Highlander Echo Adults Mummy Sleeping Bag 3 Season, 3-4 Season & 4 Season – Thick Technical Spiral Insulation, Water Resistant Coating, Double Layer Filling with Compression Carry Bag – Great for Camping, Fishing, Backpacking, Outdoors, Bushcraf
You just scrolled to the bottom end of the Mountain, it’s time to add your precious item to the cart – Take Comfort With You.
I am not an expert, but it seems small: I had troubles closing it and I am 1.72 meters tall. But perhaps this tightness is what makes it suitable for very low temperatures (in Extreme). If I had known it was so tight, as I never camp in cold seasons, I would have bought a different, more comfortable.
We used it in summer at approx 1000 meters high, temperatures around 8-10 degrees at night, and we had to sleep in shorts otherwise it was too warm.
It’s as good as all the reviews suggest. This is now my 6th sleeping bag, and I like it as much as my 120 superwarm Vango Supernova500.
It’s fluffy, thick and superwarm, yet packs down to a really small size. It’s easily warm enough for any conditions in the UK; it may not be up to expeditions or very cold conditions, but for most UK “recreational” campers it’s perfect.
High quality and well-made.
It looks lovely.
If you want a decent sleeping bag that’s nice and warm without spending the earth, you could do a lot worse than this!
So far we have only used this sleeping bag once, but I think it’s enough to review it. I can’t really give it 5 stars, because I don’t think it truly delivers what it promises in the description “ideal for extremely cold conditions”. I think it’s good in a cold environment, but definitely not subzero. For subzero you need extra blankets and/or lots of clothing. But for this price, I think it’s comfortable and warm enough.
This sleeping bag is amazing if you don’t mind sleeping in till mid day. Me and my friend were climbing in the Isle of Skye during January, but these sleeping bags were more than warm enough. So warm in fact that we actually missed a few days climbing because it was so comfortable we didn’t want to get up, and I’m normally the kind of person who can’t stay in bed when I wake up.
I am sure there are better, lighter four-seasons sleeping bags than this one, but for the price I was pleased. It appears to be of good quality and packs down reasonably small (the compression bag helps a lot with this). It is very comfortable and roomy enough for someone of my size (five foot eight and 11 stone). The only reason I did not give it 5 stars was because I am a bit sceptical about the “comfort at -6C” claim on the label. I used it recently in a tent when the night-time temperature was about 0C and felt warm but only just, despite having all the zips done up and the hood on. A couple of times in the night I awoke and thought “am I starting to feel a bit cool?”. However, I was lightly dressed, so a couple of extra layers would have fixed the problem. Wouldn’t want to risk it at -6C” though without an extra blanket or two. Also, the bag is a bit too big and heavy to be practical for most hiking/climbing purposes, although fine if space and weight are not issues.
Great sleeping bag fast delivery only got 4* because it’s tight so doing it up is a little bit of a struggle but once it’s done up you fell like you have room to move again which is weird
Use this, to keep walm, when at work. Spend nights sat in my car, doing security. I unzip it and have it draped over my lags, blanket-like. It is rather thick and bulky, though
got this for my son who camps all year round He used it on Saturday 28/01/2017 in snow and – 4 conditions He says its the warmest sleepimg bags he has used
I slept 5 nights in it in Scotland, wild camping of course, mid-September. The nights were coldish and humid, especially the last one at the top of a 1300 feet mount, lashed by the night winds. “Winter is coming” I thought – oh yes it was. And when it came, I slept with temperatures bellow zero without being prepared to it. And here come Highlander 400: you just have to zip everything from feet to neck, and you just forget about the cold! This is amazing, so comfy and warm… Don’t hesitate!
Appears to be a good sleeping bag and value for money – though the temperature performance stated in the item’s description are slightly different from what’s printed on the stuff sack for the bag. Looking forward to seeing how well it works this weekend in sub-zero temperatures.
This is one hell of a sleeping bag!! Bought for our daughter who is a army cadet and is currently doing her Duke of Edinburgh award, sleeping under the stars on dartmoor is never going to be “cosy” but this bag kept her as warm as possible you can feel the quality it’s a reallu good piece of kit.
Received in good time and in good condition. Had a little go and is snug, warm and comfortable. Will be sleeping under the stars in it this week (end of December).
It has never failed to keep me warm especially compared to my lightweight sleeping bag.
