This drone is fantastic. It takes a little getting used to but overall great value for money. One time I flew it I thought I lost it but once it’s out of range it’ll fly back to its takeoff position which I thought was brilliant

The blades came loose and flew off during flight and crashed breaking the back leg. I tried to repair, still not as strong as new.
I got in touch with Holy stone and they were extremely helpful. Even though my hs720e was out of warranty they provided a new arm and blades. I wish other manufacturers were as helpful.
Bought one of these but crashed it into water on it’s 3rd flight. Seemed like a good drone, like anything it takes time to master. Liked it enough to get another one, hopefully I’ll have better luck with this one.
Very well packaged. Case is very impressive. It’s my first drone and after reading instructions it was very easy to get started with. I can not recommend this drone enough. I live by the sea and have flown it in a stiff breeze and it has been brilliant. Highly recommended
This is my first drone over 200.00 ,it was received promptly from Amazon .Set up was as easy as anything after following the instructions , the only problem I have found is with the recorded footage , it sometimes appears lumpy . I have changed the TF card to a Sandisc Pro class 10 U3 at 128gb and will monitor this . All in all it is a enjoyable machine to control with several processes of help built in , like RTH and auto takeoff and landing , also consider a landing mat, this will help keep your drone clean and improve your landing skills .. Battery recharge times are abit on the long side ..5 hrs !!
I have been considering buying a drone for sometime now and after some research decided in the hs720e. I am more than happy with the product for price ,quality ease of use and am looking forward to taking it out when walking the dogs or out with my grandsons.

This is the second Holy Stone Drone I have purchased, the first was HS710 great wee Drone (Still working well) I was looking for an Upgrade and was not disappointed with the HS 720E , great Drone for beginners or people looking to take drone flying to the next level.
Great value for your money and not paying over the odds for this drone that will impress you with all it’s fetchers.

Great drone for beginners. Easy to fly and control. Although I did crash it on my first flight due to going to high and anxiety kicked in. Lost control and hit a tree. Broke the battery as it fell out of the drone and smashed on concrete. Otherwise a great buy.
Customer service as well as the new hs 720e is a great drone both for beginners and for the more seasoned of pilots for me I’m happy flying around where I live I do not recommend flying in a built up area go practice in beginners mode follow the instructions and enjoy your drone if anything goes wrong speak with holystone customer services and they do their best to sort it out. They are second to none.
This is the second of these drones I’ve had as the first one had an issue but Holy Stone customer support was great and they got another drone straight out to me.
GPS is good and the automatic features are great.
Sometimes the drone does go a little barmy and starts circling but just take it if GPS mode and control manually until under control.
I would also recommend conducting the calibrations before each take off. This will avoid the drone losing control when in GOS mode.
All in all I am very happy with it.
I’m absolutely gutted. I chose this drone on the basis of the first page of reviews, which were all excellent. But 3 days on from receiving it I still cannot connect the app to the drone. After a little bit of research on these pages I see that this has been a problem for several years with literally dozens of complaints about this problem. The controller seems to work ok with connection and calibration etc., fine. But if one component doesn’t work then the whole thing is defective and I don’t want it. It’s going back. (That’s if I can find how to do that, because this return to amazon will be a first for me after being an Amazon customer for around 20 years.)
Update 10/04/2023: Today I received the promise of a refund from Holystone. The service I received from Holystone Customer Services was exceptional. Their response to my complaint was immediate with possible fixes to the problem. It is unfortunate that the drone I received had a fault but that can happen to any product. As the result of this great customer service I am uprating the product to 4 stars.
What a brilliant drone lots of fun and really good pictures and video from this’ what is called a budget drone but from what iv seen its far from acting like a budget drone. Had a slight problem with it the 3rd time I took it out cutting out ….got in contrite Holy Stone customer service and they couldn’t have been more helpful, really happy with drone and fantastic customer service from Holy Stone.
Well packed and good quality product. It’s a bit early to provide a detailed review as I am learning about the Drone. However, my early experience with it is excellent. I can highly recommend the Drone for quality and it looks like it will do everything I expected. I damaged two propellers on my first flight indoors but there were replacements in the package, which I was very please with, otherwise I would have had to order more. I the pictures/video I took were excellent quality too.

