regularly now! Exercises where I have to go on my knees and elbows are much more enjoyable too! I actually broke my record doing my plank on this mat!!! Yay!!! Happy days!!!
First of all, the packaging was really nice and the mat was very well presented with a lovely film covering around the mat, it made me feel like I was really treating myself to something special. I am a larger and heavier person and the extra width and thickness is instantly very noticeable from the start when I am doing my exercises, compared to my other thin mat. I can sometimes become quite sweaty after my hard work out fitness sessions, but I have to say that the non slip surface is fantastic! And the mat really grips to the floor, giving me complete confidence during my sessions. I would very much recommend this to anyone who is slightly on the larger side but most of all, who likes the comforting thickness of a tape yoga mat. This is great value for money. Finally a mat for people like me. Bravo to Amazon, I am really excited to get my weight down and work work work!!!

I’m extremely happy with this great quality item. I have wooden floors so I was looking for a thicker matt and this is perfectly comfortable with zero pressure on my joints. Fantastic quality yoga mat. It’s more than double the thickness of my regular mat (see photo). It’s really comfortable to lay on and cushions my back and knees very well. I’ve never used a larger yoga mat before, but I absolutely love it and highly recommend it to all my class members (I’m a fitness instructor). Especially as it doesn’t stretch and move like some other thick mats I’ve used before. It has good grip and doesn’t move about. I’ve had so many complements on it.
