don’t not buy from this company.terrible customer support.1st thing battery charger did not work.they ask fir a good review and they would send another.which they did.2nd thing the drone will not turn left or right properly.also has taken a mind of its own then dropped to ground.could have been some one ones head.3rd thing propellers would not switch of result cutting my finger.i was promised a new drone 14 days ago.which they said would take 3/6 days.tonite i received email today my parcel was in transit.after reading what was being sent is a spare parts pack.for a drone that does not work properly.holystone I have email saying you would replace unit.also you said you sent it 10 days ago.the tracking you sent me clearly says you only sent it today.not a great drone not a great company.amazon you need to sort these sellers out.people are being conned not enough transparency.

Had to return mine as it suffered from a common issue of flying off i to the sunset on its own!
Quite a few flights went incredible well! The build quality is awesome, its flies great, hovers accurately over one slot, and returns to home less than a foot from where it took off! Can even do things my dji mini 2 cant. Fantastic camera, recording and image quality is amazing. I fell in love with this drone despite users on the HS forum saying its not a matter of ‘if’ it fails, its a matter of ‘when’
But, it did fail epically, i was lucky to get it back TWICE!
Long story short, despite going the the compass gps calibration, and doing everything you should to ensure a safe flight – it remains unstable, unpredictable and dangerous. Its not a drone you would want to risk taking somewhere you couldnt walk for a few 100 meters to retrieve when it goes rogue. Like a mountainside for instance. It loses control and flies off, no matter what built in safety retrieve functions you press to get it to return to home. It ignores all input from the controller and flies off. In my case into a forest 300m away.
I asked for refund, which is such a shame as on the surface appears to be an amazing drone for the price. If HS sorted that issue out, it would be incredible.

My 14 year old purchased this drone, we looked at lots of different ones but chose this one and he’s really glad with the choice. Its easy to use and the picture quality is very good. Would definitely recommend this drone for a beginner. We were really pleased as to how stable it was even in slightly windy conditions.
Although the drone is compact in size you do need to Register your drone and take the CAA’s theory test and get a flyer ID which cost 9 and lasts 5 years.
The 4K camera is amazing with the Sony Electric Image Stabilization which makes your video look fantastic even in breezy conditions, at this point I haven’t flown in the wind but I feel it will work no problems, pictures are crisp bright and excellent quality. The memory card holder is well placed and out of the way, I’ve fitted a 128GB micro SD which can store all your favorite videos and photos recording for a good 45 total only taking up a third or so of the memory leaving plenty of space for another day.
With a quality case I can’t praise this drone enough although I’ve only had it a short time.

Original review: Save your money, probably best to invest in a better drone. The thing with this drone is that it fits in the range of value drones. I am an amateur flyer and my first flight was ok, had beginner mode on so it didn’t fly too far from me but manoeuvring it was a bit difficult. It was a bit windy but it stabilised alright. Second flight, less wind but fairly the same result. Third flight is where it all went wrong, not sure what the issue was. I set up everything correctly, took off and it literally had a mind of it’s own. It went into a tree and luckily it dropped for me to try again. Took off for the second time, it literally flew away and then went around some trees and that was the last time I saw it. I think it got stuck in a tree somewhere. The feed lost connection and RTH didn’t work, it never came home. I definitely did not do anything wrong, it just went haywire. This was probably a software issue from the looks of it and when reading through the comments, it seems like a common issue. Here I am sharing my experience, avoid at all cost.
Great drone for the price. As a relatively new drone flyer, I have found that the 720E is easy to get used to flying, it has several different functions built in like having one key take off ( the drone will take off and hover awaiting your instructios) and one key return home button that will return the drone back to its take off point. There are other functions available which I have not mastered yet but I’m having a great time trying them out. The picture and video quality are spot on. I have recently had cause to contact customer support at Holystone, they responded within a few hours and within 24 hours everything was sorted. To sum up, a great product with great customer support.

I wish it had a microphone but mainly I’ve had a bit of trouble with mine yesterday.
It usually always returns when the battery is low but this time for some reason it just landed wherever it was above! It’s a good job I was on the beach & not 300ft over anywhere else! Also, only had this problem once but when I changed batteries to continue flying, it took 10-15 minutes to connect to the WiFi as for some reason it couldn’t authenticate the connection?! Maybe as lucky as I am I just got a bit of a dodgy one, especially with it not returning 1 time yesterday! overall though I absolutely love it!! I hope amazon sees this and replies. I have attached a picture of the wifi issue and 1 of where it randomly landed on the beach. You may be able to tell it sort of just plonked itself down which is kinda worrying
This is probably one of the best drones in the mid price range. Picture quality is good, stability and manoeuverability particularly in strong breezes, is on par with much higher priced drones. So far this drone has out performed any drone I’ve owned. Dont take my word for it, there’s loads of good reviews on You Tube for this product, watch them and make your own mind up. By the way, my neighbour was so impressed with my drone, he went out and bought one as well! Can’t get a better recommendation than that can you?
Because of this, I ordered an MS510 (which I am sure is a good drone too). While I was waiting for the MS510 to be despatched, the HS720E became available on Amazon again, so I cancelled the MS510 order and ordered the HS720E.
The drone arrived very quickly (one day faster than promised) and is great value with its two batteries and carry case being included.
Unpacking the drone I was impressed by the quality and solid feel – it feels a lot like the DJS Maverick models in terms of quality.
The drone has great features – the only one that is missing is obstacle avoidance. It also has very good battery life with 23 mins flying time (it would just be great if the batteries would charge in less than the current 5 hours)
Everything is very compact, and all fits into the carrying case provided – easily small and light enough to take on trips.
As the drone is over 250g, in the UK you need to get an Operators ID and a Flyer ID – which means taking a pretty easy 40 question multi-choice test.
Set up of the drone is easy – just follow the written instructions in the manual provided (or watch one of the numerous YouTube videos on the subject)
Remember to take the foam collar off of each battery (see photo) and keep these for later when you transport the drone with one of the batteries in it in the carry case.
Also, make sure to follow the instructions for the smart phone holder on the controller (or your phone won’t be held securely)
The quality of the photos and video from the drone is excellent – remember to buy a good quality micro SDHC card (probably 32GB or above), but these are pretty cheap now.
The drone is very stable in flight (check you have satellites acquired before taking off) and battery life is excellent.
All in all, an excellent drone at a very good price. Highly recommended.
I’m very happy with quality of the product. Unfortunately that drone was not safe to me. Im presume some manufacture issues. Why 5 stars ?. Becouse this product is well made I cannot denied. I have to buy products from different company.Flying and application and safe option need to be changed.
Overall to be honest great value for money and quality is good, but isn’t working for me. This product should have software upgrade and update and additional guard protection for thi spinig propeller.Thats all
In the end I went for the HS720e, although a little more than I intended to spend it had all features I needed. Brushless motors and the 4K camera with stabilisation were most important to me as I wanted to use the drone to take clear photographs and also could stand up to some wind.
Set up was simple and the App was easy to use. I was using an iPhone 12 Pro and although slightly large on the phone holder all controls on the remote were accessible
My first few flights were a little nervy as I decided I could not wait for a perfectly still day !
I found the drone to be responsive and stable in winds of about 10-15 mph, however the gusts made it rock a bit. All in all, it did well, and I was able to take a couple of steady pictures. Flight time was around 20 minutes on the one battery and the spare provided increases this to a good 40 minutes plus.
One last thing is that in the UK under CAA regulations the drone is not a toy and in Class C1 (250-500g) and so the operator and the flyer need to register and pass an exam. This should not put anyone off and is a simple process. First familiarisation with the rules then a multiple choice exam and finally registration with an annual fee of 9.