Bought this drone some time ago , but it hasnt dissapointed . Really easy to use and batteries last longer than some of the main brands of drones available. Build quality is good and its simply unbeatable for the price , highly recommended
You get a nice case, extra propellors, the drone itself in black/grey. A large manual, the controller, two batteries, a screwdriver and a usb-c charger. (minus the actual plug). Read the manual a little bit and stick the batteries on charge and take your time to get to know your drone. 5 hour charging time for the batteries x2 so you get around 45 mins of flight time under ideal conditions.
First important note, you are going to need a pilot id and drone license to use this drone, its over the weight limit for recreational drones. (250g is considered a toy drone). The license is a theory test and 20 mins of your time and 10 to complete with CAA online. Something I did not know until I purchased it. However the theory test is simply common sense rules and they even provide a pdf to help you pass the test. It really is a no brainer and shouldnt detract you from purchasing a drone of this weight class.
Second note: the battery charger is a terrible bit of plastic and some pins, I was quite shocked considering the quality of the drone itself. They put all the quality into the drone and skimped on the really shocking cheap charging unit. I mean it really is just pins and plastic. It does work however and you can charge two batteries at the same time, but I was quite suprised at the battery charger. Everything else smacks of quality including the really nice case.
Third note: This drone doesnt have a gimbal which means the camera can look forward and down, it does have image stabilisation however. Personally for your first drone, its perfectly adequate to get you started for photo and video usage on a basic to good level.
The drone itself is very well made, folds up nicely, and feels very rugged. It really does have a great build feel to it. Once you have unfolded the arms, its pretty nice to hold in the hand. You will need to calibrate and pair the drone and the controller, but you only have to pair the drone once. it has leds on the underside of the arms and It even has landing lights!
Once youve paired the drone for the first time, youll need to calibrate the drone, this is simple and explained in the manual, insert battery and your ready to fly. I would definately suggest giving your self some time to learning how to fly this thing. Take offs and landings can be performed automatically with a button. It has a low battery return to home option, gps, tap to fly options, follow me, orbit around point of interest. Some of these options youll need to use the app for. It also has other settings too, but I wont go into too much detail here. Taking pictures can be done with the app, and youll need a micro sd card for that as well. (not included). You can adjust the camera from the controller too.
I think for a beginner drone it has a lot of good stuff, its only let down by its cheap charger and long battery charging times. However its quite a nice looking drone. I have tested it for about 30 mins so far, but weather has gotten in the way of taking it up for longer periods.
I would give it a four out of five for the package overall. A great entry into the world of drones.
I must admit, having made a few drones and bought a few cheaper drones in the past, I thought I was an OK drone pilot.
For beginners, there are models with prop-guards and beginner modes that will help you in your drone journey.
This HS720E I bought does have a beginner mode , which is a good start. The battery flight time is great at around 23 minutes depending on how you fly it.
For a beginner, I would suggest getting some prop guards and keeping on beginner mode until you are aware how the drone acts – the remote control, along with the recommended app, keeps you informed of battery condition, GPS and calibration requirements.
Calibration is a must every time you fly and also when you change the main drone battery.
I would suggest being mindful if attempting to fly if the wind is likely to be present – check the many UAV location apps etc…
I thought I would try mine when there was a slight breeze which confused the drone and when I hit return to home flew past me and into a building.
The drone sustained significant damage but Holy Stone have been brilliant – within 24 hours after sending images of the damage I was advised that a replacement was on its way.
The collision was on a Friday – the replacement appeared on the Monday.
One very satisfied customer who is going to make sure that in the future that I have checked the forecast and that there are no buildings around whatsoever.
I had problems with my first HS720E, Holystone replaced it and I gave it a first flight yesterday. It went well & I am pleased with it. I find the remote a bit clumsy but it does the job.
Pictures were ok bearing in mind the poor lighting conditions. I am looking forward to putting it through its paces next month in the Lake District.
I have to say my experience with HS customer service was first class other companies could learn from them.
Bought this for a Christmas present. Great drone, pictures are great quality. Very sturdy, first time purchased a drone and this was very simple to use. After the 6th flight we had some fault issues, but I cannot fault Holystone customer service especially Isabella, a replacement has been sent out to us. The drone is great and we are really pleased with it, customer service 5 star. Thank you.

Tip: while selecting 1080/4k you must slide the 0-60 frame rate slider also..
(Till I did this I was doubting the specified quality)

UPDATE: Not even having the drone 1 week.
I’m sure I’d turned the GPS slider off but when the battery got low I can only assume a return to home procedure kicked in & the drone tried to return to a location I’d been to earlier, nothing in my haste could stop this & I watched it get stuck in the highest & oldest tree int park..
This was my experience.. that seems to chime with other 1* reviews.
Ok it didn’t do some of what was promised on the box but was fun while it lasted.
I might wave to it if I’m on the bus past the park

