“Long Story Short”
It will work with OLED or normal version
All easy to set up
Fits perfectly
Very responsive
Good design
Value for money 10 out of 10
This works really well. It’s super easy to set up, very simple. It feels very comfortable to hold, it’s quite a big grip which I like. All the buttons are very responsive. Really impressed. Good price too.
First impressions is how large it is. Essentially a pro controller with the gap of a switch screen between each hand grip. Despite being so big, it is actually pretty light and does feel good on the hands. Both sides have decent grips and it feels a lot better in the hand over playing with the nunchucks attached.
Connecting was not as straightforward as just plugging it in. It took me a while to realise you have to go to your switch settings and turn on “Pro controller wired communication” this was even after reading the instructions a few times. I only noticed because I went to the amazon page and saw it on the images. After you tick that, it connects instantly. The Switch sits snuggle between the two controllers and is plugged into a dock, meaning you can plug a wire into the bottom of it and charge your switch at the same time.
I really want to like this but the big thing bugging me that I didn’t even realise until I attempted to play a game was the analog stick and buttons on the right side have swapped spaces. The analog stick is above the buttons, I’ve never seen this on a controller before and after playing games for so many years whenever I see a button on screen my brain 100% of the time without fail hits the analog stick before realising the buttons are below it. I’ve tried playing games on this and it really is a bit of a hassle. On more laid back games, it’s not too much of an issue as everything is slow paced, but faster moving games, it can be annoying when you are constantly trying to remember the layout is different from every other controller that has ever existed. I don’t know if this was just a mistake or done on purpose, but I would have preferred this so much more if the buttons were above the analog stick.
This controller is awesome because it’s really easy to use and it’s very comfortable to hold. I like that it slots onto my switch easily and it was very quick to set up. It’s lightweight yet strong and sturdy so I feel it’s durable and will easily withstand heavy usage. I really like the design and colours and I feel it’s good quality. It does exactly what I need it to do without any fuss and I’ve not had any technical issues with it at all. I like that the handles are non slip and the vibrations are decent on it too. I think the value for money is good and I do recommend it.
My boy loves his switch but the small controllers on the side are not very ergonomic and he bought himself a pro controller.
This is fine but means carrying round a secondary controller and standing the screen up.
This all in one controller works very well, it links straight into the USB C port and works exactly as you would expect.
The analogue sticks are sensitive and tilt controls work, rumble motors work as they should and there is even a turbo function for cheating!
The grips are comfy but the triggers are a bit solid feeling and only on/off with no in-between but I guess that’s the same as the switch itself.
I knocked a star off only because there is a slight wobble front to back when the switch is inside, it won’t fall out but if could have done with a little foam strip in the back or on the front arms when it holds the switch in.
I gave this to my son who loves the switch this is what he said…”ok, feels solid and is responsive but not the exact same as what I’m used to, some of the buttons don’t correspond with Nintendo so for a while I kept pressing the wrong buttons. The switch clicked into place fine, its not for me because I’m so used to playing instinctively but gave it to a friend who has found it fine.”
Overall my son said its well made and ok, at the time of review 39.99 which isn’t a lot to pay these days.
his is a compatible pro controller for switch console, it is wired controller type, there is a usb-c connector to connect to switch while the console is mounted, it works with original switch and oled switch model, there are 2 levers to adjust the grip width
before using the controller, i have to switch on the “pro controller wired communication” option, i spent 5 minutes to figure out why the controller was not working, eventually it’s mentioned in the instruction there is a special setting to enable it
this controller is comfortable to use, the grip is big and there are stripes pattern for a firm hold while playing, i wish the grip is made of silicone so it will be more soft and non-slippery
joysticks and buttons are very responsive, particularly i like the enhanced zr and zl buttons (named r2 and l2 in this controller) they’re bigger and more easy to trigger
also all buttons could be set to enable “turbo” and “auto” fire feature, just press the target button together with the feature button to enable and press again to disable, very handy; it’s very useful for games that need rapid button pressing (e.g shooting, fighting game)
need a bit of time to get use to new location for the minus, plus, home and capture button location, but overall it don’t affect the game play much
there is also an usb-c charging port with the controller, so it will never run out of battery, but the port is for charging only, cannot further connect to more usb devices
all in all, i’m very happy with this product, would definitely recommend
hope you find these information helpful
Snap and play unit, this is great if you want to upgrade your standard controllers to a more user friendly version. Sort of turns your console into an Xbox / PS style controller which allows for much easier game play in my eyes! All connected and worked great, nice plastic build so easy to wipe down when required too. Very well packaged so could make a lovely side gift!