I’ve tried my best to give this drone a chance. Over and over again but it is so consistent I wish I never bought it and had just saved for a better drone. The controls drop out during flight, it randomly disconnects and and moves without touching the controller. My sons 100 drone is better to fly and is more consistent!
Having tried a few different “toy” drones {crashing or losing most} over the years i can’t explain how amazed i am with this drone. So easy to fly and control, within minutes of unboxing it i had the confidence to fly it out of site and take pics/film. Everything worked perfectly, it even comes back when it gets out of range and lands inches from where it took off. A little bit of a setting up to do on unboxing but easy to follow instructions and loads of videos on you tube, glad i spent the money and would highly recommend. Ma
My first drone and I really think I’ve made a cracking choice. I looked at loads of them but kept coming back to this one and I’m glad I did because I honestly love it.
The pics I’ve uploaded won’t do it any justice as they’ll probably be compressed while uploading to Amazon but if you’re looking to get into this as a hobby then I’d definitely recommend!
Came packaged great too and I love the carry case, stores everything perfectly and isn’t heavy to carry with you when you go literally everywhere looking for something to record…. Which I gaurantee you will do!
Because this was my first Drone it took a while deciding which Drone to buy . My criteria was price , camera and how easy the drone was to use (Being a bit older), the Holy Stone ticked these boxes . At take off it hovers nicely , this lets me get ready to fly . The video/picture Images are superb .
A couple months later I was flying my Drone along a tree line and a sudden gust of wind blew the Drone into a branch causing the drone to drop ,unfortunately it landing on a tarred surface . I knew it wasn’t good ,it landed on the Propeller Rotor Arm damaging the part (i was absolutely Gutted ). So I wrote to Holy Stone and explained what had happened to see if they could recommend a way to fix my problem . The Staff at Holy Stone was amazing , understood my problem and was extremely helpful (This is why I decided to write a report about Holy Sone and my Great outcome) .After a couple of emails they asked me if I wanted a Replacement Drone , you betcha . Having owned a drone a couple of years ago that I was forever trying to find as it just used to fly off and do its own thing I decided to have another go, I saw the holy stone hs720e advertised, read the reviews and decided for the money this was the one for me,, I am not disappointed,, this drone is brilliant for beginners or anyone experienced in flying them, it just does so much, the technology has improved in the last few years no end which makes the flying experience of this drone fun, involving and relaxing, after all the last thing you want to be doing is trying to find it for hours on end, this drone comes back, if it strays too far just push the return home button give it a minute or two and it appears, it will even land itself thanks to the inbuilt gps. It is so easy to operate, very well constructed, and folds up neatly into its own carry case, what is not to like, even the camera/video footage is really clear and thanks to its anti vibration wizardry is steady as a rock even when windy. 2 batteries are supplied which last around 25 minutes each, so that’s nearly 1hour if flight time, they do take a while to charge tho but you can buy spare batteries if required. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to buy a drone, beginner or experienced. Nice one holy stone.
Easy to control, in no time at all I had switched off “beginners mode” on the app and was using “fast” speed setting.
Battery life could be better if I was to be honest – I’m glad there was two batteries in the package. Download the FPV app (QR code in user manual) and there is an offer to receive a 3rd battery for free (link at the top of the gallery section).
Good features include a ‘low battery level return to home’ mode where if the battery power drops to 1 bar, it automatically returns to you and lands more or less where it took off from (tested and works). Another is ‘loss of signal return to home’ where if it is flown out of the transmitter range it automatically returns to home too (not tested that one yet – not brave enough to).
One slightly negative aspect of the camera though. Although there is image stabilisation technology to dampen out camera shake, which works well, it is not a ‘steady cam’. When moving from a hover to cruising, the drone needs to tilt. The camera does not maintain the horizon. It tilts with the drone too. Perhaps this ‘steady cam’ feature might be present on more expensive types. (?).
All comes in a handy carrying case which has room for additional items such as an old mobile phone I have dedicated for drone use plus a power bank for it.
I can’t say I am experienced with drones but I can recommend this one as easy to operate.
Purchased this fantastic little drone to get some amazing angles, photos and footage to add to my walks and mountain hikes. Really easy to use. Battery is about what it says its capacity is. Easy to learn how to fly. Do suggest watching a few youtube videos if you were a little worried at first like myself.
Overall I cannot fault this little drone as a starting out one. Obviously I will move to something more advanced in the future. But this packs away neatly in my hiking gear and does the job I want. Also the customer service team are great and answering any queries you may have!! Great job HS Team.
Amazing piece of tech with very responsive controller and more than acceptable battery life. After some crash landing and heavy head-on collisions (yeah, my bad) it kept working as if nothing happened.
The “phone holder” feature is far from optimal and may require some adjustment depending on your phone. Camera saturation is a bit low when exposed to high contrast scenes, but nothing that some post-processing cannot fix. Camera stabilization works fine when facing forward, but control quality degrades if you keep the camera pointing downwards while doing many stop&go maneuvers .
I’m really satisfied with this little guy. Hopefully, it will last more seasons with me.
I’m a beginner (30 hours airtime).I find the drone very stable and responding acutely to joysticks without GPS and much less responsive with GPS on. Works nicely with GPS and the app. Then,resists gusts of wind nicely. Recording in auto white balance leaves strange purple tint in the shadows,which goes away in Shadow and Cloudy manual modes. The Wi-Fi image transmition greatly depends on the phone you use. It may prove tricky to record smooth footage without jerks. Be prepared to have access to extra smartphone. I only ever managed to reach 350m range before loosing signal, the manual promised 500m. Battery life is good, though gets less in cold weather. Charging time way to long- up to 5hrs. You need to check and sometimes tighten the screws fixing propellers to motors, they may get loose, it’s very dangerous. Tutorial videos are to simplistic,not for beginners. You learn more from other channels. Also , the maps for tap fly mode may take for ever to download, better to get them on the app before flying, unless mobile data signal is strong in the area. Most of above knowledge I got by trial and error,some slowed down my learning progress not being mentioned in the manual. I got a lot of help from Holystone team emailing back and forth. Overall, good value for money and useful stepping stone to becoming expert pilot on any drone.
bought this after i had bought a cheaper drone and returned due to the quality, the difference was immense. this drone was far superior in every way, although it took me a few hours to get my head round the instructions once i had it was easy to operate, the drone itself is well built and feels solid in construction, it is pretty stable when in flight and a useful addition on the app is the beginners setting which allows you to play around till you get used to flying the drone. all in all i would recommend this as a first drone.
After a lot of research into drones the 720E came out with one of the best overall reviews.
The battery life during flight time is good as is the wi-fi connection from the drone to the app.
Camera quality is excellent.
The BIG downside is its compatibility to connect to smartphones. I have a fairly new Samsung A10 and it will not connect to my phone.
I would recommend check your phones compatibility before purchasing.
The drone will function and fly without connecting to a smartphone but you won’t be able to see what you are filming or taking photos of.
I made an enquiry to Holy Stones help desk and got a reply back basically telling me to get another phone.
300 for a drone and then upgrade my phone…hmmmm

I cannot get a picture on my tablet and customer servises just keep asking what ‘0hone I am using ? I have told them I am using a samsung tab ‘2’ tablet twice ,they just ask what phone ?