Was looking for an entry level drone capable of producing good quality video footage – the HS720E ticked a lot of boxes. Had some basic flight control issues with my HS720E and contacted Holystone Customer Support. Very quick response with helpful advice. Unable to resolve the issue, HS provided a replacement device. Exceptional customer service. Replacement drone has been faultless. Not yet explored the full range of functionality of the 720E, but good to know there’s a good customer support system in place, if I have any questions or issues.
The product Arrived on time in good condition and well wrapped, very excited to get the batteries on charge and get flying, so the product is strong not too difficult to set up just read the instructions carefully , i looked at many videos on You Tube also.
Not so much a criticism but you do need to registarthis particular drone , you will need a flyers I.D. also an Operaters I.D due to the fact of its weight, you can do this on line and its really not too difficult.
You are restricted as to where to fly this model due to the weight all is explained when you register with the CAA.
The 720E is a fantastic piece of kit for the money and a real good knowledge into Droneing, it is proably me but i have flown mine 15 times in the last 3 weeks i love it, although you need to be patient , remember unless your a pro at Drones , this model will test you, I really enjoy flying the 720E and sure if decide to buy you will too , Great Starter Drone for the young adult or older generation starting out.
Now looking to the 720G but a bit more practise first so Good Luck great Flying OH and the camera is very good .Remember read the Instructions.
I purchased my HS720E a little over a month ago. Although I’m reasonably happy with it, there is no way it’s a 4k camera, the image quality is not the clearest. Also the camera doesn’t seem that stable when moving around whilst in flight.
I was also having a few issues with it drifting when not touching the controls. HS customer support said to make sure I turn off mobile data on the phone and put in airplane mode. I’ve not tried this yet.
Having seen the image quality from my neighbours DJI mini 3 pro, that is so much better. Much clearer and stable video, like you see on TV programmes that use drones. However that is over twice the cost of the HS720E, so I guess you get what you pay for.
In summary, if you can afford a DJI, buy one!
Took some time to get it flying in the right direction! Not the most intuitive operating system, so play with first in a wide open space forgiving of errors! Once you’ve got that under your belt, the drone is incredibly responsive and the camera system is steady, clear, and absorbing.
(Am in my 60’s and never done “Gaming” Suspect a younger generation more used to joystick gaming controls will find this control system ludicrously obvious. For older users, unfamiliar, like me, be reassured that the touchscreen app on phone is simple, clear, and easy! )
If you have used a drone previously, you will most likely find the operation easy, I came straight to the Holystone, and struggled a bit to get it up and running, fortunately live near an extensive beach so didnt lose it when I got it wrong!
Customer support has been superb, answering quickly, (and respectfully) my “Old man” queries….

I’m new to the world of drones and so I spent some time researching the best make and model drone that my money could buy. I’m so glad I went with the Holystone 720E it has by far the best tech and overall spec you can get for a mid priced drone, it’s set up and initial pre flight check is so easy to learn you will be flying confidently very soon, the tech on board the 720E is amazing it has gps, one touch return to home and one touch take off and land, the camera with its electronic stabilisation is awesome and the controller is easy to use and very responsive, I would highly recommend this drone as a starter drone Holystone HS 720E amazing
Will randomly loose control caausing it to impact with the ground. All calibrations and good gps signal at time of the incident. No pattern to how it looses control can fly perfectly then will go into an controlled spin. Will update review after I hear back. After hearing back from customer services they couldn’t be any more helpful in sorting out my issues. Would recommend trying there products and they will do there upmost to help you.
I am very very satisfied for their services and I highly recommend them. Glad to be a part of their drone family!
Flight:
The drone is fast, activates by default in sports mode and is very responsive. I was massively disappointed to see it lose signal with the remote after 250 meters, even though the advertised distance is 999m and I was in an open field, no obstructions (see video recording).
Battery:
The charger is a bit fiddly, but gets the job done. The most astonishing thing about it is that it has two slots, since the drone ships with two batteries but charges them one at a time!! shocking, especially given that each one takes 5 hours to recharge. Scandalous; it’s worth buying several batteries and chargers if you intend to fly a lot; not a bad business model.
The remote control uses AA batteries, I find this to be cool because with other drones when you have to recharge the controllers, you’re done if it’s on low power and you’re in a field. There are usually no swappable batteries for the remote unlike those of the drone. So low power on remote usually means you have to go home even if you have lots of spare drone batteries. Also the AA are lasting longer.
Functions:
Even having used follow me on other drones, I struggled to activate this feature on this drone. The instruction manual is very brief on the topic. I have emailed support regarding this matter as the drone was simply not doing it even after I activated it on the screen. Orbit (point of interest) on the other hand worked beautifully but is designed to function differently from other drones as you set the orbit radius in advance in your settings.
The drone could also be more intuitive. It has 2 return home stages triggered by low power, one which limits the drone in the vicinity of home but lets you fly until the 2nd stage triggers a landing. If you don’t know this, it can be perplexing to understand why the drone refuses commands to fly out beyond a certain range.
This limitation of the range can also be triggered by flying the drone in beginner mode where you can set the radius it’s allowed to fly from home. Very handy when learning to fly.
Compass (geomagnetism) calibration is easy and unlike other drones, you only need to turn the drone not yourself so you don’t end up looking like a total ass in the field.
Photo and video:
I have uploaded these, with minimal editing. I have applied a summer filter which changes the warmth but otherwise the images are fairly representative of the resolution of the drone camera and stability of the video. I think it will do the job for my sports videos next time I’m in the alps.
Value for money:
I’m really happy with the purpose, despite a few glitches which I hope will be resolved soon. The drone is supplied with a carry case, which is of good construction and that’ is a major plus especially since I didn’t get one with my other drones. Also receiving 2 batteries is very nice.
The HS720E was my first drone and it did not disappoint. Easy to fly and figure out the controls after a few minutes of reading the manual to get to know how things operate.
The return to home functions are invaluable if you like to explore the limits of your capabilities and the camera is excellent.
Well worth it. An all-round great experience!
I had originally purchased a holystone HS110G as a birthday present for my daughter. For the price I was very impressed with the manoeuvrability and all around functionality of this lesser model drone. Only 4 weeks later my daughter and I am a flying it on a beach on the beach in West Wales when an unexpected gust of wind quickly take it out of you and due to the light weight I assume they returned home French was no good and ultimately lost at sea
This although was unfortunate gave me the galaxies to buy excuse to buy a much better version
I can honestly say it is one of the best bits of kit for the price that you can buy.
I had a malfunction which caused the the new drone to crash and unfortunately damaged me drone quite substantially
Customer services are the most help that you can ever ask for very quick in respone and have ordered a replacent
As you can see in the video attached the quality is crystal clear
I think my problem arose as my magnetic compass calibration was undertaken in the vicinity of a large iron railway bridge which caused the malfunction end the crash