Controller comes in a box with an instruction sheet. However if you follow the instructions provided the controller won’t do anything – you also need to follow the steps in the second description picture (on the Switch go to System Settings and turn on ‘Pro Controller Wired Communication’ which seems to be set to off by default). Once this setting has been changed, the controller works fine just by slotting the Switch into it. The controller fits well in the hand and has larger controls than the joypads making it feel more like a regular console controller. The grips have a rubber like texture that helps stop them slipping in your hands. The controller has a USB C port on the base that allows the Switch power cable to be connected to charge the Switch whilst playing. It also has embedded motors for providing vibration feedback. A good controller option for the Switch.
HASACOOL Switch Pro Controllers for Nintendo Switch/OLED, One-Piece Switch Controller Replacement for Pro Controller Switch with Adjustable &Auto Turbo/ Precise Motion Control/Dual Motor Vibration.
This comes well presented in its own box so it would make a great gift as its presented so well…… And so it should as its not cheap!
this is OK but does feel rather cheap and plasticy , deffinatly overpriced and not worth nearly 40!
Our 10 year old grandson is the one with the Nintendo Switch and he got it set up straightaway, he knew exactly what to do and if I’d tried it would if taken me forever, he’s a clever lad when it comes to technology!…. He had it up and running in no time.
He liked it and said it was “cool” and felt comfortable to use.
This works exactly as the description states with no issues.
I can reccomend but I don’t reccomend the price tag!
This is for me better and more intuitive to use than the switch paddles so I like the control, I like the 6 axis and I like the rumble control, it does feel a little cheap but it is just plastic so I guess it is not that big a deal for me, it was easy to pair and easy to use so gets my recommendation.
Pro Controller Compatible with nintendo Switch Premium Joypad that has Turbo Speed settings NFC Technology Adjustable Vibration Intensity the grips are Red & Blue and you just dock your swith into the controller
Very easy to set up and works perfectly with normal nintendo switch looks great aswell build qaulity is great and it feels nice and sturdy it also has six axis and is very responsive worthy of 5 stars deffinately
This one piece controller is an excellent addition to my Nintendo Switch setup. Build quality is excellent and it has performed flawlessly with my console, with no issues. The controller makes holding the whole console in portable mode extremely comfortable to hold for extended periods, especially as the buttons and joysticks have much more room between them compared to the stock controllers, hugely increasing comfort. It’s powered by the console’s USB-C, with a pass through port included so you can still charge the switch while playing. I really like how you can make this unit compatible with both the OG switch and the newer OLED version, but simply sliding a lever that deploys or retracts spacers. It’s a very elegant solution, that extends the longevity of this device, if I choose to upgrade to an OLED console it will still work.
Overall an excellent controller, I’m very happy
The original joycons that come with the switch are fine for most games but they aren’t the most comfortable. For me, it doesn’t compare to the experience when you are using a gaming controller that sits in the hand nicely that has triggers and good analog sticks. Well with this you can bring the console feel to a hand held device and it makes a huge difference ! To use this all you have to do is slide it in and you are good to go. No need for batteries or charging. It does make the switch quite bulky and wide when using but it sits in your hand really comfortably and somehow makes the screen feel bigger. The analog sticks are much better than the original switch ones and the layout of them makes them easy to use. The triggers are fine, not amazing but I sure prefer them over a button. Overall a great buy, really improves the gaming experience on the switch and for the price it’s well worth buying.
My gaming son had a pleasant surprise with this one. He thought the quality wouldn’t be good but he actually liked it.
He literally liked everything about it apart from the side buttons maybe could be a bit better quality. It wouldn’t put him off buying though as he was generally imoressed with the overall build and plastic quality for the money.
So the description states this is a:-
HASACOOL switch pro controllers for nintendo switch/OLED. One-Piece joycon controller replacement for pro controller switch with adjustable & auto turbo / precise motion control / dual motor vibration.
I personally didn’t set it all up and the younger ones do it for me as. I don’t have a clue what I’m doing lol. But told what to do and somehow beat them and now not allowed to play against them lol.