It is not to bulky to pack. I highly recommend this product for someone who like me sleeps in unheated rooms. The PRICE is good for the quality of thermal abilities.
his sleeping bag very well made ,looks fine and very warm .
I used it this year wrc in wales I had the eco 350 the two other members of the party had their sleeping bags and cold night with their
sleeping bags great bit of ki
Lovely and Comfy these sleeping bags make you mumified so there is no chance of losing any heat when your out camping decided to buy 2 and was the best decision i have made waking up to as cold morning on a camping site all nice and warm thanks to this sleeping bag
Very warm bag, for a very good price! I’m one of the more “freezing” type of person, but this one keeps me warm.
The only minuses are the size and weight (nothing too excessive, and perfectly adequate for the price) and straps on the covering sack, which are easy to rip off.
Have used this on a trip to skye in July. I am female and 168 cms and am freezing all the time so camping is a real struggle without a warm sleeping bag. This one is big enough (however my girlfriend at 172 cm who this was meant for found it to be too small for her and therefore had to use a different one, so I’d not recommend for bigger/ taller people) for me and definitely warm enough for Scotland in July. Super comfy, cosy and not too heavy.
Had the same sleeping bag for years until the zip broke so I required a good quality and durable replacement and this has certainly fit the bill.
Very warm!
I bought two of these sleeping bags for my wife and I when we climbed Kilimanjaro. They kept us warm and toasty up to around -10 degrees. They weigh 2.2kg so not so lightweight and pretty bulky but for that price, they really are an excellent piece of kit. Highly recommended
Really cosy. Inner lining feels very natural and cosy. My other sleeping bag was all nylon and sweaty but this is totally different. It keeps you warm without suffocating. Perfect for camping. My son took it for a week away and he is 6foot. He said it was perfect. Slightly bulkier to pack but that is the only downside and far outweighed by the comfort value!
I bought this for my 10 year old to use when camping in the UK from March to Sept and have since borrowed it myself. We camp about 4 times per year in the UK so we have encountered most kinds of weather at some point, including the odd night at under 5 degrees. The quality of the sleeping bag itself is fine and the rating seems about right. My only criticism would be that actually I am 6ft and quite broad shouldered so it is a bit snug for me, hence 1 less star.
Warm warm warm! I love it after a few cold nights under canvas. One issue that’s annoying is the zip is on the wrong side but that’s my bad as I bought the wrong one. I believe they offer a left side zip. 🙂 the zip does snag however quite a lot which is a pain when you are trying to get cozy.
very warm- we were camping in north Scotland in warm weather- and it was actually to hot, later we went to Norway in July and also – very hot inside- it is a sleeping bag for colder weather- however- well done- we are very happy with the purchase
Absolutely brilliant, brought this for wild camping mainly with my hammock and tarp. After spending a few almost sleepless nights; due to cold temperatures it was time for a splurge. So first off as other reviews state, it is a big boy bagged up, but that said the compression straps help alot. And I soon realised the extra bulk was more than justified. The warmth of this bag compared to others I’ve owned is phenomenal, at -8 I was blissfully unaware of the cold, without being uncomfortably hot. As far as comfort goes I’m 5″11 – 12 stone and fairly stocky, and had no problems getting in and out while in my hammock. It does get a little tighter round knee hight as narrows for the foot box – which is a nice touch. All in all this is a unbelievable bargain I couldn’t be more pleased.
Absolutely chuffed to bits with this bag – I’m no expert, so I’ll keep it short – very, very warm. I don’t see this as a problem as when it dips below 8 I’ll have the advantage, and above that just sleep with less on. Obvious trade off with the price being what it is is how much it packs down, which isn’t bad and I certainly haven’t had problems with that yet. I shove it in a duffle bag and take it with me, I never hike with it so that’s a crucial difference. Very, very pleased for the money and it’s so obviously better than anything you’d get in a blacks or cotswold for the same price. Well done Highlander!
I get really cold really easily, complete girl when it comes to camping, but this sleeping bag kept me so warm. It was even rained on a bit but the water didn’t soak through, so the inside was still dry. Absolutely worth the money.
Used it this May. The weather was sunny and warm, though became a bit windy in the night.
This was so warm that my wife and I had to open the side zipper and took off our training suits.
The cons are, 1. the side zipper tended to be stuck easily, 2. A bit too confined feeling inside.