Fitted right into my price range and had more spec than more expensive drones. Easy to learn and use, with superb end results.
This drone is really easy to set up and run for the first time. I am not a beginner to drones but I am also not an expert and I managed to get mine flying very quickly. There is no construction needed, you simply charge the drone batteries (there are 2, giving about 45 minutes flight between them). You add a couple of AA batteries to the controller and flip out the antennae and you are pretty much good to go.
****IMPORTANT INFORMATION****
Without the phone app you can fly the drone but you will struggle to do good filming and a lot of the advanced features will be locked out.
THE APP ONLY WORKS WITH WLAN 5Ghz ENABLED PHONES!!!! (or aka “dual band”)
Most phones will have this these days but if you have a cheaper or older phone you may only have the 2.8ghz WLAN which means your phone will not pick up the wifi signal the drone puts out and wont be able to connect. If you are unsure then google your phone specs and check the WLAN specification.

Its important to calibrate the drone before each flight, this takes about 30 seconds to do.
I also bought a 256gb SD card and when recording footage the drone can only manage a max file size of 2gb before the recording ends and a new one starts. This isnt the end of the world and is a fairly common issue when recording footage on phones and drones. I tried to format the SD card to NTFS (not exFAT) but then the drone didnt seem to recognise the card, I am still experimenting to see if its because the SD card is over the maximum recommended size. This isnt a really big issue but if you are worried your recordings are cut short its not an error its an issue with the way data is transferred onto the SD Card and there may be ways around it (or you just edit your separate clips together in an editor software).
So my drone did crash and break, Im unsure of the cause but seems like it may have lost GPS signal or suffered an engine malfunction, however I contacted the customer services email with images of the smashed drone and within 1 working day they had responded and within 2 working days they have arranged for a new drone to be sent, I was extremely impressed and despite the inconvenience of the drone crashing I would still not hesitate to recommend this drone and the company.
All in all a very nice drone and extremely helpful customer services (thanks Summer!)
After looking at all the options I went for this. Come with 2 batteries so enough time to have some lunchtime fun. Slow battery charging is the only problem.
The drone is fairly easy to fly if correct set up procedures are followed.
Has a lot of features helpful for beginner flyers.
I would advise anyone buying a drone to spend time practicing and learning the set up and controls in a large open space (unless an experienced drone flyer)