I’m very happy that I bought this drone – it’s an excellent piece of kit, easy enough to operate with brilliant build quality and comes with so much in the box that I’d have expected to pay extra for (high quality carry-case, spare battery, charger that takes 2 batteries at once, spare blades, screws, screwdriver) and the app works really well too – feature-packed with options that I’d have expected to pay 3 times as much for!
Very impressed by the video quality, which is proper 4K, and the follow me, return to home and orbit flight modes, to say the least. Looking forward to taking the stabilisers off (taking off ‘beginner mode’) and stretching its legs properly! Very impressed and happy to highly recommend!
I happily say that this HS720E drone is amazing. Everything functions well and it has a follow me mode which is basically that were you carry the control the drone will fly after you. Also there is an orbital flight mode which is when the drone circles around you, you can select the distance of how close it can fly to you. This product makes excellent pictures and videos and it can be chosen in full HD or 4K. Also there are two extra batteries so you can fly longer and it has a solid waterproof case. I think that all it needs to be improved is a 3 axis Gimbal. I would recommend this product to be flown in sunny days and that it should not be flown in the wind. When I flew it in the wind my drone got carried away and that it was broken but I contacted customer service and they said it was beyond repair so they said they will send me a new one even though it was my fault that I broke it. So I would like to say that this is an amazing drone but the customer service is even better. If you are thinking about buying this drone I would strongly recommend it.
The Holy Stone Drone HS720E makes it easy to learn all about Drone Flying with the excellent instructions, website information and video tutorials. My HS&20E was soon commanding the skies and the operation settings make it an ideal choice for the novice and experienced pilot. I have no hesitation in recommending the HS720E to anyone who wants the best drone at the best price.
Very pleased with this robust drone. It’s my first, so it took 1/2 hour to work out how to fly, but once understood, it’s simple! Easy for beginners as the drone just hovers in one spot if you don’t press anything, and one click of the Home button brings it back (a little slower than I first thought). Battery lasts about 15-mins before a warning going low. I find it easy to maneuver and set-up on my iphone, but although the camera makes large sharp images, they’re a little flat (low contrast). But for the money, so would a cheap digital camera! Beautiful case and glad I opted for the second battery.
I am pleased to say that the HS720E seems to have been a good choice. It is well made; comes with 2 batteries and a nice carry case. My iphone 11 is securely held on the remote and the app is good and is being actively developed as there have already been one or two updates in the short time I’ve owned it.
The camera quality is good for the price, but like many 4K cameras, the nominal resolution exceeds the ability of the optics. It would be good if the EIS could be switched off as I think it might make panning smoother (more experienced flyers may correct me on this). I would also like to see the ability to pan the camera via the app as well as via the remote as it would allow two operators to share the flying / camera work a little more effectively.
I am finding the claimed battery life pretty accurate, but so far the wifi range far less than I’d hoped. Also, following wifi loss it failed to restore when the drone was brought closer, but I have noticed a recent app update that mentions something about this so it may be fixed.
I want to launch the drone from a boat in summer to get some action footage and I tried to find out whether the home location can be re-set during use (not just when switching on with the button on the drone) so I can land it on dry land; set the home point; then control it from a moving boat knowing it will return to dry land if it loses comms or gets low on battery and not to where it was first launched from the boat. I am pleased to say that this is possible as when you land and lock the drone via the remote, the home point is reset when you again unlock it via the remote. Other people might find this information useful.
Overall, an excellent little drone; a doddle to fly – you’d have to try hard to crash it in my opinion as it seems to look after itself. I am looking forward to building my experience with it.
I bought the HS720e about a month ago. I have flown this Drone about 8 times to date. I have an iphone 6s which handles the Ophelia Go App just fine. With the recommended number of satellites connected it is extremely stable, however I recommend becoming a competent pilot before venturing too far. I have used all batteries twice and they run for a good 23 minutes each. It has some useful feature including return to home provided you are connected to at least 7 satellites. It is well made with quality parts and is well presented in a custom made carry case.
Only managed a couple of flights due to extra windy conditions. However, after reading reviews and with limited flying so far, it is proving to be a good upgrade from my HS165. Have tried in breeze of 10 – 12 mph and it does seem a little unstable or it may be I’m a little nervous due the cost. Great build quality and good features. At this time I would say that the camera both for stills and movies are second to none! The recording is so smooth, no jerkiness at all. I would highly recommend even for beginners.

Recently treated myself to the HS720E drone,look like a good drone and after researching it I’m sure it is,just waiting for some decent weather to test it out.

Being a newbie to drones, I spent a lot of time watching reviews of drones on YouTube.
When buying a drone, price and purpose is key. Captain Drone gives a good honest review of entry level drones. Based on his review, I bought the Holystone hs720e.
I was not disappointed. Opening my package reveals a nicely put together case that the drone and accessories comes in.
The drone and all of the other components in the case definitely have a high quality build feel. Very easy to fly, but don’t be too flippant with the weather regarding wind speed. The las thing that you want to do is lose your drone. I’m using UAV Forecast, this means that I can check conditions and fly without too much fear of flyaway. Brushless motors are nice and quiet. Taking stills or video is a cinch with pretty good image results. Ophelia go is pretty straight forward, default settings are set up before beginners which is easily changed.
Weighing in at 495g you will need to take an online test (40 multiple choice) which you can take as many times as you need. You will then have a flyer ID. The license is 9.00.
I’m very happy with my purchase so far, and having fun flying.
Holystone customer service is second to none. I asked several questions before my purchase, and got all of the information that I needed.
Return to home was pretty accurate the first few times. I’ve had a few times where it starts to land where it is at that point. Hopefully this is operator error and I will get the hang of it soon.
My father started off my interest in drones by suggesting drones might be better than helicopters and he told me that Holy Stone was a good brand to check. So, I then started looking for the perfect drone for me. I looked at budget drones all the way up to the really expensive ones. Then I looked at this HS720e and it blew straight past my expectations.
It is an incredibly simple to operate but powerful drone with a great 4k UHD camera that actually works!! I am also impressed by the feaures like follow me and circle me, auto take-off/auto-landing and return home. This drone is also built to a pretty darn good standard and I would personally recommend this to beginners. The camera and focus is really impressive and it can fly really high. The higest I have gone is like 50 metres but I know it goes a lot higher! Anyway, overall review, really nice and simple drone with great functionality and solid build quality in par with more expensive drones. Great job Holy Stone!!
I’ve always wanted a “proper” drone but just couldn’t justify spending 600-800 odd pounds on one.
This one came up on deal of the day for 260 so I read the reviews and went for it.
It is an excellent drone in my opinion. Very easy to fly but ONLY after you have watched some videos on what to do and not do.
Rule number 1. DO NOT FLY WITHOUT GPS!!
I nearly lost it on my first flight as I was too eager and hadn’t watched any videos.
I now know that pre flight checks are essential.
If you learn how to use it properly, do your CAA test and get your licence (9) and find a nice open area to fly, you will have hours of enjoyment.

Nice compact box, reasonable battery life and good camera. Also, not too loud.
Connecting my phone to the drone was a little tricky.
I found that disconnecting your phone from anyother wifi first, then connecting the remote control to the drone and finally yoru phone to the drone wored best.
Also there is a little fold out flap on the phone holder that wasnt immediately apparent at first. Once I’d ffound this my phone was snug although you have to avoid the on/off button on some phones.
I’m really pleased with my purchase. I had tried quite a few other drones and they did either not meet the description, or they were poor quality.
I can honestly say I really enjoy the HS720E. Its really easy to use and has plenty of great options to limit its flight path / speed if you are a beginner or a younger member of the family fancies a go.
The camera is superb quality, especially with when if you put a memory card in the drone which gives the max picture quality.
Overall for us it was worth investing that little bit more to get the quality this units delivers.
Great value and performance you would expect from a drone costing twice as much. Brilliant battery performance, easy to use for the beginner or the seasoned user. This is a overlooked drone, don’t let this one pass you by.
After doing quite a bit of research for an entry level drone, I finally settled on the Holy Stone HS720E. This premium, brushless motor drone is excellent value for money and has several features that others in this price range don’t have. For example, it has GPS, Return to Home, one-key (auto) take-off and landing, a reliable range of 500m with video transmission to your phone (up to 1Km without), 2 batteries, and a basic video stabiliser. I’ve had it for a few days now and am very happy with this purchase. I’ve also recommended it to a few friends.
It’s a very good, well-built drone suitable for beginners like me. The drone is built to a high standard and comes with spare rotors and accessories in a sturdy case.
It’s very easy to set up and you can be up and flying almost immediately. I recommend making sure the battery is fully charged before your 1st flight. You should also be outdoors in a wide-open space so that it can reliably be calibrated and detect GPS satellites. Battery life has been quite good so far, and even on cold (1-2C), breezy (12-15mph) days, each battery comfortably lasts 15-18 mins before the 1st alert comes on.
As the drone weighs just under 500g, you will need to apply for a Flyer ID and Operator ID in the UK by passing a short, easy test. Please note that as this drone weighs over 250g, you cannot fly over people or populated areas.

