I found that it removed wrinkles best when the clothing is either spread out on a hard surface or hanging on a clothes hanger and you make top to bottom motions.
I bought the populate one but after two of the sadly breaking I went with this and so far so good. It takes a limitless longer to develop steam, but it does the trick.
I love this steamer. No more ironing for me. I took it with me to my parents home over the holidays and my Mom tried it out and loved it. So Santa bought her one for Christmas.

It works well with shirts and smaller clothing. Does not work that well with thicker clothing like jackets.

I think it is a great product but not for all types of fabric. Heavier, or 100% cottons items need the weight of an iron. Especially pants, jeans, or work jackets will need good old fashion ironing.