Took me a few goes to get use to the Drone as it was my first purchase of one. Pure excitement every time I fly now. Customer service was very helpful to as they replaced a faulty battery straight away. Top Drone and Customer Service.
Unfortunately my drone had a GPS fault which resulted in it crashing. I contacted holy stone with the footage and info and they couldn’t of been more helpful. Their customer service is the best I have ever dealt with and they go above and beyond. I have a new drone being sent to me so fingers crossed for this one but I would highly recommend HS products, you won’t find better technical support.
Mine product was faulty, but that been said the have replaced the faulty one ive already have one that I bought last year and wow mind blowing easy to use .Great range battery life if really good 46 min on 2 batteries so 23 min fly time each I cant fault it and same for customer suppo
I’m new to the drone world so needed a drone that was easy to understand and steady in flight but affordable as a training drone. We’ll this fits the bill, the remote control is easy to use and simple to set up even holds your smart phone. The drone is sturdy and steady in flight with good response, easy to fold up and comes with a quality bag to keep it all in. As a newbe to flying the return to home and auto take off and landing is a great asset and GPS as well so it comes back to where it left from.
The only disadvantage is the charging time at five hours. I did have to contact Customer Services Europe with a battery issue which they solved within a very quick responce time indeed.
If you are looking for a quality product that is value for money then this is the drone for you.
This drone is fantastic value for money and is easily flown by beginners. I had owned the drone for a while without any issues but unfortunately it developed a fault. I contacted the HS customer service and they replied promptly to my enquiry. Nothing was to much trouble for them and they quickly assisted me resolving the fault by replacing the drone without question. Bought this drone to capture amazing moments whilst on our lovely walks, drone as proved brilliant for what we wanted.
Unfortunately I had a bad experience with this drone. Mine hade a few flight issues. However the customer service was first class. They were easy to contact and replied quickly to emails. They offered to replace the drone for a new one without me even asking. The build quality is very good indeed and the drone looks great. If this drone meets your requirements then buy with confidence, I doubt that you will be disappointed.

Purchased this because of gps return to home and decent camera,all together a good quality package.Had a problem connecting to drones wifi but after contacting customer services found tha my android phone did not have up to date wifi spec…..problem solved.Customer services were extreemly helpful and understanding….would recommend product and the company.
Love this little quadcopter/drone. Very controllable (especially when in beginner mode), but take it out of this mode, and you can modify height, distance, etc. There are 2 speeds; low is handy for 1st or 2nd flight, then switch to high for more responsiveness. I’ve only flown it 8 times so far, but i’m getting more confident every time. The camera video seems excellent to me although i’m no expert.
The only downsides are the very long charging time( 5-7 per battery), and they charge one at a time. 10-14 hours to charge both batteries. There’s also no way to put the batteries into storage mode.
Still, so far i’m happy with my purchase
One of the propellers suddenly stopped spinning on take off causing the drone to flip mid air and crash. Very disappointing.

I returned the drone via UPS returns and one of the customer service representative contacted me asking what the issue is and id did not take a lot of question and time for them to replace my drone. I was planning to refund my previous purchase and buy a new one but they managed to send the new ones to me at no additional costs (shout out to Brenda and Fiona, thank you for your oustanding assistance)
about the drone itself, it is a very decent drone for its price, the EIS technology really does its job and even if it doesnt have a 2 axis gimbal like the 720g it still produces a pristine shots from mid air. the only thing the this drone needs or probably Holystone might create a completely different level of drone is the obstacle avoidance and a bit smoother landing. But what I have done is i bought a set of propeller guards and landing gear to prolong the lifespan of the drone and minimise collision damage.
Overall, I could not recommend any drone for this price point but 720g or 720e.
I have never used a Drone before. The Holy Stone HS720E was highly recommended online and is backed up with several informative online videos. The fact that it uses a Sony Sensor, has an Electric Image Stabilizer and a 4K camera influenced my decision to purchase this Drone.
An excellent carry case included everything as described online, a second battery and a well written and understandable Instruction manual.
After charging the batteries for 5 hours I had a very successful 1st flight and was very impressed by both the stills and the movies I took using this Drone.

Cannot fault customer services, very helpful with issues I was having with return home function and camera. I was given a list of tests to run through to diagnose the proplem. I was sent a replacement as the camera issue with the tilt/gimbal could not be resolved. Since receiving the replacement I have tested and cannot fault the drone. Great for beginners not wanting to spend to much and also don’t want a cheaper model. Easy to learn easy to fly and good camera for pictures. I have yet to record when I add a memory card to the drone

First impressions were good looks great and easy to set up and pair with phone. after reading instructions and understanding all the controls i ventured out for my first flight. I was keeping it close making sure i had control and was building confidence in the drone. the first thing i noticed was that the camera tilt function does not work so was not able to get the aerial pictures i wanted. when i had decided to bring it back i pushed the ‘Return Home’ button, the drone went absolutely crazy spiralling around in circles eventually crashing into a oak tree and dropping to the ground
Very easy to pick up, gives you great satisfaction flying this drone. I didn’t think I’d like it as much as I do.