This is a bulky sleeping bag but in terms of value for money, it doesn’t get better. I have used this for years now in camp sites but also when wild camping in places like Dartmoor and its been great. Very warm and comfortable.
his is a cheap (price wise) 4 season sleeping bag, ideal for family camping trips but too bulky top use on a hiking trip where space and weight is essential. I go camping regularly with my family and my wife always complains about being cold at night but since we have had these sleeping bags she has slept much better. Only downside is that the sleeping bags do not leave much wiggle room so if you are a little claustrophobic then I would not get one.
I live in the highlands of Scotland and do a lot of winter camping and have a grate need for a good sleeping bag as the temperature can dip to -13 as they did in my first trip with this bag and i will have to say compared to my last bag that cost me 275 this does just as good a job in maintaining body temperature, quality of material and design all in all amazing quality for money 🙂
his is am amzing sleeping bag because it is warm and it is long as i am 6’1″. really warm and when i mean that i really do. but highly recomandable. only problem is it is hard to put back into the bag and you have to force it and therefore the bag may not woth stand the presure but all in all amaing value for money and deffinaly will keep you warm.
Kept me very warm and comfortable during a December camping trip to the Cairngorms. Zip is a little fiddly as it gets stuck in the cover easily, and it’s a little bulky when wrapped up (had to have external to camping bag, unlike some of my companions with more expensive sleeping bags) but for the price, it’s very good.
I used this sleeping bag for 6 days on Kilimanjaro in September 2015. There may have been ice inside my tent but this sleeping bag kept me toasty warm. Crazy to think I could have spent hundreds of pounds on a sleeping bag for the trip but this one was perfect for about 20! I also used this sleeping bag while camping on safari – was a bit too warm to wear PJs in but was super comfortable.
Very warm and cosy! But who ever decided to use a small fidley zip in conjunction with about 4 velcro fastenings didn’t consider the fact you will be in the bag in the dark wriggling around like an idiot wondering where the hell this bit of velcro goes or why the zip won’t come all the way up. I haven’t yet managed to seal it all up as intended but this hasn’t stopped me staying warm.
I retired my old Argos 400gsm mummy sleeping bag. It got wet during a week’s camping in Wales.
While this sleeping bag hasn’t seen much outdoor action, I have the following observations when I tried this out at home.
1. Similar bulk and weight to the Argos Pro Action 400gsm sleeping bag. Ie. Bulky!
2. The zips can get stuck, so zip up slowly as not to accidentally rip the material.
3. Harder to get back into the stuffsack compared to my last Argos one. I find it easier to systematically rotate the stuffsack, while pushing the sleeping bag in. Once half the sleeping bag is in, I use my foot to push it down to create a bit more space to finish the job.
Having camped before and almost frozen, I wanted to find a warm sleeping bag that might help me enjoy the camping experience a little more (it’s not my natural environment). I’m really pleased with this sleeping bag. I’ve now used it several times – in GB, in spring and sutumn and not god cold at all. The hooded part is great for keeping a nice warm pocket of air around your head. I had thought the ‘mummy’ style might be restrictive around my legs, but not the case at all. Really pleased with this sleeping back.
Brilliant quality sleeping bag, it’s warm, thick, comfortable and will do everything a sleeping bag needs to do on a cold night.
The downside is that it is bulky, too bulky to take on hiking trips. If you’re the car park camper then this is perfect!
Excellent quality. VERY warm. Very well made. I’m 6ft, 14 stone, and find it roomy. The supplied storage sack is fiddly and feels a little delicate – think I’ll replace that with something a bit tougher (and easier to use), but otherwise this is an excellent sleeping bag.
I took this to a festival after a few years of using useless ones that don’t keep me warm.
This is PERFECT. If anything, I get too hot (but that’s better than being freezing!). The sleeping bag is okay to carry, it’s slightly heavy but then I wouldn’t expect a warm sleeping bag to be lightweight. I think it’s easy to get back in to the carrying bag and easy to machine wash.
My only bad points about this product: where the velcro strip is near the ‘neck’ of the sleeping bag – it often caught my hair. The straps on the sleeping bag holder are quite thin and can dig when you’re carrying them.