* The camera movement isn’t very smooth mid flight
* The camera has a basic cushioned stabiliser, rather than a 3-axis gimble, so cinematic sequences are harder to film if you want really smooth, buttery motion
* It would be good to have a ‘dronie’ feature released as part of a software update for the phone
* When the drone is far way in High Speed mode, it can temporarily lose connection with the controller for a few seconds before reconnecting again. It will then use GPS to automatically return home.
* The charger provided only charges 1 battery at a time (takes 6-7 hours), even when both batteries are connected
Bought this for my sons xmas. He’s a little bit nervous of it around the house but out in the open space it is great fun. Definitely need to have a few practice sessions to get used to the controls. Once it goes very high the breeze can catch it so you need to be able to control it. I am struggling to get the GPS to work. There is a Return to base feature which I can’t use for some reason, but will work it out.
Well, I’ve got to say, that I am really satisfied with my purchase.
The build quality of this product is brilliant – it looks and feels like a high quality piece of kit. It was easy to prepare for flight and was relatively straight forward to get in the air. I watched lots of YouTube videos beforehand and I would definitely recommend any other beginners doing the same. The instructions in the box are good but I like seeing something demonstrated and there are lots of passionate people out there ready to show you what to do.
I felt like a proper kid – excited and giddy – flying the HS 720e! It is even better than expected. I got to grips with the controls quickly and it felt mostly intuitive. Taking pictures and video was easy and the quality is brilliant! Amazing sights in 4k.
Stabilisation seems good, as long you’re not “jerky” with the controls but, I guess, that goes without saying.
I find the app to be good and straight forward. I am quite used to this type of app from using other types of cameras (actions, compact and DSLR) so I’m used to switching off mobile data and bluetooth before syncing.
Now, unfortunately my phone doesn’t have multiple wifi frequencies – only 2.4ghz not 5ghz – so the drone can’t be controlled with it. I’ve resolved this by using an old android handset we had in a drawer. This is important to mention, as it is not a problem of the drone or its app, but an issue with my phone. It would be unfair to judge one piece of kit because of the limitations of another, so please be aware. Now using the old handset, I can access photos and images and it is spot on.
Another point to be aware of is, when accessing content via the app, you will have two versions of recordings – one 720p directly onto the phone and the HD or UHD (depending on your settings) version on the SD card (if installed). Don’t lose your high quality footage by not paying attention to this!
I would also recommend downloading the full instruction booklet from the Holystone website as it has further information that isn’t in the booklet in the box.
To summarise, for anyone wanting to get into drone photography (but not going straight in at top end prices) the HS 720e is a no brainer!! Well worth the money.

From the moment you open the box this product is very good, I have had cheaper drones in the past. This blows them out of the water. The drone its self is well built very professional looking. The set up is very straight forward and flying it is very easy, looking forward to putting it through its paces when the weather improves. Camera footage is great also.
Well worth spending the extra money.

The hard case the drone comes in is first class,everything fits neatly in the case.
As for the drone flying capabilities it’s just as good,

Drone is responsive with the joystick,
The follow Me option is great fun when I’m walking the dogs,
Your not going to find anything close to as good for between two to three hundred pounds,
If you want better you would need to buy something close to eight hundred pounds.
Can’t wait to find out what Holy Stone bring out next to top this,hopefully some sort of anti collision option.

I am very happy with this Drone it is all good quality from the case to the drone it self. The camera seems to give a good stable video for the little I have done. The instructions are good and it is easy to set up a and fly. Very good value a good first drone.
This is my first drone, and what can I say? I’m absolutely blown away by how cool this drone is. I’ve had so much fun flying it today. It comes pre-set to be in a beginner’s mode which means that you’re less likely to crash it. Fortunately it didn’t take long for me to be ready to switch the beginner mode off and that’s when the fun really started. I’m officially a drone fan.
The drone comes neatly packaged in a lovely case that doesn’t feel cheep at all. The drone itself is an amazing piece of technology, it looks so futuristic.
Flying it is such a pleasurable experience, it is very stable. I don’t have anything to compare it to, but as an absolute beginner I was able to successfully fly the drone in breezy conditions.
Overall I am so pleased with my drone and I would recommend it to everyone.
I was browsing Amazon offer for some time and came across on Holy Stone HS720EIS. What an amazing offer! It has got everything I wanted from my drone, even more, for a fantastic price. I have checked the reviews and some YouTube videos and finally purchased my next drone.
I received my parcel quick as always in Prime and was very pleasantly surprised while unboxing the drone. It’s very well packed in a designated, exceptionally good looking case. Has got 2 batteries which allows of more than 40 mins of flying, set of spare props and a manual, which is simple to read and intuitive.
Drone itself is very well built, has got optical flow sensor on the bottom which helps maintain stability along with GPS. Also has 2 very bright LED’s which helps a lot while flying in the dusk.
For me drone was easy to set up and calibrate. Also flying the drone is very easy and can be done with smartphone or without. I do prefer using Ophelia app as it’s simple and well designed. It also allows me to fly my HS720E with FPV goggles. That was the main factor for me to buy this drone. Bit shame this was not mentioned anywhere — in product description or in all reviews or YT videos I have checked.
I’m amazed how stable is FPV video feed as it doesn’t lag almost at all. Drone also maintains connection with controller and app very well and I haven’t had any issues of loosing signal. I do prefer to fly my drone with a line of sights – about 150-200 metres away, though it can fly much further. I also purchased a 32G SD card above class 10 which goes in the slot on the bottom of the drone.
I was a bit sceptical about not having a gimbal, but let me say this clear — Sony sensor and EIS does the job exceptionally well and videos are smooth and very good quality. I would suggest using a “tripod” mode (speed 1) to achieve an expected outcome.
Batteries are charged in one dock charger, but one in a time. It takes about 7 hours x 2 to fully charge them. I use 1,5A charger. It is recommended not to use anything more than 2A. It’s quite long, but slow charging prevents them from being hot and as a result of that it extends their life span.
I have owned HS720E for a few months now and I can honestly recommend this drone to beginners and more experienced users. It has got everything you need for a fantastic price. You buy a whole combo. You will not be disappointed. And on the top of that there is an exceptional customer service available to our questions and concerns. They respond quickly.