Very quick delivery. I sadly had a crash and reported it to Holystone. Within one day they said they would replace a rota assembly. They needn’t have done that, it was my fault. Well done team highly recommend Holystone. I just need to get my act together and learn to fly properly.
The packaging for is top quality and very impressive from the external box to the case drone case. All products fit nice and firmly within the case which gives confidence that nothing will rattle about during transporting it. The drone itself feels a very good build quality. As this is my first drone I didn’t know quite what to expect but hand on heart I’m extremely pleased with this purchase. The instructions are easy to follow and again, the build quality feels goo and looks good. The video and picture quality is excellent and there are so many features that all work as described. If I have any complaints it would be 2 simple moans, those being that remote does not come with the 2 AA batteries required to power it but that is by no means the end of the world. The second being, I have the Iphone 11 pro max and I need to take it out of the case for it to fit properly in to the remote phone holder but again, not the end of the world. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending the HS 720E as a good, correction, excellent drone for beginners. I couldn’t comment on how this would be rated by an expert, commercial drone flier because as I said, this is my first drone and cannot be happier.
what you get for your money – in all price brackets.
There are some pretty selfish reviews here by the guys who brag about usually flying
3K drones. Its quite obvious that this will not be as good, and all these
reviews really say is “Ha! you cant afford what I’ve got !”
Point being, if you have a 3K drone then the camera is probably 700 alone,
your not going to get that here.
If you want a commercial drone then it really has to make money for you to be any
more interesting than this one.
What you are getting here is a very impressive, extremely well made and brilliant
value drone. I settled with this drone after returning two other models.
I wanted something that would take decent video, use GPS and have a good flight time.
I started at 175 – Good drone but poor unstable video (basically an expensive toy)
At 250 things improved but shaky video still a problem.
This one, at just under 300, proved it’s self within 5 minuets of the first flight.
Great video and very stable flight.
I won’t bother listing all the features and functions as it’s been done allot here.
All I would mention as a tip is that sometimes the drone refuses to take off if
placed directly on grass, this is because of a poor GPS signal. It will fly if you
turn GPS off on take off and immediately re- enable when in the air.
I use a carpet tile as a launch pad which sorts the problem out nicely.
Another word of caution is that it won’t avoid obstacles by it’s self, so be careful to set the ‘return home’
and ‘follow me’ function to a suitable altitude.
I recommend turning off ‘beginner mode’ when you’ve have a bit of practice – then start using the “clever functions”
All in all this is and very nice drone – I’m very happy.
It’s in a different league to the under 200 models available!
Tip – Steady video is basically a combination of the image stabilisation system and your ability as
a pilot – Footage I’ve posted is of my second flight (I’m no master yet).

I bought a HS260 and cant really fly it as I’m only a beginner. So I bought the HS720e as it has GPS. What a difference from the beginners point of view! It’s so easy to fly! Even in slight breeze! Has a great fly time, especially with the 2 batteries provided, and the camera is great too. The only thing I would change is the battery charge time. 5 hours per battery! That is ridiculous! The build quality is great though and the case to carry it and protect it is superb. I’m very happy with this purchase.
I had been looking at a new drone for some time and this one met all my expectations. It was heavier than i expected, which only adds to the stable flying when using 4k video. Range is superb with the added protaction of return to jome feature when it loses signal. I managed to get mine to fly just over 1km before the signal dropped out and it automatically returned to home. Lovely clear pictures/video with long battery life.Great for novices and experienced flyers. My only issue is i am unable to send video/photos directly from my phone as the storage seems to be within the app to view. Other than that, has some great features that are present in far more expensive drones avaliable on the market, but at a much cheaper cost with no skimping on quality of materials.
Great drone a bit more than I wanted to pay, but an improvement on my last one. I previously had the HOLY STONE HS110D which was very light and battled with the wind & eventually after less than a month one of the propellers seized in flight and the drone came crashing down (I’ve sent it back & I’m waiting on a refund). The HS720E doesn’t suffer with the wind so much and is pretty stable. Video quality is excellent. (make sure you get a class10 SD card though if you want the best quality). RTH works really well. Haven’t tried follow me or Point of interest yet. Batteries take a long time to charge. (5-6 Hours and only give +- 22min depending on the conditions). Highly recommended for beginners or semi pros
Bought this drone after a lot of research I didn’t want a complete child’s toy but neither did I want to spend a fortune on a fully professional quadcopter.
I needed something robust and quality with a good camera to video around our farm, and also take video of coastal views from exciting angles
This drone fits the bill 100% it’s quite heavy and extremely well built.
The video image is superb as are the multitude of features.
I have flown RC helicopters and found this drone refreshingly simple to operate, it truly can fly itself !!
As long as you take time to read and watch the video reviews on YouTube this HS720e really flies with minimal input has numerous return to base features to avoid losing it in long grass etc !
I bought a second battery as I know from experience how thirsty RC devices are this one isn’t bad but to enjoy an afternoon flying you’ll need a few charged batteries which came as no surprise really.
I’ve not used it for a long time since buying due to the lockdown and other things getting in the way but now I’ve given it some airtime I’ll be adding to my photography collection