Was pleased with my new bag, kept me warm on a frosty September weekend camping! I’m a size 16 and 20 weeks pregnant, and it was a tight squeeze! But I was after warmth and I got it. Still slept in jumper and leggings and warm socks! Recommend for warmth.
Used this for my first festival, everyday people complained that it was to cold at night…. their nipples where to hard to relax.
I could not relate, as this luxurious creation kept me warm-hot in a cold damp tent. I can assure you that my nipples where soft as kittens fur.
Would not recommend any sleeping bag but this one.
However I haven’t tested it in anything like snow.
The conditions I had were in England…. in august…. while raining…. at night….. But I was still very warm at night.
This sleeping bag is great. The fabric is so silky. The bag is so warm. I took it away with me camping in June and it lived up to expectations. It is easy to get into and the zipper is well made. Great.
Sleeping bag good and comfortable, if heavy and bulky, but the compression bag needed sewing back together after a weeks use. There was a choice of left or right zipper, I received the wrong one with no time to change it. That is annoying.
Just received this sleeping bag and didn’t have high expectations because of the really low price but was unbelievably surprised this is probably the warmest most comfortable 4 season sleeping bag I’ve ever had and I’d recommend it to anyone. It is a steel at this price you’d be mad not to.
Just received this and can already tell I’m going to love it. I always wake up when camping in the UK, even when it’s been boiling hot, freezing at night.
So I ordered this bag which claims to be super warm. I’ve not slept in it yet, but have tried it indoors and my goodness it’s toasty! So cosy. Can’t wait to get outside in it.
Seems very well made. Will be recommending to friends and family for sure.
If you want something warm, look no further. If you want something for camping in a warner climate than the UK, I’d say this make is a good bet, but go thinner.
This is a season 4 thickness, so I guess a 2 or 3 would be better for those looking for something cooler.
If you want a sleeping bag to keep you warm then this is it, for backpacking it may be a bit to bulky but I would rather be warm and put up with the extra size. To get the same performance from a lighter and smaller pack size would probably cost a lot of money.
Fantastic sleeping bag. I bought three when on a daily deal as I had read amazing reviews and the bag did’nt dissapoint. The only problem I have is when the zip fouls up by getting caught in the material. I was was sweating buckets in this thing it’s so warm. Can’t recommend highly enough!!
Update, used it for last 4 nights in this Scottish summer, it was very comfortable, in fact the best nights sleep that I’ve had camping, so I would thoroughly recommend this sleeping bag.
Excellent, comfy and very warm. Good length if you are tall, only snag, the zip does tend to catch which can be annoying. Used it on the inca trail in Peru where temperatures do drop to 0, but it was nice and snug. Definitely recommend
I bought mine in August 2012 so that I had something suitable to sleep in during my climb up Mt. Kilimanjaro. The bag kept me warm and that ensured I had a good sleep every night while on the mountain.
Since then I haven’t really had a chance to make use of it – up until now where it was one of the first things I packed prior to my 2 year trip across Canada. I’m looking forward to using it again!
Oh my – now this is one warm and comfy sleeping bag. Do not hesitate. I used this in sub zero on a scouts and parents weekend. So glad I bought it! It is think, warm, comfortable and looks good. What more do you need from a sleeping bag?
Love it. Great for a chillly evening slouched on couch, watching TV, when u you wanna knock the heating off to save a few quid on fuel . Cat has practically made it her own too
Amazingly warm and very comfortable. I am often cold at night, and particularly on camp but this is wonderful. I haven’t tried it outdoors yet but I was in a very cold youth hostel in October but woke up sweating in this. I would highly recommend it.
I’ve only ever owned 2 and 3 season bags in the past and was apprehensive about how warm I was going to be in an affordable 4 season bag. I shouldn’t have worried, I was toasty warm all night and there was a light frost on the ground in the morning. I think I could go down to -3 in this bag with no real issues.
One word of caution – as advertised, the bag is rather bulky when packed so might not be ideal if space is at a premium, but for a warm comfortable night at this price I’m very pleased.
I bought this for a trip to climb Kilimanjaro over New Year. It was perfect- really warm and dried quickly when got damp from inside of tent. I also bought a liner for extra warmth but didn’t even need it. It is bulky and takes up more room than other sleeping bags but for the price I would definitely recommend this.
I ordered this sleeping bag for a family member sleeping in the living room over Christmas (he was visiting from Australia and not looking forward to the English winter). Bag arrived in good packing and in a compact bag for storage. Incredibly warm sleeping bag and very comfortable. No complaints from my brother at all!