Great drone for beginners and experts alike. Incredible videos and photos from the 4K camera which has built in stabity. Very sturdily built and decent battery life of about 23 mins. It comes with a spare battery which is very handy. The Ophelia Go app is very easy to use which has Follow Me, and Orbit and Headless Mode and the app has just been updated. All in all great value for money and I love it.
This is my first drone, received as a Christmas present. I have flown it several times and found it to be stable, responsive and easy to control. The videos have been high quality. Having read lots about user mishaps on various social media platforms I must stress how important it is to follow the guidelines and setup protocols each time before flying and hopefully you will have many hours of pleasant flying.
I did some research before diving in, and the HS720E seemed to fit the bill – not too expensive, good quality build and camera with the features that would make it easy enough to fly for a complete novice.
Out of the box I was impressed with the quality look and sturdiness of the drone, the controller looked good and the extras were a nice touch, the case, extra battery, prop blades etc.
Setup was easy, following the instructions. I found a couple of great videos on YouTube that helped too, unboxing and flying of this exact model; it always helps to see it done.
Flying just in my back garden was easy, despite the space available the auto take off and GPS position hold worked great, allowing me to try out the basics and test the camera and video, which I’m very happy with.
The app (Ophelia Go) was a bit temperamental but a quick Google found that by putting your phone in flight mode, then just activating WiFi to connect to the drone worked a treat, no crashes and able to use FPV.
All in all, really pleased with it, and look forward to some proper flights soon.
What’s not to like about this drone as a beginners drone, comes in a neat case to keep everything in, compact and straight forward enough to use, and there are also helpful videos on you tube. Personally, i found the camera very stable in flight and have taken some impressive videos and photos. the return to home function works really well and the drone lands very close to its actual take off point, all in all, everything a beginner would need with a fantastic back up service, well done Holy stone, nice one!
Took the plunge, no regrets!
First off, I have been thinking about buying a drone for photography for literally years but the price of the high-end drones put me off. But I recently looked into it again and was pleasantly surprised by both the price and features available and decided to buy the Holy Stone HS720E.
The first thing to mention is the build quality, which is really great and easily comparable to much more expensive models. Although I have only used it a few times, so far the battery life has exceeded the 23 minutes advertised. The drone can record images/video’s either directly to a TF card (4k) or to your phone (1080p). I bought a 128gb class-10 U3 card to go with the drone…if you invest in a 4k drone, you may as well get the best out of the camera.
The picture quality is superb and the electronic image stabilization is also effective.
I have no hesitations in recommending this drone!
I’ve never left an Amazon review before but felt compelled to after using this drone for the first time. Being a complete novice, I was terrified of flying the thing – but I was completely blown away by how it flew. The hover and take off are so so impressive. It handles so easy and always returns home when needed. I’ve only been down to the local park with it (lockdown rules) but I can’t get enough of it. Took a few pics (above) on my first flight. Couldn’t believe how well it handled. I’d recommend this drone to anyone who wants to get into the hobby and snap some nice pics. My brother and mate are now considering buying one as well. 10/10
I decided on the Holystone Drone HS720E after watching the usual Youtube reviews. It has all the features that I was wanting and at a very good price. At this price level I was expecting a bit of a budget feel to it, but I was pleasantly surprised at how good it is. It was also very easy to set up and very soon i was ready to go.
I took it out for a test flight and it performed very well, surprising in fact!
It held steady in the air, the controls were very responsive and the camera quality is excellent for a drone at this price.
Cannot wait to take it out and try the follow me feature and really test it out, but first impressions are really positive and I am so happy I chose this drone.
EDIT – took it out and it is fab ! Just need to hone my skills a little. The video posted isn’t straight from the SD Card and is unedited. It is much better quality when viewed as a MOV file – this video is converted to MP3 to upload it.
Great looking product, quality build and easy to get setup and flying. Did a lot of research and watched quite a few video reviews and the HS720E really does perform for the price tag. Only niggle is the charger dock could be better, it’s quite easy for the batteries to slip out. It’s the one thing I picked up on from watching the reviews so I have 3D printed a docking station for it. Put this aside I would highly recommend.
Seems a well built unit. Simple to use and get up and running. Suggested phone app was playing up but the app “M RC PRO” is almost identical and works fine. I’ve not managed to get in the air much yet but the few flights achieved seem really easy to control. I’m sure I’ll do more flying when the weather improves. Altogether very impressed so far.
I bought this particular drone after some fairly in depth research, I am not disappointed! It is easy to set up, and easy to fly. I was expecting it to take a lot longer to get the hang of but after just a couple of sessions I feel confident to take it on some real adventures! The footage is good, it is solidly built, the range is great, not to mention the fact that it comes straight back if you send it too far! As an added bonus, the customer service is fantastic so I look forward to dealing with some more Holy Stone products in the future!
I purchased two of these drones for My Father & brother for Christmas. I really didn’t know much about drones before purchasing, but i had looked up reviews. I have to say both of them were really impressed with the drones, it really is a great quality drone, it feels so sturdy, and made of good quality material, nice and heavy, just right! It really takes such impressive footage in tripod mode. Take off and landing made much easier with all the cool functions it has. The return to home is a great feature to have when flying out and about. He has yet to try out the orbit mode or follow me mode, but has loved exploring the local area with it. He has taken footage every day since & it is being out the great use! It truly is an excellent drone to ow
I wanted a drone that would fly stably and respond to the controls – it does. I wanted a drone with a good camera for (HD) video and photos – it does. I wanted a drone that recorded video and pictures on an on-board SD card – it does.
It also has other useful features – the “return home” feature has always landed the drone within 1m of its take-off point. The app has worked well for me – it provides a good viewfinder for the video, especially useful when remotely raising and lowering the camera. I have tried out the circle around a point of interest – it works. The controller has a rich amount of information on its display. The drone appears to be well made and robust – and the carry case is excellent. Overall a good choice to replace my beginner drone.
I bought this drone for my son for Christmas and it has massively exceeded expectations.
The instructions are clear and easy to follow and we were up and flying not long after the batteries were fully charged.
The drone itself is really well built and the fact it comes with spare propellers gives piece of mind should the inevitable happen.
The fact it has a slow/fast setting allows you to get used to the controls before moving onto the fast flight setting.
All in all a great first drone, so could you probably won’t need to get another one.
This drone is fun and easy to fly especially for a beginner and the customer service is quick and efficient at sorting any problems you might have. I’m enjoying learning to use drones thanks to holystone. Battery life is what they say and with the Return to home feature means I’m not going to lose my drone. I’m really impressed with holystone drones and their customer service.
Very stable, flies very accurately takes excellent video comes home to within 3 metres , I bought this after watching several you tube reviews and I am really pleased with it. I really like the fact that it can be operated at two speeds although I only used the low speed for a short time. Only fault I can find is battery life is not 24 minutes but it may just be due to my inexperience with this model. GPS is good, I had eighteen satellites and despite seeing other folks problems with the ophelia go app it worked perfectly for me.
This is the first time I have bought a drone, so I have been checking out the market for some time to find the right one, and with the Holy Stone HS720E I have not been disappointed.
With some very easy instructions, it wasn’t long before the drone took its maiden flight, and the photographs and video taken were really impressive, especially how stable the footage is.