Like so many of the reveiws posted for this drone my experience started off positive. Very easy to set up and pair the ophilia go app. First couple of flights were great with some great footage filmed. Put it away after around 6 flights and left for around 3 months. Got it out yesterday fully charged overnight then proceeded to go through all pre flight checks. Once I was happy these were done I went for my first flight in the back garden. All was great for about 10 minutes then I pressed the return home button !!!!! The drone then took off to the set altitude to return home then suddenly started flying around in a circle of about 50 metres at full speed. It was totally uncontrollable !! It was by extreme luck that I managed to get it back under control and crash land in the garden. Luckily it didn’t damage or hurt anyone close buy. Load of rubbish for 260.
Update. Holystone contacted me off the back of this review, they offered to send me a whole new drone and even said I could keep the other one for spare parts.
NOW THERES SOMETHING THAT NEVER HAPPENS. Drone arrived and I charged up all four batteries to take it out for a flight. What a great day I’ve had with this fantastic weather. Drone flew faultlessly through every battery. Fighting for around an hour. Got some great footage. Must have been a glitch with the original drone, but time will tell.

This Holystone drone was purchased as a gift for a novice flyer, and really was staightforward to get to grips with in learning to use. Excellent pictures, and whilst we initially had some problems with some aspects of manoeverability, the customer support team were very prompt in checking these out for us..
So much so, that when it was clear it might be the machine rather than our skills, they organised a replacement…well what more could one ask for?! Definitely would recommend them when investing in what is a wonderful way to capture memories as well as have fun flying them!
I bought this drone after a lot of time searching and reviewing the internet for customer experiences of this particular model….and I’m really pleased with my purchase. Holystone are in my opinion the best manufacturers of these drones. The 720E is an absolute dream to fly. It’s simple to set up, extremely good quality and produces really good photos and videos. The functions that it has are great – returning home when signal is lost is amazing, and extremely accurate; follow me does just that!; orbit flight is perfect for my needs as I wanted to film architectural landmarks and this is superb.
I’m a complete newcomer and have never flown a drone before but this was easy! Yes, I’ve crashed it a couple of times (my fault!) but it hasn’t broken, the build quality is great and it’s really robust. On the one occasion when I thought I’d lost it by flying out of range my first thoughts were….”I’ll buy another one”……but it flew itself back to the home GPS point where it took off!! Fantastic bit of kit, would recommend to anyone. I’m looking forward to the next models that Holystone introduce because I will be buying them. Great product and well worth the initial cost.
The item arrived very quick and is well packed. The quality of all the items is very good. Although on the high end of a budget drone it is well worth paying the extra for the more advanced features you get. The video and photos are very good. As this is my first drone just used it tentatively in the back garden so looking forward to taking it out in the open space. Have also added some blade protectors for use in confined areas until I get more experience flying the drone. Very happy so far with the quality and ease of setup of the unit and the quality of the video and photos taken so far.
Took a gamble & splashed the cash for this drone & don’t regret it at all. I am a novice first time drone flyer & had a great experience learning & pretty much mastering the controls within 20 minutes. The drone responds superbly to my controls & the features like Return to Home & Follow Me are a fantastic addition easing the worry of losing sight of the drone. 4K video is simply stunning & shake free & connection to my iPhone for viewing has not failed me while in range. I would advise buying plenty of spare propeller blades as they do seem to scuff quite easily but you do get spares supplied in the box! The drone itself is very robust & looks top quality! It comes in a superb carry case for all your bits & bobs. Plenty of battery life so you will have lots of flying time with the 2 supplied! Make sure you register with the CAA for a flyer & operators licence so you won’t get into trouble with the filth & properly label the drone with your operator details.
In general, I highly recommend this if you are new to flying drones as it is packed with everything you need to get you hooked!
This is the 1st drone that I have purchased. 1st impressions were very good. Well packaged and came in a nice storage case. Everything was very easy to set up. As a Newby to flying a drone I was very impressed with the beginners setting on the app which didn’t allow me to do stupid things with it. I found it was extremely easy to take off flight and land. As I said I have never flown one before and was surprised how easy this was. The only negative I have found with it was, as a lot of others have put, is the length of time to recharge the batteries. This is no consequence to me as I am happy for them to recharge overnight. We’re looking at other types of drones for sale I found this one to be excellent value for money and they were very good YouTube videos showing how to use it and fly it. Would highly recommend.
The customer service for holystone are out of this world. They respond and are so helpful. They help me with any problems and are always willing to help, Excellent drone. Forget Dji when u have Holystone for these prices. Price friendly n the features all work. This drone is amazing. I fully recommend. This competes with the dji mini. Get it n u won’t be disappointed. I could say so much more but I will leave it for you to experience yourself. I so hope holystone are planning on making more drones. Holystone make a good drone, Dji say bye!