Keeps me warm, alive and feeling well living in my student flat where the temperatures drop to 0 degrees, regardless of what anyone says this is excellent quality.
The only issue I have is that upon being fully zipped up the sleeping bag does not look like the picture, in fact it’s neigh impossible to zip it all the way up.
Just used for the first time as it’s starting to get a little cold and I overheated. Very warm, no frills sleeping bag. Certainly not the smallest when rolled up in its bag but that’s not a concern for me. Does the job perfectly.
I wasn’t expecting too much from this sleeping bag because it was so inexpensive. I bought it for a camping trip to watch the Belgian Grand Prix in late August so I didn’t need it to keep me warm perched on a mountain ledge or anything extreme. However, the weather wasn’t good, and this sleeping bag kept me warm as toast! Excellent.
excellent price for the quality supplied! only the fact it is rather narrow and very long but that is ok. Have not tried it under outdoor conditions as for possible emergency use;but it felt warm. Will be a good emergency bed for guest if well cushioned beneath. That is if they aren’t wide build!
Bought for my daughter for festivals. Put to the test for Reading this year and she was delighted. Very warm and no need for socks or underclothes which she has always had to do with other 350 all weather sleeping bags. Highly recommended
I took this to Kilimanjaro and done a very good job. My only problem was its size. It takes up a lot of room, especially when you’re trying to pack small.
Well what can I say It is fantastic! You get really worm before you do the zip up, the cotton lining just adds to the comfort of this bag. It packs up to 9 pint beer keg size, fits nicely into the bottom of my rucksack. for the price of this bag it is a very good buy!! With a bivvy bag, tent and a inflatable hiking roll-mat in really cold temperatures I would think you’ed be nice and worm.
Simple……if you need a sleeping bag buy this. I was hesitant from reading other reviews and was contemplating buying a season 2/3 bag as it was being used for a bit of ‘wild’ camping in august. Glad I bought this. It was 20deg during the day and it dropped to a record low of -2 that evening. I didn’t even notice. Got out of the tent to be met with the place frozen over. For the price this is a must buy. Quality is superb and you won’t be disappointed.
Perfect! Took to Kilimanjaro and couldn’t have asked for a better sleeping bag. I paired it with a silk liner and thermal underwear on the higher parts of the mountain but lower down the mountain it was perfect. So comfortable and didn’t have any problem with the zips or Velcro.
I used the sleeping bag for D of E and at a festival and I was over the moon with it! I wasn’t cold at all in fact I often found I was too hot! It is bulky but I feel that the warm and comfort it provides is worth the extra weight and size! Over all it is the best sleeping back I have had! Delivery was also very quick!
Incredibly warm, had to open the zip just to keep me from overheating. There’s a pull-string on the inside to really seal you in. The most impressive part was that even though I allowed the sleeping bag to get wet (oops) the inside stayed completely dry! I was expecting it to be sodden on the inside, but it remained warm and totally dry.
Size is great. I’m 6’1 with a slightly broad body and I fit just fine.
Comes with a compression sack which does help keep the width manageable.
4 stars because this sleeping bag doesn’t pack down to a small size. I still managed to stuff it inside my bag just fine, though, so no need to pack it on the outside.
I haven’t actually slept in it (I bought it for a homeless ‘rucksack’ project) and it seems to be fantastic. The lining has the feel of brushed cotton so should be really warm and snug. The foot box, again, seems to be excellent and I’m hopeful that this will keep someone warm and comfortable during cold weather. My main reason for writing is to mention the quality which, for the price, is superb.
Cant recommend this enough. The excellent reviews prompted me to spend a little extra and buy this sleeping bag. I am so glad I did. As outside temperatues plummeted to -5c I was snug as a bug in a rug. Those few extra pounds are well worth it, if you get cold because you didnt want to spend a little more you will regret it. I think we would gladly pay a little extra if it means we are warm and can get a good nights sleep
I bought this while I stayed over in my brothers derelict house the day before it was demolished, where we had a party which required removing all the doors and cutting several holes in all internal walls. It was drafty as hell and I could see my breath. However, I was so warm I had nothing on inside the sleeping bag. Toasty all night and I usually sleep with an electric blanket at home as I am prone to getting cold! The next night I used it again while sleeping in a friends heated house and again I was toasty but not too hot as I feared it would be. This is by far the best sleeping bag I have ever used, and I have had my fair share.