What I do know is that it was much easier to use with this because it’s more like a X.box or PS controller. It feels better in hand because I had a better hold, because of the bigger hand grips.
*** It does tell you what to do:-
* Go into system settings
* Select “pro controller wired communication”
* Plug into console
* Automatically connected
The controller CAN be played while charging by plugging into the official Switch power adapter via a USB C cable (No battery)
*** The wired controller supports:-
* Auto/manual turbo
* 5/12/20 shots per second
* Vibration for compatible games
* Grip has dual built-in motors
* Sensitive motion control
* Fast response without delay
* Suitable for motion sensing games
* Screenshot and video recording function
~ to share on social media
* 6-axis gyro for gravity sensing:-
* Adjust somatosensory
* Adjust direction
* Adjust vision
I’ve played with it a few times when I’m allowed lol. I personally find it better than using it with the normal small handles that you use with the switch.
The kids say it’s hit a miss with choosing to use it. What they do like is that they can continue playing their game when it’s plugs in as their battery has died.
But one thing they pointed out but I didn’t understand because I knew no difference, that the one button is in a different position than it is on the original part. So if you go from playing on the normal switch set up to using this then you may end up pressing the wrong button.
So far so good
But I will update this review if needed.

This is a great addition to my Switch. It is comfortable to hold and easy to grip.
The setup was super quick, you can charge your Switch while playing on the controller. It is quite heavy to hold but you can put it on the table and play while it in the controller.
It vibrates, which is a great feature as I can feel every movement when playing Need For Speed. There is a switch you can click, this is for what Switch you are using Switch Oled or for the original switch.
The instruction instructions are not very clear so I have written down how to pair it to your Switch
To pair go into System Setting and click on Controllers and Sensors and click. Then click on turn on pro controller wired communication. Next click on change controller grip/order click A and the controller should be connected.
I really don’t think my daughter has taken this off her switch since I got it. This one was for the normal switch rather than the OLED which I believe have different sized screens. I couldn’t get on with it because of the vibration on it but my daughter loved it. She found it so easy to use and I don’t think it will come off her switch for a while
We don’t mind this too much. You do need to pair it in the right way, once we figured that out all was well. It’s nothing special, probably quite cheap plastic, but it holds our switch no bother and the lads quite like the way it makes the controllers more available for larger hands. Clips in and out easily. The buttons are not true to the switch controllers so if you’re totally used to them, this will feel odd. Think of this as an over-sized Xbox controller which you pop your switch in the middle of. We’ve not explored the options of the availability to do certain things with the different buttons. Is it pro? Not sure I know what defines a pro item, so I’ll leave that judgment to you. I’d like it more if it was cheaper, but quite honestly, 40 IS quite cheap these days for things like this (shrug).
The controller is really nice. You just slot your switch in and make sure you have turned on pro controller wired communication in system settings. You can also charge your switch via the USB C port while you play.
The buttons and thumbsticks are responsive, there is minimal rattle, and the controller is of high quality. I expected a more hollow, cheap feeling, but it actually feels pretty solid.
On either side of the controller are blue and red grips, and I found it very comfortable to hold for extended periods of time. The controller also includes turbo and auto attack buttons, as well as vibration motors.
I could not be happier with this controller and would recommend it.
My husband has always thought of my Nintendo Switch as a ‘female’s’ console, despite the fact that he happens to play a couple of games on it. When I got this controller and put the Switch into it he soon changed his mind! He loves the controller, it’s large and has very comfortable hand grips, add to that all the stuff gamers like such as the turbo speeds, the mega shock vibrations, and not forgetting the auto attack feature, and he plays on the Switch far more than he used to and isn’t afraid to admit it lol. Personally I like how comfortable it is to hold but for me the best part is that I can charge and play at the same time without the wire getting in the way. I often found that I would run out of battery when I was so involved in a game that hours would pass. Now I can play and not worry about running out of power.
The actual controller feels very sturdy and I think it will withstand many hours of games including the type that you need to constantly pound the buttons on. The sensors work well so that when you play games that involve motion there is no delay. It really is a very impressive controller!
One thing to note, it does say it in the ad, but I didn’t read it properly, so just in case you are like me…you need to go into settings and turn on Pro Controller Wired Communication. Once that is done you shouldn’t have any problems.
I am very happy to recommend this.