This is my first drone and I absolutely love it.
Once you have read the instructions and I also watched a few online videos before I set to flight.
I took it to an open field and made sure I had GPN enabled and had a good number of satellites. it shows on the app and the controller how many are connected.
I could not believe how easy it was to fly this drone. I also tried it without the GPS enabled and found that much harder, but will probably be easier with some practice.
I also still have all the default beginner settings on the app and set the drone to low mode (slower).
I would highly recommend this drone for beginners and the price was great.
The drone itself is a fantastic piece of kit. Well built and very responsive.
The only problem is the Ophelia App that you have to download to control the machine.
I have new Android phone and downloaded app from store only to find it crashes every 30 seconds or so.
What’s the point of having s state of the art drone if you can’t fly it. I contacted customer service and recieved a broken English reply telling me to scan barcode for app…..utter claptrap. The worst type of service. Stay away !!!until they sort the app.
Package arrived within 48hours of ordering. First time drone owner so apprehensive about how easy it would be master basic piloting. After reviewing the straightforward instruction manual i took it for its maiden test flight the following day. Highly recommended to go to a big open space like a park of sport field to get the hang of the basics, especially take off, landing and the RTH feature. Once you get to know the basics, flying the drone becomes quite intuitive, especially for a beginner like me. The calibration steps seem cumbersome at first but they quickly become second nature after a few flights and it’s recommended to calibrate the drone on flat ground before each flight to ensure GPS and other autonomous feature work correctly. Have yet to try out the Follow Me and Orbit features but very impressed with the video footage. The 720E is great introductory drone if this is your first time owning/flying one. Very impressed so far.
This is my first dip of the toes into the world of drones. I have much experience with rc model cars and planes but thought it was time to try out a drone. This model had great reviews and was relatively inexpensive compared to some on the market. The packaging is professional and the carry case is a nice touch. After pairing and doing the calibration I had a little play inside first and the optical flow sensor works pretty well. So far so good! I have now tried it outside and I must say this is a very good package even for a beginner with no experience. Just make sure you read the instructions thoroughly. GPS works well and the Ophelia Go app is pretty easy to use. May not have the collision avoidance and huge range of very expensive drones but great fun and easy to use. Recommend highly.
I can’t believe how good this is for the money.
The stability in flight and the return to home function make this really good and relatively safe for a first timer.
I haven’t put the video and photos on a large screen yet but they look fantastic on a phone screen.
I would recommend this before you dpend big money on a mavic or DJI to be honest you maybe would stick with this unless you were using it for commercial purposes
Ordered this drone as my Christmas present from my wife and its very good after reading the manual and downloading the app it was flight time. The drone is very stable and very suitable for beginners like me, the battery life is excellent I got 24 mins out of the battery which is good. The photo and video quality is very good the drone was easy to fly and the added features are great especially the return home function. If you want a good first drone definitely go for this one you won’t be disappointed.
What an amazing drone from Holystone really love the case and how it all fits in the case gives me the opportunity to take it with me on my mountain bike and explore sights I’ve never seen. You can be pretty confident that if there’s a problem it will come back and you will not find it sat on somebody’s car or through a greenhouse This is really an excellent quality machine and will give hours of pleasure although I am going to purchase another 2 batteries so I can be out flying for some time
I like how compact the drone is 10/10 and the storage case very user friendly — make sure you purchase a landing pad
Once familiar with the controls you can use the drone as i did to check my guttering saving me the task of climbing up a set of double ladders on my own
Make sure that you follow the instructions read them twice so you are familiar with each stage ensure the batteries are fully charged if they are not the drone will come back home
Make sure that you start the Drone outdoors (preferably in a wide open space until you get a feel for the controls of the drone) and wait for the hand set to pick up the available satellites
Take your time if this is your first Drone (like me) and enjoy.
I haven’t really had chance yet to fly apart from a little slot of decent weather last week. The battery life is as described and the set up super easy. The picture recordings on my phone are fabulous but I believe the tf card is higher quality. I wish I had bought one earlier its fun and really is easy to use. Thanks
January 12th I have now had a chance to fly and wow absolutely fantastic. Again the picture quality recorded on my phone is super and the camera stability very good. This is my first drone and I have found it to be very easy to use.
his was my second attempt at the holy stone drone the first i could not get it to connect to the satellites so i sent it back no problem there. i looked round at other drones but kept coming back to Holy Stone this had every thing that i wanted so i ordered another …..glad i did after 10 mins it connected to the satellites (after that it stays connected ) and of i went it is easy to operate( this is my first one i am 64 male ) the video is clear and steady and i love it cant wait for the summer and lock down to finish to show its true potentially
My first drone and although not cheap it’s not thousands but the quality is the same. Great build, absolute quality with great easy to read instructions and lots of functions that you find on the very expensive models. Highly recommend this Drone, fantastic! I did a fair amount of research before buying my first drone not wanting to start with a cheap one to practice and then step up to a more sophisticated one later. This one stood out as having every feature I wanted and being easy to fly but at a reasonable cost.
The HS720E has easily exceeded my expectations on every front! Firstly it is a well thought out combination of drone, controller, charger, two batteries and spare blades all in a smart case – no extras necessary other than the TF card. The App is easy to use and intuitive but what I did not expect at this price was the quality of build which is superb.
I have only flown mine a few times so far but it is simple to use and surprisingly stable in gusting winds while the photos and videos are of a very good quality.
I would not hesitate in recommending this drone.
I must say that being new to flying drones this as exceeded all all my expectations for the price and quality of the drone.
Very easy to fly why the GPS makes it very reassuring that if you lose sight of it it is simply press the return home button and it will come straight back which takes a lot of anxiety out of flying.
My first flight it was quite breezy and yet we’re still very stable.
Battery life is ok especially good having two batteries which gives you the longer flying time.
All in all very pleased and would recommend.
I couldn’t justify paying the price of a DJI so went for the holy stone and very pleased
It comes with a semi-rigid carry case, containing the drone, batteries, charger and controller. The controller requires 2 AA batteries, and pairs with a phone using WiFi.
The drone is very easy to fly, with one joystick for left/right/forward/back, and the other for up/down/rotate left and right. There are other controls for rotating the camera angle, taking photos and automatic return to the take off location. The controller’s LCD display shows information such as battery status, height and distance. The phone screen shows the drone eye view. It is generally easy to keep track of the drone in flight, and if you lose track of it there is a one key “return home” function, which will fly back to the take off site and and land automatically. This function certainly gives a beginner user a sense of security, and in testing it was able to land within a couple of metres of its take off position. The claimed range of 500 metres. I’ve flown up to 300m (the maximum allowed in my country without a professional licence), and have had occasional cutouts of video or control signals (it’s always reacquired within a few seconds), so I wouldn’t be comfortable flying further away, even if it was allowed.
The drone has a Micro SD card slot, and accepts a card for recording photos and video. The card is not included, so be sure to factor one into your budget. I picked a 64GB card which added about 10 to the price. It can record photos or videos at a lower resolution directly to the phone without the SD card, but this is not recommended.
It is easy to record video and take still photos, and the quality is excellent. One thing to note s the camera is directly mounted on the drone, rather than on a gimbal found on more expensive drones. This results in movement of the drone affecting the camera angle. For example, the camera will point down while the drone moves forwards.
The camera can be rotated through one axis, from straight forward to straight down. Any other change of camera direction must be achieved by moving the drone. This isn’t a major limitation, but if you need full independent control, this might not be the best drone to choose.
The drone comes with two batteries, plus a card offering an extra battery for writing an “honest review” on Amazon. Each battery gives up to 25 minutes of flying time. The controller will warn when battery is getting low, and will restrict altitude. It is advisable to bring the drone home and land quickly, and I haven’t tested how long it will fly after the low battery warning.
The included charger can charge two batteries at once, but fully charging both batteries takes around 5 hours. The charger plugs into a USB charger, so USB mains adapter is required. Most phone chargers should be fine for this. Charging is a little slow, so be prepared for some down time between flying sessions. Three batteries will give well over an hour of flying time.
I feel this is an excellent drone for a very reasonable price, and I am happy to recommend it.

A great, well made drone and a very good price. Very easy to control and learn, the image quality is just fantastic. This package has two batteries that means you have twice the fun and rarely miss a scene or image because the battery has gone. The batteries last around 45 to 55 minutes which is great.
For a first drone, this is perfect.
I decided to use it a couple of times before posting my review so I could be honest as possible.
Firstly, the drone itself looks good, the remote lightweight and you also attach your phone to it. It comes with a carry case which makes transporting it to locations simple.
Collaborating the drone is easy to do and worked first time for me.
The battery life is good compared to other drones and receiving two batteries made it a lot more enjoyable as you get roughly 40 minutes fly time.
The joy sticks are very responsive and make flying a lot easier for a first time drone owner.
The videos I’ve managed to get so far are absolutely amazing but I am still yet to get them uploaded onto my laptop.
I would recommend this drone to anyone who is thinking of purchasing a drone for the first time or even someone with experience.
The 2 speed option is great in slow speed / tripod mode it makes navigating through and over objects very easy.
There is also, if a bit limited , zoom function on the camera app.
It’s a small craft but amazingly stable in a light to moderate breeze. Can get wobbled by a stronger gust but recovers quickly.
Return to home function is brilliant and very accurate.
If you don’t want to spend a fortune but get really good results – get one.