Having just finished a weekend bushcraft course (Nov 24th), sleeping under a tarp on the leaves in a wood using this sleeping bag, I was happily surprised that it kept me nice and warm. You can pay a fortune for 4 season sleeping bags, although I would only suggest doing that if you are regularly using a sleeping bag in harsh conditions.
If like me, you may sleep outdoors in the winter every now and again and don’t want to spend a fortune, then this bag works just fine.
For the price, I am very happy with this sleeping bag. I have only used it once, but it kept me warm and had enough space in it to move around when sleeping. Only gripe is the zipper can get a little bit stuck, and you have to persevere with it, but once you learn the knack, it’s fine. A very good sleeping bag.
As another reviewer mentioned, I also brought this sleeping bag up Mt Kilimanjaro. I felt warm the entire time when sleeping (temperatures as low as -5C) and the plushness of the bag was a treat when lying on a thin foam mat. If I started to get cold, then I’d put the hood part up. It packs away into its bag easily. The zipper tended to stick if the angle wasn’t quite right (minor frustration)and the packed bag is large (filled 2/3rds of a 60L backpack). All in all, good value for money.
I took this to Peru with me in Summer 2012 and spent many nights sleeping in classrooms in an Andean village, 4000m up. It kept me very warm and although I sometimes kept some clothes on to keep my body warm, the bag did its job of being a warm place in which to sleep. It can pack up quite tightly as well so I woulldn’t say its too bulky and awkward. Recommended. Can be used even in warm areas – the zip down the side can always be opened or it can simply be used as a duve
Bought this bag for my son for a Kilimanjari hike. He needed a 4+ Season bag, and although I’d like to have got him a down-filled one the cost was prohibitive. But this bag proved plenty warm enough, and at the price was extremely good value for money. Of course it’s a lot more voluminous and heavier than a down bag, not necessarily what you’d want to carry on a long hike in a backpack where size and weight might be more important. But it washes easily (unlike the down equivalent) and the bag and stuffsack seem robust. One part of the zip/bag seam came undone, needing a 15cm bit of manual stitching to repair, but overall we were very satisfied and I’d strongly recommend it for the price. It’s definitely more suitable for very low temperatres – you’d cook in it in in mild temperatures.
I have to say that this has been used several times now over the past month and i am very impressed with the results. The material and product is of very good quality and well put together. I have used in very cold weather conditions below 0 degrees celcius and have not noticed the temperature outside the sleeping bag even the slightest. In fact i woke and had to unzip the sleeping bag abit because it was getting too hot on one occassion. For the price you pay this is a really amazing bargain and it does exactly what it says on the tie.
Only downsides on this were the left hand zip which wasnt mentioned on the description (which wasn’t a huge problem) but the zip is abit stiff went trying to operate from the inside. So you have to put your hadn on the outside and pull it up or down.
I did alot of searching around as i needed a sleeping bag that could cope with very low temperatures and by far there is no other available that is this cheap and does such a great job.
I would definitely recommend this to serious hikers and campers for outdoor use in low temperatures.
As a scout I have owned a few sleeping bags in my time. This one is incredibly warm (in combo with a one man tent I was sweltering in February and had to unzip it) and very comfortable, two things I definitely want from a sleeping bag. The strapping inside is also fairly easy to use, being a million miles away from the contortion/bondage act that some manufacturers delight in torturing people with.
There are a few minor quality issues that I have though. First off is the stuff sack. On the first one I ordered the tensioning straps ripped off of the bottom before I even got it out of my house. Cue a return to Amazon and 2 days later I has a new one. This one managed to survive until the second day of a four day expedition before the same thing happened again.
Inside some of the stitching is a bit poor too and in one places has already begun to unravel. This has meant a few minor repairs.
In summary this is perfect as it is if you don’t want to condense it down (e.g. if you’re travelling in the car) but if it needs to go in a rucksack on an expedition I’d recommend getting a new Stuff Sack (they’re 6) or put it in a dry bag (which has the added advantage of keeping it dry in the rain/sleet/snow).
