Making Infinite open world has worked for Halo. Its nice not to be shoved down a corridor and for the first time being given the option of what to do. I ignored the entire story because its more Cortana and typical Halo stuff. The writing is pretty poor in that Cortana is too happy quirky and Master chief is another gravely voiced American. Someone wants a ring chief kills everything to save the world. That’s the long and short of it. Combat is fun. Can be a bit laggy at times. Had difficulties spawning vehicles in and the game loading in enemies. The story itself seemed short. Me and my mate done everything over three sessions. But it’s certainly a step in a better direction than 4 & 5.

Halo at its best, great campaign & multiplayer, love co-op campaign with a friend. More weapons & vehicles to use then ever & halo’s never looked better, even on an xbox one s.

Definitely my favourite game in the series, because it’s open world (ish) you can get creative when facing the bosses e.g. Get a vehicle with a long range weapon and you can attack the boss without them being able to get close to you. Stunning game!

I enjoyed this game. It’s getting a bit episodic and the master chief’s character has been betrayed by the story and developer changes one too many times but I still love it. May 343 milk this cash cow for at least another 3 adventures. I never want this guilty pleasure to end.

I love that the campaign mode is still central and relatively meaningful.

This is easily one of the best games on the Xbox series X. I really like their approach to open world, I particularly found the online aspect to be amazing. My only gripe is that the gameplay doesn’t feel much different from the older Halos, I would appreciate a few more modern mechanics

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersVery different to classic Halo games, but whilst being different there is no compromise in quality. This game embraces open world in a really good way.

Reminds me of a better version of far cry in terms of capturing fobs etc. But it had the Halo battle characteristics, weapons and storyline.

Golden Review Award: 6 From Our UsersHalo Infinite on disc is not as it seems as barely anything on the disc.
The whole idea of buying the game on disc is to avoid having to download hefty chunks of data.
How wrong this was as you are forced to download practically the entire game on both Xbox one or Xbox series x.
This took most of the day (20mbps) as for some reason Xbox seems to download slower than the PlayStation and Nintendo. also made even longer as it would stop installing to begin downloading Microsoft store stuff instead and not sticking to the game which was first on the list……things do not get ay better in rest mode as it again will pause installation for what ever pointless Microsoft apps want to update and yet again will not resume the games install until you command it to.

The game itself looks pretty good, but the story has become stale, multiplayer not my thing but seemed ok but following the sheep with similar modes as the other so called hip online shooters.
Everything has just become stale and boring.
I buy Xbox machines to play Halo and Forza and maybe it time at least for Halo to put it to rest….its run its course, just put it out of its misery.

Interesting campaign as mixed of indoors and open world, it can be tough against tough bosses, especially the one with a weapon that kills u instantly

Multiplayer is good but lack of contents tho

    Missing coop and forge tho

Nice to see halo going in a slightly different direction but I’ve enjoyed the game and that’s what matters.

I spent the last few weeks playing every Halo game back to back using the Master Chief Collection, Halo 1 2 3 4 5. Halo Infinite is by far the greatest Halo game ever created. It’s the best in the series yet and totally hits the mark.

Campaign is long and good fun, a mix between open world and indoors missions. The outdoors offers freedom to explore and how you take on missions, the indoors are more traditional halo missions however don’t stick out in my mind.

The best moments are when you rescue a pack of marines, reaching the top of a mountain switching up weapons to drive the enemy back – there’s a few moments like this which remind you why you loved halo in the first place.

Not played much multiplayer, however seemed to work well and was free to play.

    Recommended.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersWow, what can I say? From the story, to the graphics, to the game play, to even the music. It’s all just perfect.

I’m not a big gamer at all and it takes a really good game to get me involved and interested and this game does that.

    Highly recommend to anyone!