This was a total impulse purchase and I’m so happy I went through with it. I’ve never owned or used a drone before and I’m having great fun with it. It’s a serious piece of technology!
I still can’t get over the speed it flies in sports mode and the picture quality is great. It’s not professional quality but neither is the price.
If you want a bit of fun and to be able to explore the world around you from a different perspective then this could be a great buy for you.
Right from opening the excellent soft cover hard case this feels a quality product. The two batteries mean nearly a full hours flying. Stability is amazing with the device saying rock solid still and responding to very subtle shifts of the joysticks. This makes learning to fly very simple and with the ability to use the software to limit height and speed sensible flyers should have no concern about losing the device or crashing it – I bought it principally to inspect several roofs of a large country house and the flight stability coupled with a zoomable excellent 4K video and stills, it does the job better than expectations ( and has saved me countless trips onto the roof ) – The image stability is superb and even in windyish conditions the results are like the opening of some feature films with smooth shudderless video – Battery charger fits both batteries simultaneously but they only charge in sequence so no time is saved – it’s clear from the led which battery is getting charged however – the charger is small and compact but a little fiddle and the battery can become easily detached – annoying more than anything else – overall this is an excellent drone that feels a quality build in a great case – flight set up and controls are simple for beginners and the two batteries give nearly an hour of use – Please note I have not received any inducement to leave this review specifically I have not taken up the offer of a free battery – all views are my ow
This is my second drone from Holy Stone and I was indefinably not disappointed, Quality from the onset, tough case to keep everything safe small enough to chuck in a backpack or bag, protecting the contents well. Easy to set up (read the manual) LOL! long flight times with the two batteries supplied. (long charge time though). I will be getting 2 more batteries which will easily cover my needs. Images and video quality is amazing by comparison. I contacted the customer care team and my questions were answered in very good time. I might “brighten” the drone up even with the LED lights against our woodland could be a challenge to easily see at points! i do recommend this product and am not disappointed, I will be buying again in the future as Holy Stone continue to develop their drones ! Also my 7 year old has taken a fancy to mine……. No chance at the moment!! enjoy all!!
As others have commented, this drone is beautifully made, the pivoting arms being neatly engineered so that when folded allow the HS720E to be slipped into a jacket pocket between flights.
Other features are its stability, enabling precise positioning when in ‘Tripod’ (low speed) mode, and the high definition photo/video camera, with EIS (anti vibration technology) and Sony sensor, producing superbly clear photos and steady videos.
Along with a safe operating range of up to a kilometre (you must fly it in line of sight, however, and being darkly coloured can be difficult to spot) this is an exceptionally accomplished drone. Should you lose sight of it, or the battery become low, it will return to base at the press of a button, or even automatically when the battery voltage has fallen below a certain level, a most reassuring benefit that results in it touching down within a few feet of where it took off.
The Controller is near-perfect in all respects, the illuminated screen giving all the info needed for safe flying, whether by day or night. The ability to switch on bright ‘landing lights’ for night flying adds another dimension to the enjoyment, providing a finishing touch to an already fine machine.
All of which puts the 720E well ahead of its competitors in this price bracket.
Moral of my experience? Buy Once/Buy Well — the Holy Stone HS720E is outstanding value for money and looks built to last.
My first drone. Easy to fly. Pretty stable and has the return to home feature which is a life saver, The Sony Image Stabilization works really well. Compared to the first model the HS720, its far better. Well worth the buy. Note: Get yourself some extra batteries. The charger that comes with the unit takes 2 batteries but only charges one at a time. If you are doing a lot of flying it takes ages to recharge the full set. I have 7 batteries and have ordered another charger.

It has two batteries and a comprehensive controller with a small screen to show battery levels, height, distance, GPS status and a host of other functions. A pull out holder enables the “pilot” to enhance the experience by connecting a smartphone.
The Ophelia Go App works a dream on my Android phone (unlike the DJI Fly app).
It has two speed flight- ideal for beginners or advanced users. I was wary at first when switching over to full power but soon got the hang of it as the response was so accurate.
Cons:
The battery takes about 6 hours to charge.
The USB charger provided takes 2 batteries but unfortunately, only charges one at a time(???) Major oversight. I recommend buying an extra charger and 2 batteries

Similar to many drones the HS720E is dark grey/black. This makes it difficult to see at low levels when it merges into the background – especially trees. I intend to paint the rear florescent yellow or white so I can see it from a distance.
I considered purchasing the DJI Mini but due to the compatibility issues with the DJI Fly App on Android phones I went for the HS720E instead. Why spend 250 on a DJI Drone when you would then have to spend another 200 on a compatible Smartphone. It’s a bit like buying a car without the steering wheel.
NO SUCH PROBLEMS WITH THE HS720E AND THE OPHELIA GO APP.

I love its come with a case protect the drone and easy to carry.
The controller you need two AA batteries to operate. The controller very easy to handle even if you out of the camera range still give you details how far and how high is your drone. Also tell you the drone speed.
Batteries can do about 15 – 20 minutes fly time depends on usage. When the battery down to 10 percent power your drone come back to you by it self if you are not move. Like if you on a moving push bike, boat that option dont work. Also comeback to you when it’s weak or no signal with the remote. The drone need satellite connections for full and safe operation excepton if you are a pro pilot.
The drone it’s brilliant how ever you need to calibrate properly every single time when you turn it on other wise will difficult to controll or impossible.
I did a good distance test on it. My record is 1366 meter distance on 105 meters high this is very impressive for an avarge 330 price drone. You only can do that if nothing interfere with the drone WiFi electric fences metal objects, mobile or radio frequencys. The camera distance about 600 meters after you lose the camera picture so you liable on the remote. The reason for that because the camera connet via wifi to your mobile or tablet or pc instead satellites. The max altitude is limited to 120 meter high. So you can’t go above that with this drone. I think it’s UK regulation.
Camera make amazing 4K pictures and videos.
Unfortunately no night vision or flashing option so you will straggule make pictures in the dark. But again it’s a cheap drone in that matter.
of its many features as they are what determines someone whether to buy it or not. Having flown many drones I was immediately impressed with the advanced specifications the 720E possesses.
It has ‘ electronic stabilization ‘ which really does enable a stability in even windy conditions. The
‘gimbal’ mounted 4k 5G camera which is Sony sensored is controlled from the joystick and thanks to this stabilisation produces sharp blur free images and videos such as I haven’t seen before . I used a 128gb micro SD card to record everything without any problem. The 720E has many refinements which make flying it not only easier but also more safely, status lights on the propeller arms, battery power remaining highly visible on the main body and even powerful landing lights particularly useful at night. The transmitter is the same as that with the HS 510 but with many other functions such as camera direction control and speed variation . Battery power and longevity of flight, so often the nemesis of a drone has been attended to by Holy Stone. Two 7.4v 2800mAh batteries complete with dual charger are included each providing for me approx.26mins of flisht time. Unfortunately each require 5 hours of recharge time though when used in conjunction with each other should not leave the pilot wanting. The very quiet hum from the motors will disturb no-one, in fact I couldn’t hear them further than 10 metres away. The design of everything from the drone to the carrying case leave nothing to be desired. The drone folds and can fit into a pocket but is ready for use within seconds of need, the case is a light hard shell and the design of all the main parts leaves the user with a robust and aesthetic ‘ piece of kit ‘ that belies its cost. If you want a drone that is straight forward to use and yet is able to hover at any given altitude, has GPS location, will follow you anywhere, pursue pre-set way points, return safely to its home position and change speed at the press of a remote button…..and have loads of fun ..I strongly recommend the 720E.
It only took me about 15 minutes to read and work out how to fly. I ran tests such as ‘return to home’ on my first flight just to make sure I could recover from an awkward situation, and the drone came right back to within 12 inches of where it took off from.
The kit came with two batteries which is a bonus as you are bound to fly for longer than you think and will be looking for the spare battery. The dual battery charger takes a while to charge fully but I tend to leave it to do its job. All packed neatly into a robust carry case which is included in the price. Spare batteries can be bought for reasonable money.
It also came with a screwdriver to change the blades and spare sets of blades. Fly it with care and you won’t be changing the blades too often.
In flight I was able to manoeuvre the drone a low level in tight spaces with a degree of accuracy that I hadn’t expected. Once you have figured out the controls it is very straightforward to change direction , height and rotation.
All in this is a great package for beginner or expert. It’s compact size means it can go in a rucksack when you are heading off and can be deployed very quickly when the need arises.
I also own the HS720 and what an improvement the 720e is ! I really like this drone as something similar like the DJI Mavic will cost 3 or 4 times more. Ok it hasnt got a 360 gimbal but at this price this the 90 degree upgraded camera with Sony sensor is excellent. Try the tap fly mode and watch it follow the route going through the numbered points on the Ophelia Go app it really is great. The new Ophelia Go app also has a zoom function on there which again is a neat feature. The range of the drone and of the FPV is more than enough to be very useful for various shots and video clips. I notice when using the RTH button it seems to be more accurate when returning from a short distance , when returning from a lot further it can miss the RTH spot by about 2 or 3 feet so not too bad. If your looking to upgrade to something more quality good flying range with decent camera and EIS this is the one I would go for.
A seriously impressive drone. I’ve flown many Holy Stones drones and this one is by far the best. The 720e is a large, sturdy drone, with a battery pack that provides over 20 minutes of flying time. It has GPS and compass features, which provide for a very stable flying experience and the camera has been significantly upgraded.
Other unique flying features include a tripod mode, which means that the drone flies very slowly, allowing the user to create smooth videos.
The battery charge time may be a bit longer than some desire, however it is at a price point where you can afford additional batteries and get some nice features that a Mavic Mini does not have.
Good turn of power and good battery life.
A superb 4k camera and the image stabilising works well. Comes with a lot of built in features due to the GPS. spiral photos etc points of interest as well.
All in all a solid drone. No memory card with this so you will need to buy one.
Holy Stone have it done themselves this time. In essence a fly more package for rock bottom price. Ideal as a first serious drone.
The extra photo settings, the orbits, the route planning etc. Honestly, for the money, this is one cracking drone!
AND WOW! THERE IS ACTUALLY ZOOM ON THE 4K VIDEO! WAY BETTER THAN THE DJI OPTIONS!