Very happy with the bags despite a long delay arriving in stock. Bought two and used for a week in North Wales in April seemed good quality. Very warm bag, wasn’t too difficult to get back in its storage bag afterwards. The only minor criticism would be that the zip is very fiddly and could easily be broken if you don’t take your time with it.
after two years of constant use my first Echo400 was all but irrecoverable, but it didn’t break at all and was incredibly warm, allowing me to sleep in wet colds as low as -37C! (with a fleece liner)
it is a bit bulky, it is a bit heavy, but it will work when wet and it will last even when abused. highly recommend.
Love this bag for my motorbike tours,i’m 6.3″ and have not problem fit in.Great value for money too.Recomending.And this bag is very warm,so highlinder self inflanting mat and this bag is great combination for my bike tours.
This is a really comfortably and warm mummy-style bag; easily sufficient for a good nights sleep at 0 degrees C. I wouldn’t recommend this for trekking/mountaineering as it’s just far too heavy and bulky to be any use, but for general camping it’s perfect.
Great quality and price only draw back is that it is slightly too small for my son who is 6ft.
Product description is wrong. Actual details are in the attached pictures. Will update review when I have a chance to test!
But for this price, I think it’s comfortable and warm enough.
ot used yet bought for grandson for overnight fishing trips with his dad but looks good and sons seems pleased with i
Slightly sceptical of minimum temperature limits but was pretty comfy at 0C.
Encountered some difficulties using the zipper. Very warm, great price.
This is an excellent sleeping bag, very soft, very warm. Seems to be well made.
It is however rather short. I’m 5’10” and found my toes folded over at the bottom trying to get the shoulder baffle around my shoulders!
All in all it worked out fine, but if you are anything over 5’10 then you’re going to struggle in this.
It is rather thick and bulky, though
got this for my son who camps all year round He used it on Saturday 28/01/2017 in snow and – 4 conditions He says its the warmest sleepimg bags he has used
. must be good
I tried this in my house and quickly got very uncomfortably hot.
I have now used this without a tent in the middle of a uk winter. It was warm.
For me, a philanderer and a cheat, who often has to escape situations and husbands quickly, this is an essential piece of kit.
Warm as hell, I have been using this in my campervan over winter its good for up to 0 degrees up until it gets cold. Its well made and easy to wash.
I am tall and skinny 6ft 5 (197cm) and 82kg (180lbs) and I can say its both long enough and warm enough with plenty or room!
I use a summer bag inside of this one for sub zero temperatures.
his sleeping bag very well made ,looks fine and very warm .
I used it this year wrc in wales I had the eco 350 the two other members of the party had their sleeping bags and cold night with their
sleeping bags great bit of ki
Very comfortable (if a little constricting around the legs)
Very warm
Doesn’t fold up as compactly as I would have hoped, not a big issue – expensive sleeping bags are more compact but this one is still very warm
Very warm!
I just slept in it tonight for the first time, I expected a bit less in weight but the quality is good, I slept nicely in it and it looks strong.
Warm and cosy but zip is a bit of a trouble
Really cosy. Inner lining feels very natural and cosy. My other sleeping bag was all nylon and sweaty but this is totally different. It keeps you warm without suffocating. Perfect for camping. My son took it for a week away and he is 6foot. He said it was perfect. Slightly bulkier to pack but that is the only downside and far outweighed by the comfort value!
Great build quality, good design although I hopped it had more padding to make it more comfortable on had floors, overall a great produc
Only downside is that the sleeping bags do not leave much wiggle room so if you are a little claustrophobic then I would not get one.
he most comfy sleeping bed ever. Just the stitching could have been better.
Massive, and hard to compressed. Takes a lot of space in bag.
Great bag but the case ripped easily. It’s very warm and comfortable.
Kept me extremely warm on Mount Kilimanjaro, a bit bulky though and the zip was a bit awkward. On the whole though, an excellent purchase
Very warm and long – good size for my 1.92m tall husband.
Zip could be better though – difficult to fasten.
Excellent quality for the price.
Cat has practically made it her own too
Just what I required – good solid item – really happy at the price.
Great purchase. I saw this in the camping shop for a lot more than i paid for it.
Very warm sleeping bag, the zip is not quite as smooth as an older cheaper sleeping bag but this may be down to needing more use.
after two years of constant use my first Echo400 was all but irrecoverable, but it didn’t break at all and was incredibly warm, allowing me to sleep in wet colds as low as -37C!