The camera has electronic stabilisation and 4K video. The drone comes with 2 batteries giving you a total of 46 minutes flight time.
I had a technical issue so contacted customer services and I have to say they were the best service I have ever contacted. A brand new drone was offered as replacement at no additional cost.
I can not recommend Holystone HS720E highly enough. I look forward many hours of enjoyable flight time.
The first thing to mention, before even flying the drone, is that it comes with a very nice case, which holds everything neatly and safely inside… and two batteries which is great. The drone itself has a solid and well-made feel. The instructions are very clear, and once the batteries were fully charged and the drone calibrated (again, very easy), the drone was in the air in no time. A single-button take-off and landing makes this part very easy, and I was surprised just how easy the drone was to control from there, even for a beginner. Let go of the control sticks, and the drone just hovers still, in a constant position and constant height. And the best feature of all is the “return home” feature, which works like a charm… it remembers where you took off from, so when the drone is far away (and perhaps you’ve lost sight of it temporarily or fear that you’ve lost control), a single button press and the drone comes right back to you, regardless of where it is! On one “return home” occasion the drone landed right back perfectly on the centre cross of the landing pad, without any manual intervention! Highly recommended!
Despite setting drone up as per instructions it had a mind of its own on second flight & ended up crashing into next doors garden, just missing her kids!
Everything on the remote control & FPV display were normal then suddenly the drone veird off and did its own thing, not responding to any remote controls or FPV controls. After about 50 seconds it crash landed. (good job as I had no control over it)! A full refund has been obtained via Amazon.

Holystone have provided me with a replacement drone FOC. I have now tested this drone several times and it performs very well. Perhaps my original drone was a dudd.
The drone is well presented and comes with a lovely carry case. Easy to set up but that said, it paired easily with the remote but despite all my best endeavours, including Google, YouTube and several drone forums, I have not managed to pair it with my mobile phone, which is one of the latest 5g models. Will be contacting Holystone direct for their technical assistance.
I gave my husband the HS720E for Christmas and he absolutely loves it! He says read “ALL” the instructions before your first flight and don’t try and fly it without gaining all the knowledge and tools necessary to do so. He made the mistake of trying to fly it inside before reading all the necessary instructions and damaged the blades when it took itself around the kitchen!
“HOWEVER” after make that one silly human error he read all the instructions and took it outside the following morning. It’s easy to use once you calibrate it properly and make sure you have at least 6 satellites located before flight. Just as important any extras such as blades/ landing pads and other accessories are easily ordered and the customer service is great. He is more than very happy with the drone and gives it a 10* rating.
What a fantastic drone for the money . Our kit came with drone 2 batteries charger and controller. With 2 batteries we get around 45 min flying time.
Drone was easy to set up out of the carry case. Starts in beginner mode to help you get used to controls.
Picture is great quality when taking stills or video.
Return to home function when battery low is super useful.
Had a little crash and had to speak to manufactures , Claude helped and resolved issue straight away.
Great product with great support .

Set up was straightforward and soon I had mastered the controls. I would definitely recommend this drone as it seems to be packed with all the features you need for successful flying. For the price it’s unbeatable.
Amazing drone, which flies very well, and also takes brilliant videos/photos.
You can really fly this about for quite some distance, and you can get some great looking shots, holds up against brands like Dji for the price point. – It can handle UK weather conditions very well and the drone flies very smooth.
The controller and phone mount feels very ergonomic and functional.
Unfortunately with my drone I did encounter a rare malfunction whilst flying the drone causing a crash, however the Support team at Holy Stone confirmed they would be sending me a replacement within hours or the issue occurring. – Best service I have ever received.

I am very pleased with the drone. I have had it 6 weeks and very easy to fly plus a very good app.
Unfortunately after flying this week the drone became unresponsive and it was lost.
I contacted Holystone who after 2 emails agreed to replace the product and it arrived two days later
I’m not sure what went wrong with the drone but the service offered has been excellent and on this basis plus my early experience means I would recommend.
In short they could not do enough for me and still contact me to make sure all is ok
5 star product plus 5 star service makes this an easy recommendation for me