You will need a memory card, micro SD. a class 10 is recommended, I used a U3 class as I use these in my main big drone 🙂 I have been flying drones for close to 5 years, in that time I have flown the cheap 40 one, the intermediate ones and now have a very expensive one. This 720 is amazing for the money.
The set up to get going is very simple and easy todo.
Simple to use controller one button to unlock motors and one to take off and land very simple indeed.
You have the ability to adjust the camera from your remote while the drone is in the air so this is just great to get the best photo possible
With the duel charger you can ensure both battery’s are changed and ready for your flight
If using GPS mode a nice safety function has been added which won’t allow the drone to take off if you have 7 or less satellites which is great to stop having location issues.
The HS720e is so easy and simple to use my 8year old son has been able to fly this without issues.
The fact you can set the speed from low to high allows you to learn how to control the drone correctly before you take it higher and further away.
I find this drone is very responsive even when its out far the reactions are second to none its quick indeed.
Since this drone has been fitted with EIS ANTI-SHAKE this helps your photos from blurring and video quality, this is a massive improvement to the drone, similar to the technology in your mobile to ensure a smooth sharp photo but now its in your drone.
This drone has many useful functions which allows you pin point areas on a map and the drone will fly the path you set, you are able to allow the drone to follow you handy if doing stunts or competitions. You can even orbit an area this allows the drone to continue in a circle around a target you set.
As you get 2 x battery’s the flight time is great long lasting and more fun
Always remember when the battery runs low the drone will always return home this is the location you last took off from, much better than just landing were is over.
Out of all the drone i have bought this one has so far been the best for the price, its sturdy and strong, come in a nice case aswell to protect while traveling or storing it till next use.
Like all HolyStone products their customer service is unbeatable always there to help with any issue from setting up and using your drone to technical help and issues you have.
This is what I call my first real drone and can only say its totally brilliant its easy to fly and is very stable my previous drone eachine e520s was a bit light and seemed to have issues responding to control but hs720e is spot on ,when battery started to go flat it returned home straight away and flying was true pleasure ,the photos and videos are clear and steady and of a good quality ,all in all I highly recommend this as a great starter drone .
Its certainly a weighty drone but the flight time is awesome. I managed 54 mins! With the two provided batteries.
The batteries take 5 hours to charge together with the provided USB charger. Plugs into a standard usb charger which you need to provide. Though nothing more than 2 amps.
Setup was a little tricky. You need to download the app then connect to the drones wifi. That’s all simple. The tricky part is the geo calibration. It took 7 attempts rotation 360 degrees 3 times and horizontal 360 degrees . I was confused a bit but the message indicator on the left of the controller will tell you when your good to go just keep tapping that after each 3 rotations.
First flight was nervously exciting. Sounds like honey bees humming. Away it went up and and up. A pin prick in the sky! Tried to take photos etc but soon realised I hadnt put in a memory card! Will post those photos after next flight and amazon delivery.
The camera is soo clear and good range of movement control from the app or controller. See newly added photos and a video.
Press the return to home button and it’s on it’s way back and hovers exactly where it took off from.
Do not get you fingers in the way of the props. It hurts. There are no guards.
It’s a great drone when I’m more professional at flying it I will post more movies and photos.

One other thing. The follow me button is probably the best reason to by this drone. Went for a bike ride and it follows like a puppy at the altitude you set. Be careful though it can not avoid obstacles like signs or trees.

And the big brother to the HS720.
Very well constructed and full of features. Setting up is simple switch on drone. Then the remote. Then connect your phone via WiFi to the drone. Launch the app and away you go. Drone has follow me which takes a little getting used to. And points of interest. The drone shoots in 4k and a vast improvement to the 720. With this kit you get 2 batteries which easily give you over 40 mins of fly time. Everything comes in a nice semi hard case. And is well presented with spare props and an instruction booklet. This is really a serious contender to the big brands. That’s easy to fly for all ages. however in saying this. The picture quality from one of the big brands at a similar price is lesser resolution but intimately better quality. Vibrant colours and crystal clear. With these drones the quality is very good. But a little dull and flat.
It does have more features yes. But they can be fiddly to get to work. And connecting to your phone can be temperamental. With other brands they hard wire to your phone. Halfing the possible issues that can arise.
This is the latest drone in the series and is absolutely amazing. As with all Holystone drones it is easy to set up fly, but this drone now has EIS which stands for Electronic Image Stabilization which means that the camera is so stable when recording! This drone has 2 powerful batteries each lasting upto 24minutes giving you a possible 48mibs flying time! The handy changing dock lets you charge both batteries at the same time which is a great feature. Theres tap fly, follow me, headless mode and more to use including point of interest that you can set.
The transmitter is easy to set up and use, battery powered which is good, and your phone sits in it effortlessly and connects to the app easily too.
You can add an SD card to this drone, not included.
The return home feature is a one button press, perfect incase you lose sight of the drone which i did as its flys an incredible 500metres if you feel daring! See my video which shows video quality and stability, it could have gone higher and further but i was over my local park.
My son also flew this drone with me which proves its ease of use.
The carry case for this drone is smart looking, sturdy and perfect for transporting it safely, nice addition Holy Stone!
All in all, a perfect drone for anyone to use from beginners to pro flyers (not me!) coupled with amazing 46minutes flying time you cant go wrong with this drone.
